I had the pleasure of visiting this amazing restaurant tonight while working as a wedding photographer, and I must say, the experience was nothing short of incredible! The food was absolutely delicious each dish was perfectly prepared, bursting with flavor, and truly memorable. The staff were all so kind and attentive, making sure that every guest was well taken care of. Their warm smiles and genuine hospitality added such a wonderful touch to the evening. A special mention goes to the amazing lady owner, who went above and beyond to make me feel welcome. She was incredibly thoughtful and kind, constantly checking in to see if I needed anything. Since I didn t have much time to sit and eat during the event, she generously packed an assortment of delightful desserts for me, which was such a sweet and thoughtful gesture. Her care and attention to detail didn t just make the evening smoother but also left a lasting impression. It s rare to find such a combination of exceptional food and outstanding service, but this restaurant truly excels in every way. If you re looking for a place that offers delicious food, incredible staff, and an owner who genuinely cares about her guests, this is the spot. I m already looking forward to my next visit! Love this place. It is now my first to go place in Oakville. Food is very tasty, service is amazing and they have a very special mimosas. Their croissants are heavenly, and who would think that hummus could taste that good!

I invited my friend here for lunch. The staff were busy but friendly. The portions were large, but I m giving a three-star review for two reasons. First, I bit into sand in the beef of the dish I ordered. Second, the tip starts at 18%, which feels rude.

Last night, we spent a couple of hours at Narenj, and it was really amazing! It was my first time there, and I can say my experience was A+. We started with Dar Dar and Brisket with Halloumi as appetizers, and wow, everything was so delicious. For dessert, we ordered tea and cake, and both tasted fantastic. But it s not only the food that makes this place special. The decoration is very unique and vintage. There is even an old piano in the corner, which adds a really nice vibe to the place it feels like you are in another time! For sure, I will come back again. I need to try the rest of the menu because everything looks so good. I think I might need many visits to finish it all!

Amazing food in combination with a great atmosphere, and our waiter, Parsa, gave us lovely recommendations for food and drinks. I would definitely go back!

Yesterday evening, my friend planted a seed of foodie interest in me. Today, I prioritized the task of uprooting this curiosity in my to-do list. I d thought it was just a bakery, but upon arrival, I discovered it was a Cafe serving meals all day. As my friend mentioned, their croissants are really delicious. Im planning to go back for more tomorrow.

Narenj just topped my fav brunch spot! Nothing disappointed with my experience. I was welcomed into a cosy yet visually appealing decor. Ordered the Tehran fog that was delicious. Had the pulled beef shanks hooks and fried eggplant was phenomenal!! The cafe part was a whole other aspect. Loved their bakery and tea. 10/10 for the whole experience !!

The place is an absolute gem and the service matched the great food! We came in for brunch not knowing much about Narenj but this place just blew us away! Narenj definitely offers a unique brunch experience that you dont see very often. If you are in the area, dont pass on this place and you will not be disappointed!

Two words: FOOD POISONING. Ordered Halloumi Shakshouka and the Zack Plate. From the moment we walked in, service was terrible. They try to interact with you as minimally as possible, are on their phones throughout, and only came to the table (Aside from delivering our drink/food while saying nothing) when they wanted to clear the table, hand us the bill, and move us out within 60 minutes of being seated. As for the food, tasted fine - nothing special, and within the hour resulted in food poisoning. The prices were absurd, however, $23 for one and $28 for the other. While the atmosphere looks beautiful in photos and in person, it was quite loud and cramped in reality. They even turned the music up substantially part way through to the point where I could not hear across the small table.The pump in the washroom soap was even broken off of the dispenser and featured very dim lighting. Everything about the experience was sub-par and not worth the money. Upon contacting the restaurant regarding the food poisoning, they immediately hung up without any sort of recognition of the issue nor any fixes/offers to help mitigate. Would not recommend it to anyone. We wanted to trust all the good reviews. However, with this restaurant, that is not the way to go.

