Discovered this market in 2011 and haven't looked back! An unforgettable market. One of a kind charm, with baked goods, incredible sandwhiches, desserts, hot beverages, local art, and plenty of gifts. This is the kinda spot you return to time and time again. A spot to be enjoyed in Orillia.

Such a cute place and definitely worth the visit if you're in the area! They have a beautiful selection of cakes, pastries (both sweet and savory), donuts, and more! Great selection of gifts as well... Perfect for holiday shopping! There is also a space towards the back to sit in and eat.

Cool market / cafe with lots of tasty food and useful items you can buy for yourself or as a gift for someone. Awesome atmosphere! I had the baked ham and cheese sandwich, which I found a bit bland and kind of mushy on the inside a bit, but the other food items were good. Lots of sweets and preserves to choose from.

2024 September 3.5★ Overall a pleasantly appealing place to stop by, eat, and mingle. With two floors of seating, this place serves the typical food that you're looking for: Soups, wraps, sandwiches, donuts, cakes and sweets. There's also fudge downstairs amongst the merchandise. Frozen foods (meat pies, ice cream, etc.) up at front. Donuts prices vary. Though after 6, there's a buy one get one of equal or lesser value. Skor donut + blueberry fritter was good. ~$5 for 2... What a bargin! They also sell specially jams of unique flavors and ingredients sourced from around the province. Street parking. Certainly a great stop if you're in the area.

The store is located in the city center. Inside, it’s very spacious and has a vintage feel. They sell pastries and food in the central area of the store. The staff is friendly, and the food is reasonably priced. There’s a large area upstairs and on the right side of the store where you can sit down to eat. The upstairs dining area feels quite cozy and has a family-style vibe. They sell sauces, jams, various kinds of preserves, and sweets. It’s pretty crowded. Everything here is clean, and the music is great. Highly recommend it when you visit Orillia.

The 1.5-hour drive was absolutely worth it. This place has something for everyone, from delectable sweets to a wide range of organic meats and cheeses sourced from Ontario farms. The selection of preserves is impressive—so much so that it might make a Mennonite pantry envious. Weekends can get busy, so don’t be in a rush; both locals and visitors flock here. I picked up the mac and cheese, which is undeniably the cheesiest, and a six-pack of large doughnuts. My pancreas is definitely working overtime—talk about a sugar coma! Despite the crowd, the staff are plentiful and keep the lines moving quickly. It’s a must-visit if you’re in the area or even as a destination for a leisurely Sunday drive. You won’t regret it!

I ordered 2 customised orange cakes and cupcakes for my kid's first birthday and it came out amazing. The taste, design and everything was perfect. Thank you for making my kid's birthday special. Their service is amazing. Apart from that it's also the best place to have breakfast.

Got apple fritters and Blueberry fritters. Size wise the fritters were a good size. When it comes to the amount of apples pieces or blueberries the fritters leave a lot to be desired. Both types of fritters had at most 4-5 pieces of fruit. Very disappointing! Their fritters used to have enough fruit that almost every bite had fruit. Parking: During busy times there isn t enough parking

October 22, 2024

Our first time visiting here from a recommendation and let us tell you it wasnt all that. We were excited upon entering the store, it was busy and with line ups. Bustling place for sure; however our experience quickly declined afterwards.. I think the best part was trying their Roast Beef Sandwich/Croissant. My husband fell ill immediately on the drive home and we definitely thought it was the hotdog in the cheesebun; it may have sat out on the counter for too long and also it was heated in the microwave for a few seconds or it had cross-contamination.. or a combination of everything! he felt sick for a few good hours so we decided to hold off on trying the Turtle mini-cake that we also purchased. The next day we finally decided to try the cake and I had high expectations as to what the cake should taste like however after ONE bite lol ughhh distasteful and bla and zero cake flavor!!! it tasted like Box Cake mix and with the container store bought icing on top too!!! Super sweet, zero stars. :( It was bad surprise to end our expectations and experience to this pretty location. We wont return, Ill happily bake my own baked goods at home using real butter and real ingredients.. thank you.

It conveniently comes in 2 sizes.... ive only bought the small one! Theres definitely something for everyone in this place! Weve lived in Simcoe County for 10 years and just recently visited this place for the first time..... needless to say, we came back 2 weeks later for our second time. We will be repeat customers here as we will definitely the short trek from Barrie. Its totally worth it!!!! I found the prices more than reasonable for great quality products

while out for 1 last top down cruise yesterday, we came across the Mariposa Market in downtown Orillia , while looking for a place to grab a bite. All I can say is, IF you have trouble making decisions (like my wife - haha) this is NOT the place for you !! that is unless you can possibly find a decision maker to take with you & maybe even get them to pay .... From sandwiches, breads, wraps, prepared meals the choices appear endless. But wait, now lets talk deserts, as you can see, even the most seasoned of decision makers sometimes falters. Yes that is a TEXAS sized Skors donut, that should NOT be eaten in the same seating as the Turtles cake. All this 2 days before Thanks Giving - what was I thinking. Mentioned the place to a few neighbours last night & found out that we were possibly the only people in Ontario that did not know about this place - apparently come by car, come by boat or I guess even sea plane BOTTOM LINE is the few minutes it takes off the highway will be less time than you will spend lining up at that burger joint up the road & beside from probably saving a few dollars, you will also be treated to amazing foods, to stay or to munch on the road, or if you have total will power, save for breakfast - ENJOY SPA

This was a highly recommended spot in Orillia for visitors. The atmosphere, service is great. However we bought some pastries and the icing was extremely sweet, we could actually taste the sugar granules in the icing. 6$ for one piece and we had to discard the remaining ones as they were all extremely sweet. Im not sure if this was one of the days with extra sugar or is it usually like that. I still have some jelly, marmalade and sauces to try. I hope they are worth price and hype.

The store was closed all day so we were left to host 2 birthdays with no cake. They refused us our money and when I asked about our cake they didnt want to fix their mistake and give our children their cake. By far the worst customer service EVER! And the woman that took the order couldnt even come forward and be honest! Never again will I step foot in this greed soaked business again. Which is a shame because the food looks amazing!
