Visiting Orangeville today for our young great nephews lacrosse tournament. We had to go to Rustik. Amazing experience! Best burger, bacon perfectly cooked - just yummm. But even better was the beef tenerloin, perfect medium, grilled to perfection, portioned to price. Sides and caesar salad complimented their proteins so well. Service impeccable! Atmosphere warm and welcoming! Absolutely wonderful meal, everything was excellent! Special thanks to the owner, servers and kitchen staff

Disappointing Experience Due to Dishonesty and Discrimination I m extremely disappointed with my recent experience. I visited with my family and friends including young children, and was told by the staff that they were fully booked and couldn t accommodate us. Understanding that this can happen, we left, but something didn t sit right. Out of curiosity, I called later, and to my surprise, I was informed that tables were available. It was clear that we were turned away because we had a children with us, and the staff didn t have the decency to be honest about it. If your restaurant does not welcome families with kids, that s your choice, but at least be transparent about it rather than lying. We would have appreciated honesty over being misled. I hope the management reflects on this approach. Families deserve to be treated with respect, and this experience left a sour taste. We won t be returning, and I wouldn t recommend this place to anyone who values honesty and inclusivity.

Im extremely disappointed by the discrimination against families with kids we faced at this restaurant and dishonest staff. We were in town with our friends and two kids. The place was opening at 12pm and we waited outside to come at that time as we wanted to have lunch there based on the reviews. When we walked in the place was empty as they barely opened. So we asked for a table but we were told that they are fully booked. It sounded very strange as they are not some world class Michelin star restaurant which are usually booked months in advance. So my friend gave them a call right outside of their door step and asked if he could book a table for 30 minutes later. Guess what, they did book it right away! Hard to believe that someone who booked a table in advance would walk in there after us and would be out in less than 30 minutes for a table to be available. This was a clear discrimination and I wouldnt eat in a place where the staff is dishonest right from the moment you walk in! It is ok to advertise adult only venue but lying to clients should never be acceptable.

We had a business dinner with 4 guests from abroad who never ate Venison or had Ontario wine. We ordered both and it was absolutely delicious. It was an unforgettable evening for our business associates.

The staff are lovely. Most of us enjoyed our meals. We were sad they changed their lunch menu not long before we went as we were looking forward to the brunch style offerings of their previous menu.

My wife and I celebrated our wedding anniversary tonight at Rustik. Great food (my wife had the duck - mmmmm good), perfect level of service and a lovely casual atmosphere. Out the door for just under $180. We will be back.

Very kool vibe and service is very welcoming. But... the burger is the very best burger I have ever had!! Juicy, charred and bacon I absolutely can not get over it. The one thing that would put this into spectacular realm would be if they would serve fresh cut fries not frozen...

Pleasant atmosphere, good service and foods

Very disappointed. Dont order the roasted maple butternut squash salad. There was no roasting of the squash. It was raw, no maple flavour or seasoning, and some of the pieces of butternut still had the rind on it! Lost my appetite instantly. Then the server proceeded to tell me they were roasting more and that he was sorry. That was a complete lie because they were closing in 45 minutes. Fine dining at its worst! A huge disappointment.

Ive been passing by this place for many years, and always wondered how it was. Finally got a chance to try it out, and was impressed! The atmosphere was great, nice music, and soft enough where you dont have to yell to the person in front of you. Service was excellent, didnt keep interrupting, but was attentive when needed. Food was quite delicious, even with the unique mixes (this coming from a picky eater). Will gladly be coming back here!

Amazing service. And exceptional food. This is the first restaurant I have tried since my move to Orangeville. It did not disappoint. The host and servers were gracious, kind, and accommodating.