Overpriced avg food at best

I went to have breakfast today with my mom and Parsa was incredibly kind, went above and beyond and offered perfect service along with the rest of the staff. We asked for extra bread and were given some to take home and also got some treats to try! We got the Home Sweet Home which was very delicious and not too sweet and the Makanek which had lots of sausage. Overall, had a wonderful experience and will definitely come back. Highly recommend!

I would say the place is pretty but the food is just ok, not very good but not the worst. A little bit salty and lack of other flavours. But the signature tea is really nice.

I keep going back for the best shakshuka with beef brisket! The halloumi in the dish is dreamy, and the meal is hearty and comes with a side of toasted bread. We tried the croissant french toast and were blown away by the richness and flavor, as well as the portion size. The staff there is always attentive and friendly and the atmosphere is cozy and relaxed.

Excellent service and food. The hostesses is full of spirit and welcoming. We sat at a large table in the middle and ordered the mankaj , shakshuka with brisket, Tehran fog tea (brilliant), and afsoon. All delicious, big portions and well prevented. Ill definitely be back. Great place to come with friends or family. Busy but hostess makes sure you get a table.

We visited for a peaceful coffee break on tuesday afternoon, but the loud music made it nearly impossible to have a conversation. The coffee was great, which is why Im giving three stars, but everything else felt overpriced for what it was

This place has a very cozy seating area, with a great variety of middle Eastern brunch dishes on the weekend.

Really disappointed in the service. The hostess/owner did not come across as friendly and we were seated in the restaurant next door, where we were only served once a few more tables got seated, didnt get our coffees until we asked after seeing everyone having received theres, and then same issue with the food order which they completely forgot about. While the pastries were delicious, alot more work us needed on the service.

Best brunch place in Oakville hands down! Food quality is exceptional and most importantly consistent. They have a great selection of desserts in the display and their coffee is great too. Atmosphere is super cute, service is great and they were so kind to our little kiddos too!

I visited a few days ago with my friends for the high tea and it was amazing, all the food courses and the desserts were delicious. The Persian tea was incredible. To top it off, we received extremely warm service from our waiter Parsa. Will definitely be returning and recommending to all my friends!

Came here based on all the raving reviews. It definitely has that fantasy hip vibe & place was packed. But despite the popularity I was personally quite disappointed. Service was kinda sloppy & impersonal. The main dishes we ordered were comprised of a giant portion of potatoes alongside a small portion of protein.

Been here one multiple occasions, the food and the service is amazing. Our waiter even remembered us from when we came a couple months ago which was nice. However, it was really disheartening/awkward to see that the owner or manager was reprimanding and disciplining our waiter right in front of all the customers. Makes me feel like their servers are not treated well and are micromanaged.

Narenj never disappoints! We had Lebnanys, Home Sweet Home, Maro s fave and Tokhmomorgh Khorma, and they were all delicious ! The croissants, especially in the Home Sweet Home dish, have a delightful taste thats definitely worth every calorie!

Beautiful ambiance and excellent food! Get here early to avoid waiting for a table (but the wait will still be worth it!) We eat here often and always make sure to get a box full of pastries to go after our meal. They re too beautiful/delicious to resist.

Came around 11 on a Saturday for 2 people and got a table right away. The service was efficient and personable, and they answered all our questions about the menu. We werent fans of the mint water served with the food, and they brought a pitcher without mint for us upon request. We ordered shakshoukas, which were really large dishes and very filling. I ordered the brisket one and was pleasantly surprised at the amount of brisket and halloumi that came with it- I was expecting the brisket to be a much smaller amount/sparse but it was definitely a highlight of the dish as it should be. We both took our food home as the portions were large so prepare for that. Definitely would return if Im looking for a good shakshouka!

The quality of the ingredients stands out everything is incredibly fresh and aromatic. If you havent been yet, its a must-visit. The staff are exceptionally friendly and attentive, always ready with recommendations for dishes and drinks. The hostess, Parsa, goes above and beyond to ensure you have a great experience. Hes attentive to every request, offers excellent suggestions, and is a joy to chat with. On one visit, he even surprised us with a complimentary crème brûlée pastry! You definitely should try this place.

