64 Mississaga St W, Orillia, ON L3V 3A8, Canada
Casual venue with a patio for locally sourced Canadian dishes, including steak, seafood & poutine.
The good: appetizer stuffed Yorkies was the star of the night very delicious The bad: waited 45 minutes to get the appetizer and an additional hour to get the main. Practically a two hour wait. The ugly : main course was very bad I ordered the ribeye steak and my other half orderd the stuffed pork chop both came with potatoes and seasonal vegetables the potatoes tasted like they've been under a heat lamp since they opened and the vegetables where no better. The stuffed pork chop was indeed not stuffed and was so dry it was hard to swallow. The ribeye steak lacked any flavour that a good ribeye would have it rather just tasted of salt alot of salt and over cooked from the asked medium rare I thought maybe the demi glace if you can call it that would save the steak however it too just tasted like very salty thick gravy I would expect way more at the $70 price point for just the steak The place wasn't very busy one table of 8 and around 3-4 more couples whom one was leaving and other half already had there food. The atmosphere was just disappointment not only from us but others around could hear multiple tables complaining of the food. The waiting nearly 2 hours for our food was exclusive to just us as two tables walked in a hour after we've been there and received the food before us I guess the premium dry pork chop and overcooked salty steak along with terrible sides takes precious time
Gave Era67 a shot after a previous subpar experience. This visit was much more in line with it's reputation and our expectations. Started with the stuffed yorkies and the bruschetta, highly recommend both. Looked at the menu before hand, had decided on the stuffed porkchop, but on hearing they had a special of prime rib, went with that. No regrets, I'll have to visit again to try the porkchop. The 2 people who had the lamb shank said it was the best lamb they've ever had. Steak was great too. The chocolate tort for dessert was a fantastic end to dinner. Service was top notch. Good winelist and the cocktails were good.
Definitely difficult to share my experiences of the takeout when we couldn’t get that far. Very disappointed, our family had a gift card we wanted to redeem last night and we called to place the order. They answered and said to call back in 15, so my mom calls back and it goes to voicemail. My mom leaves the order on the voicemail and asks if someone can call back to confirm. I was coming from Barrie for the order, and ran a couple errands beforehand. I show up to the restaurant to inquire about our order probably about 30 minutes later as we hadn’t received a call back and the lady brought over a gentleman who said he hadn’t checked the phone. It came off very they couldn’t be bothered to check. It was very dismissing and the restaurant didn’t seem crazy busy. Super disappointed as we had a lot of family over and were excited to have a nice family dinner. I’ve worked in customer service a long time and in management and was in disbelief of the lack of service and lack of apology/assistance. Absolutely brutal. I told them don’t worry about it, I was driving back to Barrie and can’t wait if the order is being started now but also crazy no one ever bothered to call my mom back.
Four of us had a delicious lunch here. The menu is varied and creative without being ridiculously long. Everything our group tried, from appetizers to dessert, was top-notch. Service was friendly and timely. We ate indoors because of the heat, but they have a nice outdoor patio, too. We would come back for sure!
The stuffed pork chop and warm mushroom & spinach salad are fabulous! When you book, ask for Cory to be your server! Very personable, professional, thoughtful and funny. Told us about the special date-night menu (It was a Thursday; $70 for two entrées, shared app and shared dessert), and the 15% discount given to patrons attending a show (one promotion available at a time, of course). Nice artwork displayed.
