Food tasted good however CHECK EXPIRATION DATES on tarter sauce due to the fact yesterday was September 27th 2024 and well as you see in the photo my tarter sauce that was SPREAD ALL OVER MY FISH AND EATEN says Sept 17 2024. I don’t think the dates on these packages are suggestion dates but I have been wrong in the past.
Very good fish & chips. Quick service. Casual atmosphere. We had take-out haddock and chips. Loved the old classical wrap in a newspaper! For sure I'll be back for more fish & chips.
The halibut fish was very tasty. The service was quick and the staff were friendly. The atmosphere was casual and relaxed.
Seen reviews that the french fries werent good? We had ZERO complaints & we did take out. Fish (haddock) was really good too. Definitely want to try the onion rings next time. Prices are fair for the portion size

This place does not look very attractive, it is a simple restaurant, but the fish was very tasty, the fries were fine, but we had them slightly fried, they were almost raw. Even though we got one more ration, even the new fries were raw. We ate some, and took the rest home, and the next day I put them in the oven… and they were delicious. So, they should prepare the fries longer. That’s it..
Had an afternoon meal here with my family as we took a little day trip out to Orangeville. Saw this place had great reviews and so we decided to try it out! They have a really great menu, pricing is awesome, and VERY neat and clean. My parents even pointed out how clean it was inside. Anyways, the food was AWESOME! Lightly battered fish (we got the family sized cod fish n chips meal), very light and flaky. Not oily and heavy at all. Fries were thick cut and wholesome. Only feedback is to increase the size of the coleslaw for the family meals (we ordered an extra one). Thanks again and will definitely be back to try it again next time :)
Fish was fried well, good texture and consistency but it was way too battered for my taste. Perhaps would have been better if they fried the fish as one piece versus cutting it up and frying it separately.

Great ol Skool style fish and chips in Orangeville
Hahaha $54 for 1 poutine, 1 order of Halibut with fries and 1 just Halibut. Fries were under cooked and tasteles. Poutine was dry and the gravy I could find was also tasteless, maybe 3 pieces of cheese. Fish was mushy and very greasy. Absurd price for such low quality of food. We will never get food from here again. Waste of money and terrible food. Would never recommend. There is also no need to wrap food already in a container in a whole News paper. 1 piece of halibut all by itself is $18.25. Your restaurant is in Orangeville. Nowhere special. Clearly not fresh. Your Orangeville frozen fish is not worth $18.25. Disgusting.

Had the Haddock and chips order for 2 and battered mushrooms. Young female took my order was pleasant. Food was cooked in a decent amount of time wasnt a long wait. Only 2 people in the dinning area. Had take out. Food was nice and warm when arrived home fish was delicious the chips seemed a little undercooked but ok. I would try this place again yes.

Delicious and large quantity but very expensive. Ordered take out, 2 Halibut and fries and an order of battered mushrooms cost me $51 and it didn t even come with coleslaw or a pop.

Very disappointing. The fish is really just breading with wafer thin fish. Obviously trying to save as much money as possible and overcharge the customer. Will not be going back ever.

It is what it is....the best fish & chip spot close to home. Always consistently hot and always excellent quality and service. Nothing fancy but hey ! Especially love the Tartar Sauce. I stopped going to Uncle Harrys in Erin because Brian stopped offering his homemade Tartar Sauce. Parking: Small strip mall but always parking in front.
A very good fish & chips option in Orangeville. We had the haddock & chips and the food arrived in under 5 minutes. A spacious and bright dining room and excellent service. Washrooms were very clean.

Friends staff and yummy food
Looked online and read the menu from theyre FB account. Called and placed our order. When I arrived, the price was $12 more then anticipated. The people worked said they dont have a menu or any price posted on any website. I even showed them. They take no credit for anything posted on theyre account and I paid the new price. Service was sub-par and the meal itself wasnt worth the money I paid or anticipated paying. I will not be coming back here again.

Great fish and chips at a very reasonable price. Stopped in for lunch at Broadway Fish & Chips. Batter on the fish was just right and chips (fries) were amazing. Locally sourced potatoes and you can taste it. Will definitely be back again.

Haddock and fries for seniors already value. Fries are top notch and fish is well breaded and nicely fried.
Fish is amazing! Their batter is fresh and very light. French fries are ok- not burnt, but needs more salt. They do not make their own malt and vinegar or tartar sauce but gives you plenty of packets to go when requested :) They didnt pickup the phone when I tried to call ahead, maybe because I had an out of town number.

I came to this place many times for a Halibut and chips and the last couple of time the Halibut wasnt as good ..today was the worst Halibut and chips I every had ... the chips was dried out, wasnt freshly made and wasnt even hot. Went strait to the green bin.. The fish also wasnt as good since they just trying to make the fish pieces look bigger so the fish pieces just so much thinner easily dries out during frying , an other disappointing realization I got home and there wasnt any ketchup in the bag ... paying 40 dollars for this food was a wasted money .. I wont make that mistakes again .. I guess they dont care about the quality of the food anymore...very disappointed..

Very friendly staff, clean interior with safety protocols and contact tracing in place, prompt service, and excellent fish and chips. :D The fish portions were lightly battered and crisp; the chips are what chips are supposed to be -- light golden, crisp, and delicious! Familiarize yourself with their daily specials. Wish I had room to try their apple fritters with ice cream, but I couldnt finish my generous dinner.

Nicely portioned poke of chips, haddock was nicely cooked and not too greasy, halibut was a good size and was also cooked near perfection. Location has pleasant staff and clean surroundings, fish suppers were nicely wrapped in traditional newspaper. Overall a nice experience.

Nice, family owned, classic fish and chips, restaurant. We used to go all the time until they moved/changed owners, years ago; it is just not the same. The restaurant is clean, the food is okay and the service is prompt, it could use a bit of a decor update IMHO. Although there is nothing wrong with the restaurant/food/service, our default place for fish and chips has been the one on Townline ever since this restaurant moved/changed owners.

Ordered takeout by phone while I was twenty minutes away, and they would have been ready in ten if I hadnt suggested they wait a bit. We really enjoyed the fish. The family meal had ten pieces of thin, lightly battered fish. That worked for us. Tasty chips and cole slaw, too!
Under new management, owner is very nice and welcoming. Food is better and decor is updated, but the best thing I can report about this place is it used to have a smell under the last owners and no more smell! Only the smell of good fish and chips now, definitely check it out!

Used to drive from brampton to orangeville for fish (cooked perfectly, always fresh , not too wet and never over done) and chips (homemade) , great price , inhouse tarter sauce is to die for and to follow a deep fried mars bar.

*3.5* Went for dinner service around 5pm on a Friday. Overall experience and food was average. It s alright if you feel like fish and chips once and while. Service was fast and the staff are friendly and provided great customer service despite it getting busy. We ordered onion rings(really didn t get that many to make it worth the money),halibut (it was a decent size fish- average, not greasy, fairly tasty), chips - thick cut and hot. Side note- building was cold so we kept our jackets on and you pay at the front register once you get your bill.
Always busy, courteous and a clean atmosphere! Good everyday specials! Pick up or sit down meal for the fried fish lovers!!
