Plank Restobar in Oakville

Made a reservation 2 months before for out of town family on the Saturday before Christmas. 2 hours before dinner they called and said there was a flood and had to cancel our reservation. We went by after we made dinner and the place was open and almost full. I guess they overbooked and didnt bother to check who made reservations first. Anyway best policy would be honesty with your customers. We wont be returning.

Cozy and beautiful retro restaurant with a good selection of fusion dishes. Ordered a salad, a couple of appetizers and two main courses; all delicious! Great atmosphere, reasonable prices and very friendly staff. Highly recommended.

My friends and I came in for lunch today, we had a reservation but it was very busy so it was not ready as soon as we got there. Which was the first upseting thing. The hostess with the pink hair seemed absolutely miserable and quite frankly seemed unwell and like she did not want to be there. It was very loud and chaotic in the restaurant which did take away from our experience. However the food was amazing and our service from Kim was fantastic. I would still come back but on a day that is less busy.

We ate at Planks at 12:30 on December 12. The food was great but the music was so loud we couldn t think or talk. We had a reservation but still were seated right beside the front door in the bar section. We asked if they could turn the music down a bit and were informed that they would ask but it wasn t likely to happen. It was our fault for eating there again as this happened to us in summer of 2023 also, however at that time we could go outside. Now we have learned. We will not go back as the music is uncomfortably loud and not fitting for a relaxing lunch with friends.

Plank has amazing food and a great vibe. However, if you re looking for a good night out with friends or a date spot, beware that they have an hour and half seating limit and kick you out. Worst practice ever!

Great place to relax and great price

A big thank you to Plank Restobar, who accommodated our group of eight including two young girls this past week. We had a great server in Lindsay and the food was all fantastic. They never made us feel rushed, the food came out as expected, the service was on point even providing suggestions when asked. Would definitely recommend.

Girls dinner for 2 last night. The service was really good .but the food was ok (7/10). We had the brussel sprouts, cauliflower, and pork dumplings. Somehow our bao buns never arrived - but that was ok because we were full enough from the other 3 shared appies, leaving room for dessert. We had the peach cobbler which I would give a 4/10. Peaches were hard and relatively thickly sliced and very little cobbler . Nojito mocktails were delish tho (8/10). And it was very LOUD in the restaurant. Definitely a very high energy vibe and business is doing great as we had to leave our table after 2 hours for the 8pm reservation.

I want to start off by saying the positive. The server was polite and helpful. I ordered a hot honey Margarita (2oz) cocktail. Which tasted like water with a little of tequila. For food I ordered a torched salmon app. If you ve had sushi anywhere else you ll be dissatisfied with this app. For my main ordered a Hawaiian pizza. This is why I gave the food section a 1 star. Every bite I took my mouth was covered with flour from the bottom of the pizza. Overall I would never go back here.

Super all around experience. Comfy decor, tasty dishes, and stiff drinks! I generally find restaurant service lacking these days (yet servers still expect 25% tips ha!) but the server and hostess were on the ball and even offered to comp one of our drinks when my mom didnt have an appetite for her birthday dessert. Wonderful afternoon with my daughter at this restaurant. First time here. Great food. Amazing service staff. Julianne looked after us. Polite and so helpful. The other servers came to our table to give recommendations and chat. What a phenomenal restaurant. Great environment and views of the lake too. Highly recommend. Plank has been a favourite for years. We have always been pleased with everything we have had here. Highly recommend the sliders, pizza and Big Mac balls. During the summer the patio is open and great little spot to enjoy a meal and/or drink. The inside is also a great space. The inside is on the smaller side but the vibe is great. Always buzzing with lots of people and great music. This is a must visit.

Pay attention to where you park, the dinner bill with my parents for pops 90th bday was tripled after retrieving my car that was towed away, plus the extra 2 hours while my elder parents waited. I moved my car from where initially parked to spot server recommended. Turns out I should have stayed put. Left a very foul taste on this place.

I had a terrible experience at Plank Restobar in Oakville, primarily due to the incompetent staff and particularly the hostess. I made a reservation three hours ahead of time for a lunch table for six people. To ensure everything was in order, I called the restaurant about an hour before we arrived to add two more guests. However, when we got there, they only accommodated us for six in a cramped corner that felt even smaller than I expected. When we spoke to the person in charge, they suggested we could squeeze in two more chairs, but honestly, it was already so tight that it would have been uncomfortable for everyone. The lack of communication among the staff is astonishing, and it seemed like they had no idea what they were doing. Overall, I was very disappointed with the service and would not recommend this place to anyone.