Bruce our lovely waiter, was very helpful entertaining and professional. We order the bruschetta and french onion soup for appetizers. This is hands down the best french onion soup I've ever had!! It was recommended by another store close by to try it as it's the best! I agree not overly salty, full of flavour and hearty. We then had red sangria made by Bruce and he did not disappoint! Highly recommend 👌 our entres were wild mushroom fettuccini. Full of king oyster mushroom, porchini, and a few others. It was my birthday and desert was on the house otherwise I was full. I tried the creme Brule which was a coffee flavour. I cannot say enough about all the delicious food, drinks and service. If your looking for a classy atmosphere and great service with amazing food and selection....look no further. This is the place for celebrating, getting together with friends or enjoying a nice meal with your significant other. Priced were decent and portions were above average. Enjoy this little diamond in the rough....five stars 🌟
We had a fabulous meal for our birthdays at Era 67! The atmosphere is quaint but elegant, and the staff is all super friendly. Our server was a lot of fun and made our meal that much more memorable. And the food, wow! Portion sizes are plentiful and everything was scrumptious. It's clearly made with so much love and care. Highly recommend the bruschetta, it was one the best I've had. Don't miss out on this place, you won't regret it.
Came here for dinner with a group of six people. Sat out in the patio as there is no indoor dining there yet. Very nice place with very good food and service. Our server Cory was very friendly and attentive. I highly recommend their scallops and mussels for appetizers.
I rarely ever post reviews but will do so here. Era67 used to be the place to go in Orillia if you wanted a night out with someone special. The food was always exceptional and the ambience was first rate. Its not like that anymore. The food is just ok. The ambience is not what it used to be. The serving staff are dressed overly casual. It took a very long time for our meals to come. Unlike the past, no bread was placed on the table. And to top it off, they refused to accept our Downtown Dollars which, according to Orillias BIA, is accepted by this restaurant and which we have previously used there without issue. There are now much nicer places to go in Orillia. If you want a romantic night out, this is not the place to go anymore. Its a shame really.
Don t trust the online reservation system. Had a reservation for 2 for tomorrow and they just called me and left a voicemail saying their system was turned off and to please join us another time .
Great food and pleasant wait staff . Love the local artists paintings on the walls
I booked a reservation online and they called me an hour later saying that they double booked and that I have no reservation which was for my mothers 70th birthday. They didnt offer any alternatives or even apologize. I would not recommend this place to anyone.
Today is Friday and made reservation via yelp, but the restaurant is closed without notice. We drove to there for two hours, that s unpleasant experience.
It was unplanned visit and surprisingly pleasant visit. Friendly and attentive staff, delicious food, interesting interior with local artists work displayed. Definitely recommended to visit this restaurant. Thank you to the staff who greated us inspite of our, not the best look after biking all the way from Barrie.
There is a quiet place with fantastic atmosphere and perfect board painting
Nice place with great food and service. Highly recommended.
Era 67 is almost obscure ... tucked behind a cobbled courtyard on a quiet part of Mississauga Street W. in Orillia. My friend and I met there for lunch today. I ordered the Wild Mushroom Alfredo with portobello mushrooms, asiago and a garlic and white wine cream sauce. I chose to add in some grilled chicken breast. It was delicious and hot and I couldnt finish the generous serving. My friend ordered the Prime Rib Beef sandwich with demi glace, aged cheddar and horseradish on a ciabatta bun which she paired with delicious fries. She also had trouble finishing. We each ordered a glass of wine and somehow found room for some Creme Brulé. We were lucky enough to have come on a quiet day and we were given the luxury of taking as long as we wanted. We explained to Dave (owner) who served us, that we hadnt seen each other in over a year and we were happy to have a no-pressure, leisurely lunch in order to catch up. He generously and unexpectedly gifted us each with an aperitif to honor the occasion! Im giving this restaurant 5 stars because the food was good and the customer service was above and beyond. We split the bill which divided out to $46 each including tax. Very reasonable for a filling and satisfying meal.
Service was 6/5! The staff were exceptionally helpful and friendly.
Corey was absolutely amazing. Ive never felt more comfortable with a server. The food was lovely and I would be pleased to try more dishes should I ever get a night to myself again. I had the lamb and it was fall off the bone and the portion size was just right. The veg were a nice al dente which I enjoyed. The atmosphere enjoyable with an excellent playlist. Brought me back to my youth.
