If I could give The Revival 10 stars I would! Everything about this bar is perfect from the atmosphere, to their menu, entertainment, and staff. Youre guaranteed a great night out when youre here. Hands down my favorite spot in the GTA.

This place deserves more than 5 stars! We live in Toronto but drive to Orangeville frequently mostly because of Revivals live bands, ambiance, specialty drinks and shareable apps. Keep it coming!!

Everything is best

Such a great venue tucked away in Orangeville. We travelled from Vaughan to visit a band that was playing here. The acoustics, service, ambiance and hospitality beat my expectations. Hoping to come back again soon.

Had an amazing time, absolutely loved the vibe of the whole place. Great place for a date night or group outing. There is a cover fee of $10 and the drinks and food are moderately priced. However they have a mandatory tip of 20% That they add to your bill which I didnt love, I always tip well but kind of gave me the ick that it was mandatory.. Overall a fun time out though!

Absolutely beautiful space, incredible cocktails and memorable concept. Everything was well executed. We went on a Friday night and there was live music which was an added bonus. Had the opportunity to meet the owners who were clearly very passionate about their work. Definitely worth checking out.

An incredible venue. I have been twice now, once a live band, 2nd time, comedy night. Both times were exceptional, with excellent food and cocktails. The owners have lovingly remodeled the space into an old fashioned speakeasy, with rich furniture, stained glass and a secret entrance. A location you will definitely go back to often.

Saw an amazing band called Your New Neighbors there last night and the place was rocking!

We dropped in for cocktails after dinner upstairs the drinks the atmosphere were on point. My wife is a non drinker and loved her Virgin Martinis we tried to replicate but she is illergic to the alcohol free gin we purchased we will ask the bartender next time we are in how she makes them .

What an amazing place that we are fortunate to have in Orangeville. Great, classy place that is a throwback to when cocktails lounges were luxurious. The cocktails are masterfully created and delicious. The food is so delicious and the service outstanding. They always have amazing bands or events happening there and the owners Mark and Ang really care about delivering an amazing customer experience. I have introduced many friends to Revival and often get requests to make reservations for our get togethers there. Words don t do Revival justice as this is truly a place that you need to experience first hand.

Just back from 1863 in Orangeville . Carolina at the bar was awesome , Elizabeth greeted me at the bookcase so cool . Jade the waitress was very nice .The crowd was rocking to the music . Special thanks to Michele I went to see if it was raining and did not realize they lock the doors like a private party . Great idea. But I was locked out cell on the bar lol . Michele came to my rescue thanks Michele . 5 star venue friendly staff and very nice friendly crowd. Love Ontario towns get in there people life to short to sit at home !! I ll be back . Our first time at the restaurant (late October) and we really enjoyed the food, drinks and service. The atmosphere was lively but still classy until a couple of inebriated women from a nearby booth decided to get up and dance right in front of our table. It went on for a couple of songs at which time we decided to give up on our special night and left. Too bad that this behavior was allowed to continue...the ladies in question were a little old for short skirts and fishnet stockings

Behind a false bookshelf, beneath an old train station turned gastropub is a time capsule preserving a moment in time infamously referred to as the roaring twenties. The low lit, brick walled basement, decorated with extravagant chandeliers is filled with the crooning of a smokey voiced jazz singer. The band plays on behind her. The music spills through the place as the waitstaff takes your order, dressed in costume true to a time long past. A time of prohibition and outlaws. Of jazz and bar raids and secret knocks. Of smugglers. Of gin and bourbon. Rum and whiskey. Blood and gunfire. The bar menu boasts modern riffs classic cocktails, deliciously crafted and presented in true depression era fashion. With all the glitz and glamour, too much for the 4 walls of this underground Speak Easy to contain.

Amazing place. Great food and beverages. Outstanding music. Although our experience with service wasnt great initially and I would have rated this place a 2 star but one of the owner really fixed it for us and provided great service. She was quick to understand that we were not happy with the service and took over the service herself. Great management showcased.