Food and atmosphere were great however I took off 3 stars for service because it made us THAT uncomfortable. They re trying to usher you out as soon as they can. I went with 2 other friends and we got a table. We were looking at the menu when a waiter comes and asks us for our order to which we say we need some time. Not even 45 seconds later another waiter is asking us to order. This whole thing repeats another 3 times with a total of 4 waiters pressuring us to order. We aren t slow they literally just were pushing us that much. Nearing the end of our meal, I had taken a pause from eating and there s a waiter at our side saying Have you given up? Let me get you boxes like???? She brings us boxes and I guess we weren t up to her speed because she comes back and starts bagging our stuff for us. We had not even gotten up yet, we were still seated and finishing our drinks when she brought another chair to our table, prepping it for the next customers. We honestly felt so uncomfortable and pressured the whole time.

The service is worst at the restaurant, specially the waiters attitude towards the customer make us feel not to visit this restaurant even though the food is good.

The service at this restaurant is disappointing, we waited for 15 mins at the entrance, watched 2 groups of customers got properly seated before us. However when it s our turn, the waitress lead us to a separate space next to the kitchen, which is empty all the time, with strong greasy odour and even with the cook frying things next to us, without even explaining and asking if we are ok with it. We felt strongly disrespectful. People came here for the vibe and food, if we d like to be in a fast-food environment we d go there and pay the corresponding price. We have to request a seat back in the proper dining space. We lost our appetite after this.

My husband took me here because one of his client from work got some croissants from this place and kept talking about how yummy it was, and when I did try it was unbelievable! One of the best croissants Ive ever had. I havent had any of their food yet, but will for sure try sometime and rewrite this comment about food too.

The food was super oily! After the meal i felt bad. They tried to mix different taste to make sth new but I tried 3 of them and all werent my taste. I just recommend the confectionery part of the restaurant. The croissant was delicious. The tip starts with 18% which is high for a medium restaurant like that.

How to describe...its a bougie little space, the best music mixes...definitely a family environment and yet a place to brunch with the girls or your hunny. My sis and I really enjoyed our mains (kafta and chicken) and our drinks...rose lemonade / lemonade. The desserts were pretty and had a pleasant flavour. The canele I took home was delish! I want more! However, the babka were a little dry - I think next time Ill do the cubed croissants - they looked incredible. Our mains, though....Ill never get over how phenomenal the flavours were! The team that took care of us that day were incredible and sweet. Thank you!!!!

Food was overpriced, not very great. Waitress has terrible customer service. We waited a long time for food despite being one of only 2 tables present. Would not recommend.

Had a great time here, I ve heard about this place and was excited to try place. It s a pretty and cozy place. Feels comfortable and relaxing. Service needs a little bit of work but it s decent. Food is great, I love the Persian lover sandwich, it s delicious and little spicy and moist, The Halloumi Shakshouka was good but slightly dry, the sauce was delicious however, Tehran fog is great and my favourite drink was the lemonade frappe. One thing I d change about this place is the bathrooms, it needs a little love. I think I m staring to fall in love with this place, I would definitely return to this place.

Came here for brunch on a Friday afternoon. It was relatively busy, and service was on the slower side. Despite this, the server did her best, so overall still a good experience. We ordered the Halloumi Shakshouka and Paul Sandwich. Both dishes were tasty and filling. Also ordered an Iced Latte, the Dulce De Leche Frappe and the Tehran Fog. While the food was good, I would come back just for the desserts. The strawberry cardamom tart had a subtle but delicious combination of flavours. The Raspberry pistachio cube croissant, though small, was very satisfying. The filling was generous and the pastry was perfectly baked.

Beautiful brunch spot in Oakville. We ordered: the Makanek and Home Sweet Home. Excellent to share a sweet and savoury. I would love to try their Shakshuka next time but this combination we did was perfect. Alternative milks available. Latte was great. Side street parking payable with coins and/or Honk app.

