Weve been coming here for years and it is by far one of the best restaurants in the Orangeville area! I particularly love the curried chicken roti :)

The food was delicious, well worth the price. There are options that aren t spicy and hot sauce is provided to give it that great kick. Would highly recommend and everyone and the family running the restaurant is so caring!!!

Although Ive only had the roti here it is excellent. The only thing better is the customer service, they are really great here and make you feel very welcome!!!

The best roti. Period. Great portion sizes, a single roti can easily be two meals. Chicken, goat, oxtail, everything is delicious. The staff are always friendly and the restaurant is always clean. We normally just get takeout since we usually have leftovers but there is seating if you want to dine in. Weve been eating Mrs Ds amazing food for over 10 years. We will continue to be loyal customers as long as we live in the area. Never once had a bad meal from this restaurant. Parking: Ample parking

Everytime I come its always amazing tasting and not only do they get it right every time but its always the best tasting. If you can find better Rotis its probably not in Ontario. They have the crown here

I absolutely love this place, and have had a few different items from their menu and all get high marks. Atmosphere? Its a between a gas station and a lube stop and it does takeout only. Fine by me, it feels more like street food that way. Food? Now were talking - as authentic and full of flavor as you can get. Her hot sauce is bloody superb with balanced heat (lots of it) and flavor (lots of it). Service? As warm and friendly as the food.

I went today for the first time with my boyfriend and it was amazing! I got the boneless chicken roti and he got the oxtail meal and we were very impressed. The food tastes so good, the service was amazing and fairly quick as well! Would highly recommended for local roti :)

Mrs. D Is a must-have any time were driving through Orangeville. Great service, great food, great selection. What more could you ask for? I appreciate that they give me proper spicy when I ask and not white-boy spicy. Great goat, poulouries, great dahl puri. I love it there.

I popped into this place on a whim and there was a father and daughter picking up an order. I said to the staff that it was my first time there, and the father and daughter both piped in and said it is your first time, but it wont be your last! They were right. I have been back several times and always happy with the friendly service and good food.

Was told about Mrs.D by a coworker who raves about this place, so I decided to give it a shot. Ordered the OX Tail meal which to me the meat was over cooked and extremely tough, peas and rice were very tasty with just the right amount of spice. I will give it another shot just incase my experience was a one off. Great Caribbean menu, give them a try and form your own opinion. Cheers

It ensures a swift in-and-out process, The service behind the counter is always accompanied by warm pleasantries, Mrs. D s has truly perfected the art of not just serving exceptional food but also providing a friendly service that keeps me coming back month after month. Also, The roti is economical given its Huge!, I make two nights of dinners out of it!

It was the best tasty beef patty Ive had. They have an amazing patty called the power patty that I highly recommend . Whenever Im in the area, its a must grab for me.

I always go to Torontos best roto ISLAND ROTI. This all veggie Roti costs $ 7.50 as of 4/15/22. Mrs.Ds on the other hand just cost me $$17.50 for the same thing -- what gives?!

I recently moved from Brampton and was so sad to lose to my favourite go to roti shop. Happened across Mrs. D by chance, thought I d check it out. She did not disappoint!! Wow after a long time got to eat roti meat and oxtail.Some dishes that I had while in NY once again came to life.

Only the jerk chicken is good rest have no flavor (ox tail), goat curry was mad salty no flavor.

Went here for the first time, I got pastries, OMG there were delicious. The pine tart filling is perfect and the pastry is soft, the look and smell reminded me of Guyana. They were very friendly. I didnt get food but after having the pastries I know the food is good. Well done guys! Dont change your recipe for pastry

Ordered oxtail... full of pepper !!! Worst tasting oxtail and rice and peas I ve ever had In my life and I m not exaggerating. Since when do you order oxtail and it s spicy without you asking for it to be. I m Jamaican and never experienced such. I threw my food out. Im assuming the positive reviews are due to the location of this restaurant. If this was in Toronto, Mississauga or Brampton the reviews would be negative. The server was nice But, it s not enough to have me come back.

I live in Guelph and my husband and I were in the Orangeville are for lunch. I had the goat roti and husband had the jerk roti.. Best Goat roti Ive had since I lived in Toronto 10 years ago. Possibly he best Ive ever had. Had a bite of the husbands. It was very good - but I still prefered mine. This will be a place to stop when passing through from now on! Thanks Mrs Ds :)

Saw this restaurant while going to Orangeville. After looking at the reviews I decided to try it out. I bought the boneless chicken roti and it was good. I got doubles as well they were ok. From the other reviews I gather that people are comparing these doubles to what you would get at other Caribbean restaurants in the city. Where typically the bread is thinner and has a saucy channa but this bread is thicker and the channa is not as saucy. In all I wouldnt say they are bad just made differently.

