Rustica Pizza Vino in Orillia

Picked up a special dinner for a get together. Apparently chicken parmigiana with mixed seasonal vegetables are the seasonal potato chips. Spent over $ 100 and still had to prepare food . I think they could put a little more effort into the meals. I dont think I will return even after speaking with owner.

A friend and I popped in for lunch on a whim while in Orillia on a busy Friday. We were greeted and served by a bright eyed, kind, and handsome server. Both the service and food was great! I loved the simplistic but thoughtful lunch menu, and my Italian sandwich was delicious. I look forward to returning soon!

How do you forget to place my order??? Tomato sauce needs help. Why does it take 30 minutes to get a drink order placed? So disappointed after waiting so long to get into this place. What is happening to this industry?

Love this restaurant! We had a wonderful first experience here. The heated patio was lovely and cozy! The food was tasty, the ambiance was great, and most importantly, the service was excellent! Our server was flexible and allowed adjustments to our order, and made wonderful recommendations! We had a special and memorable time before a concert. I would suggest making a reservation to ensure getting a table! Hope to return in the future! Thank you!

The restaurant is well decorated and has a nice vibe. Its in a good location close to the water in downtown. The staff is very friendly as well. The food can take a while to come out of the kitchen but it was very good, worth the wait. One of the best gluten free pizzas Ive ever had. Dietary restrictions: They have gluten free options.

Lemon chicken capellini is 5 star. Perfection in a bowl. Ricotta spinach calzone ...great quality ingredients. Huge portion. A little on the soggy side. Service was incredible.

We had a great meal.. Started with the wood fired garlic bread. Perfectly cooked crust, delicious baked garlic and just the right amount of cheese. After taking far too long choosing what to order from a list long list of tempting mains and pizzas, we settled on a cacciatore and a prosciutto pizza. Each was light and tasty with lots of toppings. We highly recommend and will be back.

This is a great little hide-away in downtown Orillia. I especially love visiting this Pizzeria in the summer time and sitting on the side deck, its enchanting sitting under the umbrella lit with twinkling white lights; you could almost mistake it for a French bistro in Paris! The pizza selections are interesting and delicious, who knew apples and arugula belong on a pizza?? Yum! This is usually a hot spot to dine and may prove to be difficult to get seating. I HIGHLY recommend making reservations, either online or by telephone. There is a paid parking lot close by and metered street parking. I highly recommend this restaurant!

What a great place! Greeted by Jenna and waited on by Preston our evening was perfect, topped only by the Pizza Caesar salad and Affogato. Love the attention to detail, well educated staff and vibe!

This place was recommended by friends before a concert , and yes the patio was delightful however we could not hear ourselves talk over the electronic music blasting. Maybe a different genre of music? quieter ? My meatballs were cold so sent back and had to wait for them while my partner was about to eat . My partners pasta was cold and tasteless but he didnt want to complain as i had already sent mine back . This review is to help the owners do better especially when its so expensive and a treat to eat out . There was one bathroom and it was dirty as both men and women share it . I doubt we will go back

The service at Rustica Pizza Vino was outstanding our waiter went above and beyond to make our experience memorable. The food was amazing, and the pizza was the best weve had in over a year. Thats saying a lot since weve been traveling by boat for a year and have covered over 6,000 miles. I had the FUNGHI pizza, and my husband had the CACCIATORE. Both were delicious, with perfect crusts and fresh ingredients. We also enjoyed the calamari appetizer, which was excellent. Overall, Rustica Pizza Vino provided an exceptional dining experience with fantastic food and top-notch service. We highly recommend it to anyone looking for great pizza and a wonderful atmosphere.

They had our reservation wrong. My daughter booked over a week before. Our server was excellent. The Arancini was 10/10. Wine choices were very good. My lemon chicken pasta was very bland, dry, and underseasoned I would have sent it back but didnt want to cause a fuss. Pizza was great. Gnocchi was okay. Patio is gorgeous.

