I just stopped here for a pint and a quick bite while my kid was at a birthday party. Ended up having one of the best burgers I ve ever had. Top 5 for sure. They make them in house so they come medium. Absolutely incredible. The fries too! For the love of god don t get the salad. Get fries. The Yale was the burger I believe. Had bacon and blue cheese. Staff are really friendly too. Next time I m through Oakville for sure stopping here.

A great addition to Kerr Street for great craft food and a relaxing atmosphere. Order some yam fries to start.

Great beer selection and food!

Great atmosphere, looks beautiful and cozy inside. Id give it another chance because issue was mainly service. Food is subpar, wings had cold spots. Service was garbage, the dude looked like he was having a bad day and made the experience shit on top of subpar food. With better service this place would be awesome.

Went here on a Saturday afternoon with my kids. The server was amazing and was so attentive to my youngest ones. Everyone got a great meal and a delightful experience. Will come back! Kid-friendliness: Great with kids! They have a kids menu like grilled cheese, kids burger, and chicken poppers. So yummy!!

I was a bar patron very slow to acknowledge me it seemed that the bar tender didn t want to serve me., I asked for the bill and he the bar tender took his time to check me out not impressed., he was at the same time talking to a couple of patrons who were drinking besides me but was neglecting me at the bar I truly feel that I was being ignored for no good reason. Affer sometime I decided to give The Ginger Man Bar And Grill. A second chance at serving me., much to my surprise or desire it was not towards what I wanted or would expect it was the same or less. I entered at about 4pm sat at the bar by the wine bottles no one recognized me for about 10 minutes., a bar customer pointed me out to the bartender who then served me., repositioned myself at a different place at the bar to enjoy my drink., at such time I was approached by the bartender from the past experience who which to make amends for the past experience which I accepted. I wanted to order another drink at which point the bartender on duty had no record of my drink order or present in the bar., he approached the manager on duty who came to me and asked me to leave the bar and establishment without any explanation other then saying we prefer you don t come back without any reason. I honestly have no problem., I would like wish everyone there all the best in their endeavours and for that of the holidays but I won t I was not given reason to leave just saying he didn t want me there . So if you want to go there the atmosphere is fantastic., the food is interesting., and the service is much to be desired and if you want to be ignored then that s the place to go. I again feel I was singled out for no reason whatsoever and that the establishment in general is seeking a certain level of clientele that I don t fit into the general description that they want. Yet the money $ that I carry in my pocket is the same as probably everyone else in this country so what is the problem. Please feel free to contact me at your convenience. So once again appreciate your attempt at hospitality but it doesn t work. I trust you will find your financial gain and goals off of Kerr Street. ( on a foot note maybe you can have a convenient fire ) to reimburise yourself with money you loose in the current financial situation you are in. Question.! So it s not in your interest to banish your patrons from the establishment for that purpose of no reason.

Stopped in at 345PM on a Saturday for an early dinner, solo. No host. Another couple came in and milled around with me, and they were then prioritized and seated first. Few more minutes until I was acknowledged by a server, and while I was given a choice of bar and booth, it didnt feel like my choice of both was the outcome they wanted. It was still pretty dead, being early, so tabletops werent an issue. Ordered dry ribs and the house burger with a soda. I did upgrade my fries to sweet potato fries with aoili dip. It took 20 minutes to even get the appetizer. And then about 25 minutes to get the burger. When the burger arrived I had normal fries and ketchup. I didnt feel like waiting for a correction so I just took it as is. Ribs were good, but nothing to order again or write here about. Burger was great. Fries excellent. I ate my whole meal and was never once checked in on or offered a refill or a chance to upgrade to a beer, which I had intended to do once I had the entree. Took another 10 minutes after I asked for my bill to even get the bill. The original gingerman burned down right when I moved into the area, and I was always curious so I was excited to see it reopened. Compared to the Boot, which I think is the same management, just a night and day experience between front of house staff care and the food - With gingerman being a. On the I dont think Ill be back end of the scale.

