One of my favorite restaurants!

It was our first time here, but certainly won t be our last. Everything was awesome! Highly recommended.

Spell the food a bit Bland the spaghetti sauce had a strange taste to it he was either nutmeg or Ginger or something just didnt taste right

Theos is typically busy most times. Menu has a good variety of food. Portions are large. I wish they would bring back the oven baked ravioli! Beat to make a reservation if you plan to go.

So we are sitting in the restaurant and the service sucks.... the lady was rude not accommodating to any of us and very rude oh did I say rude..... so rude and not helpful I am sorry that my moms birthday supper was tainted

The restaurant had a lively ambiance, and while the service seemed a bit slow, it could have been due to our server appearing tired or disinterested. The food was decent, but it didnt quite meet the high expectations set by the glowing reviews we had seen. The menu seemed to focus more on casual American cuisine rather than the casual Greek or Italian dishes we were anticipating.

I have never had a bad meal there. The chicken souvlaki, veal Parmesan, Caesar salad, the house spaghetti and lasagna.. are all very tasty. Reasonably priced and friendly staff. They have takeout as well. Kid-friendliness: Very friendly staff. Lots of choices for kids.

Fantastic place to get a great meal and have amazing service. We have been going here for many years and wont change. We do miss that they used to serve bread when you arrived and now post covid that us gone, sadly. Ive tried many of the items on the menu and can not say Ive had anything I wouldnt have again. Wendy is one of the many long time staff members who is a pleasure to see and be served by. She always remembers us and thanks us for coming back. I highly recommend going here. Prices are reasonable. I do recommend making a reservation.

Best place to eat in Orillia!

Had a late lunch with some family, it was amazing as usual. I had grilled chicken, it was such a hearty portion that there was more than enough for lunch the next day. Definately worth the trip from Innisfil!

My #1 favorite restaurant in the whole world. Close your eyes and point at a random spot in the menu. No matter what you end up with, it will be awesome!

Booked a few tables for a small wedding party at theos. When we booked the room, two months beforehand, we tried to book the reservation for 25 people for around 6:00pm but were told that 7:00 would be better as the restaurant wont be a busy. We would have liked to have our reservation at 6, but we trusted the staff and booked for 7. We were told that we could have the room to ourselves, although I may be misremembering that detail. On the day of our wedding our party started to show up at 7:00 pm and everyone arrived by 7:30. Some of the staff informed our party that they expected us to have ordered by 7. We ordered and generally enjoyed our meal, although one of our servers seemed to be having a bad day. She was inattentive and short to the point of rudeness. After our meal we enjoyed some conversation but as soon as it hit 8:30 one of our guests had to leave and as we got up to bid them Farwell the staff took that as a cue to start clearing our table without consultation. Seems they really wanted to end the night. As our party took the hint and began to pack up to leave, it seemed the server who was having a bad day became inaccessible to get the bill. I finally had to flag down one of the other servers to get the bill, which took a long time to get, but I suppose its not easy to put together a bill for 25 people. Overall, the food was good, and the prices were quite affordable, but the service was a little off that night. I still gave a good tip as Im sure it is shared, and I didnt think it was fair to punish the other server for the attitude of one. Not what I wanted for my wedding dinner but this is a good restaurant.

The food is amazing!! Service is great as well. We had not reserved a seat here, but they still found a seat that was available even though the restaurant was pretty full and mostly reserved.

Found this experience disappointing. Food lacked flavour and the chicken wasnt very good in two dishes. We wont be back.

Absolutely terrible..how do screw up veal Parmigiano ...please salt your water when cooking spaghetti. Use real cheese...quickly fry the veal before putting it in the oven. USE a good quality cheese and less of it-- balance is key in cooking!What can I say about your sauce...I have no words. Sugar and ketchup??? Thankfully the servi ce was good. Theo you should ashamed and I wont be back. But I hope you take this critical review and make improvements.

