Ordered 3 times in last month, lady who takes order does not understand and has to repeat multiple times, quality and taste of food has been consistently bad where I ended up throwing and and they are very expensive in terms of what they offer

Disappointing First Visit with Family I recently visited this restaurant with my family for the first time, and unfortunately, it was a thoroughly disappointing experience. While I was expecting a pleasant meal, the reality was far from it. The most glaring issue was the cleanliness, or rather, the lack thereof. The restaurant was filthy from top to bottom. The tables, seats, and floors all appeared as if they hadnt been cleaned in a long time. The soy sauce and other condiments on the table were so dirty that we couldnt bring ourselves to use them. Even worse, the sides of the tables were coated in old, crusty food residue, which was extremely off-putting. The presence of flies buzzing around only added to the unsanitary conditions. Despite visiting on a weekend, when one would expect the place to be busy, the restaurant was eerily empty, with only my family present. Even with no other customers, the service was incredibly slow. This made the whole experience even more frustrating. As for the food, it was mediocre at best. The quality was far below what I ve come to expect from Hakka cuisine. There are many other Hakka Chinese restaurants in the area that offer far superior food, and I would strongly recommend exploring those options instead. Overall, this restaurant needs serious attention to both its cleanliness and food quality. Until those issues are addressed, I cannot recommend dining here.

Chicken tastes like fish?? They cooked it in the same oil probably and it s so strong. Very difficult to eat. The front staff is very confused as well. We go to the Milton location all the time this is the first time we ve had such a horrible experience all together at a restaurant

Best Hakka Indo cuisine in Oakville. Great variety of noodles mixed with crunchy veg. The rice and noodle portions are excellent. I love the fried shrimp wontons and they re a really fair price for the amount you get! Getting spicy Hakka noodle and chicken with wontons is a perfect dinner. Food

I have been a frequent take out customer of this restaurant and really like it. Food, quality and quantity everything is just great. Most of the restaurants have increased the prices and reduced quantity of food in take out containers but this restaurant gives enough quantity of food. Service is also good.

I have two manchurian chicken with fried rice and they gave us plain rice but they charged for fried rice and also they gave us complimentary spring rolls but they were cold from inside not cooked properly

Ordered takeout from here tonight and it was absolutely disgusting. The food was mushy and we found a hair in our dish. Absolutely disgusting I tried to call the restaurant to get some sort of compensation but they did not answer

The kitchen missed my side of veggie rolls on one order for which I called back same day. The guy on the line said not to worry and to mention the incident when ordering the next time so I can claim them. I called to place an order and mentioned my missing veggie rolls, but lady on the line refused to accept my experience, citing no notes on my profile and then proceeded to say that she would be happy to pay for my veggie rolls but they would not be on the house. Pathetic service.

We are a regular customer at their Milton location. This location is much more convenient for us. Their kitchen improved a lot in the last couple of months and produced the same quality food as their Milton location does.

The hot and sour soup was great, however the dough inside the fish pakoras was raw and the dishes we ordered all lacked flavour. The server was very nice but the food at the Milton location is far better.

Had dinner and it was delicious, TomYum soup, Hakka Chicken Chowmein, Hakka Chicken fried rice, chicken pakoras, and we also had the Red chicken curry dish. These items are large portions and definitely made to share.

Best Manchurian chicken in oakville

Delicious food and amazing service! I ordered take out but I should have dined in. The unassuming exterior doesn t tell the semi fine dining interiors! The lady at the reception was also the server. She offered free spring rolls because I showed interest in trying, I thanked her but thought customer service won t make me come back if the food ain t good. It was great! Super fresh and flavorful and good quantity! Definitely going back to try more things! Vegetarian options: Plenty of veg options paneer n tofu as proteins!