I wanted to love Gingermans, as it was my favorite place to go before they closed years ago. The atmosphere and decor has a great vibe. The food, sloppy presentation and mediocre. We had the wings, shredded pork sliders beef patties sliders, fish taco, lettuce wraps and fries. The fries were the best of the food. I had a margarita, which was terrible. The bartender needs to watch some you tubes and finesse their skill. The kitchen chef/cook and staff need to Pay more attention to the food they are sending out. Our server was lost when it came to the menu and very unsure about most questions. I realize its only been open a month, but there is a need for improvement. I wish them luck, especially in this environment, you want repeat customers, and the experience we had wont convince people to return.

Horrible experience had come in since it reopened came in for my dad s birthday they have a cover charge no one tells you about the food is a hour and a half coming out. Charges for each pop they don t tell you that it s a charge each time the server was awful. Will not recommend them and I will not be returning. Terrible service and all the server had to say was oh the door didn t tell you.

We had lunch there yesterday and it was fabulous! Food was hot and delicious. Its only been open a month and I look forward to going back for a live music event. Happy to pay a cover to support live music in Oakville!!

I tried Gingerman for the first time and I wanted to love as it s very convenient. We were starving and the food took 30+ min to arrive seemed like the server forgot our food. Food was on the smaller portion. Flavor was ok If you are not in a rush and don t mind average serve it s ok Food

New place is awesome! It s huge, Modern but rustic with a spacious stage where they do live music. Awesome draft beer selection and good tasting competitive pricing food! There isn t a nice sports style pub/bar like this on Kerr or that many even comparable in Oakville! They showed the Tyson vs Paul fight last night, it s a fun place with lots of potential!

Dear gingerman, We had THE gingerman serving us tonight and received optimal service. They don t have dessert and can t make their own ice cream so make sure you bring your own cake;) Food was 11/10 and ambience was as well. Definitely will be back soon. Thanks Jessie Food

Atmosphere is amazing! Loved the way they cleaned up the building. Really disappointed there isnt something ginger based or to build/decorate your won gingerbread house/person while drinking with friends, hence the name and logo everywhere. The food was not good and really only had burger options. For a pub didnt even have chicken fingers and fries and didnt have fish and chips. Very disappointed in lack of food choices and why I wouldnt return. The male waiter instantly put his arm and slide it down the back of the chair until it was almost completely wrapped behind me, making me instantly uncomfortable. I asked him to move it, let him know most woman wont be appreciative over a move like that and he did apologize. Dont think Ill be going back unless they change the menu or do something ginger like Vegetarian options: Didnt have any Dietary restrictions: Nit a good spot for restrictions, not a very broad menu for picky eaters

Great time here, service was fantastic, food was delicious. Met the owner and some of his family that work there - very nice and genuine. We re going to make this a regular night.

Closed in 2019 after a fire. Hear it may be reopening at a nearby spot on Kerr St. at some point later in 2024. Great burgers and fries are pretty fresh. Its not that big but theres a nice patio out front with the trendy rollup garage doors.

Great sports bar atmosphere. Good service, good meals (burger was a little dry). The trip to the basement to find the mens room was a little sketchy. Overall a good place for a quick bite to eat.

The place was fine but unremarkable. The salad was pretty good, but the burger was very dry and they didnt make it the way I ordered. Playing football on the televisions.

Cozy place, delicious food

I m giving them only two stars, not because of the food or service. Food was good and atmosphere is nice and cozy but they have a terrible fruit fly problem and it completely ruined our night. I felt like I was at a summer camp. Constantly having to swat away flies in December is ridiculous. I will definitely go back but I won t be staying long or eating if they haven t cleaned up the issue.

Servers are always super friendly, food is great (one of the best poutines I ve ever had - I ve returned several times and often get the poutine), and it s a nice atmosphere. Last time I was there my friend had forgotten her takeout box and the waitress had kept it behind the counter for her in case she returned for it.

It was a good restaurant. I liked the food quality and the atmosphere. Its not too big so I wouldnt recommend this restaurant for big groups unless you reserve in advance. Its a good place for some decent pub grub and pints.