Dietary restrictions: Chef is able to make gluten and garlic free options Parking: Street parking is free after 5:30pm and all weekend Food : 5/5 |
We made a reservation for this restaurant for 6:30 Friday June 21, 2024. We entered the restaurant behind another couple, who were looking at a menu. All of a sudden a short angry man came over and yelled no one here has a reservation? I replied that, yes, I did. He replied no you don t and I was taken aback and said yes I made one. He left for 10 seconds and said no I didn t have a reservation and we could come back in half hour. We assured him we definitely would not. I ve never been treated so rudely upon entry to a restaurant . I don t think they will be open much longer. We then went to Fionn McCools and had an amazing dinner with amazing service
We booked a table for 5:00 and received a confirmation to say we are booked. Arrived on time and were told they were fully booked and did not have any tables. I indicated we booked and had a confirmation and they insisted they were fully booked and that there were no tables available because the patio was not open. Really?? Not professional at all and they did not even apologize!
Delicious food, friendly and fun server. Happy to customize for allergies and specialty diets. Would absolutely go again! Wheelchair accessibility: I was easily able to navigate with my walker
Went here for dinner after skiing, the mussels were fantastic.
i was so excited to get their ceaser salad with chicken because you can never do ceaser wrong especially because they re reviews are so good. was so disappointed. the chicken smelled super weird and off putting. it tasted as dry as cardboard and tasted very off as if it was microwaved after being frozen and old. (chicken is also extra 5$! so this sucks) i asked for no croutons because of an allergy and they gave me croutons. the asiago cheese tasted like vomit and the ceaser dressing was extremely anchovy and garlicky tasting. really unsatisfactory and nauseating meal over all.
Dined at this restaurant. Food was good. But owner denied the use of the Orillia downtown dollars issued by the 2024 Winter Games Commitee for particpants. This restaurant is clearly on the restaurant go to list on the Winter Games website and hence it should be expected that the owner has prior agreement for the vouchers to be used. But somehow he refused to accept. He should have informed Winter Games Commitee ahead of time. Seems like a way to cheat for business. Very unethical.
100% recommend, went on a Thurs night for date night. App: yorkies. Main: porkchop and mashed potatoes. Dessert: Cheesecake. Staff were lovely, super helpful and welcoming.
We went here on a Thursday for the date night deal. $70 for an appetizer to share, 2 mains and a dessert to share. Every dish was delicious and and the date night deal saved us money! Excellent attentive service and nice atmosphere. We will definitely go here again.
Nice spot!
Food was delicious, beautiful place, friendly staff. had the trio the tomato soup was some of the best Ive ever had Food
Definitely a special gem of Orillia worth checking out The food is amazing, the people are kind and welcoming, the atmosphere is relaxing and romantic. Did I mention how good the food is? I highly recommend the Bruschetta. Perfect spot for date nights or special celebrations, they have private room reservations and catering available!
The food is great at this restaurant. The three star rating is for our New Year s Eve dinner not being made aware of a set menu at 75 a person. We heard a few people comment on this at tables around us. The food was worth 50 a person maximum. We felt like we were taken advantage of and pretty disappointed. You need to be upfront about things like this moving forward. Please.
Excellent food, elegant atmosphere, very attentive and friendly staff (thank you Bruce), lots of variety. This is a quiet setting so maybe leave the kids at home. Vegetarian options: See menu Wheelchair accessibility: Street level no steps
My family visits here on a special day. Seafood linguine is excellent and wild mushroom salad is also recommended. However, lamb may depend on your taste, but personally, the meat is not soft because it feels overcooked. The man who serves is well-mannered and kind. However, it is a funeral atmosphere when there are no customers because the interior has not been renewed for a very, very long time. In summer, the atmosphere is the best with outdoor tables and live music.
Had Stuffed porkchop, with a creamy mashed potatoes and the veg were each n all perfectly Delicious. Wow.
