Good food once it arrived after a VERY,VERY last long wait. Two out of two drink glasses were grungy to the touch... One of them with lipstick from previous patron's on the glass. Cutlery was given to us WAY after our food arrived and they were hot out of dishwashing. Was unsure of cleanliness of the person's hands who brought them to us. Overall would not recommend this restaurant. Although the food was good, the cleanliness was VERY questionable. The servers were plainly pushed to the edge with little background support. Unclean dishes, food prep etc.
We often visit this resturant on Sunday afternoon following church. It's usually crowded and the wait time for food could take up to 45 minutes. We tend to overlook the wait times, because the portions and costs are reasonable. Staff is friendly, yet very busy. The resturant overlooks the main road and just beyond that, lake Simcoe. This resturant doubles as a curling rink, so if you're lucky, you may see a match in action! This is a wheelchair friendly resturant, and suitable for children. There are colouring books on the table upon entry to keep the kids occupied!
Great food. Always go there for breakfast when I am in Orillia. Staff is friendly and service is fast.
Sausage and eggs were properly made. The home fries were a bit soggy...not crispy. Servers were excellent. Prompt and polite.
This is the only restaurant in Orillia where you can get a view over lake Couchiching and lake Simcoe! Plenty of space inside, wide menu, friendly staff who have been there forever.
We booked a retiree breakfast for 20 people at this restaurant and couldn’t be happier. The service and food were amazing. Thank you to the staff at the Bay Side.
We have a large group that meet there regularly for breakfast. Service is very good and the waitresses are very pleasant and friendly. Bottomless coffee is served and table reservations are accepted. A Regular breakfast of two eggs any style, fried potatoes bacon ham or sausage and toast will run you around 14.00 with tip. This includes bottomless coffee , which is very good. I would recommend this restaurant for breakfast.
Best breakfast in Orillia. Great food and exceptional service every time we've been here. Lots of options for lunch and breakfast at a great price. Big portions. These guys work their butts off everyday and really care about their customers.

It was the only place that was open at 7am on my way through Orilla going north. Im going on vacation tomorrow and will be stopping in again. Parking: Loads of room, shares a lot with the recreational area, you can even park your trailer.
Food either over or under cooked, very inconsistent at best.
Took 90 minutes to get bacon and eggs . Will never be back.

UPDATE: Nothing changes here except the daily specials and the junior staff. Always made to feel comfortable and welcome. The breakfasts are worthy and filling. My Friday destination for brunch with great friends. Parking: The restaurant has dedicated parking. But, the larger Tudhope Park, adjacent to the restaurant, has more. During festivals and other celebrations, there can be a cost to the Parks lots. Wheelchair accessibility: A separate ramp inside is available for access to the restaurant from the foyer.

This has been our go-to place for breakfast, good food, reasonable price, friendly. The latest price increase, Jan 2024, has made this not as reasonable anymore! It is lesa to go to Stacks just up Atherley Rd. Bummer.
The food is good. Close to snowmobile trail. Staff are friendly. If youre lucky to get a window seat, you can look over Lake Simcoe Norths end. We really enjoy the breakfast at Bayside on our way up North. Parking is great, but this spot can get very busy, and even though its a massive parking lot, it can fill up. Dietary restrictions: Gluten-free Parking: 200 plus spots to park. Kid-friendliness: Kids like the place for its food and that its close to the park. Easy in and out.

What can I say? This place presented itself without failure of expectations. A quaint little spot surrounded by a great park, awesome trail and 2 lakes.

I have breakfast at the Bayside at least twice a month. Always good food, prepared right, right price. The waitresses are #1. With Help Wanted signs posted (like many places these days), I could easily get tired watching them on busy days keeping up with the orders, and making sure we have enough hot coffee in our cups, and keeping their friendly smiles. I wish I had that level of energy and still keep a smile on my face. With the good food and dedicated and friendly staff, this is my #1 breakfast restaurant.

The restaurant has been renovated, repainted, and has new tables and chairs. The tables have been rearranged to allow for physical distancing. Wide variety of breakfast foods on menu. Portions are sizable. Service times are quicker than before the pandemic. Also seniors specials are on the menu.. Pet friendly in that there are a number of barking spots outside.

The waitresses were very friendly and patient. Catered to my daughters make believe story she was playing. They were fast for how busy it was and the food was delicious as always. Kid-friendliness: The staff are very friendly and dote on the children. There are high chairs and boosters. Colouring books and crayons are available too.

Great place to eat. Many,many regulars. Great staff and service. Its a few hours from where I live, but I go there 3 or 4 times a year to have breakfast with friends. They only do breakfast and lunch. They are on the Lake, so you can enjoy a nice walk along the shore.
First time for breakfast here on a visit from out of town. The service is fast and friendly. The food is basic and less expensive than other places. They have special menu items for seniors. Its an open room, no partitions, and it was quite loud and crowded, with everyone talking. It is in a recreation complex and was busy with sports activities

What makes this place so good? The owners and staff! The breakfast is great and cooked to order. The coffee never runs out thanks to the attentive waiters. The atmosphere scores low, but the ambience is that of a typical breakfast joint, so its OK. Prices are in line with similar restaurants. Enjoy!
We always have a great breakfast here,weve tried a few other places but always come back,they are the cheapest in town,with great quality, and they didnt raise their prices,like others did,a little unnoticeable but still cheapest.

Our to go place for breakfast. The food is very good, the prices are still reasonable and the staff is fantastic. It does get busy. Vegetarian options: Omelettes, sandwiches are available as vegetarian options. There may be more but I usually always get and omelette . Parking: Located in Tudhope Park so there is a lot of parking. Wheelchair accessibility: There is a ramp that goes right up into the restaurant.

Found this place while on a day trip to the Barrie Orillia area google said they are a dog friendly place but they don t have a patio area or do they let dogs in having said this they are right by a park with lots of parking and picnic tables because of covid out of town parking is pretty steep for the park but the restaurant provides free parking stamp for 90 mins which was ample for us to put in our order / pick it up and sit by the water to eat! The actual food is pretty yummy ! And the portions are prefect . We got the western omelette/veggie wrap/chicken schnitzel and pork souvlaki! Service although we did do take out was amazing ! Would definitely like to go in for a sit down meal the next time we are around the area without our doggo!

Ive been here twice and both times the servers were great, food was served hot cooked as I asked and the prices are reasonable. The coffee- best cup o Joe in town!!! Really and its bottomless! Please dont change whatever brand you use.

Eli is the Chef and Owner of this Family Restaurant who has consistently cooked excellent food for over 15 plus years. Tula his Daughter is Charming and a Beautiful Hostess and Manager. Tracy and Wendy are the waitress and motivators for a great start to your day. Great Value and large portions.