Went with the family for Birthday Dinner and what a disaster!!! First, this place has good seating patio arrangement. Inside is also good but a little tight in space. Anyways, we were lucky to have our table outside. We order bunch of appetizers and drinks. Normally, in any restaurants drink comes first then the food. Here, it is the other way arround. A couple of our appetizers (House Sliders recommended) came first and 5 minutes after our first drink order came, and story starts . While serving drinks to guests at the next table first, the server turned to our side to serve us a drink. AND . She lost control and dropped an entire tray of drinks on me . My short and trouser all wet !!! They asked us to change the table. The server on 2nd table acted weirdly why we changed the table!!! Anyways, same story here again. We finished all our 5 appetizers and no drinks yet. Finally, I had to ask for our drinks order. Came at the last!!! Then the main course. Pizza was okay. Highly rated Steak with Fries was okay. Lots of fries and 4-5 small piece of steak. Not impressed. Now the sad part . We got our bill. Funny enough, they charged us for all the drinks which server poured on me on first table. Thankfully, my wife caught it. So, then I had to finally raise my voice that instead of free drinks how can you charge double for the drinks? Server finally came with new bill BUT no apologies. The manager came to reverse the previous CC card payment, but she also had no courtesy to apologies for the incident happened. ANYWAYS, the food is okay, not that highly rated. Service was pathetic (not because of the incident but who serves drinks after appetizers). Management rated ZERO. Never going back again for sure !!! BTW, I gave them ZERO tip for my service .

Wow! What a gem! Was on business travel with a colleague and found this place right on the lake. It was a beautiful day to have a beer or two and enjoy some really nice food, and the menu did not disappoint. Plenty to select from and really unique food offerings that tantalize the taste buds. I loved this restaurant! We dined tapas style and just shared everything. The quality, portion size, and flavour profile of everything we ordered was great! We also had great service. The atmosphere is a bit loud for my taste but we were still able to have a conversation. Great decor and general feel. Would love to come back.

Beautiful restaurant on the lake. Elevated tapas style dishes with a welcoming environment. We enjoyed the Reuben spring rolls and fried chicken sandwich. I wasnt blown away by the food, but its definitely worth a visit and has some creative plates. Great place to go with a group.

We visited Canada as a family vacation and came here on 7.25.2024 The best thing was the waiter who worked our table was very kind. He made us feel comfortable. They were very nice to us even though we dont speak English. We ordered pizza and sliders and they were all delicious. I personally liked the pizza The Big Birds! The beer recommended by the waitress was also good! The location was great too, as there is a lake in front of the restaurant so we could take a walk while we waited. Thank you so much.

If you are hungry the menu is mostly snacks... lots of asian BBQ sauce and cheap on the protein portions. Get some greek if you looking for a full meal. The portions are small unless you are drinking calories.... if you need a proper meal with protein skip the Plank captain.

The service was great the view was beautiful but the food was very disappointing.

Had a fantastic first time visit! The menu is very unique and great for sharing. Our server Maddy was amazing! Our dumb sons went missing due to no fault of her own, and she dropped what she was doing and made sure we got them. I m glad she did because they were outstanding, all the food we ordered was incredible and we will definitely return if not for the Pickle pizza, for the amazing service!

A woman with a stroller and a half year old baby was refused to slightly move an umbrella on their patio (not making it any more in the way than it already was) to create some shade over a table. Their patio only shades the pathways for waiters it seems but customers have to sit in the sun. Inside loud music blaring so also not child friendly and a negative response to a suggestion to make it quieter. Avoiding.

Amazing food and service!! Our server was so sweet and friendly she gave us her top picks and we tried them all. The chefs should be proud of themselves everything was made perfectly. House sliders are a must try!! I d definitely recommend for a dimly lit date night or a nice cozy hang out.

