First time here, food was good.

Food was great, but our server Caleigh made my experience amazing. She accommodated all of our requests and was super friendly! I will be back to be served by her!

Maddie was a great server! Very bubbly and attentive! Food was excellent as well!

We absolutely love State & Main. The spicy honey margarita is to die for and the food us always grear. Maddy made our last visit particularly great. Speedy service with a smile!!!

Such a nice spot! I visited for the first time and tried the Teriyaki Rice Bowl which was delicious and a great portion size. Our server was lovely and I like how clean the restaurant was.

Though the service was good, the food was moderate. Fish n chips was very oily and more batter than fish. Butter chicken tastes good, chicken fingers were great.

Incredible service from Luca M! Food was great, though the Baja fish tacos seemed like poor value with only two. They were also out of the cinnamon bun bread pudding, which was a shame. Otherwise fantastic.

Adam was an exceptional bartender! He was extremely knowledgeable and each item was beyond delicious. He was personable, easy to converse with, and made the atmosphere amazing! Would highly recommend his service!

Wow Adam at this establishment is the speed demon. He shakes his shakers like nobody else. Guests like myself smile when Adam is behind the bar!

Adam was an incredible bartender who served us with speed and precision. His manly physique was greatly enhanced due to the perfect fitment of the state and main company attire. He exudes confidence when conversing with customers and represents the company greatly. Would see him move the shaker cups like marachas again. Reminds me of a mariachi band playing at midnight. His soft touch against the leather at the bar reminds me of Michelangelo s painting of the creation of man.

We re were a group of 9 people. The service was good. Friendly with good work manners. The environment was comfortable, clean and family/groups friendly. The food is another experience great food. Everyone in the group enjoyed their order. They even mentioned that they will be recommending it to others. So all in all our experience was great!

I had a lovely dinner last Friday and I absolutely cannot get over the jaw droopingly professional, welcoming, efficient and warm energy that my serve Luca M gave our table. The food was mid tbh, but I will be returning just because of the wonderful service. Someone promote them!

Really nice drink menu. But otherwise a large, cavernous space that amplifies the noise. A menu that doesnt know what it wants to be. Mexican fish tacos? Southeast Asian Bowl? Steaks? It was not a busy night, but the kitchen couldnt produce; food took way too long, came out at different temperatures. Youre better off across the street.

I come here sometimes for a quick bite and it is a great atmosphere. Maddie is super friendly and her service is stellar. The restaurant has great steaks and their bang bang shrimp is all I come for lol. 10/10 spot.

I have had many chicken tenders but nothing beats the sweet and spicy chicken tenders at this location. Sophie is an absolute gem, she took one look at me and knew ranch was my destiny, ditching the plum sauce without hesitation. I m one bite away from writing poetry about this place.

Thursday date night with my husband and had a wonderful time - I always come here for the fish tacos and cherry bourbons. Our waiter was Nate and he was fantastic, very kind and attentive. When the kitchen took a little longer in the food than usual, they acknowledged our wait without us even asking. Always one of my go to spots!

It was such a wonderful experience dining here! The steak was perfect and the wine pairing, along with the desert, recommended by waiter Nate, was truly top notch. Would definitely recommend and will certainly come back soon!

I recently went to State and Main with my mom who is severely allergic to gluten and we had an incredible experience. Our waiter Madeline made sure to relay my moms allergy to the chefs and my mom didnt get sick afterwards (Which is quite common with eating out as many restaurants accidently cross-contaminate food). The food was also delicious and they had a special menu for my mom to choose from which made her feel very included. Im deaf so it was hard to hear but thats par for the course in restaurants. However, the best part of our night was having our wonderful waiter Madeline, who offered us the best service and hospitality.

So went here midafternoon on a Friday. My daughter s meal was good. Fish tacos and burritos. Mine not so good. I had the Beef dip. The beef was dry and it was taken off the worst part of the roast. They advertise triple A and it was definitely not up to the standard. Very overcooked and dry. We sat on the patio and it was so noisy. The grass outside the restaurant was being cut and trimmed. Understand this has to be done. But really on a Friday afternoon?? How about in the morning when there are no customers. Not sure I would go back.

Leia was so sweet, personable and served us very well. She took great care of us! We will be returning.

The place was empty. As we looked at the single page menu, waiting almost 10 minutes for a server to stop by, a bug scurried across the table. You know if there are bugs crawling on the table, the kitchen is absolute hell. We were out the door right away- we never saw a server.

Went in on a Saturday evening and it wasnt busy. The girl at the door sat us down promptly but waited for 15 mins and no services. We got up and left and dont think they even noticed. The one star is for one person (the girl at the door) who did their job.