One of the best places in the area to get Neapolitan pizza. The host Deagan was very sweet and kind person. She was very polite and professional in the service she provided and also helped us with the menu. I would definitely recommend others to try their Giro pizza, its one of the best

I had dinner at Rustica in Orillia, and it was an outstanding experience. Our server, Sam, was excellent attentive and friendly. The food was delicious; the charcuterie was beautifully presented, the gnocchi was perfectly cooked, and the meatballs were incredibly flavorful. The ambience added to the whole experience. I definitely recommend Rustica and look forward to going back!

Delicious food, very fresh and light (not heavy or stodgey like some Italian places). The atmosphere is lovely and welcoming, and all staff were attentive and kind. Would recommend to anyone visiting Orillia and will come back the next time we are in town.

Just got back from my celebrating my daughters 30th birthday here, 6 of us, food is excellent, everything on the menu is excellent. This has been our go to restaurant along with Lot 88 as we live in town. The service has drastically gone downhill last 3 times we have been in. 6 of us, 2 alcoholic beverages, 6 non alcoholic beverages, 7 entrees (one brought home), 4 apps, 4 desserts and coffee all around, bill $527. Dishes were not removed when we finished the apps only when I asked, no refill on coffee? $3.50 a coffee, I had 2 coffees , like a refill in same cup, $7, I am ok with all of this if the service was great, she was VERY nice, pleasant, kind but not a server. No ground pepper, chili flakes etc..it is Italian restaurant. Did not clear entree dishes when desserts came, we had finished before we ordered dessert, so had to clear as she was bringing dessert to the table, then didnt bring new cutlery as ours was on the plates that were just removed, and did not remove dessert plates (we all shared), and when the bill came, trying to make room for the point of sale payment terminal to pay the bill because of the dishes. I did say something very kindly to the girl about clearing them again. I will absolutely be back as the food is delish! But really? I have worked in the food industry for many many years, unacceptable for this tier of restaurant. Please train your staff, and for goodness sakes, DO NOT let them hang around the bar area, drinking coffee and looking around, because there is always a plate to clear. Linguine chicken is my fav btw!

Great food, ambiance and service. Everyone was incredibly friendly and accommodating to our 5.5 month olds needs. Samm the person waiting on us was amazing. The Smocchi Gnocchi was delicious and totally filled up on the Nutella pizza donuts

This was one of the best dining experiences in recent memory. Everything from the service to the food to the ambience (to the playlist) was ON POINT. We ordered the Caesar salad w/ chicken, Prosciutto pizza, Eggplant parm, and Limoncello Tiramisu. Still thinking about all of it. Will definitely be back and highly recommend this spot.

Ive been coming here for a while, its hard to walk in so you have to reserve before, but usually when Im eating there there lots of tables empty for my entire meal duration that are supposedly reserved. The food is hit or miss, in my last 2 visits the pizzas werent done right, pizzas were very wet with lot of gum line, even the simple Margarita, spaghetti and meatballs were very plain. The appetizers (garlic bread and calamari) were very good.

Nice looking place and one of the fanciest Ive been to. Delicious too..only complaint is, pictures near the stairwell are coocoo. (Silly ofc) But other than a lot of youth staff its a memorable experience. Vegetarian options: They state it easily...works well for me.

My friends and I, all the way from Toronto, recently visited this amazing restaurant and were absolutely thrilled by the delicious pizza they served. The staff was not only great but also added to the fantastic experience. This place had the best pizza I ve had in a while.

They hosted us for a private event as we booked Rustica for our grandsons baptismal celebration, just as we did two years ago for our oldest. Our first visit was fabulous! This time they were better. Superb food, great atmosphere, terrific staff. An absolute treat! Our server, Mike, was a gem. This was perfect for our perfect day!

Rustica recently hosted our intimate wedding and it was the most perfect day. From the ambiance, to the food, to the staff - every moment was perfect. I can t recommend this place enough for a nice dinner or a special event. Jenna, the owner even took the time to bend down and help cut my son s grapes from the charcuterie board. Mike was so attentive throughout the entire planning process. They care about every aspect of your experience and it shows. We are so thankful for all of them!!