My family and I ate at this restaurant on Sunday and couldnt be more pleased with the service and food! Jessica, our server, was the true definition of customer service excellence. She was incredibly friendly and charismatic. She was knowledgable with the menu and very attentive to our needs and asks as customers. I loved the atmosphere overall. I recently went to Rustik in Orangeville and was impressed with the ambiance of the restaurant. The rustic decor and high ceilings created a warm and inviting atmosphere. The live piano and drums music added to the overall experience, making it a great spot for a Friday night out. The service was amazing, our server was attentive and helpful. The food was delicious, we ordered a variety of dishes such as bolognese, burger, grilled calamari, mushrooms on toast, and pasta. Each dish was well prepared and full of flavor. The wine selection was also great, we had some great wine from the Niagara region and local beer from Orangeville. The mushrooms on toast and pasta were our favourite. I highly recommend Rustik in Orangeville, its a great spot for a casual, yet delicious meal. The quality of the food and drinks is excellent, and the atmosphere is warm and inviting. It was a great spot for a Friday night out

Amazing little restaurant on the Main Street in Orangeville. Our first time here and we were completely impressed with the atmosphere and ambiance. We did not have a reservation but did call before arriving. We were there Friday January 20, 2023 and they had a fantastic band playing. The food was delicious and service from the front of the restaurant to the back and everyone in between was friendly and welcoming and ensured a terrific dining experience.

It is always a great sign when the folks who greet you at the door are truly happy to see you coming. We were seated, made comfortable and a quick review of the special dish and soup of the day. Decent well thought out wine list. Appetizers were as described and satisfying. Our vegan enjoyed their veggie burger, and the spaetzle of the day was reported as delicious but the chicken was a bit dry. I had the beef bourgingnon. Desserts were made in house and thoroughly enjoyed. Really a better than average place for an early Sunday dinner.

This is one of the better places for a nice dinner in Orangeville. The only reason I cant give a 5 star rating is the inconsistency in the food quality. I find the meats can be cooked very differently depending on the day or time you go, the quality of their chefs seem to vary quite drastically. Before COVID they were always perfect, everything tasted amazing. I believe throughout COVID they experienced some staffing issues both with servers and chefs, and their quality reflects that. All that being said, their evening chefs are amazing, the servers are great, the atmosphere is relaxing, and there really isnt a bad pick on the menu. Vegetarian options: There arent that many vegetarian options, but what they do have are pretty good. The veggie burger is good, but not great. Parking: Both on main and the side streets there are plenty of parking spots withing a 2 minute walk.

We were luck to be there when there was live music! Server was excellent! Rack of lamb was amazing! Would definitely recommend this restaurant!

Rustik Bistro blew me away! I went there for a celebration dinner and was glad I chose the pricier restaurant option in the area. The service was fantastic, the food was exceptional, and most importantly they had items and substitutions to fit my dietary restrictions. I love that they source their food locally and you can taste the difference of quality in the food. The beef I had was tender and marinated in delicious jus, the calamari was unique and well seasoned, the veggies were fresh and cooked to perfection, and the soup of the day happened to be safe for my diet and was absolutely delicious! 10/10 satisfied with my meal experience.

We have been to Rustik a few times now, and its just consistently very good. Its a simple menu with a few chefs specials thrown in. Order with confidence everything is fantastic and the decor is wonderful as well.

Had an amazing dinner here for my aunts 70th birthday. Debbie was our server she was absolutely WONDERFUL. The atmosphere was great. The food was yummy. The only reason its not a 5 star is because they served the pasta special and unfortunately the pork belly was soggy and very greasy. Everything else was wonderful. Although it wasnt required today there were so many gluten free options available . We were passing through Orangeville and came across this place. It didnt disappoint! The chicken was honestly some of the tenderest and tastiest Ive ever had at a restaurant, and the veg was flavourful and crunchy. We got dessert too which was made on-site and the chocolate marshmallow torte was sublime. Service was very attentive and extremely friendly. Would definitely return!

Great staff and, beautiful dining room. Chef Adam &, Chef Greg are amazing. Asparagus & White bean soup was lacking salt. Added 2tbsp to about 8-12oz portion. Love the pea shoots as well with the dish. Threw mine in. And great cost.

