Tomahawk grill - Orford in Orford

You can have dinner in the main dining room or in the bar area. The dining room is quite loud so we ate in the quieter bar area. The atmosphere in both is very nice with windows on 2 walls. The food is excellent; we both had the Mediterranean chicken, served with a delicious rice pilaf & roasted vegetables. You can buy wine by the glass. The service was a bit slow but very friendly & professional.

We were 3 people Arrived at 6 p.m. (it wasn t rush time yet) Around 6:30 p.m. we were able to place our order 2 cream of cauliflower (dubarry soup) and a Bangkok shrimp We took a Burgundy Aligoté (white) and had to ask 3 times for a bucket of ice, the bottle was almost empty when we got it Around 7:30 p.m. I asked the waiter if we had gone fishing for shrimp because 1 hour later I hadnt had them even though my guests had already finished their starters. The waiter went to check and told me that they had forgotten them (double mistake in the kitchen who did not honor the order and the waiter who did not react knowing that there were 3 starters ordered As they say the server should have [turned on] He told me he was in the juice On its section 4 tables occupied at this time The main course was ok We would have had another bottle and dessert but this situation really took away our desire. So really very disappointed and I, as head chef and catering director, think that there should have been someone responsible on site to inquire about customer opinions. And especially at the price of the dishes, very expensive Sorry for this comment but it had to be put so that there could be adjustments

Good food, adding the offering of real espresso or latte is a nice upgrade for brunch. The service in December was higher than that received at the start of 2024.

The brunch buffet was superb, the dinner too... except for a pasta and seafood dish... I refused the first course, a mussel shell was shattered, probably contaminated. I was offered another dish, I accepted but without mussels and no more shrimp. Quickly replaced, but I seemed to detect a funny taste, even though I ate it thinking I was imagining it. But I wake up at midnight, stomach ache, nausea, vomit, thinking of going to the emergency room, but saved by a recipe for essential oils in warm water swallowed... and almost didnt sleep all night. My wife thought that I was going to die Forty years earlier, I had a similar experience. No more seafood in a restaurant for me!!

Tasty starters and meals. Warm welcome from the waitress. Only downside, singers present (very good) but we cant hear ourselves spoken because of the noise, we went to have coffee/dessert elsewhere to be quiet. I think its a shame, because its a good quality, expensive steak house restaurant, which lends itself well to a quiet meal for two. Had been before and it wasnt like this.

Honestly for the price we paid. Its not famous. The atmosphere was fine, the place was clean and the music was good. The servers were also nice. Expected time was one hour for food. We ordered the grill mix, there was barely any seasoning in the steak and fish. It looks like they were cooked without adding any salt and pepper. The shrimp was okay, but a little too fatty in the sauce. The budget was more focused on representation than taste. Once there, the St-Hubert located 3 minutes from the hotel is better for lower prices. My boyfriend had to go buy food from St Hubert the next day to compensate for the lack of taste in this restaurant.

So disappointed...this was my 2nd visit and probably the last in the dining room. The starters and soups are stunning; at the bistro bar its fantastic. The steaks disappointed both times but yesterday it was the pinnacle of anything. We received our order in 10 minutes if not less for a rare steak which was blue and the outside was dry, vegetables so cooked it was inedible and a rack of raised sides served with coleslaw juice . The restaurant manager came by asking us if everything was to our liking.... making me look at me as if I was saying something; She sent us 2 coleslaws, we only needed one and she never came back to see us. She offers us a dessert, crème brûlée which had to be torched in the afternoon... it was cold and took twice as long as the main meal to be served.

We loved eating at the Tomahawk Grill which is the restaurant of the Estrimont hotel in Orford, where we stayed for a night with our sweet dog. So last night, after a melting brie cheese flambéed strongly in front of us, accompanied by an onion soup that I shouldnt have had given the land and sea platter that awaited us. Then this famous platter with steak, leaven side, salmon, shrimp, sausages, fries, grilled vegetables, garnished potato etc. It was incredible and I accompanied it with an interesting bottle of red wine. Our dog was with us in the bar section. Because he had no right to stay alone in the room. It was funny to be dressed chic at the restaurant and have him there! So he had his share too! We will come back for sure!

We liked the atmosphere. On the other hand, we would have liked our request made when booking online (to see the singer at our table) to be respected. We couldnt see it at all. Also, we found the value for money to be disappointing. Our bill of $250 was not at all representative of what we ate.: we left the restaurant disappointed. Filet mignon skewer for $45 with folded pieces of meat and not cubes. Sticky rice that tasted a lot like rosemary (or other spices). No placemats or tablecloth on the table, table glued to the neighboring table so there is no privacy to discuss personal subjects. We will not return there and will not recommend it to our friends. There was a singer who set the mood in the adjacent bar section. Quite the same repertoire both evenings: rock/pop. Mention also to the bartender who also gave us excellent service despite the fact that the bar had just opened and was in progress. Congratulations to the service team, because all the employees met were very professional!

The service was very good, the waitress very nice. The atmosphere was good, although the singers music was a little too loud for my taste for this type of restaurant. It wasnt our first time and I admit that I found the food not as good as I remembered. My onion soup had a bit of a rancid taste, I think it came from the croutons used. Well, if it wasnt that, I dont know where that strange little taste came from. My boyfriend had the salmon tartare as a starter and loved it. I had it as a main course and mine was way too salty. The flank steak was good, well cooked. On the other hand, the pudding chômeur for dessert is not one. It looks like angel food cake with maple syrup. Its not bad but its not an unemployed pudding.