I bought a jerk chicken meal and it was terrible felt like the jerk chicken was seating for days and the warmed it up same for the rice and peas .. Very bad

Im new to town and we decided to try this place based on the reviews. We ordered a number of items: the jerk chicken meal, jerk chicken roti, curry chicken roti, ane the curry goat meal. It may have been an off day, or wrong time of the day, but I found it all very salty and the chicken was dry. I think Ill try the other places before coming back.

The best roti I have had in ages - would make the drive from Guelph to Orangeville just for these!!

I ordered a jerk chicken meal and some doubles from this place once. The doubles we OK, but the chicken and rice and peas were somewhat disappointing. Chicken looked and tasted stewed rather than grilled, and rice just didnt taste right at all. It didnt taste off, just not what youd normally expect this dish to taste like. I guess this place would still be OK for a quick lunch stop, but if youre really craving good Carribean food, youd be better off going elsewhere.

I ve had the roti a few times, always took a few extra to freeze at home. Tried the doubles this time and roti is good, but the doubles are even better. They are the fluffiest, softest doubles ever with a filling that is flavourful without making me breathe fire (I asked for it to be mild). I d also like to mention, all the food is so very neatly packaged. Nothing spills or leaks which is a big plus in my book.

Great quality Caribbean food, definitely try it out. I had the Chicken roti and beef patties and they both tasted good. The Chicken roti looked smaller than most places, but it was still reaaaally filling. Looks can be deceiving when it comes to roti.

Excellent Caribbean food in a plaza in Orangeville Ontario! Ive had roti in Port of Spain in Trinidad and Mrs. Ds are the real deal. Her homemade patties and Jerk chicken are excellent as well. If you love authentic Caribbean food you have to try Mrs. Ds.

Had the jerk chicken meal which was spicy and flavorful. The chicken was a bit dry though. If youre out in the Orangeville area and crave Caribbean food, this place is probably your only choice, and you wont be disappointed.

My friend and I went to Mrs D.s on Friday for lunch and I must say that this was the best Roti I have ever had North of the city! What made it so special was not only the tasty shrimp roti we had with all the slow cooked, home made goodness on a cold winters day, but also the warmth and attention from Mrs. D herself, who is from Guyana and clearly enjoys serving her customers and making them feel welcome start to finish! BTW This is tucked behind the brand new Esso station on the East side of Hwy 10 in Orangeville, so for all you hungry travelers heading to the cottage looking for a home cooked meal, stop in, you can thank me later! Thanks again Mrs D, well be back soon!

My wife and I had the opportunity to eat at this hidden gem on the weekend. I had the goat roti which was fantastic and she had the jerk chicken dinner which she loved. Their home made pepper sauce is wicked hot which I love. Staff was also very kind and made sure we were taken care of.

Just had the shrimp curry - delicious, fresh and hot. The food stays hot so you know its not microwaved. The medium was good for lunch. I will go back for sure.

Absolutely amazing! Haven t had such an amazing roti in so long! I got the goat roti for lunch and it was honestly cooked to perfection. The meat was so tender and the married flavours hit your palette immediately! Perfect level of spice, but you can always get more. Mrs. D definitely knows what she s doing! I would highly recommend anyone in the area or if your passing through make sure you stop here, it s a must! It was so good I went back the same day and grabbed dinner to bring back home!

Love this place. Its literally attached to a gas station. But the pride and care the proprietor takes with the food being served shines through. There are other Roti places in the area, but they are poor quality compared to Mrs. D!

Very good Caribbean food. We had jerk chicken and roti. The portion size was a little smaller than we normally get (at other Caribbean restaurants) but the quality was definitely there. We will certainly go back whenever were in the area.

Finally found a spot to get amazing west Indian food! Mrs. And Mr. D are total sweethearts. Great people and even better food. After moving from Toronto 3 years ago, I did not think I could find decent roti in the Caledon area. I was so wrong, hit the roti jackpot!!! Patties, curry chicken roti, pholourie, doubles and the hot sauce better than Scarborough or Toronto!

Don t be fooled by the location, this roti shop is great quality for a good price. Their roti is fresh, hot, and beautifully seasoned! Bought a bottle of their homemade hot sauce and I ve been putting it on everything. A bit of sweet with a lot of spice! The gentleman who served me was so pleasant and welcoming and funny too! I will definitely be making Mrs. D my go-to for an indulgent meal!