Havent been back to this place in several years after a couple of mediocre experiences. First off, the menu seems to have improved immensely, more diverse and interesting. I enjoyed the bison burger tonight and it was excellent, as was my wifes fish tacos. Their steak fries were excellent, very tasty. Plus Big Wave beer on top, surfs up!

Got the Pistachio Crusted Salmon, salmon was good but the mashed potatoes it came with had no flavor. Went there for a friends birthday, restaurant overall had a nice atmosphere and the calamari ordered was good as well. Nice spot.

It s a cozy homely pub in Oakville. The food was decent but not great the burger looked nice but I didn t like the cook on it. Fries were nice and so was the Brussels sprout roast. Server was nice and polite. Ambience is ok. People were mostly families and friends and conservatively dressed crowd. Over all good but can do a bit better still

My husband and I went to state and main today to celebrate our birthdays and we had a great time. Stephanie was amazing!! Super friendly and so attentive. She was amazing running the bar plus taking care of tables. She made our birthday lunch extra special. We also found out that the patio is dog friendly so we will definitely be back with our girl.

I came to this place to eat a steak. Unfortunately, the chef/manager Todd, wasn t able to cook a rare steak, serving me a well done and an over burned piece of meat!!! Then he came out to me and started arguing about it, trying to prove that an overburned steak is actually a blue-rare! I showed him the charcoal!!! Todd, I m very sorry, that I came to your restaurant at 12 pm, which is so early for you, that you haven t woken up yet and probably didn t feel like cooking, as this place is usually empty at this time of a day Stay away from this place, as there are plenty of delicious restaurants in the area. Also, Todd chef or manager, who ever you are there, please make sure when you come out to talk to the customers you do that politely and that you actually make sense when saying something.

Had the Chicken Burger it was amazing!Perfectly seasoned chicken with a soft bun. Highly recommend to anyone craving a fantastic chicken burger experience! Their service is but a bit pricy Food

The food was above expectations. I went into this expecting a well plated meal with good taste and came out getting that and more. For the appetizers, we ordered the bang bang shrimp, and the calimari. Both were decent portions and tasted great. For the main course, I got the truffle rigatoni. It was delicious, although the portion was slightly small. Around the table, others got a steak (which came with incredibly good mashed potatoes), a spicy tuna poke bowl, and butter chicken. Everyone else enjoyed their meals and were happy with their portions. I will say the spicy foods were actually decently spicy, unlike most places nowadays. For the dessert, we got the brownies and the bread pudding (I think). Both were good, and came with good portions. As for the service, despite the restaurant being desolate, the service felt somewhat slow. I could only imagine how it would be on a busy day. It wasnt unbearable, but it wasnt good. The waitress was very nice and did check in on occasion, but overall, I would have liked if the drinks and apps came out a little faster. Overall, it was a good experience, and I would consider returning, but definitely avoiding busy days.

Delicious food! Super tasty pub-style meal. Hard to find good tasting Western restaurants sometimes, as most places are bland. But this place was great, lots of flavours, and amazing options to choose from. Will be back one day. Staff were friendly too!

Visited State & Main in Oakville location on a hump day, Wednesday. Menu is good but not too many varieties. Bar menu is also ok. Service is very slow specifically they took 20 minutes to give us beer. Food is good and tasty, we tried Chicken lettuce wraps and chicken enchiladas. Only disappointment is bar service which is very very slow when compared to other bars nearby. Little expensive as well.

Our server was fabulous. We sat at the bar. It s cozy and they have happy hour. The soup dumplings are my favourite. The calamari was a bit tough. The bang bang shrimp are delicious.

Unfortunately this is the worst experience that ive ever had very messy. I just came from here with a take out order got home my burger is so messy my food is so cold like its been sitting for ever. Terrible terrible You should really care even about the take out orders as well as the done in orders because this is worse then mc Donalds big Mac. I ordered the main burger and fries I didnt order sloppy Joe special ladies please do better Feb 7th 3:15pm

Very disappointed in the level of service. 4 people. We have to wave over the server to place our order. They brought one main dish before the apps. Then for the mains they brought 3 meals and supplied fries until the 4th plate came. By the time it arrived the party was finished eating. Not one sorry. Agin call him over to clear our table and he just drops the bill.

The pistachio-crusted salmon I ordered was a catastrophic failure. The promise of a flavorful, textured dish was a farce. What arrived was a bland, tasteless travesty that barely resembled food, let alone a delicately prepared meal. The lack of seasoning or any semblance of effort left me stunned and deeply disappointed. This establishments inability to deliver a palatable pistachio-crusted salmon is unacceptable and reflects poorly on their culinary competence. We ve been circulating this photo to our friends and family, needless to say no one we know will ever be going to this location again.

