East Side Mario's in Oakville

Was late arriving but food was good and service was hot and fast.

Service was unprofessional and rushed, it seemed like they were trying to hurry us through our meal as fast as possible to get us back out the door. Food was passable italian food, worse than most people are capable of making at home as is expected but the price has increased so much over the years that it is virtually the same pricing as much better more upscale italian eateries so Im questioning why someone would ever go here without small children. And as one would expect at least one in our party has food poisoning the day after. Our entire meal there was an unbussed table complete with food that had been left out since before we arrived. Notably there was also a man wearing a Super Mario hat standing beside his groups table in the middle of the restaurant with his hat brim down glaring at our table of all women, were used to such behavior as a group because we all stand out but it was midly disconcerting and staff did not seem to notice this behavior.

I came here with my family tonight it was by far the best experience I ve ever had in an east side Mario s. Thanks to Britney!!! You did absolutely amazing & attended to our needs the entire dinner with no attitude because of you Britney well be back. Thank you so much!! Keep Britney around

This Eastside location was a terrible experience. Very poor service, the food was not great, salads had very little dressing, was not asked for refills for drinks or extra napkins, go here at your own risk, this customer wont be, not even for take out , lots of dirty tables with half touched food, may your experience be the opposite

Food is fine but service is brutal. You re lucky if they check in every 15 mins, drinks always empty. They often bring the appetizers with the meals. I always have to ask for the bread which they also bring with the meal. Just awful go to a different location

We sat down and waited for 30 minutes and no server came to give us anything. No water, no bread, nothing. We were all ready to order and there was a lady that came to tell us that our waiter was coming shortly and they never came. We were seated in a high traffic area where the waiters would constantly walk by us and it just seemed like we did not exist. We saw a bunch of waiters in the back standing around just talking and laughing. Very disappointed with the service, left without even getting some water. We went to Boston Pizza instead, service was significantly better and the food was good too. Really just cant believe that East Side somehow managed to deprive us of one of human rights...lol

1. All looked they were forced to come to work and not happy to attend. 2. Ordered food at 4 pm left with table out at 4.50pm a dine would take less time. 3. Then to compensate their mistake they gave us a spoon of tiramisu like a slap. 4. Washrooms were dirtier than public washrooms. Just an advise to the management of youre next to scaddabush atleast have a decent service. Never again Im going to this location.

I recently dined here and I had the most amazing service and waitress I ve had in a long time. Her name was Sequoia, she was so sweet and so attentive. She definitely made our little date night so fun. Would definitely come back all the way here just for her to be our server! She s absolutely the best!

Used to like east side Mario s for quick service and value, but never going back again. Went during lunch and seems like there was only one person working the dining area so everything was slow. Ordered the sausage penne off the lunch menu, and I know inflation is bad, but the size of it was like a kids meal at other places plus a little bit more. It came in a maybe 8 inch shallow bowl (like the ones for soup), but the part that make me question if inflation that bad is where there were only 7 or 8 thinly sliced pieces of sausage in the there (total maybe 1/3 to half a regular sausage at most), two stands of peppers, and one jalapeño pepper. Now not only do I not want to go to any east side Mario, I probably will avoid any restaurant owned by Recipe.

Came here for dinner with my sister and we had a delightful time. Our server, Sequoia, was super sweet and very helpful- definitely made our experience super. She offered great suggestions. Love the pasta deal going on right now!

First i walked in waited, almost 5 employees at the front i could see all of them, i think there was a manger too she saw me 5 times and ignored me all those time so I left what is the point to go there, it was not even busy, she saw me 4 times, all other staff didn t even bother coming to the front door.

Very disappointed. Service very slow despite not that busy. Caesar salad had almost no dressing and when I asked for a new salad was given a small cup of dressing instead. Had to ask for bread twice. Main course meals came however appetizer never appeared. Waitress disappeared for a while so by the time we were able to ask about appetizer we were almost done our mains and the waitress simply said ooops sorry. We will not be back

But the terrible service after . as my dress is soaked, barely an apology, no effort or rush to move us to a new table. No, in fact they dumped a pile of napkins on the table for us to clean it up. It was my first time going to East Side Marios with my boyfriend in a couple of years and I truly had the best customer service experience ever. From start to finish, our server was Seqoiua and she was so fast and very attentive to our needs. She was very friendly and gave quick service. I made many modifications to my pasta but she had my order on point! She checked in frequently which we appreciated, overall she made the experience a wonderful one. One of the best servers I have ever seen. I will definitely be coming back to this location because of her! 10/10