Sorry, I have to be honest. Totally not worth the drive. Slow service, flavourless food and way too expensive. Fine dining prices, but dining there, was not fine.
Wow. We were so disappointed after seeing the reviews. First time there and the place was dirty and tired. The upholstery was stapled to banquets so it looked like a student housing attempt at making a piece of junk look pretty for cheap. Chairs were uncomfortable, acoustics were horrible so it was terribly loud, and the service was abhorrent service. Demiglace? Are you kidding me? Straight from a package guaranteed. Splashed by the bucketful over an over cooked piece of meat. Garlic mash? Grey, cold, warmed over and gloopy. Sticky glasses. Virtually invisible server who reeked of smoke on the rare occasion that we were visited (so we know what she was doing lol). Cmon people. Do better.
Was there with a few friends Saturday evening before attending a show. Our server although she was busy was very friendly and attented to us. Food was good. Thank you.
Went for the first time on Saturday to celebrate my hubbys birthday. So glad I chose this restaurant. From the moment we walked into the door to the moment we left, the service was spectacular. I believe Cody was his name (sorry if I got that wrong) he was so friendly and attentive with a side of funny. The food was amazing. Everything we ordered was perfection. I prefer to support local than to do the chain restaurants and this is exactly why. Honestly they get a 10 out of 5. It was amazing. Thank you Era 67 for an amazing dining experience. We will be back very soon so we can try other items on the menu. Great Food, Great Atmosphere, Great Service!!!!!
Awesome service. Friends had halibut, surf & turf. I had the best ever seafood linguine. More seafood than ever, tasty sauce and al dente pasta. Oh yeah, and plenty of it. Highly recommend.
Great food and possibly the best service we have ever had, the waiter Cory was just perfect and we enjoyed our evening so much! Thanks a million
Chef Nick was absolutely fantastic to deal with regarding a large private booking we were making. Very professional and provided great menu suggestions. The food is delicious, atmosphere is intimate and cozy.
Nice place for dinner. Ive been a few times.
I will most definitely be returning for another meal! Beyond satisfied by the food, drink, atmosphere and the staff was wonderful!
Our family really like this restaurant. Our cottage is in the nearby town. Every time we go to Orilla to buy grocery. We always stop by to have lunch here. Good food, good serve. Specially the soups are rich. Everyone in our family five the thrumb up.
We discovered this amazing restaurant by mere chance, visited it 3 times over one weekend and will definitely be back. Everything we ordered was delicious! Some items, which usually disappoint at other places, are top notch here: salad greens are fresh and vibrant, fries are served hot with just the right amount of salt, burgers and paninis are made to taste and come out perfect each and every time. The service truly elevates your dining experience to another level (Dave, thank you for making us feel so welcome). We are already looking forward to our next visit to Orillia and Era 67!
Awful food. Sticky ribs were cold and tough. Steak was tough. Vegetable side looked like slop. Pasta was bland. Friendly service but awful food. Food : 1/5 |
Very calm, professional, and relaxing. Food was terrific, absolutely some of the best dining Ive had in Ontario.
TRY THEIR BURGER. It is actually amazing it reminds me of my nanas homemade burgers. Also their fries are like out of this world. Hot take as I know people usually order steak here - but trust me you won t be disappointed *drooling
Great lunch
A hidden gem in Orillia , this bistro is fine dining but also a casual atmosphere . The food was very good and the service amazing. My seafood pasta was delicious as well as the charcuterie board appetizer. Decor matches the atmosphere. Wine and liquor prices reasonable . Would definitely go again . Parking: Street and numerous spots . Wheelchair accessibility: Level entrance with the street .
Great food! Great service!