Amazing place to have dinner and a drink

First time here & it was a nice little vibe after coming from Burlington beach. Buy one glass of wine get another for free was a nice highlight along with my tuna spoons, which I recommend or the sushi bowl which is what my friend got & loved. The prices were perfect & if I am in town, I would go back & I already recommend to a friend.

i never make these type of reviews but went here for a nice dinner with my mom on a night away, tried to order alcoholic drinks, the waitress told me she couldn t serve me as a 19 year old who is legally allowed to drink in Canada, as this restaurant has a rule that they can t serve you alcohol until your 21 years old. although we thought this was a werid rule we were nice back to the waitress and didn t make a fuss about it. But after she denied me she proceeded to be so rude to us and ignore us, didn t come over to our table once to ask us how our meal was, if we needed anything else, and when she did come over she spoke to us so rudely like we didn t matter or weren t a valued customer. this young girl should have never acted towards us this way. Have never in my life seen more disgusting behaviour and service from someone. But i do have to say it was the best steak i have ever had in my life so it was sad to have been treated this way by our waitress.

Could have been bad luck, but unfortunately both me and my wife got sick from eating dinner here. We were at a table in the back corner and there were fruit flies all over the place, landing on our food and trying to get in our drinks. The server happily moved us after we asked, though. The food tasted ok, but it seemed quite salty. Wouldnt reccommend the espresso martini, tasted like old coffee and baileys. The corned beef egg rolls were great though! Overall bad experience but could have been a fluke as I had only heard good things beforehand.

Came in with a reservation on Canada Day. The food here was good. We had the duck poutine, hot honey pizza, and Plank the Sailor Man (pizza). The duck poutine was my favourite, the pizzas were good. However, I had higher expectations given all of the hype I ve heard. We ordered poke spoons and big macka (?) balls for apps ($10 with Appy Hour) and they were both just fine. Poke spoons were underwhelming. Our pizzas took a while to arrive and were not served at the same time as the poutine. Service was friendly, the restaurant was well-decorated but the music could be turned down.

I was disappointed in the food. The white bean hummus was heavy on the cumin, and the chicken tikka was too charred. Also for the price, I expected chicken breast, not thigh. The only dish we enjoyed was the breaded cauliflower, which had large pieces of cauliflower with a good amount of breading, but not so much that it overpowered the cauliflower. At the end of the meal we could not find our waitress, and even after asking another server to ask her for the bill, she didn t come back to the table.

We had the patties, Bao buns, and a Margherita pizza. They were all tasty, and so was my cocktail. Service was good, and they were kind enough to ensure I was parking in the correct places and saved me a ticket/towing (it was my first time parking in this area). Low quality became golden standard due to lack of better options. The food wasn t good at all. The Urfa Kebab is not an Urfa kebab at all, they didn t even bother to check a photo of the real thing online. Service was not good, each food for each person (we were three) came with 10 minutes intervals. So normally food is served together, otherwise one eats the others idle? Atmosphere was not good either, the music system is so bad, only creates noise at outside patio. Bronte has very low restaurant quality except El Spero a family owned real restaurant and Firehall, which is the highest quality restaurant of Catch group, which is 3/10, good for quick meal with friends, nothing else. And all these locations are expensive comparing to price/quality or experience index. It s better to eat cheap somewhere like McDonald s, and have a drink somewhere else, probably downtown Oakville.

I had the best shrimp dish there. I forgot the name, but added the picture. Also, my boyfriend and I got the bao buns, and he got a honey boo boo pizza. We ordered drinks too. Everything tasted great, service was polite and the vibe inside was nice too. Would go again!

Our server assured us the pizza would come much later We got all our food at once because the kitchen was slammed and had to push all the food at once in the grand scheme of things this is a first world problem - but at 17-20$ an app I would think the guest would come before whatever is happening in the kitchen ?

That place used to have great food and excellent service, but not anymore. It was a very disappointing experience, last time I visited. The salad was missing the main ingredient (meat), desert took forever and serving the drink in a can without a glass seems to be normal there.

Unique food and extremely quick service

the ambiance here was everything .. i love a good restaurant with low lights . it was also my first time trying Korean fried chicken and it was amazing .. the bao buns were also so soft and squishy .the staff was very attentive and kind as well , we had different staff members checking on us throughout the entire night . all together it was a lovely experience .. will definitely be visiting back whenever im in oakville .