Our friends had raved about Theos, so we came for our anniversary with our son, very much looking forward to it. Ordered spanakopita and bruschetta and a couple of drinks, followed by steak, lamb chops and a kids meal. The whole experience was shockingly average, especially for the $130 bill we ended up with. The place was packed and Im assuming the servers were short staffed, so we barely saw our server. Tasted straight out of a diner: almost no flavour to the meat, undercooked potatoes, soggy veggies, half-baked appies. We took 3 or 4 bites, then called it a night. Our server came to the table, saw that we had barely eaten anything, and asked if we wanted dessert. No inquiry to see if maybe theyve been a problem with the meal, just the bill. Nothing special at all about the whole thing. Sounds like a lot of people have had positive experiences so maybe youll get lucky, but we wont be back.

We love this place. Caesar salad is to die for and we always buy the dressing to bring home. Never disappointed portions are large and always delicious. Highly recommend them!

Very impressed. Waitresses were great. Good vegetarian selection. Dessert was too good! We were a noisy group of 13 and the staff handled us perfectly! Vegetarian options: Lots! Roasted veggie wrap was wonderful.

2 people in my group got sick on a shrimp dish. When my friend called from Toronto to mention his experience the person on the phone was rude and hung up. We had reservations but still had to wait 55 minutes.

Good experience, the server didnt ask if I wanted a refill on soft drink though, and they dont serve bread? Other than a good experience, no waiting either.

We have a cottage nearby and we make it a point to eat at Theos whenever possible. Thier Greek salad is the best Ive eaten, EVER. You can buy the dressing, too!

Everything was good mushrooms were not the greatest the server was very rude to us barely checked up on us we didn t eat the mushrooms because they not tasty and she was very rude to us about not eating them and got snappy we re definitely not eating there again zero star for service

I had Theos house special pasta which is spaghetti with meatballs. The sauce was fabulous with the vegetables; the meatballs were a bit disappointing. I love tender meatballs and these were not...quite hard ...tasty but hard. The cesar salad was delicious! Food

Six of us had dinner at Theos Eatery on July 20th, 2024 and we all LOVED it! Our review is a little late, but we all remember this amazing restaurant and DELICIOUS food. Every dish we ordered was fantastic and those salads were dressed to perfection! Were all big salad eaters so we were very happy. Okay, now we have to talk about Wendy our waitress. She is definitely the star of the show! We all loved her. She made the best recommendations, very friendly, and such a nice cool easy going woman!!! Youre lucky to have her on your team. That said, the entire team was friendly and professional. Were going back to Orillia for another concert at Rama soon and were definitely going back to Theos! Highly recommend!

We are family of four adults and a child visiting from Richmond Hill, ON and had dinner here tonight. The food was fantastic, inexpensive, and large portions. Gotta try the Fish and Chips, and the Alfredo Pasta! Aly, our server was very helpful in helping decide our meals and the service was great!

My husband and I ate there on Aug 20th at the bar as they were booked up but still accommodated us. Amber the bar tender was our servicer. Wow, best worker with a smile. She doesnt stop! Food was good, and the service was amazing!

Amazing place. Stopped in on a whim and was completely blown away by great atmosphere, staff, and the awesome menu. This is a MUST for anyone visiting Orillia!

This is a very busy restaurant at dinner time so I would recommend making reservations. Not open Sundays or Mondays. Parking: They get quite busy for dinner so parking in their lot is tricky. Not too big. However there is plenty of free parking in the plaza parking lot and a very short walk to the restaurant.

I and our family have been going to Theos for many, many years, without much incident til now. Lately, Id notice the quality of my food had declined, but nothing egregious. Last night, however, was one of the worst dining experiences Ive ever had. Our food took quite a while to arrive, and we were a bit before being seated, which given a party of 9, was not unexpected or unusual. However, when it finally did, I noticed after a couple bites of my salad that there was a small beetle crawling around inside the food. I notified a server, who had my replacement meal rushed out and taken off my bill. Unfortunately, within an hour of having our meals and eating, I became violently ill. This review is in no way a reflection of the serving staff, who were accommodating and polite, but rather criticism of the kitchen, who have let the standard of their food fall drastically. I dont expect I will be returning here soon, if ever.

Having been told that the food here was simply amazing, I decided to give it a try. Ordered the veal sandwich with a caesar salad. The sauce on the sandwich was bland at best, half the veal was so tough you couldnt bite through it. No Parmesan with the salad , not enough dressing for the bowl of lettuce. The 4 bacon bits and 3 croutons really didnt make any difference. I am thankful that I ordered a simple sandwich for take out. It probably saved me $100.00. My husband and I were going to go in for a dine in experience and know that we would have spent much more.