First time we tried the Royal Garden and the food is very mediocre....we usually go to Premium Hakka in Milton and in comparison to their food this wouldnt be even 1 star. Not sure who is giving them 5 stars. We ordered chili chicken which wasnt very appetizing and room temperature at best, had to send it back so they can get warmed up, veg hot and sour soup had curry smell which was weird, Thai chili shrimps were a bit hard and chewy and noodles didnt seem as fresh. The dry chillies we could feel in our mouth, really worst experience. Not coming back again thats for sure. Thanks

I was in the area, saw a sign for lunch specials so decided to drop by and am SO glad I did!! I got mixed veggies with garlic sauce and it was absolutely delicious!! Furthermore, the portion size was great, you totally get your bang for your buck!! It also came with a yummy soup (I got corn) and two spring rolls. This was my first visit but it definitely will not be my last, I have been craving it since. Great food, clean place and friendly vibe.

FINALLY! Great Hakka food in Oakville! I have waited years for this! No stranger to a drive for good Hakka (Mississauga, Scarborough...) - imagine my joy to see this new restaurant in the Metro Grocery plaza (SW corner of Dorval and N. Service). The chicken pakora serving was HUGE, flavourful and delish! I feel when you try a Hakka place, you MUST start with the Chili Chicken with Gravy. This did not disappoint. Savory. Spicy. An absolute treat. And the service was top notch. Happy, happy, happy!

Customer service is soo good, the girl helping was smily energetic, so positive and helpful. They gave us free spring rolls which so nice of them. The food is really good, we recommend their Thai chili fish we went back twice just for the fish. These rest of the food is okay nothing crazy, but the fish slaps. I definitely recommend checking them out.

The food was so good! Tasted perfect and not greasy and generous portions. We ordered the wanton soup, thai mango salad, chicken chopsuey sweet and sour, thai green curry. And it was all amazing. Quality of food is impressive! The girl at the counter was very courteous and cheerful. We plan to visit again soon!

All 17 of my choices were perfectly cooked, seasoned, coloured, served so swell and sweetly. I miss my childhood home less because I live in the same area as this MashAllah-ness bistro. For Oakville location - If I could give this place 0 stars I would. First I found a hair in my Thai curry. Sent it back. Then I found hair in my soup. Yuck. Rest of the family didn t want to eat after that.. They took off price for 1 meal and made us pay for everything else. Least you can do after serving customers hair, is atleast not charge for it. They wear caps in the kitchen, not hair nets. I thought that was a requirement for all kinds of kitchens. Definitely not coming back ever.

Very happy to have a yummilicious Hakka place in our Oakville,I used to travel all the way to Mississauga to have a good Hakka food which is our family fav cuisine We ordered veggie fried and egg Hakka noodles along with garlic chicken and they were sooo good We had chicken lollipops with soup which is our kids favorite and they thoroughly enjoyed it This would be our go to place for Hakka food hereafter Definitely recommend it

Been going to the miltob location for as long as I can remember food is amazing one of the best hakka Chinese restaurants out there + its halal and the staff is always kind and welcoming I highly recommend coming here with the family

The portion is enormous. The Manchurian chicken is not as flavorful as those I ve had before but close enough that I will come back. Maybe I will try the Hakka style chili chicken next time. The service was excellent.

A disappointing experience after having a great one at lunch a couple of months ago....it was extremely cold in the restaurant (maybe 16C) and we asked for the temperature to be turned up or we wouldnt be able to stay, it was that cold...it was only turned up minimally so the majority of us had to keep our winter coats on. The chair seats were cold to the touch and when we left, our purses, phones, etc. were all very cold to hold, thats how cold it was! The lighting is too bright taking away from the ambience we had hoped for with my hubbys birthday dinner. They had NO BEEF AT ALL for any of the dishes, and then NO SHRIMP (except for what was already in the fried rice), which made it challenging for some who dont care for seafood or fish, meaning we had to stick with chicken for everything. The General Tao Chicken, the Basil Mango Vegetables and the Cantonese Chowmein were all literally swimming in sauce, likely 3-4 times as much as needed making it quite unpleasant to eat with it all so dripping in sauce. It would also be great if there was a liquor license, even just beer and wine? as this was for a birthday. Im not sure what to do with all of this, whether to call the manager, go back or not and give the place another chance ......hmmmm!