Mixed feelings for sure. Definitely great tasting food and a good experience but there was definitely some CONS for sure. We booked a party of 14 a couple weeks before and they definitely were not ready for us. No kid menu, nothing to even select for them since there is no add ons like potatoes or sausage. They did figure out a way to get a side of bacon for our son but it took 15 minutes to figure it out. The biggest complaint was that you couldnt change anything on the order AT ALL. Even saying no to something. Anyways nice place but not for younger families.

Delicious food and great music and atmosphere. However shared a number of cocktails and was surprised thay they were all lacking flavour and very watered down. Not a strong drink lover but these were the most disappointing we have had in a long time. Good food but next time would stick to beer or wine.

This is a fantastic find for us. The small servings of artisan food are perfect for sharing with a friend. We had the Ahi Tuna Poke and Gyro Tacos, and we could have stopped there, but we had to yry the Brie as well ;) They were all amazing, and everything else on the menu looked fantastic too. The service was very good - our server (Kenzie) was checking on us with a brilliant smile, and always a suggestion/question, without becoming intrusive. All in all, a perfect experience for a sunny late afternoon. We will definitely return! LE: we did return 3 more times, and we still adore the place. Were looking forward to the spring/summer menu (theyre still running the fall/winter one) We have shared the Take a Boa, Jimmy Kofta, It s Worth The Fall, and Blow Torch Salmon. All fantastic.

We went on a a Sunday and half the table got brunch which included the waffle and the steak. For these items, the portion of main dish was small, i havent seen such a small waffle before. The food tasted good though. Pizza looked good.

So glad I found about this place, we had a fantastic time at Plank yesterday. The restaurant is right by the lake, and the view was beautiful. The place felt cozy and welcoming. The staff was super friendly and made sure we had everything we needed. The food was amazing, especially the cauliflower fritters they were crispy and so tasty. Everything was perfect, and I highly recommend Plank for a great meal by the lake.

Tried this restobar on St. Pattys day, and it was so fun. The vibe was so great! The kitchen and chef are just behind the bar, and its exciting to see the chef while cooking. Enjoyed my time at this cozy restaurant!

I spent about 15 minutes looking for the best restaurants in the area and this one popped up on multiple platforms. I went in with high expectations based on the things I had read. Arancini - I have had great servings of this around the world but these wont make that list. The steak and frites had more promise. Steak was cooked perfectly but they must have prepared it before the fries were ready because the garlic butter had no chance of melting at all. Lumps of butter in mouthfuls of tepid meat. Frites over seasoned. My tongue was raw at the end of the meal and I ate less than 1/3 of them. Room was ok. Service was acceptable. $67 for a glass of wine, arancini and steak and frites. Beautiful location.

Noisy, very noisy, with no acoustic considerations whatsoever. The food is good but the atmosphere makes conversation very difficult, except for the people yelling to be heard at other tables. We have been a few times to meet friends who like the food, but after our last meal, there are 7 of us that prefer to go elsewhere. Kid-friendliness: They are noisy

Food was okay - have lots of fusion options and funny pun names for their dishes. I got the fook yu bowl, which was a rice and salmon poke bowl. The amount of salmon I got wasnt a lot and didnt feel worth it for the price. The drinks were also very expensive and not that great. I got an espresso martini for $13 and it was just okay. The server was really nice and the atmosphere was lively. The music was a bit too loud for casual conversation but would be a nice date place. They had a steak and frites that was very good but the server or cook did not pass on our preferences (extra crispy frites, garlic mayo). When we asked again later, we were charged $2 extra for some garlic powder. My other complaint would be that we got seated at a table beside a side exit. The door was literally beside the seat, so close that when other patrons went out for a smoke and came back in, two separate times, someone almost collided into me. Its also too close to the restrooms and unsavoury smells sometimes reached our table. Overall, was an okay restaurant but I wouldnt go back.

A lively atmosphere with a nice variety on the menu. Food was cooked perfectly as requested. I could understand feeling a crowded and/or noisy but if your expecting that on a weekend it shouldnt be an issue.

We had an amazing lunch at Plank with friends we hadnt seen for years. There was a lot to catch-up on and we well overstayed our time at the table, and the restaurant had every right to ask us to move on. To their credit, they never did. Thank you for that, your amazing service, and a delicious menu. A perfect spot that we look forward to returning to.

