A&W Canada in Orillia

the guy at the counter goes above and beyond.

We were in Orillia shopping and had finished. The A&W was close and we decided to eat here before we went home.

Very expensive for a Burger meal almost $20.00 next time Im being lazy its Burger King.

I m surprised how they treat the costumer with really bad attitude. They are not wearing a hair net

People here are very rude. The guy with tattoos was taking our order, he had this mean look on his face irritated rolling eyes when i asked to modify our order. Never coming back here.

Drive thru night staff are not good they dont behave well nd they missed our food to deliver us and we went again and they fullfiled. Very poor service

I like their food but the music played in the restaurant is way too loud plus, the music itself is terrible.It used to be a 50s era style restaurant & they played the old 50s style music! Why did they ruin a good thing by changing it! I wont be back unless I eat outside & dont have to hear that loud lousy music! Or go through the drive thru! The bathrooms are disgustingly dirty always!! My husband says the mens washroom smells like piss as soon as you walk in!

Rude and hasnt fixed drink machine in a very long time

Unfortunately not very clean and did not trust the food. Sticky floor, flies and leaks near the bathrooms.

I m appalled by the male staff member working the drive thru today Sept 3rd at 2pm for yelling at me for his mistake on my milkshake. I had to ask him not to speak to me in that manner as he was calling me a liar about what I ordered. I think I know what I ordered as it comes out of my own mouth. I have never been spoke to like that as a customer paying for anything. This is the second incident at this location so I highly recommend to everyone to find a new location because they never address complaints. That staff member should not be in any time of customer service as he apparently doesn t realize the customer is always right. This location never seems to get an order completely correct as well. I will never go there again.

Showed up here to use the drive thru at 11:50pm (they close at 12). Wasnt sure if I was too late to make a quick order. I sat there for about 5 mins. I thought maybe they didnt see my car? I saw the worker look at me through the window, but they never acknowledged me. I would have understood if they let me know they werent taking any more orders, but they never communicated with me at all. Just ignored me. Not great customer service.

Floor need a good cleaning

Just had the Whistle Dog at the ServiceOntario. Service was important, food has expected, price a little high, but it is what it is.

The women at the drive through seemed very disinterested in her position. She sat on a stool and signed most of the time while I waited at the drive through for over 12 minutes. I was never told why it was taking so long to get a hamburger and fries. They were out of most chicken options because of a delivery that hadnt arrived, which I understand happens. Honestly if the staff member had been more professional and polite I would not be leaving this star review.

To the guy who was working drive thru Sunday evening (August 4th, 2024) around 10pm.... Weve never felt someone go above and beyond to be as nice and helpful as he was. They were already outta onion rings, but he was friendly and somehow got us ice cubes for our drinks and was a true gent. Thanks for that experience

I have always gone to A&W for chubby chicken sandwich. You have changed the chicken to a pressed patty, no longer the chicken filet sandwich we expected. Price up, quality down. Look out with chick filet beside you. Thus used to be be my favorite chicken sandwich. No more.

Went to drive through around 11 22 pm ,no one spoke and took my order even went to the window and the employees were just talking didnt even baut to see the customers, there were even two cars behind us who didnt got their order. Worst experience !!!!

Waited in drive thru line for 20 min with only 2 vehicles ahead. The Whistle dog was put in the wrapper upside down, so all cheese was stuck to the bag, the weiner was 1/2 way outside the bun and it was cold. Disappointed for the cost of it!

My wife and I went here, we were visiting out of Town and it s close to the hwy. My wife likes the beyond meat burger, I had an Uncle combo, the food was hot and fresh, however the service was poor, and we went to sit down, the table was so dirty, there was 3 employees standing there talking about a new game, my wife asked if someone could clean the table, 1 of them wipe the table top, pushing all the debris on the chairs, and left to go back to the conversation they were having. As we sat, after cleaning our chairs. Looking around the restaurant it was a disaster, the floor looked like a barn it was so dirty, the counter looked like the floor, filled my cup, and 1 of the stacks of lids was covered in something. My sprite tasted like carbonated water so I threw it out. So gross, last time going here. Who ever owns this location, you should be ashamed of yourself!