Extremely Disappointed with the Service at this location. For my toddlers birthday party, we ordered the kids meals from East Side Mario, I called weeks in advance and asked about the various meal choices and they gave me a list of options for food and drinks, I was also told if I order on the app, theres a $5 discount, the day of the party, I tried ordering on the app but it was glitching and wasnt working so then I called the location and they said they cant take order and to order online, I tried online and it still wasnt working, so then I called back again and they said to call their customer service line to place the order, so I called customer service and the person wasnt even aware of the options that was on the menu, kept telling me they had to call the restaurant to verify, so I hung up and just went in person to place the order and they messed up the order, out of 6 meals, they got 3 of them wrong when I was very clear and detailed on the order, as a result 3 kids were not able to eat properly. An order which should have only taken me 2 minutes to place was a 50 minute headache. So Disappointing.

My wife and I went to this East Side Marios and we had a really good experience, enhanced by the hospitality of our wonderful server, Sequoia. We specifically went to this branch rather than the Mississauga branch because we didnt like the service over there and it was a really good decision! Sequioa was a wonderful server and ensured we had a really good evening. The food was obviously good but what elevated the evening was elevated by Sequoias service. Thanks a lot for the wonderful evening!

I ve been to this place several times, and I don t always leave reviews, but I officially feel the need to write something positive just because of one particular server. Britney is excellent! She s super friendly, makes great recommendations, and always makes sure we have everything we need without hovering. On our last visit, she even noticed from all the way across the room that my iced tea was low and appeared with a refill just as I d finished the first one (I hadn t had much water that day, so it felt like magic service, lol). It s clear she loves her job and puts a lot of effort into making sure every guest has an awesome experience. You rock, Britney!

A little change in my 4th visit to this place. They are not fair. And every server has their own policy on all yoi can eat option. They will add things in the bill without even asking and doesnteven consider of listening to what we have to say on that part. Please make sure before ordering you make sure what you pay for....

every time we have visited this location the service has been horrible. this time the hostess didnt even ask us to follow her and just threw the menus on the table and walked away. the table was still wet and not even clean, we had to get paper towel from the washroom to clean it ourselves. then we continued to sit for at least 15 minutes without anyone coming to our table. due to past visits going so poorly (also because of terrible service) we decided to leave. not worth giving money to servers who have 0 customer service skills.

Poor experience all around today for lunch. Server was aloof and inattentive. Had to be prompted to take everyones order, as she missed someone at the table. Didnt bring out a beverage, but charged for it. Brought the wrong lunch order for one of the party. Served the condiment for another in a pre-used disposable condiment cup that had some disgusting remnants of something else left in it. Never once checked in on us to see how the meal was/if we needed anything. Forgot a second drink in the order. Another order did not come out as described in the menu. Had to be prompted to bring the kids desserts after the bill was paid. Restaurant was not busy, and the tables around us remained uncleaned from before we sat down until who knows after we left. Even our children, separately, reported on how disgusting and unkept the restrooms were. Wont be returning.

wow I am so disappointed. East side marios is one of my favourite restaurants. This location on a Monday at 8pm, I took my grandmother we both got pasta and were slightly informed there was no mozzarella! At an Italian restaurant thats crazy! My grandmothers pasta wasnt cooked well either. Ridiculous. Our waitress was no where to be seen the whole time so couldnt ask about anything. Got one loaf of bread wasnt asked if anything was good or anything. This place was pretty much empty and there were waiters doing nothing just standing around talking to eachother. Im very disappointed, Ive had problems here before and this is my sign not to come back.

Just went to east side Mario s and the service was absolutely terrible. Our food was cold and they gave me the wrong food and it was hard as well but at the end, the manager was very nice to us

I went with a group of 8+, gratuity of 18% is a must as told by the waitress but each family got charged between 22 and 25% , after paying, few mins later we were aware of it , we were not giving any payment receipt copy but the bill, please always ask for it, the waitress had to return the extra money she charged, very unpleasant experience knowing who else had being charged more without noticing it

My kids love eating here. We came for the fancy smoothie, pizza and pasta, and it was exactly what they were looking forward to. Plus, our server Jeff was excellent.

Honestly, it has its ups and downs. But today was by far the worst. I ordered a seafood linguine and my friend ordered a veal parmesan. My food was fine, however it tasted off compared to the last time I had it. My friend, on the other hand, got a totally different dish than what he had ordered, and he had to tell the waitress who brought back another dish within 5 minutes, which is crazy. Cause you would think it would take time to bring out the next dish. Maybe they stole someone elses I dont know but we definitely did not like the food. It has went downhill since the last time I came here with my high school friends like 5 years ago. Not recommended at all. And if you like children screaming all around you or climbing over the bench to peek over at you and screaming directly next to your ear, then this is your place. No wonder its always empty now.