I visited last Saturday and had such a great experience! Parsa was my server tall, dark curly-haired, and incredibly charming (definitely made my day!). On top of that, the food was amazing, and the desserts were so delicious. The whole vibe of the place was just perfect. If youre looking for authentic food and a great atmosphere, I highly recommend it!

I loved the ambience and we went around 9:45 so it wasn t as packed as it became later on. We ordered the oriental shakshuka and it was enough for two people to share. I also ordered an iced latte and the glass it came in was really pretty. All the staff were nice as well.

The kebabs are a standout, cooked to perfection and seasoned exquisitely. The saffron rice, fragrant and fluffy, compliments the savoury meats wonderfully. Vegetable options, like the eggplant stew, are equally flavourful and satisfying. Desserts are out of this world mango tart and pistachios mousse my favorite. Cafe latte and croissant filled with pistachios and dates my favorite combination. Narenj also boosts a commendable selection of teas and traditional drinks, enhancing the authentic dining experience. Prices are reasonable, offering good value for the quality of food and service. Narenj is a gem for those looking to explore Persian cuisine and atmosphere in a welcoming and refined setting. Visited the place because I have been hearing about it for a while. First of all I would like to say that its atmosphere is an authentic representation of what a Persian restaurant is. The owners of the place are super chill and nice. I was not to sure about what to order from the Menu, so our waiter, Parsa, helped us out. I ordered a Persian dinner as a dish, and Creme Brulee as a dessert, as per his recommendations. Parsa, was extremely charismatic and very friendly, I would love to have him as our waiter anytime I visit. We enjoyed the dinner, the portions were extremely generous, and the dessert was outstanding. Amazing recommendations! On top of everything the branch looked amazing, clean and had a very sophisticated beautiful atmosphere.

Everything was really good. Lovely outside patio. Would absolutely come back. Our table was a bit cramped for 6. First come first serve, but worth the wait if needed. Desserts - Pistachio and date dessert was amazing, mango meringue average but hugely overpriced at $12. Amazing selection of desserts and fantastic croissant s.

We went to this place today. We were a very large group of 20 people plus kids. We were loud, chaotic but the staff never got nervous, it was a chill vibe. Food came on time, tasty drinks were amazing. Recommend the haloumi shakshoka with pomegrante mimosa

We had a brunch here few days ago and the food taste was very disappointing. Based on the reviews, I had higher expectations. Atmosphere is nice inside, but the seats outside are improvised (mostly not the real chairs) and not very comfortable. But the biggest disappointment was serving drinks in (partially damaged) plastic cups! That ruins the experience + it is super unhealthy if they are washing them in the hot water, which I suppose they do. Service was good.

The brunch was absolutely delicious. I had the Zack, organic scrambled eggs with vegetables, salmon and a salad. The portions were generous. Sofia was a very gracious host. The dessert options were endless

I had the brisket shakshuka, and it was absolutely delicious! The dish was bursting with rich flavors and perfectly cooked brisket, making it a hearty and satisfying meal. I also enjoyed their tea, coffee, and quince jam Persian style it was a unique touch that added to the experience. They have a really excellent assortment of sweets that are worth trying. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, with a cozy vibe, and the service was attentive and friendly. Highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a unique and flavorful meal!

We had the high tea service at Narenj and it was amazing! Our waiter Parsa was so patient and kind with our dietary restrictions and the food/tea/desserts were absolutely incredible. Would recommend the high tea for a special occasion :) Vegetarian options: Me and my mom are both vegetarian and we were served delicious plates that were separate from my sister s meat dishes. Highly recommend! Dietary restrictions: My mother is gluten free and all of the dishes were altered/swapped out to accommodate her. When she was accidentally served a dish with pita they remade the dish for her so it was gluten free right away.