Friendly staff great breakfast sandwich

Not sure what happened, but this is a very dirty A and W. We used to stop here all the time, and I was shocked at the condition of the floors, the washrooms, and the tables were.sticky. Food was pretty good but lost its luster when you looked around. Management needs to take note.

Had to change from a 5 star to a 3 star. The night manager who refused to give his name Im not required to give you my name, bud would not honour the Leafs special of teen burger and rings for $5. Its an app only special, which Im well aware of, however the A and W app thinks this location closes at 945 pm when, in fact they close at 11. Because of that you cant order through the app after 930 (i drove across town and was there at 1030). Mamager said theres nothing he could do. I asked if he could just ring it in and discount it? Response was, Nope. Told me I could email the store or call head office. I said that was absolutely horrific customer service, especially for someone who is a twice a week customer for the last 7 years. Even worse if he was telling the truth and he doesnt have the ability to discount i(which i SERIOUSLY doubt

Disgusted, just went through here at the drive through watched my burger fall on the floor then the girl picked it up and asked her manager something with her back to me, after picking it up her manager then Pretended to put the bag on the sandwich station, which I could see, then pass it off as if they didn t just pick it up off the ground. Asked for them to remake it and in then 30 s seconds I had a new one I had to wait for 15 mins for the first one pretty sure the cold bag was again the same damn sandwich. Will not be back here disgusting that I had to say no thank you to the first, should have asked for my money back.

One star for everything because they couldn t get my order right. All I ordered was some chicken buddy burgers with added tomato, lettuce and onion. For no reason they removed the sauce, and the pickles, and they also didn t give me the tomato. I received a dry chicken sandwich with nothing but onion and lettuce.

What the hell happened here? I mean, they still flip burgers there, but ugh!! Surfaces are crusty ..with what I dont even want to know. Bravo for whatever they did to pass food/Safety inspections. Bathrooms give festival outhouses a bad name. Eat here only if your have your immunizations up to date. Their chicken has no antibiotics. At this dive, thats an advisory to bring your own. Ew!

Went through drive thru to be served by a very rude boy who shoved our food out to us and never acknowledged us once except for a look on his face that said now get out of here because I hate my job.

So the wife and I go there when were pressed for time and are hungry. The burgers are good and juicy, I dont really eat fast food much because its too pricey, to be honest.

The service and food quality at this location has gone down recently unfortunately. I ordered an egger breakfast sandwich and my English muffin was burnt and the package it was in was soaked in butter. Probably just butter yes thank you I am aware that its butter, but its unappealing to eat a soggy sandwich and having your hands covered in it. I am spending $10 bucks for this fast food, I should expect excellent service and quality. Hash brown was cold. I may have to stay clear from this place for a while.

I liked the chicken strips. I wanted more of them though in the kids meal.

I ordered lunch here today Jan 5/2024 my order took 10 minutes while people after me were getting their orders before mine was ready , part of my order sat out getting cold while the struggle to complete the rest staff just stood around talking , while the floors need to be swept and washed there was food and split drinks on the floor and dirt from peoples shoes ( yes I know it s winter) then I saw staff give away free products the food was great but they lack on keeping thing clean ,

Because I have a gluten allergy, it is great to find a fast food restaurant that serves a breakfast, that is not on a bun.

Not even open looks to be closed for renovations potential but no sign anywhere for those trying to use the drive thru nor was anything posted to the door.

Went in to the restaurant to get a quick bite. Never again. The store is run only by loud rude teenagers. Disgusting floors, tables and chairs. Food was cold and just thrown together. Sat and listened to the teenage staff sound the they were having a party in the back while patrons were in store.