If I could rate a zero I would. My wife and I rarely waste the time to go out for dinner. Truely wishes we wouldve stayed home after this dinner. No atmosphere, no cared about the service. Spent more time chatting off to the side than paying attention to customers. The lack of knowledge regarding preparation of the food offered was crazy Calamari was offered grilled...came pan fried(no grill marks) over cooked. Order was the smallest Ive saw, for whatever reason spread the pcs over some mess of what my wife called compost from the kitchen Both our main meals were disappointing... specially mine which was to be served as a thick sauce, instead arrived with an inch of separated water in my bowl. Lacked seasoning and flavorless. We were offered discounts for our meals, which we declined...offering that only further proved noone cares. Discounts are not a replacement for the disappointments or lack of service. Overall prices were very high for the lack of quality and care. The chief should be replaced as he has no idea how to prepare the food offered on the menu. Only quick service was getting us to pay and leave the restraunt. Save your money and you date night by trying elsewhere in town.

Great service however the food was terrible. Overpriced for what you get. Chairs were uncomfortable. Pasta was dry lacking favour and the meat was overcooked. The steak was sub par at best. Very disappointed.

Poor service. I arrived 30 minutes before business closed on Saturday and was denied dine-in or takeout service. According to the server, they wanted to close their kitchen early and even wouldn t let me use their bathroom because they had already cleaned it.

We were only 4 people and one baby. We arrived 20 minutes before closing time and just wanted to order some sándwiches to go after a long trip coming from Wasaga but they said they were already closed (they supposedly close at 930pm). We only asked to use the bathroom before leaving and they said it was also closed even though some customers were still in the restaurant. The worse service in my travel around ontario.

Great little bistro in downtown Orangeville. We had the burgers which came with cheese, bacon and a fried egg delicious! Fries came with the burger. Family member had a grilled cheese that was a delux version. Started with a Caesar salad that had very tasty dressing with an extra burst of garlic. The serving staff were friendly and helpful with just the right amount of attention.

Live music, amazing food and dessert. Couldn t recommend anymore. Well done.

My wife and I went for our 19th Anniversary and it was amazing! Food came out in a good amount of time, and the service was wonderful. When were first got there it was a bit loud as it was busy (not a bad thing!) after an hour it started to quiet down. The noise wasnt so much as to be distracting nor did we have to raise our voices to talk to each other. We would 100% recommend Rustik of you are looking for a great dining experience!

Amazing food and staff are so friendly and helpful. I recommend booking, as it was busy when we were there. We both had duck for main which was so tasty and were recommended wine which was delicious and matched perfectly. We also saved ourselves for dessert instead of appetisers which personally I think was an excellent idea as the desserts were delicious, especially their Rustik beer pie. Our waitress was attentive and so friendly. I highly recommend this restaurant.

Went here for anniversary. The atmosphere is good. The place is smallish but not crowded. The service was excellent. My wife s fillet was very good cooked properly medium rare the Caesar salad, she had was OK in my opinion. I started with the pate, it was creamy slightly dens a crostini s were good. The mustard, jam and relish were good, but the mustard was overpowering. My main course duck breast was tasty yeah and not dried out. The purée and the carrots zucchini bok choy turnip? We re not overcooked and tasty. My latte tasted very good

Had a wonderful date night at Rustik, listening to live music and dinner was so delicious! We shared the Tomato Buffalo Mozzarella Salad and both had the Beef Tenderloin, done to perfection. Such a great spot!!! Food was wonderful, I had the daily spetzle, chicken liver pate, and the best sticky toffee pudding anywhere!! Hubs had the duck breast which was fantastic and moist, the shrimp and polenta appetizer and cheesecake for dessert. He was very happy. Price was decent for the delicious food. Service was fantastic!! Thanks Fairly!!! Lots of parking around, some free some not, no restaurant parking. Recommend you get there early and walk the street, the shops are wonderful and the seasonal decor is beautiful. Check out the big tree near the TD Bank. Highly recommend Rustic!!! Enjoy

Rustik is Orangevilles hidden treasure! The atmosphere is beautiful; the food is divine. Our server Debbie is extremely knowledgeable about the menu and makes you feel welcomed as if you were a guest in her home. Our new date night spot for sure!