Our group of 4 all loved revival 1863 and its right in Orangeville!! Fantastic ambiance! Has a speakeasy vibe to it. Super cool spot. The service was amazing. Great drinks. I personally enjoyed their house white wine. Really light and smooth. The mixed drinks were a good pour and tasty. The decor and lighting is beautiful. The chairs were super comfortable to sit for the entire evening enjoying great live music. A real jewel of a place. Well be going back for sure!!!

Always an amazing time at Revival 1863! Love the prohibition vibe and attention to detail in this venue. Mark and Angela are such wonderful hosts. They always go the extra mile to make every visit so personable, ensuring everyone is having a good time and is taken care of. We had a large party celebrating a birthday in a full house last night and they didn t miss a beat. Food and drinks were amazing and the band was so much fun they had the place on their feet. If you are looking for a great night out with top notch service, atmosphere, entertainment, this is your place!

Amazing is an understatement. A beautiful hidden venue with friendly staff. The cocktails are truly divine! A very cool speakeasy that offers entertainment in addition to delicious share plates. THE PLACE to be in Orangeville...if you can find it ;)

Ill edit the review to answer the reply. The drag show was fantastic, we had a great experience. The issues were with the venue, the light flickering from stage right and the cutting in/out for audio from the same side took away from the experience. The cocktails were great but the plates were okay. Positive experience but those little hiccups brought it down from amazing to okay

this is one of the best bars I have ever been to. we came up from Toronto and Im planning routes to go back again.

This place is an experience, we went over late at night, knew it was there but didnt know exactly, no reservations, but they were accommodating. The door in is a hidden bookcase! How cool is that?! The room we entered is a beautiful lounge, everyone was well dressed, the waiters were crisp and professional. We had a few different drinks all of which were excellent, and we had a small smoked salmon canapé which was absolutely delicious. There was a live band playing which was awesome, although for that small a space I recommend you turn it down by 10% volume, but hey some like it loud. Its a place I would definitely recommend as a date night spot.

Very slow service took 30 mins just to get my drink order then waited for that for about 15 mins then waited another 30 mins to get my order of fries lol pretty sad experience to be honest ..place is nice but I won t come back .

This place is absolutely to die for! Wow! From entering the Joint via the secret door that appears out of a bookshelf on your way in that makes you feel like your in a spy movie or you re evading the police in the prohibition era to the very unique and ultra cool staff. Everyone has a personality and they throw the hottest party in town. The exquisite food and next level drinks and suburb. I recommend the ANNETTE KELLERMAN 20Z (House made blackberry infused Niagara Craft vodka, blue curaçao, peach schnapps, cranberry juice, grapefruit foam) It s ridiculoussssss! If you re a live music fan this is a destination to drive to. I don t care if you re from Toronto or down in Hamilton/Niagara area, do yourself a favour and visit this spot! #5star *****

I loved the venue, its beautiful! They have quite an extensive cocktail menu. We were there for the drag show which was a very busy night. Our server seemed extremely busy. Our service was a bit slow which is to be expected when youre at a table of 12, but I wasnt thrilled with the service at the end of the night. Server brought bills to part of our table but not the rest of our table. We tried to get his attention a couple of times since the show was ending, but he never really looked at us. He would come with bills but not the credit machine and then did that over and over again. Im not sure if maybe they dont have enough credit machines. If youre in a hurry to leave find a busy night at a big table, try to get your bill while in advance.

Revival is an amazing place. 4 of us went for the first time on a Saturday night and couldn t believe how amazing the vibe was. From the live music to amazing staff and cocktails we will be returning many more times. Thank you Angela for an amazing night I will be spreading the word about Revival!!

Such a fantastic time with great friends. The food was awesome The drinks were flowing and the Band (Gavin McLeod) was amazing. The ambiance of Revival is so beautiful a little rustic and so charming. Ang and Mark are wonderful and kind and alot of fun too. Highly reccomend this place for a great time or a special celebration!

