Enjoyed the most incredible anniversary dinner last night! Big shoutout to our server Liam who was so attentive and genuine, we had just casually mentioned as we were getting seated that we were celebrating our anniversary and he was kind enough to remember that and surprise us with a happy anniversary on our dessert! Service and food is absolutely exceptional, can t wait to be back :)

Absolutely delicious!!! Great food great service!! Free parking. Started with x marks the spot cocktail, super yummy! Soup of the day was a fantastic parsnip, carrot, apple with walnuts!! Had the venison for my main and it was incredible, with just enough sides that I didnt need to order sides separately. Finally I had the coconut cream pie for dessert. WOW!! Hubs had the tuna stack, also delicious! Beef tagliatelle for main and cheesecake for dessert. So good. There were 4 of us and we all thoroughly enjoyed!!! We were reminded that another party had arrived for our table as we were advised that there was a 2 hour limit. We would have liked another 30 minutes but it was a Saturday night so understood. Free parking, easy to find. Spent just over $200 per person. Would definitely go back for a special occasion.

Lovely setting providing good service. The food was, by consensus, just okay. This was our second visit in two years, always prepared to give a second chance.The mediocre meal was consistent with the first visit.

I can t comment much on the food as we just had the fries. They were fantastic. I stopped in and had drinks at the bar with my friend. Every drink we had was delicious. The service was great. It was a great experience in the lounge, and not at all too loud as some of the previous reviews mentioned.

Phenomenal food quality and ambience - was not expecting that in Orangeville. Service was slightly slow but didnt take away from the overall experience.

Having an upscale restaurant in your backyard when you live in the country is pure joy. Love the ambience, service and choice of music. A few more vegetarian option would really up the game.

Wife and I came in on a Thursday at 7:30 it was steady but not overly Busy. Our Server was Beth (spoiler she is amazing). We got the Tuna tar tar with Parm fries to start and the Octopus and Lobster Risotto for mains. The food was fantastic very hard for us to pick a favourite. For Dessert we got a slice of the coconut cream pie (divine) Ultimately everything was fantastic and what orangeville needs for an upscale restaurant. Mind you it is pricey. We spent $355 for 2 cocktails, bottle of wine, sparkling water, 2apps,2mains,2desserts and 2 coffees. Thank you for taking great care of us and making a rare outing memorable. The food and atmosphere were great but the overall experience was marred by poor service, not befitting a this kind of dining establishment. I found our server to be patronizing in tone, but maybe worse, they just didn t hit the mark on the basics of their role, i.e. ensuring we had what we needed, wine ordered in advance was at the table alongside our meals, answering simple questions about the menu. Service would make me think twice about returning.

Greystone a absolutely beautiful place inside and out ....the best parking lot I have seen ....its ......restaurant is tastefully decorated and a decor that is relaxing.....lighting was not bright enough for us ,we dont have vision problems but reading the menu was VERY difficult.....no waiting for a table ,8 30 was our sitting but we waited quite a time before someone came to take the order....my husband ordered a appetizer which was a small finger bowl of different olives warmed up in a light oil ...simple but tasty.....he ordered a small pasta with lamb and veggies that was not El dente but he enjoyed the dish , I ordered a risotto with lobster and other ingredients.....amazing...light and tasting...not big enough ......the ppl that did come to our table were friendly and helpful but others who worked there - not even a smile ...or was it because lighting was so dim .....and thank God for glass particians between the main centre tables because our neighbors behind us were loud ...we could not have a conversation.......dessert was coconut cream pie .....DELISH !! Parking: Parking is small but the best parking lot I have ever seen

June 2024 update: Ive now been eating these burgers perhaps monthly for a couple of years. They continue to be the best burgers on the planet. Interestingly, though, they arent the best thing about Greystone. For whatever reason (Im guessing exceptional management) Greystone has the most consistent, incredibly excellent greeting and waitstaff. We were served last night by Tory, whom wed not previously met, and she was lovely. This place is truly exceptional. ___________________ Just had a medium-rare burger. It was, hands-down, the best restaurant burger Ive had in at least a decade. Service was great and I will look forward to returning. Returned two nights later to ensure I wasnt nuts. I wasnt. The burger was as good as I recalled, and the octopus app was excellent. This place is the real deal.