Sub standard fish and salad. Salmon was not cooked through. Potatoes very starchy. . Food : 2/5
Our recent dining experience at Era 67 in Orillia was an absolute delight, a treat to all our senses. The restaurant exudes a charming European ambiance, and the meticulously crafted interior only added to the allure. A special touch to our visit was the personal attention of the owner, who himself served our food, enhancing the intimate and warm atmosphere. This level of personal commitment to service, usually a rare find, left a lasting impression on our party of three. Now, to the star of the evening - the food. The lamb we ordered was expertly cooked, soft and succulent, doused in an excellent sauce that kept us reaching for more. The rib-eye steak mirrored the same high standard, cooked to absolute perfection, making every bite a savoury feast. The pasta Alfredo was an utter delight, each element from the perfectly cooked pasta to the rich, creamy sauce, coming together to create an unforgettable culinary symphony. The bruschetta offered a fresh and vibrant preamble to our main courses, the quality and flavor raising our expectations for the meal to follow. The sweet endings of New York cheesecake and crème brûlée were the icing on the cake. Both desserts were a pure indulgence, beautifully presented, and every bit as delectable as they looked. Surprisingly, for such a grand experience, the prices at Era 67 didnt break the bank. Considering the top-notch service, exquisite food, and the overall 5-star experience, the restaurant offers great value for money. In conclusion, Era 67 has not only satisfied our culinary expectations but has also etched itself as our favourite dining spot in Orillia. If youre ever in the vicinity, treat yourself to this exquisite dining experience - you wont be disappointed.
My dinner mates had both enjoyed this restaurant previously and we were looking forward to having a good time. We enjoyed their charcuterie board, each had a lovely entrée, and delicious desserts. Ill be back!
Absolutely friendly waiter who gave me a complimentary tart when he knew it was birthday. I miss genuine interactions like this and truly appreciate the amount of effort put into such a great night. Vegetarian options: Mushroom linguine
We ordered 3 dishes. 2 sent back. The fish was not cooked (frozen inside) and the salsa was spoiled. In general wired experience. Food
Beautiful night out, excellent experience, havent been out in a long while. Food was delicious with quick service, beautiful cozy setting. Fair pricing on food. The mushroom linguine was great. Only possible negative would have to be the prices of drinks, but everywhere is on this trend I think.
A very positive experience from the time we walked in the door, till we left. Friendly and helpful staff, our server Corey was awesome. Chef did an excellent job on our meals. Will definitely be back next time we in Orillia
A blessedly quiet place with good food and personal service.
Saturday evening dinner out. Food was hot and flavourful. Presentation was beautiful. Stuffed Yorkies are a must. Service was exceptional and prices on point for quality of food.
Love the attention to detail from staff, great customer service. I had a warm salad (can t remember the name but it was delicious) and the bruschetta (best I ve had!). I was there for a work dinner and I would definitely book them for future events if I have any in the near future Dietary restrictions: The manager paid a lot of attention to my restrictions and was respectful of my concerns. Always appreciate these efforts it goes a long way
This is our go to spot for our celebrations. We had an amazing New Year s party in their private room. More recently I held my birthday celebration in their front lounge with 20 of my closest friends. The food is great and the servers are so much fun!
Great food, excellent service. My favourite restaurant in Orillia!
Had a wonderful dinner. The quality if the food is excellent. They take care to ensure the menu is well thought out and paired. We had the lamb and it was very tender and flavorful we also were there on the bight of one of their specials so had the opportunity to have a full rounded meal (app, mains and dessert) for a reasonable price. Server was delightful and atmosphere was nice, not your average chain restaurant worth your time to visit.
Cozy place in the heart of Orillia
The lamb shank was delicious. Will definitely be back to try other menu items.
No doubt...add this to a place to visit and return. Inventive menu that offers new twists on old favorites. Staff was friendly and invested in providing service.....soooo good. Pricing was reasonable given the stature of the menu and inviting atmosphere. GO.
If your looking for an elegant and special night this is the place to go! Wonderful staff and AMAZING food! Everything was perfection! Beautiful charcuterie board with lots of options are perfect for wine nights with your friends or even date nights, the house made bacon jam was my favorite! Will definitely be coming back!