Want to give this place a well deserved 5 star rating! We came for the live music (Larry Kurtz, who was great) but were pleasantly surprised and blown away by the venue itself. Richly appointed, lush decor, great sound system, and comfortable seating with good sightlines to the stage. And our dinner was exceptional (we both had the 8 oz. steak with blue cheese sauce but a lot of tasty alternatives on the menu as well!). Finally the service was warm, friendly and very attentive throughout the evening. We always love a trip to Orangeville but discovering this gem means we now have something more to look forward to!.

Went there on Saturday November 27. We went there to see Table 69 band which we already knew was amazing. But who knew this place was equally amazing!! From the decor, the service, the food, the great mixed drinks, the ambiance (and did I mention the great music??, lol) everything was impeccable. Our server did a fantastic job attending to us and ensuring everything was to our satisfaction. I look forward to coming here again real soon. Everyone had a fantastic time.

Amazing atmosphere, staff, and drink menu. We really enjoyed our appetizer too! Our server Ashley was super friendly and hospitable, and we spoke with Angela who was a very accomadating and lovely owner. The Pink Leather Jackets are always incredible entertainers, highly recommend them as well!

This is such an interesting place! If you are looking for a lounge atmosphere that is retro, live entertainment, good service, you should check it out!

Everything about this place is incredible. The food, the drinks, the service (Olivia), the decor, and the atmosphere were all exceptional. However, we arrived for our reservation at 7:30 and the seat fee for the live music was added to our bill -- which we knew about and were happy to be charged as we looked forward to the live music. We waited around until 10:15 and the live music had still not begun. It seemed as though this wasnt Revivals fault and that the band was running behind, but it didnt feel fair to have the seat charge on the bill since we didnt hear any live music at all. We still look forward to returning, and this small detail didnt greatly impact our otherwise great experience. Edit: Angela was very quick to respond to this feedback and was very accommodating to us the next time we went for dinner. We ve returned on multiple different occasions and the service, food, music and atmosphere have been nothing less than exceptional. Angela clearly goes out of her way to form connections with her customers and make their experience above and beyond. Can t recommend Revival enough.

This place is amazing!! My boyfriend and I were here this latest stormy Saturday evening, and I havent had such a lovely night out in longer than I can remember. They had live music (Frank Adriana Quartet with Natasha doing vocals) which was marvelous and everything we ordered was fantastic. We loved all our cocktails, the deep fried ravioli special and the build your own charcuterie board was so tasty. Service was stellar, classy, prompt and polite. Definitely check this place out if youre looking for somewhere special to spend an evening or are fond of quality, thought out cocktails. Ambiance is amazing and it was just a great place to spend a Saturday night.

Great ambiance. Live music was good. We have been a couple of times and food is way overpriced and is just okay. Nothing substantial to eat like no real meals. Charcuterie boards are scant and the bread is too hard to eat. I actually cut my gums on it. Better if they would do softer bread. Everything seems like little bits of snack food and the price really adds up.

This is my second time visiting and experiencing Revival 1863. I was there in the summer with friends and Manhattan experts, so we ordered not one, but two rounds of Manhattans. As a green horn I found the drink no where near to be close to the ones I tasted and the experts offered a thumbs down too! Dont know why, maybe for the love of the Manhattan we tried again and experienced another taste. Unfortunately it wasnt better. So if you are a real cocktail connoisseur, watch YouTube videos and make them at home. I was pulled along for a friends 50th birthday party last Saturday and the Aviator drink in the photo was lackluster. The food we ordered was far from being at all tasty and the overall prices for food and alcohol did not match the quality. So my 2 star comes for the decor... Great environment for Orangeville but please raise your game on food and beverage!

Revival is the coolest place I have ever had a drink! They had a comedy night (Yuk Yuks) that was fantastic and the Blues and Jazz nights cannot be missed

This is great! Reminds me of a nice European style-speakeasy.

I love this place, have been several times and bring different friends with us each time. Ryan is a terrific waiter, love the décor and the inventive drinks. We have all enjoyed the varied entertainment each time. My only suggestion would be to add some vegan options to the menu (spring rolls, vegan charcuterie, hummus and crostini, etc.) I have great recipes/sources if you need them. Cheers!