Across the board 5-stars! Everything, I mean everything from the staff, food, drinks, to the ambiance. The pride and care the team has in their work definitely shows. Side note: the washrooms were impeccably clean. Can t wait to be back :)

It is such a treat to have this world-class restaurant in our humble town of Orangeville. My wheelchair-bound husband and I relish every bite of what we order - the flavours are out of this world and no one compares or even comes close to the finesse of the taste sensations and freshness. There is pride of presentation in every dish and they are served by the most attentive attendants. We look forward to our monthly gastronomic experience here! Wheelchair accessibility: Easy to access the building - no problem in seating accommodations - the washroom facility is the best Ive seen - it should be an example to all businesses - easy and quick to get to with an elevator.

Great service from beginning to end. Our server Tyler was very knowledgeable and funny! The recommendations didn t disappoint! The pastas are amazing. Can t wait to return.

Our server Beth took great care of us today, answered our questions and helped with our choices. Every dish was flavoursome and cooked perfectly, and the simple birthday request for my partner was a classily done happy birthday written in chocolate on her dessert plate with a single candle. Simple and elegantly done, a perfect ending to a fantastic experience. Looking forward to returning in the summertime.

Much better food and pricing at other Orangeville restaurants. Premises are nice and that s why it is so expensive.

We did dine in two time first time just casual dinner and we have great time over their and the staff is so friendly help us with our order as we visited there first time and for Second time we visited-their for bdy party of one of my friend they have seprate guest lounge for that occasion at that day to we have best time

Dealing with dietary issue is hard enough to enjoy a night out, pre planned the recommended restaurant. Unfortunately they changed the menu and removed the items I was only able to eat without fear of suffering later. Wouldnt have mattered and could have left but it was for a anniversary so finding something else was not an option. The menu were limited and unappealing, unless your an alcoholic becaue they had 3 menus for drinks. There is 5 pasta dishes, all covered with creams and butters, and the steaks are way more expensive then the keg and smaller portions. They use montreal steak spice, so it wasnt anything that one couldnet have made at home.The portions are fit for a childs appetite. Fine dining? ya it was just fine. It didnt taste bad to be clear..... its just disappointing that dealing with medical issues and attempting to enjoy a night out was ruined with no alternatives unless I wanted to drop $60 on a 8oz steak that i could have made at home 4 times over is unfair. Happy anniversary, NOT.

Spectacular.

The restaurant is beautiful, tight menu with amazing food: the dishes were all well enjoyed: great flavour, presentation top notch. I had the Asian pork belly. Perfection with crispy skin, well seasoned adashi sauce and fresh greens. So why not 5 stars? The server clearly didn t like us. He was dry, curt and the conversation was only what was needed for service. At first I thought it was him, but noticed him joking and enthusiastically conversing with other tables. He doesn t have to like us but he does have to provide the same good service to everyone. The food was great, timing was perfect, but I won t return. Sorry we weren t your cup of tea. It was insulting to be treated differently. Luckily my very elderly in laws didn t notice and they had a good time.

The service has been exceptional every time I have been here. The food had a special taste, fresh and flavorful.

Adding pics of what we had this time Original April 2023: By far one of the best restaurants in the GTA. The food was incredibly delicious and flavours were well combined and thought out. The service was great, Madison was super nice. The ambience is very nice, especially being in the country. I highly recommend this place, it s worth the drive to Orangeville!

We went for dinner mid week and were very disappointed in the table service. What irked us was the waiter provided the cutlery directly on the table without a napkin to set them on. We expect the table was wiped clean but this initial action completely tainted the balance of the meal. The food was ok but below our expectations and disappointed.