This is a very nice restaurant with a great atmosphere, I definitely recommend it. The food and service is also amazing, I waited a while but it was understandable since it was a big order and the waiter even apologized for a 2 minute delay on my order because they wanted to make sure it was perfect. Reservation was very easy to make. Service was great and the food was very good. My girlfriend and I walked away full and happy! We both had a pasta dish but we will definitely be back to try a pizza. Update: Had family for a visit and we had Rustica for dinner. Tried the Ananas pizza. I was worried at first that the portions would be small. I was pleasantly surprised when I saw how big it was.

What a gem of a restaurant. Our server Mike was top notch and the food was equally amazing. We got a reservation pretty early on in the night and thought maybe we didnt need reservations but we were wrong. The place fills up fast and for good reason. One of our favourite restaurants ever!!! Honestly from the atmosphere, food to service everything is fantastic. The arancini balls are my favourite appetizer, the lemon chicken capellini is one of my favourite mains and honestly you can t go wrong with any of the pizza options!! The only downside is they are such an amazing restaurant you ve need to make those reservations EARLY but it s well worth it!!

Enjoyed some pasta, the Sunshine City pizza, an an appetizer - everything was wonderful! Went for our anniversary, and was one of the best meals weve ever had. Always have the best food and the best service, so glad to have this gem here in Orillia. My only complaint would be trying to get a table without booking in advance but that really just speaks to the quality of the experience you ll have here!

Best pizza in town, hands down. Chewy naopolitan style crust, great sauce and authentic buffalo mozzarella. And you have to try the oven baked lasagna, a real treat. Great ambiance, wine and happy servers. Treat yourself, but book in advance, its a very busy place!

We finally landed a reservation! It was nice here. We started with the calamari, and it was very chewy, then we both had a pizza with a glass of wine. She enjoyed it much more than I did (the pizza, I mean). The seating was off. The bench was too low for her, so we switched, and it was even too low for me...Im a big fella. The heat blowing down on us was pretty intense as well. Everyone on that side was mentioning it. Seating aside, the atmosphere was good, and our waiter was fantastic! Now I can say I finally dined at Rustica.

Right on the main street. Food amazing. Pizza baked in a wood burning stove. Very authentic, and not a pizza franchise. You wont be disappointed. Parking on the street (paid) of public parking lots throughout (paid). Vegetarian options: There are vegan options if needed.

Our first time at Rustica. Certainly not our last. What an amazing find in Orillia. Everything exceeded expectations. The Ramsay Cabernet Savignon was awesome, too bad it is not in the LCBO. Cesaer and beet salad starters were amazing. I had a real gluten free in restaurant made pizza, i was beyond surprised how good it was. My girlfriend had the smoochi Gnocci with spicy sausage....it to was amazing. Highly recommended Dietary restrictions: Gluten free pizza crust was the best i have had out, ever!!

My husband and I are obsessed with this place! Hands down the best restaurant in town. The food is amazing and really great quality. The service is always great and the atmosphere with all the lovely plants makes it even better. For sure the best pizza you will find as well. If you havent been here before, you need to try it.

So, I recently checked out Rustica, and let me tell ya, it was a total blast! The star of the show? That Mushroom Crustini Bread holy moly, its like a party in your mouth! The crunchy crustini with a bunch of mushrooms on top its like they invited all the flavors to dance. The staff was awesome too, not all uppity and formal, just genuinely cool folks. They hooked me up with the Mushroom Crustini Bread recommendation, and Im forever grateful. If youre after a good time, good eats, and zero snootiness, Rustica is where its at!

Dining out is always a challenge with my food sensitivities. I was so excited when I found Rustica and visited on a Tuesday evening. I had the calamari to start and the Sunshine City Pizza gluten free and with vegan cheese (love that they donate $1 of this pizza to local food banks - amazing!), and I devoured the whole thing. Calamari was an added treat as it was gluten free as well. Everything was so delicious, the patio is cozy and inviting, and the service was lovely. I live in Alliston and will definitely make the drive up to come back often.

We went there and had pizza, pasta and three app. It was theeee best food I ve eaten in a while. Nothing compares to the quality and farm fresh perfection in the area!!! We were there for a low key birthday celebration. We found a lovely table set aside on the patio. Lovely setting. The food was out of this world. The combination charcuterie and cheese platter was incredible. Seafood risotto, mushroom gnocchi, and sea bass were all raved about as we dined. All in all truly worthy.