A little expensive for what you get. The steak and asparagus were good but the mashed potatoes tasted like cardboard. My girlfriends french fries were cold. The server was nice but forgetful. She had come back three times to make sure she took our order right.

Eating out is expensive and as a customer you have a choice in terms of time and cost on where to eat. Restaurant understaffed and service was so slow. Waitress messed up order. She brought appetizer and one entree but forgot second entree and could not be found until after other party had finished meal. No discount for terrible service. Yes we still left a tip and people are human and make mistakes. But a note to others...There is a nice Keg across the street. Spend your money and your time there to actually get the dinner you ordered and not waste two hours and money on an incomplete meal

I went here with my son as a last meal before I send him of to university. I ordered the jalapeño Mac and cheese which was good. I also ordered the fish tacos. I asked for extra cilantro for the tacos as the waitress said it had cilantro on it. She brought me what she told me was cilantro but was actually parsley. I am severely allergic to parsley. As my throat was closing up I told her we had to leave immediately as she served me parsley instead of cilantro. Instead of apologizing and advised me that she checked with the chef and in fact served me cilantro. I am not an idiot, I love cilantro I know the difference. I rushed home to use my epi pen which is not co weed under my medical plan and a waste of $130. I m shocked that the waitress didn t seem to care and not even a drink was removed from the bill considering the circumstances. She gave me her manager Tristan s card to call to complain . I was told the service here wasn t good but never expected this. Heartless. And my throat is still sore from the experience .

The jalapeno mac and cheese is one item that keeps bringing me back. I have to admit that I didnt even know you can add Cajun chicken breast to it which just took it to the next level. In addition to great food the service is absolutely amazing. I highly recommend to everyone.

Service was painfully slow. Over 15 mins before a waitress came to our table after being seated. Drinks took another 10 and waters another 30ish. Steak salad was just a big pile of lettuce with a few small pieces of tomato plus steak. Hardly any dressing and when asked for more it never came.

We came there this evening, sept 27 af 8pm. We enjoyed our dinner and didn t think I would write this but as we left, our server said no tip? But we left a tip I don t think the dinner constituted a large tip as the tip we left was sufficient 1. The restaurant wasn t busy and we waited 10 minutes for someone to acknowledge us 2. After ordering our drinks our waitress was probably inattentive to us for 30+ minutes 3. One of our dishes with soup, was served without a spoon 4. Just not a very inviting personality to have as a server SO the fact that our server commented towards the end of our night, where she didn t realize she did not satisfy our expectations is quite the situation. * Sidenote, we appreciate that she gave us the free cheesecake for our birthday but I don t think she should of expecting a larger tip with how the night went Was very unprofessional and uninviting for this establishment

Food was delicious. Really impressive meals with some diversity in there too! Waitress was very bubbly and engaging. Cool environment, Kelseys but with better food and more of a hip vibe.

Went here for lunch and tried the Honey Glazed Chicken, it was so good and our server Leah was great! Will come back again!!

Standard chain restaurant. Food was good, nothing too special. Asked for very little ice in our drink and got a glass full of ice. We walked in at 6pm on a Saturday night and were seated right away.

The food was good, and the ambiance was also very nice. But what made the night was our server, Nate, who made the entire dinner absolutely fabulous. His personalized service was exceptional, he was very friendly throughout, and he also put up with my family s terrible sense of humor. He turned a birthday dinner into a wonderful experience. Half price bottles of wine were another Thursday perk.

State and Main is a chain placed in the mid-upper scale with a wide menu selection. Overall it s a great place to go where you can expect good food and the staff is great. I ve been a few times, preferring the lounge & bar area. I got to say the bartender Leah is top shelf!!! Last time there she came over to say hello and take my order. I said surprise me. So she made me a spicy honey margarita and then came back with the honey glazed Cajun chicken. Both were excellent! The drink was so well made and it paired perfectly with the spicy/sweet chicken. They do get busy at peak hours. I prefer the happy hour more relaxed service. Cheers!

Great food and friendly service.

We walked into the restaurant and despite the dining room being half full, we were told they were too busy to take us. Not theres a 30 minute wait or anything....simply no, we wont take you at all today. Ive never seen anything like it in my entire life. I was looking forward to trying this place, but I never will now!

Had a great time catching up with friends! Our server Emilee was great and knowledgeable with recommendations. We got the tartare, mac and cheese, steak, wings and fries and everything was delicious!

Came for lunch today, the service was fast and our server Emilee was energetic and polite. She even got us a free dessert for my husbands birthday.