The service was great! Definitely try to book a reservation because they are busy. The host and I believe the manager were transparent right from the door but were still able to accommodate. We were able to get two spots at the bar (which wed prefer anyways). The bartenders were very attentive, friendly and fast. They have an open concept kitchen attached to the bar which was a great touch . The menu had a little bit of everything. Try the dry ribs, great balance. Definitely going back to try more items on the menu

I loved plank my girls and I go when we can and our favourite is the steak and frites. Was disappointed this time they changed it. Added a werid salad that none of us ate and the meat just keeps getting smaller and smaller. But our service was good so wasnt a total let down.

Ordered take out. Cost $$70 to pick up 3 apps. Calamari was maybe 6-7 strips, and they were spongy. Brussel sprout were drenched in sugar not a light drizzle drenched. Needless to say I had to cook dinner, after having spent $70. I have eaten at the restaurant in person, and the food was much better, but I m extremely disappointed in my order today.

Went to try this restro bar on a Friday afternoon. It starts getting busy around lunch, so a reservation is recommended. Food was great! I tried the Wong Tom Soup. I recommend you make reservations as the weekend fills up fast ... We decided to get in early and Claudia was are server, and I would definitely ask for her again... We arrived early around 4:45pm and took full advantage of the Happy Hour specials, reduced price apps and 7$ pints ... 7$pints !! .. Entrees were served very quickly and did not disappoint!! next time we will check out the Sunday Brunch with live bands ..

Plank is a unique little gem in Burlington. We had a number of different dishes as this is a tapas style restaurant (they bring food out as it is made, smaller plates, not all together). We had the duck poutine, Mac and cheese, and a bao chicken sandwich. Not pictured was a deep fried risotto ball. All the dishes were fantastic, duck poutine was a highlight as was the bao chicken sandwich. Has a bit of a bite to it. The risotto ball was not fantastic but an experience to eat. Overall the restaurant s ambience was good, had a lodge type vibe to it. It is an open kitchen so it did get a bit smoky at some points. I would go here again.

highly recommend the house sliders A-MAZ-ING! I drive 20 minuets there and 20 back just for those delicious little buns of awesomeness. THE BACON JAM!! puts hearts in my eyes. The lady chef there is THE BEST! wish I knew her name to give the praise because she totally deserves it. She keeps her cool, looks friendly, and makes a mean meal every time. they use to have duck wings which were the bomb dot com too - wicked location, great food, friendly staff. 10/10 you gotta eat here! :] Edit: Hannah, the general manager, not only assisted me with a minor issue during my recent visit but also went above and beyond exceeding my expectations. This restaurants commitment to excellence and strong corporate culture truly enhance the overall experience. Thanks Hannah and the team!

Visited Plank for the first time recently upon a recommendation from a friend. The food was great, everything was very flavorful. Was excited to learn when our bill came it was happy hour and everything we ordered was on the happy hour menu. So that was definitely the cherry on top. Will go back for sure!

Great service, good food. Awesome that servers/hostess that ask where you parked so you dont get towed. Only gripes, its too dark in the resto, could turn up the lights a bit. Maybe give an option of baking the prosciutto on the pizza. I would have loved that.

Perfect for casual gathering

Service was amazing. Our server was quick, attentive and brought of samples of all our drink considerations before getting a full glass. Food was delectable, sold out of a couple items before we could try. The vibe and atmosphere was lovely having a very welcoming design inspired by traditional American bars. Must try for anyone considering or in the area, heavily impressed overall, these guys could stand up against many bigger name spots and probably come out on top in every category

Really tasty food and good atmosphere. The only downside was that after a certain time the music got too loud to talk to each other, but that wouldn t stop me from going back! Photo is what remained of the Big Bird pizza (so good!) and a corn and pulled pork nacho (also really good) that doesn t seem to be in the menu right now

Manager refused to honour gift card that they applied expiry date to even though they cannot do this as per the Consumer Protection Act (enacted Nov1st, 2008). Manager was rude and dismissive, insisted we come back lol no shot

I have been a patron since it opened. Tonight 5 people showed up instead of 4. I asked the hostess if we could take one of the small (2) tables and place it with the four. She replied that they were all reserved so we could not. so one of our party had to leave. Ok. Understood. We stayed there another there another hour eating and drinking non stop yet no one showed up at the tables that were apparently reserved. I have had problems with this hostess before, its not the first time; I will not go to Plank again if she is the hostess at the time. As far as the food and service are concerned they were quite good, as usual .. My poor rating is for the lack of respect for a long time customer and the lying.