I highly recommend this restaurant. Their food is consistently excellent. Great thin crust pizza. Amazing Smokey Gnocchi! Im always too full for dessert but one day perhaps I will have space! The only complaint is that its very hard to get a table because theyre so popular but sometimes you can get a last minute walk-in, especially for only a party of two, so keep trying!

Surprising good Italian food. Went as a suggestion from a friend not knowing anything about it and had a great meal. Salads, arancini and pizzas all hit the mark.

After more than two years of waiting . This restaurant is sooooo popular in the Orillia area, its always fully booked. We made it on last weekend. The food was delicious, waitress are friendly. Will come back for sure.

We had a fantastic meal last week. For starters, we shared calamari and a caesar salad. We think the calamari was the best we ve ever had. It was lightly battered, cooked perfectly and served with a delicious sauce. The salad was excellent as well. We also shared the mushroom pizza. As usual, the pizza was perfect. Our server, Michael, had a great sense of humour and looked after us really well. We like the atmosphere of Rustica. It s cozy and inviting.

Rustica Pizza Vino, the BEST Italian Restaurant in Orillia is an absolute gem, offering a delightful dining experience with amazing stone-baked pizzas and the best Chicken Parmesan Ive ever had. The cozy ambiance and friendly staff make you feel right at home. The pizzas have a perfect crust and flavorful toppings. The Chicken Parmesan is a masterpiece with tender chicken and gooey cheese. Its a haven for food lovers, and I highly recommend it.

We had late lunch early dinner today, July 23, we dined inside as it was quite hot outside. The restaurant is very clean, cozy, rustic feel. Staff are super friendly and polite. Had a couple of beers, calamari as an appetizer, trout salad, Dia Vola pizza. I personally would not recommend the calamari as it was on the bland side, almost cold, not crispy at all for fried calamari, also had a rubbery texture. The trout salad was mediocre, the trout were merely a few shavings, (see photo) not at all as described by the waitress when asked prior to ordering, (we may have misunderstood) The pizza on the other hand was very tasty, and had a nice crunchy crust. We would definitely go back for pizza, and try something else. Thank you for the wonderful service.

Only had a chance to come in for drinks and dessert but wow what a great atmosphere, staff and the drinks and dessert did not disappoint! I can t wait to come back and try some of their entrees!

Great Food and Service

Fantastic food. We sat on the absolutely gorgeous patio and enjoyed some wine and appetizers. Try the mushroom crostini - its like heaven on a plate. Will be back for sure. Especially for that mushroom crostini. Kid-friendliness: There were a couple families with kids eating inside. It looked kid friendly, and although our kids werent with us, we intend to bring them because theyd love it.

We love this restaurant!! My husband and I took advantage of the street closure on a Saturday night with our son, his daughter, their neighbor and their kids. What a wonderful experience! We tried a few newer craft beers on the menu and were really impressed. The food is amazing! I got the opportunity to view the outside patio with its lush Mediterranean feel. The restaurant itself is a combination of Australian and European design features as a nod to its owner and her husband. There was not an open table inside or on the patio. The wait staff are friendly and really helpful if you are having a challenge choosing one of the delicious menu items. So much care and research has gone into the menu offerings and it shows! Take advantage of the street closure on a Friday or Saturday night. The childrens store is open and has activities for your kids to enjoy. There is more of a limited menu for street seating as these are incredibly busy nights for the indoor and patio areas. However you will not be disappointed as the street menu items are varied and delicious. We tried several between us. There is such a vibrant feel to the downtown and to this restaurant in particular!

Food was incredible - while the pizza is authentically Neapolitan, there are local touches, like the Sunshine Pizza we had, that remind you that you are in Orillia. The staff was also lovely everyone we interacted with clearly enjoyed their job and they have an obvious camaraderie. We will definitely come again! Vegetarian options: Lots of excellent vegetarian options that are not an afterthought.