Always a lovely experience, a favorite local spot. Dietary restrictions: I went with a friend once who had dietary restrictions, and they were very accommodating, and even came back twice to verify what he could and could not have, he thoroughly enjoyed his steak and it did not cause him any issues. Great food, Great Atmosphere, loved the whole vibe!

As far as dining in a small town goes, this is about the only place I can think of thats independent and serves a proper cocktail. (But I havent had coffee, I know there are other places.) A nice place to sit down and feel like youve driven the 70km to Toronto. A beautiful renovation to an Orangeville institution.

Noisy for eating in the bar section, very poor acoustics (glass, metal, no carpet) for a business trying to be upscale Maybe their designated dining room would be a better choice. Entrees we re good, not great. Service VERY good.

This is our spot - my man and I met here, and we come here on every special event we can think of. The food is the best I ve ever tasted. The wine is incredible. I get sad if it s been too long since I ve been here.

Food was ok, but nothing special. Service was great Atmosphere was kind of dull. Restaurant was pretty much empty but sat us at a table right next to another group. Food portions werent enough to fill you. Table of 4 drank a couple bottles of water waiting for our meal and that was $18 alone. I doubt we will be returning here. Drive 20 min and head to Mrs Mitchells Restaurant. Better food, better evening, better prices, always leave stuffed.

My husband made reservations weeks ago, at Greystones, in Orangeville. How have we not dined here until now? We had read so many articles three years ago when all of the excitement happened. Our dinner at Greystones was perfect. It surpassed our expectations in every way. We had: House Made Hummus: Warm artisanal sourdough baguette for two. Calamari: Piccolo fritto, scallion, celery hearts, togarashi mayonnaise, lemon. East Coast Halibut: Parmesan herb crust, wilted seasonal greens, roasted tomatoes, fennel beurre blanc. Grilled Ontario AAA Steaks: Whipped potatoes, sautéed mushrooms, French green beans, red wine jus. 10oz New York Striploin Coconut Cream Pie White chocolate shavings, dark chocolate sauce. Restaurants always undercook my husband s steak ALWAYS. We laugh about it every time. He orders it medium because it always comes out between rare and blue. His striploin came out perfect. My halibut was amazing. This may actually be my favourite fish dish of all time. That delicious parmesan crust and how the fish flaked when sliced - not slippery and gleaming like I usually like to see, but cooked through perfectly with the freshness being evident. That coconut cream pie is pretty famous around here. People buy whole pies and in multiples. I can see why. The filling is Heavenly. That layer of chantilly cream above the toasted coconut cream sent me to another place. I had never had Chantilly Cream whipped to this stiffness. It was brilliant! The flavour, presentation, room and service were all next level. Michael s execution for table service, was flawless! A true professional. He made our night out so special. Thank you.

I like Greystones. This was my third or fourth time visiting over the years. This was not the best visit. The beef was a little overcooked in my pasta and the coconut pie may have been close to its best before date. I would difently go back.

Really enjoyed this restaurant and looking forward to going back! Im not a vegetarian but loved their all veggie option in the mains, which was very yummy. Its just a nice change every now and again.

One of the best dine in experience we had in ages. I really love the indoor sitting, the staff is very generous, kind and helpful. They followed our request towards the veg meals, drinks and desserts. Anita the star of business served us in a very polite way. For sure this restaurant will be my permanent dinner spot for family and friends. The Bar manager Lindsay, what a wonderful welcoming personality made our day with little chat. We will plan our future events here with no doubt. Again, thanks a million for the great time. Vegetarian options: Lots of options, even on request they can make or change the toppings.

Historic building, Stylish interior, Exceptional service, Exquisite cuisine, there is nothing to add to make it better destination place. Everything about this restaurant is absolutely PERFECT.

This was not our first visit, but sadly a very disappointing one. My husbands first bite of his steak was gristle, and my halibut was ho hum. Not quite what we expected considering the price points. Our server abandoned us mid way through our meal, without informing us that someone else would be taking over. It was confusing when someone else seemed to want to see if we wanted a dessert, and then front of house staff gave us our bill. We did note that if you were a regular, you did get very attentive service however...