Wow best salad ever

This place is truly fun we really enjoyed it, we spent a few hours there. The presentation of the food was outstanding, the taste of the food was even better than the presentation very very yummy. The place can get loud, for people who like it, it is great but it was a little bit too loud for me but didnt really mind. The only big problem I have with this place is the washrooms, they were dirty and very unwelcome and didnt feel very sanitary there. I am just concerned that if the washrooms were so dirty is the kitchen clean? Very often in the restaurant environment the washrooms are a direct representation of the kitchen and the food. I still rated at 5 because the food was very yummy and presentation of the food was amazing. If i were to include the entire expierience the washrooms would lower the rating to 4.

This is one of my favourite restaurants in Oakville in terms of the quality of the food. My kids love it as well. It can be really busy in the evenings so if you have a larger group, consider reserving the back room. I love the décor and atmosphere as well. The real issue is that service is either a hit or a miss - you may get a server who is absolutely amazing, or youll get someone whom youll never see. Occasionally the kitchen is crazy slow and itll take forever to get food (but then its really good so ugh). Such mixed feelings. Just make sure you go with time to spare and youll enjoy it.

Wow! Bartender Cedo and Courtney were amazing! The PEI mussels were so favourful (perfect amount of garlic, you could drink the sauce and the lightly toasted ciabatta... so perfect for dipping) and cracked dry ribs were just what we needed. Great atmosphere and people. Came for a drink, ended up staying the whole night. Social and welcoming. Feels like home

Visited for Valentine s Day! Was pleasantly surprised to find non-overbearing live acoustic music playing (which apparently happens every Thursday), along with a great atmosphere and friendly staff. This is my second time visiting and will surely be back again.

Made reservations for a group of 25 (hockey team and parents)well in advance. Only 2 servers in the place and they just couldn t figure out any ordering system. Every other place I ve ever been uses the kids jersey number but they couldn t get it. 1 hour in kids and adults were waiting for drinks. At hour 2 food started to come out but they were completely unsure who ordered what and some didn t even arrive. 2.5 hours in the bills start arriving and you guessed it the majority are wrong. Everyone paid and left and then they tried to claim a large amount wasn t paid for but then found out some people paid with cash. Team manager left to try and sort everything out. It s a shame because the food was great but their service is the worst I ve seen. We were pretty much the only ones in the place so I have to believe that they should be able to handle 25 patrons but if not they shouldn t take the reservation.

Love this place. Nothing complicated, burgers, wraps, ribs. Even a couple of great salads. Very friendly staff, reasonable prices, wide beer selection and a whack of tvs.

Good audience, gets busy fast so if you are going in a group its advised to book ahead becuase sometimes there isnt always space.

I first visited last summer and was not impressed but was in the area recently with friends and thought I would give it another try. Food is medicore for the prices and the service here is TERRIBLE. Waitress sprayed my hand with the cleaning spray meant for the table and she was nowhere to be found all night. Had to get up and look for her for another round of drinks. Couldnt be bothered to clean the food plates well after we had eaten. Also had to go to the bar to get the bill while all the staff were just sitting around. Wont be back.

They have a decent variety of permanent beers on tap; Im partial to the delirium. The menu is your basic pub fare but done well. I always get the lobster grilled cheese. It has ample cheesiness to it and a decent amount of lobster

Great food but something was definitely off about their dark and stormy. I get this drink almost everytime its on a menu but this time it tasted like it had lemon lime Gatorade powder added! This taste was confirmed by all 4 people I was with!

We really do want to like this place! My partner and I have been 5 times in the last year and a half. We keep coming back because the atmosphere is fun, the patio is nice, and its generally a good place to have a drink and watch sports. Unfortunately, we have been consistently disappointed in the food: other than one acceptable burger experience, the overall quality of the ingredients is sub-par at best. This is especially confusing because we have always enjoyed the food at The Boot just up the street, which is apparently run by the same people. In addition, portion sizes have been wildly inconsistent on different visits, or even when my partner and I ordered the same dish. We have had different sandwiches, their taco specials, and starters hoping that previous experiences were only isolated incidents. Furthermore, the beer selection is very limited (even after being told last summer that it would be updated), with not a lot of options for craft beer despite the many breweries in Ontario. One would expect a little more variety at a neighbourhood pub. Please know that the location is great, and we want to be locals here we have tried but we cannot recommend this place for anything more than a beer. If these issues were addressed, this place would quickly become a very successful spot.