Excellent service and enjoyed the food as well!
Fantastic food and service was top notch.
Staff was welcoming and prompt, even though ours was a last minute reservation. We had the prime rib, and it was the best weve had in years.
Perfect spot- the right amount of comfort and ambience. Special rave for our server, Sam- personable, and helpful with suggesting other attractions in the area. Food was high quality and well prepared. Burger and fries were several steps above the typical fare (awesome fries), and my wife was pleased to see lamb on the menu. Would definitely return here if we find ourselves in Orillia again.
The best service. Food that was amazing. Corey asked us to come back. We will. Better still - we will spread the word. Intimate setting. Can easily talk and be heard. This Orillia restaurant topped a great day.
Scrumptious food and professional service. Never an off experience.
Salads and service were good. Unfortunately the kitchen was very poorly organized and meal took close to an hour to arrive. Steak was poor cut of beef and poorly cooked. Would not recommend.
Dietary restrictions: Wedding there todayOkay bye
Lunch was OK
The food was great. Parking: Limited
Recommended restaurant in downtown Orillia. Went for lunch, but this place is well known for their dinner. Lunch menu was modest with a variety of sandwiches and pasta options. The paninis were good, and the appetizers were also delicious. The sriracha aioli was definitely the highlight (on the salad and side of fries). Shoutout to our server Cory who as super friendly and entertaining. Definitely will give the dinner menu a try next time Im in the Orillia area.
These reviews must not be real because the meal was hands down, one of the worst meals Ive ever eaten. The service was great but that is not why Im posting this review today. From the moment we walked in, I noticed the music, it sounded like they just turned the radio on. Even if it wasnt, the music did not fit the ambiance, or maybe it did now that I think of it. We were seated and my arms were greeted with stickiness from the edge of the table. I knew my experience was going to be grand. The menu did not look very appetizing but we gave the black garlic bruschetta, shrimp and scallop and cesar salad as apps a try and my husband had the chicken supreme and I the bean ratatouille. What a disappointment. The only black thing about the bruschetta was that they drenched it in balsamic glaze which killed any chance for decent flavor. The Cesar salad looked at tasted like pre chopped romaine from a bag, kraft bottled dressing with fake n bits. The scallops and shrimp were the worst of them all. 3 tiny shrimp and 3 tiny scallops drenched with this gross cranberry jarred jam, the taste wasnt the issue it was the price at $28!!!! For 28$ one would expect MORE food, not 6 measly pieces of pre-frozen seafood. What a rip off. By that point we were turned off by the food. Chicken supreme was stuffed and tasted pretty bad. It sat on a strange bed of risotto which I can only describe as risotto mac and cheese. They also topped it off with that cranberry jam, why? Who knows.. but they need to stop using it because its not appetizing at all. The white bean ratatouille had undercooked white beans and eggplant which sat in a pool of ragu. From what I hear, the restaurant is under new management which explains the poor taste in quality and food. A little tip for the chefs; care about the food you are preparing.. care goes a long way. There was no care or love in this food. I will not be returning.
Excellent food and service, highly recommend the lamb shank. Tender and flavorful!
We dined here with family a few days ago. Everyone enjoyed their meals. Service was excellent as well. Will definitely return.
David is the most inconsiderate manager (sorry pretends like manager) needs to learn how to deal with cx. All the reviews you see on this page are fake. Think before you get in
Brought my parents up for dinner to see a show and we were greeted by David at the door and he continued with his exceptional service throughout the entire night. The food was phenomenal from the appetizers to the dessert. I would highly recommend this restaurant I
Thank you Chef Nick for making my husbands 60th birthday spectacular catered meal! Just delicious and so well organized!
Amazing, Food and service! 4th time here and already looking forward to the next time! Do your self a favor and give this place a try.