Great food and great wine list! Will be going back for sure!

Fantastic Calamari! Also had Braised short rib, Seafood and pasta, Tenderloin and pasta. All great. Had upside down cheesecake and carrot cake for dessert. Jay provided excellent well timed service.

My husband and I went to Greystones for a date night and it was absolutely spectacular. We were regular customers of the owners other restaurant in Glen Williams (Halton Hills) called Glen Tavern and they surely proved once again how impressive they are. First, the location is quaint, atmosphere is cosy and trendy with a really nice decor. It was a busy Friday night so be sure to make reservations in advance to be able to get a table. Our server was efficient and cordial. We had the tuna tartar and Romaine hearts to start with, then a really nice 2nd course of a truffled mushroom pasta. My husband got the lamb shank and I the seafood risotto and it was wonderful. Benn (owner) also suggested delicious wine selections to accompany our meal and everything was perfect! Greystones is really worth trying - you won t be disappointed!

Like so many if you can get a reservation book it! The food is divine and staff knowledgeable and engaging.

Just had dinner here for our anniversary. Amazing food. Had the hummus, Quebec chicken, beef short rib and coconut cream pie, 10/10 for everything. We ve been here a few times and every time it s been fantastic. The staff is also incredibly friendly. Highly recommend coming here if you re debating it. Parking: Two parking lots. Off Broadway and another off a side street.

Very very nice place! This place blew my expectations. Very nicely renovated and the service was spectacular. We ordered the tuna tartare, both got drinks, the burger and the Peppercorn Tagliatelle was so good! The burger was cooked medium, the fries were super flavourable and the pasta tastes fresh and homemade, light but creamy sauce and perfectly cooked beef tenderloin. I would for sure come back to this place and try other menu items.

Place is always super super good - food and ambience are the best in the area and better than most even in Toronto. If you want a nice night out, i highly recommend. I know inflation has impacted the industry, but the cost at greystones has increased significantly over the last couple years (since opening) and restricts most from going more often. I think lowering the prices (even slightly)and decreasing margins would drive higher revenue with total traffic. Overall a great place and i highly recommend

First time here, have to say this place is delicious. Started with the tuna tartar (amazing) Had 2 of the pasta s amazing!!!! The cheesecake for dessert to die for !!! The service hands down won me over For on the front desk to one of the hosts (Taya ) and our server Jay was seriously amazing. From a server perspective this place deserves a 10 star!! We will be back

I took my wife and two friends for dinner as a mothers day treat, they said the food and the place was great and it would be a place they would go back again, we were disappointed to see they charged $18 for 2 glasses of water I would strongly suggest not to take any water.

Ive been going to the cafe for god knows how long but the service gets worse by each visit. Today they had had 4 people inside working (hardly) mostly talking to each other, they dont even acknowledge you. Instead of the manager cleaning outside she should be managing her staff because theyre doing a horrible job. You get better service at McDonalds thats how down hill the cafe has got. That was my last and final visit.

My husband and I have been frequenting Greystones since shortly after they opened and it is by far our favourite restaurant to visit. The service is always so friendly and attentive. The quality of the food and drinks is some of the best - you can tell that fresh ingredients are always used. We can t say enough good things about it!

Just a tad outside of my comfort zone when it comes to an arbitrary budget, however the meals and service MORE than made up for it! My filet mignon easily made my top three ever list, and my girlfriend s salmon was amazing as well. Keep an eye out for Michael, it s like be served by your best friend! We will be back

Went there for dinner last night, party of 10. Our server Owen was excellent, very attentive and he knew the menu and ingredients very well. The food was out of this world. High quality and fresh. Highly recommend this Restaurant to anyone. Not cheap but worth every dollar. 5 star for food, ambiance and service.