I went to Eastside Marios for an early dinner with my dad and brother and my brother dropped his airpods inbetween the booth and the wall. Our waiter promptly got us help, the restaurant owner went above and beyond to get the airpods unstuck for us. Not only was the service exceptional but the food was great too! Went here for dinner on Mothers Day and was very disappointed. My alfredo was dry and pasty had to return for freshening(lmao). Everyone elses food at the table was cold. The sampler platter that my son had was sub-par at best. The lasagna was cold through the center. We were hungry so didnt bother to send it back. But then to top it all off we had to beg for bread with our meal. Finally as we were getting ready to pay and pack up leftovers we were told that we could not take the bread loaf that was left or the salad. We were told it was now company policy. Now as a former chef of 12 years I know that food that has left the kitchen cannot be served to anyone else. Makes no sense. Very disappointed in this restaurant. Found out from the server in Peterborough we had yesterday that this is not company policy at all. Will not be returning to this restaurant.

We had dinner there the other night and it was a great time. Our server Stephanie took such good care of us and made the whole experience amazing.

Had to wait to be seated at 530 restaurant was empty. Lack of staff reason for the wait. Service was slow and inattentive. We ordered the Thursday special Dinner for 2 for $50. Our wait staff did not know the details. We had to explain to them. Bread and salad were typical and taste was ok. Bada boomers kind of a let down. Fried pizza dough and a side of sauce. Dough was soggy and greasy. My husband had the chicken parm pasta was fine but chicken was this over cooked and chewy. I had the chicken tetrazzini chicken was not good some peices were crunchy and over cooked. Pasta was greasy. The mini desserts were also a letdown. Overly sweet and dry cake. Overall a reminder why we haven t been to Eastside Mario s in a while and we won t be returning anytime soon.

Very disappointed with our recent visit at this Winston Park East Side Mario s location. My friend and I were initially excited to go get ESM s for dinner after work because it has been a while since we ve last had it, however last night was overall one of the worst dining experiences we ve both had - food, service, and atmosphere-wise. The wait for someone to greet us/ask us how many for our table/find a table was at least 15 minutes+, with no staff coming up to the front to even check (there were 3 parties in total waiting including us, who also still had to tell the hostess how many ppl in their party). The hostess who came up afterwards looked annoyed and did a half-effort job to clean/wipe our booth table (which overall still looked dirty and sticky). The restaurant overall looks like it could be given a better clean. It was still hot/humid outside for the evening, and the AC seemed to not be working which was disappointing as well. Once we were finally seated at our table, it again took a while for our server to do the initial greeting and ask for starters/drinks. When she finally came and we asked questions about one of ESM s current promotions for their starters and what drinks they have available, the server did not seem to know any details and was unable to answer our questions. The classic calamari fritti starter that we had which we have had in a past ESM visit and thought we should get again, was this time not crispy, didn t have a lot of batter, soggy, undercooked, and did not seem to be what you expect typical calamari served at restaurants to be. My friend and I were literally confused at how underwhelming it was that we asked the waitress about it if it was supposed to be like this and she offered to take it back to the kitchen to refry it some more. The main pasta dishes we ordered (spaghetti and chicken Alfredo) were mediocre at best. I am grateful that the waitress we had was at least nice and took into consideration any issues we had with our food at the time. Unfortunately I am all too familiar with understaffing at my work and how it can affect client experience so I understand that aspect and how it may have came to play here. However overall, I feel like management and the team at this ESM needs to reflect on how they can better improve the dining experience for future customers as this location is truly deplorable. Really disappointed at the low quality of the food, service, and overall dining experience here.

I came to have dinner with my mom around 8pm tonight and it was one of the best experiences I ve had in a while. I feel like good service has been hard to find in recent years. However, we were served by Michelle tonight and she was just phenomenal!! Genuinely one of the best servers I d had in years. She was on top of every course and made sure we had everything we needed and kept us updated on when our food would be coming out. She also seemed happy and excited to be serving us. Thank you Michelle for making our experience so great!! We will be back and requesting to be served by her.

We had Kiersten as our server for dinner last night and she was very professional and kind during our dinner service. There was a large group that was having dinner while we were. She was very open with us about the situation with the large group and tried to get our food out to us right away. With the busy restaurant atmosphere Kiersten was able to make everything happen, while creating a great dinner service! Great job!

Dining room is very loud, but they have a nice patio at this location, and the food is always amazing. Great wait staff as well.