Atmosphere is very good as well as service. Would be even better had the venue provided dinner rolls or a basket with an assortment of breads. When the main entrees arrived, I would have enjoyed it more had grated fresh parmesan been offered over the sprinkle parmesan.

We have ordered from here a few times and been reasonably happy with the souvlaki dishes, but the chicken pesto fusilli that I ordered and my husband and I shared was bone dry and gross!! I have also tried a few other of their pasta dishes, some better than others but nothing as bad as this dish. I realize that pasta does not always travel well and this was take out but honestly I feel this dish should be removed from their menu until they can tweak it and make it edible.

This was an amazing experience for young and old. We enjoyed every minute. This was our first time visiting and definitely not our last. Theos will see us again!!!

Went there to celebrate my birthday with my family. We brought a cake as we were not aware of their policy on outside cakes. Instead of asking us nicely to take the cake out the waitress bit our heads off with a rude comment. Even that would not have soured the mood if she had been nicer. Instead she was very abrupt and curse with us. As one of my guests called it snarky. Even after my father politely mentioned her attitude she continued to have an attitude. If it was up to me I wouldnt have left her a tip at all. I have eaten at Theos many times and I enjoy the food and the atmosphere, however this one waitress has soured my mood for this fine eatery. I dont know if Ill be back. Please do better in the future Theos as Id hate to see you lose business over some staff

Have ordered in the past and have had excellent food, however . This past order was absolutely terrible, spent 14 minutes on hold and then one hour to receive the delivery. We ordered two meals and both were overcooked dry and not half the amount of the meals we had ordered in the past. Too bad as it had been our go to place but we won t be back

We had a reservation and were glad we did because there was a line up and we were going to see Paul Anka. We were seated immediately. Our food was absolutely amazing but far too much to eat. The portions are huge! Our leftovers fed us for a few more meals. Would definitely recommend this restaurant and will come again on our next trip.

This is a must visit place to have a great lunch or dinner. The service ia always top notch. The staff is very attentive. The food is excellent, fresh and served quickly. Waste of money cant even cut a pizza properly forgot to order our kids chicken fingers and then tried to rush us out of their so they could serve more guests... Will never be back... This place has gone downhill big time

Was last here on Friday and had a great experience the food is always delicious especially the cheese pastas. Our waitress had been super friendly even on a busy day. It was a bit of a wait for the food since we also ordered an appetizer but the taste made up for it. No wait for a table and feels clean inside

This restaurant is AMAZING! Food is always great, prices are and food are better than easy side Mario s down the road. I may not stop in a lot; though anytime I m craving pasta I jump at the opportunity.

Get take out here pretty regularly. Usually just the Ceasar salad. Literally the best in town. Same with the pizza. Best in town. Pricier but the best. Always the same, no surprises.

Took my daughter and her fiance out for dinner before going to a show. Staff is friendly and very efficient. We all order something different and it was delicious. Great portions and prices. We used Theos in the past to cater family functions. They never disappoint. We will return again and again

This is the only place we eat at when in Orillia. We travel 2.5hrs just to come here. The staff are friendly and courteous. The prices are fantastic and so is the food. Make reservations because it fills up very fast. You won t leave hungry or disappointed.

Food was excellent. But our waitress kept timing us and our drinks. We were there for a birthday, I had a dd and was still only allowed two drinks. Wont be going back here. If you feel like having a few beverages with friends, find somewhere else to go.

We treated our son and his partner for diner the other day. Everyone enjoyed their meal. The food was great and the portions just right ... though simple. I had the back rib diner with roasted potatoes for $23. Just that ... potatoes and two pieces of back ribs (4 bones). The taste was amazing and cooked to perfection including the potatoes ... but a bit pricey for what you get. I would have appreciated some freshly roasted veggies to go along for that price. Also, there is a very limited selection of beer on tap here. So dont expect any microbrewery selections on tap. Other than that it was really good and though the place is so busy, the service is very fast, efficient and courteous. I would come back anytime.