Came for happy hour and food did not disappoint. We got 3 appetizers and 2 mocktails. Service was phenomenal and servers were all attentive. Will definitely be back!

Ive been here twice and this was my most recent visit after 3 years. Everyone is so kind and accommodating and they went as far as making every drink we asked for whether it was on the menu or not! The espresso martini is 1000/10 and 100% worth trying if you like a creamier espresso martini! The food is amazing - the sliders are 10/10, worth trying. They are delicious and so juicy! The service is astounding and the atmosphere is great. Even nicer in the summer as you can sit on the patio and enjoy a view of the water :)

It was super noisy with a private event happening in the bar area. Couldnt have a proper conversation, plus we were constantly jostled by staff moving food orders in the tight space behind us. Might work for some who like a loud, party atmosphere but it wasnt for us. Food was so-so, short ribs were extremely thin and the salmon sashimi was just ok (mostly rice). Sliders were good.

I came here for the first time on a date this evening. Ambience was nice - was pretty packed for a 6 pm reservation. Lighting was dimmed so it was nice for intimate conversation. Food was pretty standard fare - nothing to blow you away but nothing bad. My company and I ordered the Chicken Wings and the DItaliano Pizza. Only criticism about the pizza - the sauce was incredibly bland and flavourless; definitely needed more garlic and salt. The toppings, otherwise, were great, and the dough itself had a nice wood-fired crust on it. It had a good chew. The manager came by and said that since it was our first time, he comped the Pizza from our bill, which was incredibly generous. Wait staff was friendly, with the exception of one thing: Our server (a very friendly young man) kept coming by and telling us, in a very kind and polite way, that we only had a 2 hour serving period in the restaurant. Thats fine - I understand the concept of turn-over. He just kept doing it a bit too much and it felt incredibly off-putting and my company and I felt really rushed. The irony is when we left at 7:30 - half of the restaurant had cleared out and there wasnt anyone beating down the door for a table. Overall - 4/5. Pretty decent for these standards; would definitely recommend to anyone in the Oakville Area for something to eat. Try the pizza; hope they season the sauce.

Exellent service good atmosphere but you forgot how to make pizza, even the simple margherita used to be exellent now the sauce and the dough is a bad copy; too bad. My wife was happy and satisfied so there is hope for me too!

It s our go-to spot. Can t go wrong with these: House Sliders, The Dum Sum, Take a Bao, The Big Macka, Jimmy Kofta, New Honey Boo-Boo Pizza. For dessert, the Pumpkin Spice Creme Brûlée surprised me! Food

We had a 1 yr anniversary supper at Plank. Mary took very good care of us. We ordered Steak frites and brie-sy Chick sandwich. We ordered baby its cold outside hot toddy and brown sugar old fashion. And two delicious bottles of Sauvignon Blanc, SHEiLD, Nelson, New Zealand. The step into the restaurant isn t as accessible as we would like but we managed with a wheelchair. The sunset was pretty behind us. The food was amazing. . The drinks were on point. We had sticky toffee pudding for dessert. So yummy.

Second time here, and it was good. Steak frites are delicious, but thats literally all you get on the plate. Decent wine selection. Great service. Note that if its busy, it can be very loud, especially if youre seated next to a group.

Has an old school kitschy atmosphere, surrounded by wood from floor to ceiling. The menu is tight and the dishes have range and are well executed. Great spot lunch or dinner.

My favourite restaurant ~ although its usually pretty packed (understandably) so definitely make a reservation before going. The menu is really diverse & the food is incredible!!

Overall good experience and nice ambiance. The one issue I had was with the server as she kept on stepping on my foot totally three times in the evening. I will not be returning after very intense, pushy service. By the time I got my main dish I was told that we had 1/2 hour before we needed to leave our table. Beyond ridiculous and rude!

The food was great. Lighting was a little low for people over 50. Would not recommend for an event night out. We were limited to 90 minutes for 4 people. However table beside us didn t seem to have same limit. Did they know someone? The sea bass was way too salty.

I had a candle lit date night with my wife there. The service crew was amazing and super friendly. The vibe is really cool and relaxing. The calamari portion we ordered was a little small. Otherwise I would highly recommend it. Will go again for a romantic late night date in the future.