Outstanding best restaurant in Orangeville by any standard of excellence

Food was great. Had a 50 dollar steak it was cooked to perfection but. There could have been more mashed potatoes and vegetables. Other than that it was fine. My wife had the chicken and was very happy...the server was very nice and friendly..

We had a delicious dinner, octopus appitizer, Quebec Chichen and Halibut for our two entrees and it was superb. Delicious cocktails too. But you pay big time for it. Definitely a special occasion place for the average person. Parking: The two lots they have are always full. Better off parking on Broadway and walk a few minutes

Celebrated my guy s birthday and this is a spot we kept meaning to try. We were not disappointed. Our amazing server, Owen, knew the menu and drinks inside out. His recommendations were spot on. Great food. Great atmosphere. And the food is totally worth every last dollar. You can tell the staff care for their clients and the quality of the food. I went to dinner here on a Saturday night for my fiancé s birthday and everything was phenomenal. The service the food as well as the atmosphere. Owen was our server and described everything perfect and gave amazing recommendations. Would definitely come back and let friends and family know about this experience as well.

Had such a great experience from start to finish from the reservation, greeting staff and I can t say enough about our server Maja! We had a 40th birthday party for my wife(party of 12). Maja was so professional and such a pleasure to have. She knew all the specials, answered all of our questions and few recommendations that normally a few of us wouldn t try but glad we did. This is hands down the best placed I ve eaten in a long time. Came here for my birthday. Stayed at the MillCroft Spa and Inn for a few days and decided to have my actual birthday dinner here since it was recommend rd by the locals. I didn t have crazy high expectation because it s such a small down but boy was I wrong. The atmosphere and food is amazing. Such a hidden gem in Orangeville. My boyfriend and I both got steaks.I got the 7oz Filet Mignon and he for the 10oz New York Strip. We also added a parmesan fries on the side which again delicious. We tried two speciality drinks X mark the spot and split personally they were nice and in house made by bartender. I preferred X mark the spot the best. Only con was reservation was booked as birthday, they acknowledge it was my birthday when I got there but I saw them do a birthday treat for the table across from me but not me. Not sure if it was because we were a party of two vs other table had 5 ppl. Was disappointed- everyone wants to feel special on their birthday but either way food made up for it. Would absolutely be going back.

Was looking for a new culinary experience and Greystone s was on point! Beautiful atmosphere, impeccable service, delicious salad and pasta dishes. Even though an hour drive away, we ll definitely be back to try more dishes.

The ambience here is great. The lounge area is one of the good ones I ve been to. The cocktails were good, food was delicious and service was on point. It s one of the hidden gems in Orangeville and will be our regular go to for the next while.

I love Greystones - the food is excellent and the restaurant is swoonworthy. Honestly, if I could move in, I would. Wheelchair accessibility: There is no threshold into the restaurant, but to the best of my knowledge the washrooms are down a flight of stairs in the basement. You may want to call and confirm that.

Ive enjoyed the food immensely. I only wish that: 1. You could bring back the rich desserts from last year (summer 2022). I cant recall the name, but it was a very tasty, rich, rectangular brick with some sort of custard/thick light-coloured sauce (sorry, I cant recall further details). I couldnt find it on the menu in summer 2023. Id love for it to return. There was also a vegetarian pasta dish last summer that I didnt find on the latest menu. 2.The high stool seats in the lounge and the bar stools arent very comfortable to sit. But thats all Ive been able to get as last minute reservations :) The food and the service are both great! :)

We were celebrating special events in our family. Great meal. Hannah was a top-notch server. It was a late night for our younger crowd.

Myself and fiance celebrated our 5 year anniversary and I was just a tad disappointed in our visit this time. We have gone here before and did have a great dinner and had a great server at that time. Unfortunately for this visit we both did not feel we had a great time Unfortunately due to atmosphere and service. The food was absolutely outstanding, but unfortunately the service just felt like they wanted us out as soon as possible. The server also seemed like they really did not want to take our orders and that if I had asked for something that it would have been an issue. The atmosphere also had made us feel very uncomfortable as well, including the fact that the service was very slow. I definitely recommend the food, but unfortunately to us the amount we paid for our experience was not worth it at all.