Food was just ok but large portions, the staff were decent. They need to seriously upgrade their blender, nothing says relaxing meal like listening to the 80dB blender going non stop. Probably won t return..nothing worth note to come back too. Mid

Great experience! Friendly staff, nice portion size, quiet atmosphere. Our party of six had the mini pizzas with soup or salad, 2 pasta dishes and the fish and chips. Food came out quickly and was delicious. Everything homemade in house including the cesar dressing (oil base which is my preference) and tartar sauce which was amazing!. One piece fish was as big as the plate, and tomato meat sauce was unique with a bit of sweet taste. Pizzas were loaded with toppings. Great value for excellent quality. Highly recommend if youre visiting Orillia.

Lets place has the best lasagna and chicken El forno Ive ever had read my wife, get it quite often and wood. Refer it to anybody who likes good home. Cooked meals as takeout. Definitely a must try.

Fettuccine Alfredo is amazing!

I had fusilli pasta with sausages. The sausage was not Italian sausage it was more processed the pasta was very oily. Our waitress was great. We did not have a reservation and the wait for a table wasnt long . The stuffed mushroom caps were delicious but sadly our entrees were very disappointing my husband had the chicken parmasean with rice. The chicken had the texture if a frozen filet.

Easily one of the grossest places I ve eaten. Table of 6 and everything we ordered from apps to mains was terrible. This is a 2 star restaurant, don t let the reviews fool you

Last night three friends and I came for dinner. The food was good, as expected. What was extremely disappointing was being greeted and asked what we would like to drink. We were informed that we were allowed 2 drinks in the first hour and one drink the following hour. The server was not able to explain the rationale other than it was policy across the board . We are all mature adults. One of our group was the DD. We were having dinner at a restaurant not settling in for a night of solid drinking. Not impressed. We will not be back.

Although food was good as always I m very disappointed with their server s inability to explain their management s decision in terms of only being allowed 1 drink within 1st hour. Quite honestly I felt I was being judged & monitored. This new policy is not posted anywhere on their website. As a paying customer & a responsible adult who was not driving my friends & I were insulted. We will not be back.

I took the family to Theo s for pizza, my friend Moose said it would be worth my while. Boy was he right! We were greeted with warm, friendly, genuine smiles by the wait staff, the place was super clean and the decor was very pleasing. The food was delicious and piping hot. This place is fire and a must visit for anyone looking for a next level dining experience. The prices were very reasonable for the amount of food and drink received. It will NOT be our last visit.

I ve eaten at Theo s a number of times over the past few years & have always had a great experience. The food is delicious, generous portions & generally comes quickly. I was there last night, place was packed with Christmas festivities & yet the staff kept up with us, showing good humour & doing their best to accommodate a couple of our requests. They even anticipated a few things, such as bringing an extra salad plate so we could share & a water glass for someone who hadn t asked for water. In addition , the prices are reasonable. I strongly advise reservations for weekends at any time, when there s concerts or plays at the Opera House, and of course the Christmas season. (I made our reservation a month ago ) Reservations are by phone only, no online booking at this time. Well worth the effort!

As a family of 4 we ate well including dessert for a reasonable price. The food was outstanding, the service (Cheryl) was fantastic and the restaurant was great. Would highly recommend the restaurant and will definitely come back.

Met with a group of our friends and enjoyed the company, food and the location. Very reasonably priced, quantity of food was excellent and the restaurant was very busy. Had a great experience. The only small challenge can be parking. It seems limited for the number of patrons. See you again.

Calamari good, salad ok, lasagna and chicken parm terrible-like frozen food quality. Atmosphere- there was a guy with his kid sitting there blasting a show on a phone. Like is this McDonalds? Says more about the parent but wow., also service was very slow but it was prime time Saturday night I guess.

Everything was fantastic. I had the veal, and it was a good portion size and nice and tender. Even though they were busy, the service was great. I highly recommend going here.

Wonderful food, casual dining and you can always expect the same food quality every visit delicious! Definitely a family friendly dining experience. Vegetarian options: Must have: Vegetarian Classic. I m not vegetarian but this is one of my favourite dishes. Spanakopita and Greek salad YUM! Kid-friendliness: I have always felt comfortable bringing my kids at all ages here. They are welcoming and have a lot of choices for them.