This was my first visit to this restaurant. It was a warm evening so they had all the doors opened to the outdoor patio. We enjoyed the pulled pork sandwich and sweet potatoe fries we had. It is a sports bar/pub style restaurant and they had live music playing. Our waitress was super friendly and attentive.

I love this place as it is the only place I have come across that sells Delirium on tap. If you have not tried it... brace yourself. Food is better than most pubs. loved the taco specials, really great.

Lauren was our server. Very sweet and helpful. Had the bison burger HIGHLY recommend. It was not dry (and I am picky with my dryness), delicious pallet of flavours (sweet and savoury combo with the candied figs), not too heavy, and the bun was amazinngggg. Try it out!

Sat at least 20 min before server looked at us. Food was decent, nothing to wrote home about. Yale Burger had blue cheese dressing instead of blue cheese...

Havent had a consistently good experience with the staff, but wouldnt say Ive ever had a bad experience either. Food is good; often something basic like a chicken wrap, but with unique ingredients. I may be wrong but I think their menu changes fairly regularly. Nice place to dine in, good vibe, very clean.

Great staff - overpriced food

Ive been coming to this location for a few years and the quality remains top notch. It used to be a hidden gem, but since the condos filled up nearby, the place is packed. Reserving a seat is highly recommended. Favourite menu items are the Cowboy and the Lobster Grilled Cheese. You wont be disappointed.

Went because I had read their fries are amongst the top 5 in Oakville. The fries were OK but I wouldnt have said they wowed me. We did enjoy the yam fries with the garlic aioli. The portions were large, the food was good.

Had early dinner lasts night. Great atmosphere. Large front roll up doors were open giving us that outdoor patio feeling. Lots of big screen monitors playing various sport channels. Shared appetizers included dry rub ribs, a crab dip with nachos, and roasted cauliflower. We cleaned every plate. They have the best pub burgers around with fries you cant stop eating. Huge choice of burgers including a vegetarian that my daughter enjoys. Our granddaughter sits in her high chair sampling everything enthralled by her surroundings. An enjoyable night.

Their poutine is literally the bomb! Like seriously I suggest you try it cause its amazing :D

Fun place, and the food has improved since it has opened. The drink selection is fairly cookie cutter for a bar, and the cocktails are not anything to write home about, but the staff is friendly and its one of the favourites for late night meeting spots of the people of the town. Tip: It says open to 11 but if people are still there they stay open. Drive by and look to see if people are on the patio, drinks will still be served, only deep fryer food though after that.

worst service restaurant i ve ever been to. the waitress stood at the bar flirting with the bar tender as she ate her food but neglected to come take our order. we asked for water when we first sat down and it never showed up

Had lunch here, nice selection of beers. Would of liked my German wheat beer to be colder, but still acceptable. I really wish that restaurants in YYZ would stop claiming their smoked meat is Montreal smoked meat. The so called poutine I ordered was the furthest thing from an authentic Quebec poutine. It was more like pastrami with mozerella curds. Unless youre getting your cheese curds, the squeaky kind, shipped in from QC, then take it off the menu.

Stopped in to our former favorite haunt Saturday night around 945pm for drinks and a bite to eat. The hours on google showed open until 1030pm. The place was empty aside from maybe 4 other tables. Our request to sit on the patio was shot down because they were going to close it. We asked if the kitchen was still open and the waitress tossed some menus on our table and said until 10pm like we completely ruined everyones night by showing up. Its no wonder everyone from Oakville goes to Port Credit, Burlington or Toronto for restaurants. We got up and left. Not sure well bother coming back. Thanks to her rudeness we went over and tried Harpers Landing for the first time and were very pleased.

Food is ok. Lots of sugar in sauces. Service was fine. It was all ok. Nothing great.

Nice place, fun staff!