We enjoyed our dinner at Rustik last night. Just a couple of points that I think might have helped. My wife had the Chicken Marsala Supreme. Not sure why they call it Marsala Supreme because it had no Marsalasauce at all and why Supreme? The chicken was nice but lacked flavour.

We had charcuterie and drinks and was great. Nice atmosphere will try dinner for sure

Very friendly and helpful service staff here. Gave me some good info about one of the beers they carry from a nearby brewery just down the road. The inside of the restaurant has a more formal feel, and the patio is more casual. The beef bourgignon was tasty with a nice variety of vegetables, maybe could have used a little more red wine flavor but it was my first time having this dish so I may be more used to reduced red wine sauce instead of this broth format. The spatzle was well cooked (I make it myself at home occasionally so I know this food well) but I prefer it in a more saucy dish or as a side. My wife gave good feedback on the grilled cheese, very melty cheese and she liked it. The Cesar salad was a bit peppery for her, but I personally like it that way. I recommend their pineapple juice cocktail, it was very refreshing for a patio drink.

I am not even sure where to begin with this review. My Mother and I hosted my sisters Star Wars themed baby shower here on Saturday. The owner, Brett was very helpful, had us a beautiful spot upstairs and was extremely attentive to all our needs. The food was amazing, the prices were fair and the staff truly went above and beyond. We didnt request this and when we arrived, the waitress serving our party dressed like Princess Leia, it was amazing! This is the type of place that stands out from the rest! The kitchen staff also played the Star Wars themed music for when guests arrived. All great food, fresh ingredients and the guests were all very happy with the food and service. Brett and Fairly(sorry if I misspelled your name) thank you for helping us make an extra special baby shower for my sister. You guys are amazing and we will be back again soon! This is exactly everything we wanted and more! Not to mention the fact that we forgot a bluetooth speaker and you guys were able to provide us with one. Unreal!! Went for a solo brunch and I was floored by how friendly and welcoming the staff were, and the soup of the day was FANTASTIC, a little white bean and corn soup. Will be taking everyone I know here!

One of the best restaurants Ive ever had the pleasure of visiting. The food and services was fantastic. I cannot say anything bad about this place. Its a must try if anywhere close to Orangeville.

The food was hot and flavourful, the service was friendly and quick and the atmosphere was fine dining but you could be casually dressed which made for a perfect dining experience. If you are in the Orangeville area I would highly recommend. Side note: I loved that the owner was on the floor doing the same work as the rest of the team. If you didnt know they were the owner you would never have guessed. Totally a team approach!

A beautifully well kept bistro in the heart of Orangeville. The service was excellent. The decor is rustic and cozy. This location has both indoor and outdoor dining. The meal was well made, fresh and tasted delicious.

Rustic was a good restaurant, and Id go back again. Staff were friendly and prompt. The food was mixed, but still good overall. I had their grilled cheese with fries. The sandwich was excellent and didnt try to do too much. The fries were way too salty and even if they were properly seasoned, they werent great. Im not sure if they make them in-house, but it felt like they were out of a bag. Also ordered the special; house-made spätzle with fennel sausage and tomato. I thought the spätzle was quite good, but the sausage was crumbled and made it overly greasy. The sausage was heavily seasoned with fennel and drowned out the other flavours. Had a rotating tap craft beer, cold and tasty. So yeah, definitely room for improvement on the food front, but still a really good experience.

Great dining experience and service! I would highly recommend this restaurant, fantastic food selection as well and prepared in a unique way. The ambiance and layout is beautiful!