How is it possible the food is perfect every time? I love the consistency with the food and excellent service. Always accommodating as well if we need to squeeze +1 to our reservation which I appreciate. Sitting inside or on the patio is lovely too!

Every once in a while, a restaurant really is as good as everyone says it is. Preparing to move officially to Orillia (three weeks and counting!), we visited RUSTICA last night for the first time, and I promise Im sparing all hyperbole when I say this is one of the ten best restaurants Ive been to in my life. Ambience: 5 stars Decor: 5 stars Hospitality: 5 stars Service: 5 stars (thanks, John!) And most importantly, the food: 5 stars Its always a pleasant (if rare) surprise when you can say literally everything you put in your mouth was close your eyes and just enjoy the flavour amazing. This wasnt just dinner out; it was a journey. Menu: Appetizer - Mezza Board Drinks - Margarita, Moscow Mule Dinner - Margherita Pizza special, Chicken Parmigiana Dessert - Chocolate Mascarpone Cheesecake and cappuccinos Price: lower than you think, and totally worth it. Giro pizza was too salty. The skin on the sea bass was also bitter. This could ruin someones experience but the risotto on the fish dish as well as the rest of the fish was great. The Tiramisu was fantastic too. Favourite was the fried Zucchini. Still it could of been better

The entire experience was fantastic. The food was incredible, the ambiance was gorgeous and the service was great! This was the best calamari I have ever had. I will forever be trying to replicate this dish. I doubt any re-creation will compare to how deliciously balanced the palette of this calamari - I cant recommend it enough. The addition of picked onions to the caesar salad was a fun twist on a classic, and I really enjoyed the size and quality of the croutons. I had the proscuitto pizza, but it was so good, I ate it before I could get a picture. I went with friends, and the seafood risotto was apparently fantastic, as well as the arugula salad and fried zucchini. The elderflower spritz and the dragonfruit mango gin cocktails were fantastic! We had an amazing experience here! I dont know when I will be back in Orillia, but next time I am, I will be sure to return. Dietary restrictions: Gluten free and dairy free options available

The restaurant may be beautiful and have good food however, I am extremely disappointed in the service my friend and I received trying to book a rehearsal dinner. The event planner was spoken to in person and let us know to email all the information and they would book everything in. After 2 weeks and multiple emails we never got a response so we decided to call them today to speak to the event planner again. The woman who answered the phone blatantly disregarded us and told us to email the event planner. When she was told we had sent emails already several weeks ago she couldnt even muster out a decent apology. Again super disappointed and do not recommend if you are looking to book a special event.

Fantastic! This place is a must if you have not been here yet. Its not the biggest location but thats what makes it such a great experience. Staff are on point and go above and beyond. Mike was lights out with his service and if you get the chance to be served by him it will only make your night that much better. The rest of the staff were also amazing but mike was who we had the most interaction with. My wife and I will definitely be going here again. Jorge could take a few notes from Mike.

Very cozy place. Went on a chilly day for the patio seat and they provided blanket for us which is very considerate. Meatball is yum with the rich tomato sauce. The halibut is nicely done with refreshing lemon risotto.

This was by far the best pastas Ive had in years. We came with my husband and his parents and everybody enjoyed their food immensely. We were actually recommended by his parents who had been there multiple times saying it was one of the best places in Orillia and clearly they were right. Clearly, I recommend.

Good food & nice atmosphere. Weve been here a few times and its always been yummy. The zucchini friti is SO good, our go-to. I had the Seafood Risotto and it was overly lemony. I took my husbands pizza crust and dipped it in my risotto and it was really tasty, they should serve a garlic bread or something with the seafood risotto. My husband loves the prosciutto and arugula pizza. The pizza dough is fresh and sauce is good. The lights were consistently flickering which was distracting, and we had to wait half an hour to be seated although there were open tables on a busy Thursday night. Overall, Rustica is always a good place to go for fire oven baked pizza, apps and drinks.

Everything I have ever eaten at Rustica has been absolutely delectable, the service has been impeccable, and the atmosphere has felt warm and welcoming. I highly recommend Rustica. Vegetarian options: The vegetarian lasagna was some of the best that I have ever tasted.