After reading many reviews of this place I finally gave it a try. I was looking forward to the experience but was disappointed in both the food and the service, although I did like the patio. Our server did not make sure we were enjoying our food and only returned to give us refills on our pop. I waited 30 minutes to get the bill after my plate was taken away. The naam burger was okay. Bit dry on sides and the fries were lukewarm. My friend had the Reuben and loved it tho. For that I give 3 stars.

I love this place in the summer. I usually meet a pal after work for a beer and an app. The service is awesome, sometimes they do live music, and the patio is an awesome place to relax.

Came back after a year and had a pretty bad experience. A year ago food was delicious and service was great, this time our burgers came cold with black fries and sloppy service. The place was kinda stinky and dirty, will not come back again.

Went here for the first time this weekend. Horrible service. Below average food. Server had little to no knowledge about the food and drinks on the menu. Server came only once after serving our food, around 40 minutes after, at that point I asked for the bill. When looking for the server during the 40 minutes, she was constantly pretending to work at the bar polishing cutlery for no reason and chit chatting with people at the bar while customers waited for service. The server did NOT ask us for refills ONCE (how could they if they were busy polishing cutlery pretending to be busy while chit chatting by the bar). Beer glass was empty for the longest time, didn t even get a refill on beer. Wife had to refill her own water 3-4 times with a pitcher she found on a ledge! How pathetic the service is at this place, ridiculous! Customer service was horrible, the server acted like we owed her something. Very rude server. Flies everywhere. Would not return. Would not recommend. Would give 0 stars if I could. The person that greeted us was amazing. The person that cleaned our table was super nice. The server we got was just horrible, I ve never had such a bad experience. She was rude and never smiled. I m not a picky person, I actually don t care if my sever smiles or not as long as service is okay, but damn, no refills on beer and water? They disappear after serving food? This place seriously needs to review their customer service and replace stale faced slacker servers.

My boyfriend and I came for dinner during a weekday a couple weeks ago and our experience was amazing The location is convening and hard to miss with a super cute patio during summer and the interior is cozy and well kept. Bar area and sitting area are both good choices its not small but not big either just perfect. The food was the highlight by far. We had the blue cheese burger and the big bird. The fries were fresh and salad was great (dressing was great). The burger was so so good with quality ingredients and real beef patties that you can tell that werent generic. The big bird was the highlight. It was perfectly crispy and SO juicy and flavourful, not heavy and not greasy. I dont know how they do it but we are getting it every time we come to be honest. The service was good the waitress was nice and attentive to our needs and when we asked for extra sauce she was back within a couple of minutes with everything. We are def. coming back here and truly one of the best burger places weve been to in Oakville

Had a great first experience here. Been back maybe 2-3 times since then & ive always left extremely disappointed. Service is always terrible, & there s always been some sort of issue with the food. I will not be returning to the Gingerman.

Really good pizza

As a burger guy I was hesitant of getting anything else but went outside the box and ordered the BiG Bird chicken sandwich. It was just as juicy and tasty as any ol burger Wife ordered freshly squeezed grapefruit cocktail I order grapefruit radler Both amazing Whole experience exceeded expectations I ll be back again and highly recommend

Nice little social eatery. Calamari was little thick but the nachos were good and the burgers were great.

Amazing! The quality and service was great. The food was delicious, fresh, and the beer was nice and cold. Nothing about this place is subpar. The restaurant is stylish, and the atmosphere is exactly what you would hope for in a place like this. They get five big stars from me!

My daughter and I ate here a few days ago and i was pleasantly surprised. We shared several apps and they were all delicious. Service was great, with just the right amount of banter from the waiter. We will definitely visit again.

This place is way over priced will never go back again beers are so expensive foods so expensive.. No wonder this place is never busy.. Domestic beers were 7.00 that is to expensive I rather go else where.. But the food is good..

The best and I mean BEST burger Ive had in 20yrs since you could go to a place and get a real burger pattie without processed everything. The differing styles to choose from were hard and I cant wait to go back and get another. The atmosphere was great for a Sunday afternoon with friends, games on TVs hot load and really great servers.
