We love this place. We stop here often when we have to feed our large family in a hurry. Much healthier than burgers and pizza. The chicken and donair shawarma is delicious, I love the hummus and garlic sauce, and I cant stop eating the potatoes. My favorite topping is the pickled turnips, I always get extra. Thanks mahdia shwarma for feeding my family so many times when i was too tired to cook!

Stop here today at lunch and didnt know what to expect I was pleasantly surprised I ordered a chicken shwarma it was delicious chicken was tender and moist pita waa fresh veggies were crisp, I was served by the owner very pleasant gentlemen and he showed me he prepares his food fresh daily makes falafel as needed fresh I will most definitely go back and suggest my friends give it a try if they are un the area ....

Please do not go here. The shawarma tastes bland. They barely put any meat. Their portion sizes are smaller than osmows. They barely put rice. This place is terrible. Listen to the 1 star reviews not the 5 star ones. Made my sons stomach sick and he started to vomit.

Absolutely the best Shawarma I have had! The chicken was freshly cut off of the spit, the fillings were superb, and the serving size was generous the garlic sauce is a must I could barely finish eating a regular size! Anytime I am in the area and want to eat something healthy and delicious, I make a point of coming here!!!

This was not good food at all! The donair meat was floating in warm, greasy water and when it went on the pita, there was still water dripping from it. Ive had donair shawarmas before and this is the first time Ive seen it being served like this. It was bland, tasteless and I couldnt even finish half of it. The gentleman working there was very nice and chatty but sadly the food was horrible.

This is absolutely the best shawarma place I have been lately. I have had a falafel and chicken shawarma which was simply delicious. Besides the food, the place has nice ambience and people working there are very supportive as well as the service was fantastic. Highly recommended to give a visit and try out the food.

The standard of food has gone down a lot. Falafel was nothing like before. Shawarma was not good either.

I first came to the restaurant for a quick lunch a few months back and was glad I did. I purchased the the chicken dinner and was very satisfied. The overall taste of the spices and sauces they use are very flavourful. The portion size is filling even if you have a big appetite like myself. This is certainly my new go to place for lunch when I want something delicious to eat. I m certainly glad I found this hidden gem!

This was supposed to be Caesar salad.. came with beets, olives, ginger, pickles, peppers, barely any lettuce and no Caesar dressing in sight. Beef Kefta on fries.. umm okay. That was a piece of shoe leather so tough and dry I could barely chew it and soggy cold fries doused in a garlic sauce. I barely write reviews but this was NOT a good experience at all. Do not recommend, this was inedible. They also seemingly serve PUBIC HAIR as featured on top of the salad when I was throwing it all out

My review is for when the original owners were there. Since I moved here from Montreal close to 4 years ago, I have not had a good Shish Taouk plate (aka shawarma) until I tried this place last weekend. I have tried another establishment in Orangeville and as well as others in Brampton and Miss. and they were disappointing. Generous portions and very tasty. The cashier is very friendly.

Saw the donair meat on the spit through the window and was excited to have a traditional donair. When I ordered it, they pulled the meat from a pan of warm, greasy water that had soaked in there for who knows how long. Just a wet, sloppy mess that tasted bad. So disappointing. Worst donair I ve ever had.

Had a chicken shawarma plate and it was yummy. The tomatoes where a little green and the Chicken had hard pieces because the edges where burnt. Iy still tasted good.

Tried chicken donair shawarma, not a great tasting wrap. I wish i could have tried only chicken. There was something off about donair taste. Oh the garlic sauce, your will urge to brush after eating this. Salads were also not very good, Fried potatoes were somewhat acceptable. Not trying again

When this place opened, it was the best shawarma I ever had. Now, its just tired and the service is slow. They used to cut the chicken right off the spit, juicy and flavourful. Now it sits for lord knows how long in a metal bin. I have had to walk out because they have only one person working and it takes them forever to serve people. Food itself is okay, but portions and quality have come way down in my opinion. Today was likely my last visit.

They ran out of chicken instead of shaving more they charged me full price for a half sized wrap

Very disappointed Was recommended by friends who said portions were huge and food was great. Got the large platter for takeout - almost $20. Planned to share but the portion was what I would have expected in a regular. Toppings were stingy, (no parsley???) We actually asked part way through to confirm she was making a large platter. Thought i give this place a try and after we ordered the food and mid way through we realized that there was a lady bug in the food. I notified the person that was behind the register and showed her the bug and all she did was deny that it was her fault and insisted that they wash the lettuce. I was only looking for a simple apology but rather than apologizing she was giving me attitude and provided various scenarios/excuses of how a ladybug ended up in the salad The quality of food is also very poor for the price they charge. I definetly will not be returning and don t recommend this place whatsoever.

Lamb tastes like playdoh, took one bite and had to stop

The chicken was burnt on the outside to a crisp. They need to pay more attention to cooking the chicken. Maybe thats why their was only one person eating here unlike osmos where its always packed

I love shawarma, and someone had recommended Mahdia Shawarma to me, as I am new to Orangeville. It was a very bad experience. We were looking forward to some really good shawarma, so we ordered both rolls and platter for our family. No one enjoyed the taste of the shawarma, it tasted as if it was filled with old meat. Im so disappointed that we wasted our money on this. I would never recommend this place to anyone.

This place is awesome and amazing! They went totally above and beyond for my birthday party platters! Amazing food! Phenomenal value! Everyone at my birthday party loved the food and asked where we got it!

Quaint place, clean, bathrooms on site. Orderd 3 meals from here, Two Wraps and a Dinner. All the food was great, meat was juicy and tender. Reasonably priced for the serving sizes. Definitely recommend!