Went for brunch during the weekday. Very nice vibes minus the milk carton chairs A part of the vibe I guess. The chicken brunch item was delicious. The halloumi shakshuka was okay. Got an oat latte which was also okay. Would go back to try other items

Gairloch Gardens in Oakville feels like a dreamscape with its meticulously crafted environment. The food and desserts are incredibly thoughtful and exquisite, making it the best restaurant in Oakville. I would gladly travel from Taiwan again just to experience it.

Went in to try the coffee and pastries. Decor is cute but this place is way overpriced and overhyped. Croissants were good but 8 dollars for a croissant is way too much. Coffee was mediocre. Tables and chairs aren t comfortable at all and so close together. Worst part was the owner or manager was smoking a cigar outside at the entrance of the cafe with the door wide open so the smell of her smoke filled the cafe and I couldn t wait to leave. Not worth it.

The food is good and its a nice place to visit, but I had a sore throat and requested hot water. To my surprise, they charged me $4 for it. Typically, a coffee at SB or Mos Mos costs around $3 to $4, so charging the same price for hot water is ridiculous. Ive visited nearly all the restaurants in Oakville, and none have ever charged me for hot water. The waitress didnt mention there would be a charge; she simply asked if I wanted mint in it, and I agreed. Maybe they charged me for a leaf of mint? Who knows!

One of the best persian restaurant i have ever been to. Its modern persian style with mixture of color, taste and design. The vibe of the restaurant is great, feeling cozy and warm, full of green plant which makes it a lovely place to sit and enjoy. Everything was good about it

First time here and I m loving it so far. Coffee is good, their almond croissant is tasty and light like it should be. Staff is friendly and the decor is a of unique rustic taste. Wi-fi and plugs are available for those who want to get some work done. Highly recommend, well done and keep it like that

Food was OK. I didn t find it very tasty and probably wouldn t go back. However, I mostly wanted to rate to say how disappointing the service was. The staff were not friendly at all. While 1 seemed attentive yet curt at times I think a smile goes a long way and that goes for the rest of the staff. While we might have extended our stay a little bit, ( Friends that hadn t seen each other in quite a while ) I think it s important that once you see your customers finish their meal picking up their dirty dishes is not something you should wait for them to ask you to do. The atmosphere is superb. Coffee was great. Nice spacing between the rustic cute little tables and chairs. Maybe just consider some training on etiquette.

First of all I would like to tell you about the meaning of Narenj . Narenj is of Persian / Iranian origin and means Bitter Orange. So basically because of the Persian name I thought this place might be Persian restaurant and when I asked the server what type of restaurant is here when I sat , he said it is Persian. Unfortunately, I couldn t find any traditional Persian breakfast item in the menu. None of the servers and managers were Persian and they didn t know Farsi. All these doesn t matter till the time you are presenting a place and food as Persian and you giving the worst service , the non Persian food , bad quality coffee , rude and insincere attitude and service and calling all Persian. As an Iranian lady , it is so upsetting when you see they using and presenting your country and culture wrongly with this manner. Overall , the service was so bad , the food was ok, and you can see in our bill that they charging for milk and cream on the side of your coffee.

Went to Narenj but it was full, owner moved us to Maros at the side , which he runs too. We were served by Sainsha who was exceptional and so was the food. Very large portions so you have to share

The staff was incredibly nice, food was amazing (I loved the rose lemonade), and I really love the plant aesthetic of the restaurant. Would highly recommend! Would suggest ordering conservatively because the portions are quite big.

It s a cozy and cute café on Kerr Street that serves variety of desserts and croissants. The decoration and tables are very cute and gives you grandma s house feeling. Another fun fact about the café is the it s connected to Maro s Restaurant and you can directly come here to enjoy desserts after dining there. The desserts tasted mediocre and there weren t anything special. But you still can enjoy the vibe.

I absolutely loved this place. Went for lunch. It was delicious. If youre paying youre getting quality and quantity. This restaurant sets the bar really high when it comes to hospitality, food quality and quantity and ambiance. I will be returning again and again. Thousand stars