Usually such a good experience and I tell everyone how wonderful the food is, especially the salad! We had a family birthday dinner here the past weekend and it was kind of a mess. 1 order was not taken until a later time when we flagged down the waitress. One of our orders went to the wrong table so we waited about 5 minutes with 1 person having no food, was super awkward. From here the salad was not good this time around. One of our guests opted for the salad as a main per my recommendation and unfortunately it was super watered down and all in all poorly made. They ended up just eating the chicken that came with the salad, with the salad being hardly touched. One of the entree salads were also cleared with being barely touched. No questions asked or anything, which I mean is on us as we could have said something- however, it was very busy and crowded and with the concerns up to that point it just wasnt worth it. You would have hoped that with two of the same salad types being cleared hardly touched it would be questioned. Hopefully we will decide to go here in the future and when we do I hope that the food impresses as it has previously. Im truly hoping this was a one off. Was looking forward to that salad all week, raved about it all week and was super disappointed The server was doing her best with the cards she was dealt.

Decided to try this place out tonight because we have tickets at rama for a show and this place did not disappoint at all. We had reservations for 7pm we were seated by 650pm had our order taken and food in front of us by 712pm. This place is also packed as well like not an empty seat we were blown away at how fast the service was and the food was also top notch. We will forsure be back to try more on the menu. The cost is also very good as well. Lovely place and highly recommend

Always a pleasure

I havent been here in so long, so when my sister and I decided to have dinner, we thought it was a great idea to go to here. It was! She had the chicken parmesan, after an appetizer of mushroom caps. I had the French onion soup then ordered the maple glazed salmon. All were fantastic. Enjoyed at a nice little table by the window. Thank you Parking: If their parking is full, there is infinite more behind the restaurant for the strip mall that shares the same entrance from the road.

This place is so over rated, I went with my family of 4 for dinner, the place was empty, we ordered appetizers and it was literally 1 shrimp for each of us. The food was mediocre at best, the main dish was the protein and the starch, rice, potatoes or fries, no vegetables, since when does a main dish not accompany vegetables? When I asked the waitress said it would be an upgrade and extra for vegetables. Food was bland, rice from my plate was clearly not fresh, veal was as thin as paper and tasteless, my sons chicken was dry and his potato was over cooked, no butter or sour cream served with the potato, we had to ask. Overall I felt robbed, so expensive for a mediocre tasteless dinner. This is not fine dinning, far from it. Honestly east side Mario s is 100x better and I don t care for them either just to show how bad this was. Will not return and frankly don t get why this place is so popular.

Our group of 6 friends dropped in on Friday night for dinner and the place was packed. We were seated after 30 minutes and the hostess kept us informed so the wait didn t seem too long. Once we were seated, our drink orders were taken and promptly delivered when food orders were then taken. Appetizers, entrees and desserts were all brought at a comfortable pace. Not one of the dishes ordered was a disappointment! Everything was hot and so delicious! I would strongly recommend this establishment if you are ever looking for a place to eat in Orillia!

Update... Quality of the food has gone down since my original review in 2018 despite having frequented this establishment seval times since then. I had a craving for Fish and Chips. Ive had them on previous occasions and the portion is good as WAS the quality. As always I ordered take out and brought it home to enjoy. However.. I did NOT enjoy this dinner... Id have dropped my rating to a 1 if not for the other 2 meals being enjoyed by my wife and mother-in-law. Upon opening the cover I was shocked at how few fries there were. Easily half of what there used to be. I could have put them in McDonalds french fry box (pictures attached) . The tartar sauce container was actually melted!!!! So it should come as no surprise that the fish was dry and chewy... Yes... I said chewy!!! It was as if they had pre cooked the fish and let it sit under a heat lamp for way too long. If I had of been dining in the restaurant I would have returned it. Moral of my review is this... DO NOT ORDER THE FISH AND CHIPS. 5 stars for their takeout counter. Generous portions and dont forget to either try the Caesar salad or purchase a container of the dressing. Youll thank me later. Take out counter is hidden around the side of the building. Call ahead and itll be all packed and waiting for you when you arrive.