The food is absolutely amazing . The young lady who cooked my eggs did it perfectly . And the new renovations look very nice. However, the cashier that took my order seemed like he wanted to be anywhere but there, and he seemed very aggravated whenever I asked for something in my order. He looked very disappointed that he had to stop looking at his phone in order to serve me. After serving me, he stood at the other counter and leaned on the counter with his back facing me sitting there waiting for my food. He was very hostile and intimidating.

Just ate here for lunch. All tables were dirty, all trays were dirty they had to grab a handful and clean them. Areas for dispensing drinks straws and napkins also dirty. Could really use an adult as a manager. Teenagers standing around talking, swinging their feet in the walkway between the front and the kitchen, worst of all was the girl bent over laughing with her head and her hair right next to the rack where they place your food. This place used to be better. I wont be returning here anytime in the near future.

I usually like aandw but this location has a very rude cashier. My coworkers and I go every Friday, her over the top rudeness is an on going joke at this point.

Love us an A&W Teen burger and onion rings. Never eaten in, so imagine the atmos is standard, certainly often packed. Food : 5/5

Favourite part is that you can get all menu items at all times. Love getting lunch items before lunch time

I just tried a caramel cold brew from their new Brew Bar. Excellent flavour. Ice cold and delicious. Burger was good but seemed expensive?

This is my 5th bad experience. Whenever I come here at evening, they closed dine in and take away and I always have to stay hungry.

Just picked up a 5 piece chicken strip combo, fries were luke warm and chalky in texture (old or undercooked). The chicken strips were also underwhelming. The batter was soft, falling off and not crispy like usual. The chicken was luke warm, rubbery and dry. The food was terrible. For the price of A and W the food should be fresh. The root beer was good as always.

Make this quick. Deff won t be back. Simple as the burgers wereso dry, my sweet fries I asked for new ones bc they were barely warm and soggy. Employees are next to wrestling in the back which just made the whole experience not good. I won t be back.

Expensive but great food in my opinion

Went to this location for lunch. The dining area was clean. When ordering, the staff were friendly. Food was hot and fresh, right down to the veggies on the burger. We were very pleased with our visit. Will definitely be back again. We didnt use the washrooms while there but the main areas were clean and tables were wiped right away when people left.

The 3 pieces of lettuce on my Habenero chicken burger for $8.19 were old and almost white in colour. No one cares. Edit: we drove away 10 minutes ago and are still discussing how terrible the value of this meal was. An $8.19 chicken burger should have a decent size patty...the Teen burger patty was also super small. I wonder if the value items are the same? Way too expensive for what you get.

This A and W is starting to lack. No frozen mugs, no mayonnaise and wouldnt put any on the side from the back for me. Served me cold fries, but replaced them. Meh!!

I have eaten at several A&W locations.. and THIS is probably my favorite one!! The food is always fresh and cooked perfectly. Nice fresh buns, crisp lettuce, hot fries. I know its not a gourmet restaurant, its fast food.. but somehow this place puts that extra effort into making it perfect! Always great service with a smile too.. the owners should feel proud of the staff they have.. I have never had a complaint yet. And trust me, youd know it! Mozza burgers for the win!!!

Standard a&w with the exception of the querky guy with 100 clocks and watches set up at a table talking to himself.

Service was fast. The food was hot. There is plenty of space to sit. I miss the chilled glasses. It was something I specifically went to A&W for.

The food was delicious, and the service was wonderful. My only complaint is that the tables were all filthy. The trash bin was full also.

Fries were cold. My husbands burger looked like mush. We got off the highway for a quick bite. Not worth it.

Yesterday I the guy that took my order was Very rude, unfriendly, seemed very angry like he didn t want to be there and the customers were putting him out by even coming to the restaurant and ordering food. Definitely not the type of person I d want representing a company, especially being the first and only customer contact. Food was good though, but I wouldn t go back just because of him.

We have eaten in and used take out at this location. Always a great experience. Customer service is always good, friendly, happy and pleasant. Food is accurately prepared and cooked well. A great place to eat in or take out.