A little complicated to have information or suggestions for the wine (the lady had to taste it in front of us) The singer who was at the bar was disturbing and bad, which spoiled the peaceful dining experience that made your establishment famous. In addition, dogs are not allowed in the restaurant in the evening but in the morning at brunch yes???? And the service in the morning was non-existent. No coffee served and we had to ask for the bill.

A bit bitter from the dining experience. The starters were excellent: melting brie, beetroot salad and Caesar salad with a little something extra. My daughters plate, the chicken was very good. However, three of us took the Terre et Mer plate to share what a disappointment. Cold fries, very salty pepper sauce. For the grilled and steamed vegetables, phew... They hung on the tray, so much so that they were cooked (bottom of the cauldron perhaps). For the meat, the salmon was overcooked and the piece of meat, requested rare, was well cooked, more gray than pink. I have the impression that we were served the end of the service. It was fortunate that the singer was entertaining.

The service was excellent but the dinner food disappointed me a little. The cooked to perfection fried squid was overcooked, there wasnt much of it and some pieces had too much batter. I should have had the fondant brie. The Terre sharing plate was good however the raised sides lacked flavor and the sausage was dry and tasted burnt/reheated. The lunch/buffet was excellent, however! Once again the service was impeccable.

Hello, reservation for 6:30 p.m., our meal arrived for 8:20 p.m. The dish was cold, the salad was shabby, the waitress was overwhelmed... and the bill was beyond steep!!!

High-end taste experience with the land & sea platter, impeccable cooking and the Bangkok shrimp were among the best we have eaten. Reading the other comments, we may have had a good evening, but in any case I would take the set again without hesitation. The service started well but unfortunately towards the end of the meal we had to wait a long time between each step because our waitress disappeared from the floor, which delayed our departure unnecessarily. Otherwise, the atmosphere was pleasant, we always have a good time at the Tomahawk grill!

The bands music was too intense, too loud for dinner time. This type of music is ideal for an evening but not for a dinner where you can no longer hear yourself talking! The Moules Marinières were not Moules Marinières, no white wine in the broth , but a big soup broth with an excess of celery which overpowers the taste of the mussels!!!! Moules marinière are only mussels sautéed in butter with shallots, garlic, onion, parsley and white wine.... And we collect the cooking juices to water the mussels! Disappointed by the dish and the atmosphere but the service was great though

We had dinner two evenings at the Tomahawk grill during our stay in Estrimont! Excellent service both evenings. The waiters and waitresses are courteous and attentive. The first evening we ate the legendary Tomahawk plate! The meat was delicious and well cooked! The extremely generous portion! The accompaniments are excellent! The second evening we had the land and sea plate and once again a great variety of products, everything was absolutely exquisite. To finish it off, a crème brûlée to take to our room! Super nice wine list for wine lovers! Good value for money! I highly recommend!

Very nice buffet for the Sunday brunch. I recommand to go. The staff is also very nice. The room is just not up to date and getting old. The tables are cheap furniture. Very disappointed with my dinner, I went there for the beef steak au jus announced at the hotel reception, and it seems that the chef does not know what a beef steak au jus is since we had a overcooked slice of beef that looked more like a boot sole. Fortunately, the baked potato was excellent. And if at least the fried squid as a starter had been up to par, not even that. Special mention to our waitress who went out of her way to make us swallow all this. And to think that we booked a suite at the hotel so that we could enjoy a good meal there. Overall ok. We went for dinner while staying at the resort. The service was excellent and very friendly and fast. The meal itself though was average. I had the filet mignon with a garnished baked potato and seasonal vegetables. The potato was lightly garnished I d say, not worth the $7 extra. Steak was cooked well in the middle but the edges were dry. These are nit picking things but for the price, you kind of expect more.

My family and I had dinner at this restaurant and received very poor service from the waitress. The waiting time was really long, but the worst part was that we all had stomach aches during the night and the next day. This is not normal, especially for a meal that cost us over $500. The prices are very high for the quality and quantity offered. $500 thrown in the trash. We are very disappointed!!!!!!! and I absolutely do not recommend this place.!!!!!!!!!

Our server Étienne was very friendly, however I found the salmon tartare a little too spicy and the air conditioning was a little too low.

The meal of excellent flank steak with confit garlic that I tasted for the first time yum our server gave very good service.

I went to eat with my father and very disappointing. The service was very long and I know that the waitress was doing her best but above all the meal was not up to par, my flank steak was overcooked and the sauce was too peppery and my husband had a skewer with uneven cooking.

We went to this place for my fathers 70th. I had planned everything months in advance by purchasing a Boxing Day package which came with free drink coupons etc. So we started with a cocktail, which, once the bill arrived, we realized was not included in the freebies. The empty glasses of these cocktails remained on the table throughout our meal. We asked to see the wine list, but had to go get it since no one came by after 15 minutes. The restaurant was quite empty, and the employees were talking together in the entrance.

We went to eat at Tomahawk Grill twice, for dinner and the next day for lunch. Nothing to say about dinner, we had an excellent experience. Where it gets tough is at lunch a buffet at $28 per person for overcooked scrambled eggs, potatoes, sausages and bacon (nothing extravagant, no pancakes or waffles) at this price, I could have had eggs benedict with smoked salmon elsewhere the price is not displayed anywhere!! Neither on the site, if in the dining room and there are no menus either. Dont make the same mistake as us, go eat in a better lunch place that will cost you less for better value for money.