Finally had the chance to try this spot. What a beautiful experience it was. The drinks were phenomenal and the food was 10/10. Everything was fresh. Highly recommend it. Took these photos on my visit, can t wait to come back!

The atmosphere is very cozy, with nice design and intimate lighting. And, the staff are lovely and can help with the menu. The price is very reasonable too. If I lived in Orangeville I would definitely return regularly. Food

This was our first experience at Greystones. The food was so incredible. The venue was beautiful. Above all else, our server, Anita, was beyond a 10/10. She was observant, quick, helpful with our palette and made the experience the best I have ever had!

Food cooked nicely, and all had a nice taste! Our waitress was great, the hostess was great, and the other staff are still working on perfecting their service skills. Watch out for the $9 cost for a glass water. The creame brule has a nice taste, but the texture is a little less firm than is usual for custard. Overall it was a pleasant evening. If you have a full meal with an app, dessert and a drink, you will be spending about $85-$150 a person, approximately. I didnt have the steak, but I am told by others that it is the thing to order here... so I look forward to trying it on my next visit. Parking: There is a small parking lot, but it usually fills up. There is parking in the street nearby. Parking is free.

The peppercorn tagliatelle starts off nice, but gets a bit too rich and heavy. The steak was a tad bit too salty. Great place and will come again.

The food ordered was absolutely amazing. Our server was on top of his game and we had a fabulous meal for our anniversary. I only wish the menu had more options without seafood or tomatoes. I had 1 appetizer and steak to choose from.

First time at this restaurant and what a gem in Orangeville!!!! Such a gorgeous restaurant, exceptionally delicious food and fantastic service!!! Jay was our server and he was so pleasant and very informative. The best service we ve had in a very long time. The food was phenomenal. I can t begin to describe the fusion of incredible ingredients in your mouth. Wow, wow, wow!! First time but definitely not the last. Thank you so much

About everything you d expect from a fine dining place. Food was absolutely delicious I haven t had lamb this good in a while which was impressive considering every place does generally the same thing but not Greystones! Service was really friendly but our waitress was definitely overworked cause she was hustling & not very present but I like fewer touches at the table when I m eating so it didn t bother me. Drinks were good but I was expecting more. I also feel like a change of glasses would do your cocktails better & I forget the name but the side seasoning on one of the drinks all over the glass was more salty than spicy & just too much of it. All in all a fantastic time though.

Private party room. Lots of very well prepared foods that we cooked properly. Drinks were well mixed with a good quantity of cocktails. Band was too loud for the small room. I cant blame the restaurant for that.

This is a great place for classy and special occasions. You need a reservation as it is very popular. The food is excellent and the service was equally great. Our server, Owen, was attentive and pleasant and continuously checked on us to ensure satisfaction. We will definitely come again!

This is our go-to spot in Orangeville when we are celebrating anything. Beautiful decor; attentive service; exquisite food and great vibe. Can t say enough good things. We love it here!

This was a nice restaurant and the food was really good. Mushroom soup was amazing!! Everyone in our group was very happy with their meals. Good selection of local beers on tap as well.

Quality food but the quantity isn t there. Was celebrating a 30th birthday and got terrible service from the server we had. I made a comment about getting two spoons of potatoes on my plate and the answer was simply that s the way it is . Wasn t asked if we were celebrating anything which seemed to be the normal there. Overpriced for what it is. Noticed there s no effort in responding to google reviews of unhappy customers.

Went with a large group, I found it hard to get a drink refill and my meal didn t come out till after everyone else already had theirs and someone alerted the waiter mine was missing. Also maybe a baked potato with the steak instead of a tablespoon of that whipped stuff you called potato. Oh some other good stuff they re missing is bread,butter,salt,pepper.