We held a 50th wedding celebration for my parents here. The wait staff were outstanding! Lots of little ones under foot and they were very good even with all the chaos. Food was excellent. The private room for the (large) family was perfect for the occasion. I look forward to dining here again in the future. Kid-friendliness: The wait staff were so patient with all the kids. They even took the time to interact with the little ones reading the kids menu to them and exchanging in small talk. Was very impressed.

Ab Fab! Great experience, chef obviously excellent, food top quality. Staff actually care about the customer and the experience they receive. Casual fine dining at its best. Calamari, duck, shrimp and salmon our choice, but looking at other dishes coming out they were equally as good. One tip, ask for a cheese board, not on the menu but not a problem. (Debbie you were great!).

Service and food is great, seriously no complaints on that part. The only thing is I ordered the duck breast (which was done perfect) but there was not enough sides to the dish. I had nothing to soak up all that delicious sauce with. Needs to be served with mashed potatoes however, they do not serve this. For a $30+ dish, I was left unsatisfied with the portion size.

Enjoyed a beautiful dinner on a busy Friday night. My date and I enjoyed our appetizers and drinks but the duck breast and desserts were the highlight of our meal! The live music and ambience made the experience so much better. Would definitely return!

Amazing veggie burger. As someone who isnt vegetarian, this was so good.

The food was delicious, and perfectly portioned. Service was great, our server was very attentive and knowledgeable. The atmosphere was very relaxed and welcoming. If were ever in Orangeville again, definitely will be going back.

We had a great dinner while passing through Orangeville. It was highly recommended and lived up to the praise. Food was first class and waitress was very nice and attentive. Will come again.

We had neighbors come here for lunch today and they couldnt say enough good things about the RUSTIK. So my daughter and grandson came to visit and we took them to supper. We had the special Spaetzle, oh my gosh it was wonderful. My grandson had the Rustik burger and did he ever motor through it. It apparently was quite good.! Super meals. The chef is not German but our neighbors are. Hes born and raised in Orangeville. We had 2 very excellent waitresses Darlene on left and Debbie on the right. Very friendly and very friendly, and both professional in their work. The place wasnt too busy but at 8:30 on a Thursday it night was impressive! The decor is amazing. Theres also a private room upstairs at back of the restaurant, ( not accessible for wheelchairs etc.) That will hold up to 40 ppl . We cant wait to return. Wed really recommend this restaurant. Parking: Street parking. And large lot across the street. Kid-friendliness: High chairs available. Wheelchair accessibility: Side door has a ramp. Its a little short but with someone helping a little bit, it would be fine.

The food is hit and miss. The salmon was very good but the duck was tuff and underseasoned. The ambiance is normally quite elegant and comfortable but I dont recomend dinning here with live music. The acustics of the building are bad and the whole thing becomes quite loud and irritating.

Perfecf quality food, great service and ambiance

A great restaurant! A gem! A truly gourmet experience. And somewhere you wouldn t really expect it too! Makes it even better! We tried the Beef Bourguignon, the Grilled Calamari Puttanesca and the Bouillabaisse. We loved everything we were served! The wine selection was impeccable! The service was great! The weather was nice enough for us to sit outside, so that never hurts! Highly recommended and I look forward to visiting them again.

Nice environment, seating and chairs felt cafeteria style. Over priced and limited menu. Ordered the Mushroom Paccheri, way too salty (and I like salt) Could not finish. Stellar staff, would have been nice to be served bread and butter while having wine and waiting for entres.

The food was awesome the staff was great and the washrooms... Spotless clean! Loved every thing about this place.

We dined here with friends last week. Waitress staff were awesome. For the table we ordered artichoke dip and chips. The chips were your tortilla chips from the grocery store with the dip being too creamy with little artichoke flavor. The veggie burger broke into pieces 3 bites in. For a fine dining experience, this was sub par. Food was underwhelming. I would rather go to BP than come here again.

Good service and excellent food! The fries are so well seasoned that it surprised me; One of the best tasting fries. Their cocktails were fun and a good thirst quencher. Overall a solid 5!