Ordered $50 of food for my family. All of the chicken was old, soggy and floppy. The pop machine was flat and they said it s working. Staff was too busy socializing to care. Absolutely horrible meal. A complete waste of $50 and I won t be back.

Pretty disappointed, had asked for no tomato due to allergy concerns and the first thing I see on both my burgers after taking a bite is tomato not the first mistake I ve had from this location and definitely won t be going back to it. Very concerning for anyone with allergy issues.

Ordered 2 pancake and sausage orders. One of the orders came out burnt, and I dont mean a little dark brown, no they were black. Asked nicely for a new one order of pancakes and sausage and had to wait for 20 minutes. I will NEVER return. These people are down right rude

What kind of burger place does not have meat available? And since when does it take 20 minutes to fry some burger patties when there are 3 teenage kids playing around behind the counter with nothing better to do? Rediculas service for a busy Friday night fast food restaurant. Even took 15 minutes just to drop a basket of fries. Pitiful excuse for fast food. Money better spent elsewhere

Seriously the best A&W Ive had in a while. We happened to stop here for a quick bite on our trip. The portion sizes were great and the fries were perfectly salted. The staff were friendly and also the service was very quick. If only our local store could be like this store.

I asked for kid meals 2 cheese burgers. At drive through, got home with no receive this is second time burger without cheese. I call them back and told them one of the girl said we didn t charge you for that and keep repeating and hang up the phone. It no matter you charge or not charge should tell beginning that you don t have cheese, I wrote this is to teach you, you should learning and talk nice and change your mistakes .

Weve always had very positive experiences at this location. ...however, this particular Friday in September the cleanliness of this location has fallen to the wayside. In particular, the mens room can be smelt from the hallway.

The beyond meat burger patties are quite good and can be substituted in any menu option. Great to see plant-based being adopted. More expensive than beef though. Vegetarian options: Beyond meat burger

On Sept 14th at 10:56am two older couple come into the store and asked if they can still get breakfast, the guy at the counter said no, breakfast is over.... so they left, how lazy is that! didnt even offer them the all day breakfast that is available all day, last time I checked BREAKFAST IS OVER AT 11:00am AT ALL A&W

If I could have rated this lower I would have... was quite unimpressed with my families most recent meal here. Onion rings were all burnt and soaked in grease, and the mozza burger had a half a piece of wilted disgusting lettuce. Coke was gross.. mostly flat, not sure why it tasted so bad though?? Will not be back

Thats cool to have breakfast for $9. Coffee, bacon, sausage, egg, bread, potato and tomato. Very nice people, very busy great poutine.

Food was OK. They didn t have onion rings, the reason we went. Enjoyed the Root Beer, the first one in probably 20 years. Lot of little boy still hanging around.

A&W used to be good. Now the portions are smaller and more expensive. Same quality but no longer worth it.

Floor was a little grimmy. But the food was good.

Poor food, uncomfortable service

In contrast to the experiences Ive had at just about every other A&W, this location was not well maintained and the food was not consistent with what Ive come to expect from an A&W restaurant.

My entire house comes here every single morning because it really is the best tasting coffee and food. BUT why won t you have decaf ready each morning?? I am pregnant, my father is diabetic and I know we aren t the only pregnant and diabetic people in Orillia. Being told we don t make decaf, you have to wait 10 minutes for us to brew it is ridiculous. We wait every single time and it never takes more than 5 minutes, they just hope everyone says that s ok so they don t have to spend that extra 2 seconds opening a package and putting a pot on. It probably costs you $2 for the entire bag of decaf, even if you sell just 1 coffee you ve already covered your cost. Just something to think about. Not everyone can drink a lot of caffeine but still deserve to have a coffee they like. Dietary restrictions: Decaf.

My absolute favourite fast food place. Excellent food, prepared very well, and good service from the restaurant. My favourite meal is the teen burger combo with coke and onion rings. Perfection at its finest!