Good quality and quantity

I was working in Orangeville and stopped here for lunch. It was the worst shawarma Ive ever had. It was very sour. Vegetables werent fresh. My other colleagues felt the same way.

Worst place to eat. I got regular gyro plate and whatever they put in it nothing is fresh. The Garlic Potato s was unbeatable, some over cooked and some under cooked. The Gyro was a mess. They keep them in the water didn t understand why? Don t taste anything. Never saw Gyro Serving like that. The rice was ok. The portions was too small, you can count everything. For $14 Not worth, not going back there again in my life!

This was my go to place for falafal wrap up until 2021 when quality control stopped. The owners are away and the workers just make the worst lumpy falafel and compared to the completion I paid an additional 20% more for what is pretty well the same meal.

My rating is for the food quality, not the staff who served us. The two female staff were very friendly and helpful. The food however was not quality at all. Gravy on the poutine was cold and didn t melt the cheese curds, kefta had a weird taste and so salty shawarma chicken and the gyros was bland. Also had a fattoush salad that not a proper fattoush salad however it was the most edible meal on the table. Wouldn t go back.

Last two times I have in I have been asked to wait. First time was about 15 minutes while lady dealt with business issue. I was patient as she alone. Today I went in, was the only person there. I started to order and a skip the dishes driver came in. She asked me to wait because the order was not ready for the skip driver. Then she started my order again and had to go to the back to answer a knock at the door. It took almost 1/2 hour to get a salad. I get we all need to be more patient in these times but that is twice now I have used my entire lunch break waiting for her to deal with other things. Also, seems kinda dirty in there now and food is not nearly as good as it used to be. I will not be going back.

Before two days,I visited the orangeville for the first time . I was hungry .so, I went to this place.I tried Chicken on the rocks of this excellent place... That was amazing..The ladies working there were very polite .They served us very nicely...I recommend everyone to visit this place and have a very amazing and testy cuisines......

I love the Shawarma here, but second time this month I ve swung by and it s closed when Google and the sign on the door says they re open I watched a few people drive up and leave while writing this.

A few back experiences over the last while. I gave them another chance and they still let us down. Wraps were a mess and fries were very dark and hard from refrying many times. They have gotten really bad over the last bit. Too bad

Watched my order being put together, from behind a plexiglass screen I was wearing a mask. The line cook was wearing his mask BUT under HIS CHIN !! He was wearing one glove but using both hands to stuff my wrap! His assistant was wearing her mask BELOW HER NOSE ! This is evident of the lack of covid-19 responsibility and shear lack of respect for their customers. I refused to take my order and told them why. They were exhaling directly onto my food ! This will be reported to our WDGPH unit immediately.

Last time i ate here was last year and it was pretty flavourful from what i remember. However, I went here recently after a year to get a large chicken shawarma wrap. They used cut up chicken shawarma in a lid lock tray that they put in the wrap. From what i remember getting it last year, i would see them actually carve hot fresh shawarma off the vertical rotisserie or spit for my wrap. Well anyways, the employee ripped up the pita wrap while rolling my wrap which i am not going to be too critical about. I mean i would rip up the wrap too if i was in the workers shoes lol its hard to wrap it especially when theres a lot of ingredients in the wrap. As a result, they had to put a second pita around my wrap. What was most disappointing was the chicken shawarma. It was very hard, dry, and plain. It didnt compare to the wrap i got 1 - 1.5 year ago from madhia. I dont know if i would go back again.

The best shawarma is town. They make it how you like it in front of you. Fresh ingredients, large servings and friendly staff. This place doesn t disappoint.

What a little treasure! Ordered the chicken on the rock (chicken and rice) and the sauces were amazing! I got the spicy garlic sauce, tahini and hot sauce and the hot sauce was amazing. The lady was very kind. It was hard to hear due to loud background sounds, but other than that it was very pleasant experience. Chicken was well seasoned but a little dry. The rice was very flavourful. I would definitely visit again. It would have been 5 stars if the chicken was freshly cut from the vertical spit so its more juicy.

Never return. Chicken is served from a tray and is extremely dry and taste not anywhere near like a shawarma. Rice and veggies were good.

The customer service is great. Unfortunately the food has changed since the new owners. The garlic sauce is way too garlicky now and the meat is super dry. Not happy with quality compared to original owners.

There s a very big difference in the way the food was served portion wise and in freshness before these newer owners who have been there for about 2 years are serving. Food portions have been cut down tremendously and potatoes are being served stale.They barely give you potatoes, rice, and chicken. The potatoes and rice are the cheapest food supply to have on hand and serve customers as a side. What s going on Mahdia Shawarma? When charging customers $14.50 to have a shawarma plate, you should be make it worth people s money to eat there and serve fresh food. Being greedy and holding back on freshness and portion will affect your business in the long run. Good luck.

Awesome chicken souvlaki. The wrap was delicious! Samosa was full of flavor as well. Friendly, helpful staff. They let me sample the suicide sauce before putting it on my wrap. Thats always helpful before running your wrap because you dont know what the sauce tastes like. Great food. Great staff. Welcoming atmosphere. I would definitely recommend this restaurant, and will be visiting this place again myself.

Gigantic wraps with tons of yummy toppings. Owned by a very nice local family. This place sometimes has a bit of a line up but trust me it is worth the wait!

Rice was stale and chicken was dry. Sauces were not flavourful.

I don t know if the owner sold their business to some else but normally I order family pack of chicken shawarma with extra pitas for $ 51.18 with tax but now when I go home I got less chicken. Because there would normally be more chicken I would always order more of the pita wrap, the portion sizes of the food is not the same and is not enough. I don t recommend eating here or take out.