This is my personal favourite restaurant in Orillia! You absolutely cannot go wrong with the menu. Best vegetarian option in town, the mushroom linguini is to die for. Steaks are also top tier, aged and cooked perfectly. Great atmosphere and accommodating staff. Definitely a great place for a romantic evening (special two can dine on Thursdays!) or a get together!
Excellent customer service and great food. Atmosphere is very relaxed.
Over priced $30 appetizers was 4 shrimp and 3 scallop . What? Alfredo sauce was burnt nothing special here for $160 dinner with a glass of wine.
We ordered the halibut with risotto and it was delicious!! Service was good as well, would definitely recommend!
Sorry to say that this wasnt a great experience this time. Food was ok but it was us and another couple and we were seated right beside them in a large and vacant restaurant so quite awkward. Not the same as Ian and Sarah..
First time dining here and the food surpassed our expectations! It was beyond amazing! Everything we ate was so DELICIOUS!! Fresh ingredients, flavourful and good portions! Our server was awesome as well! It was my husband s birthday and they gave us a piece of cheesecake on the house! It was soooo delicious!! We will be back for a date night dinner soon!!
Had the tartare, the stuffed yorkies, soup and braised lamb. Everything was absolutely fabulous. Coleen is a gem - amazing service! Highly recommend.
Incredible!! Highly recommend this beautiful restaurant. Great atmosphere, very warm staff and Chef Nick is on point!! We had their garlic white wine cream sauce mussels to start, perfection. My main, the stuffed portobello mushroom with a side of scallops, delicious. And my husband had the Chefs Special which was a surf and turf featuring a Ribeye, shrimp, blackened garlic mash, veg and au just/gravy dip, amazing. Everything was cooked to perfection, we will definitely be back soon!! Thank you for making our night Corey and Chef Nick Also all covid precautions were taken to make us feel safe.
While I havent been able to dine-in at Era 67 (thanks covid) since I first went on a first date 9 years ago we had the pleasure of enjoying their take home Valentines and Christmas dinners! The valentines beef wellington, potatoes and vegetables were AMAZING!! Everything came vacuum sealed with basic cooking instructions that were easy to follow and ensured I could not mess it up! Both times I have ordered chef Nick has been flexible and accommodating with dairy/gluten free options and because my husband is a picky eater also didnt think twice before subbing out apps for us! We cant wait to dine-in soon but until then takeout will be a staple!!
Always an amazing meal whenever we go.
We ate at Era 67 tonight for dinner and thoroughly enjoyed the food, accommodating service and atmosphere! We strongly recommend this restaurant!
Amazing as always. Cory always goes above and beyond to make it an incredible night out!
Had an amazing dinner...the service was wonderful and the food delicious
Era is awesome. Excellent food and fantastic service. Ive been here a couple of times, they are very accommodating and the menu is top notch. Had the prime rib dinner last time...bloody lovely!
Stuffed portobello was really good, the risotto was the best Ive had. My husband didnt love his lamb, but the crab cakes were just ok. Right now, during pick up only, I walked in to an empty restaurant. My food was right by the door (easily could have grabbed it and left). I called Hello loudly several times for someone to come. I ended up having to walk all the way back to the kitchen where I could hear everyone. Finally someone heard me and came to cash me out. That soured things for me. Its a weird time right now, but I didnt like having to chase down staff to pay for my $90 meal. Definitely wasnt impressed enough to return and give them a second chance during regular sit-down times.
excellent food and friendly service well worth the price.
. They had 2 days to order & plan the menu. We saw a few changes during the 2 days before we went. Great patio, inside not accessible. Staff was fantastic, menu was well rounded, with something for most everyone. Well prepared, nicely presented, tasted wonderful. CANT WAIT TO GO BACK!!!
We had an amazing experience last night at Era 67! We had wedding reception plans for my sister change last minute, the team at Era 67 took us in last minute! The servers were super accommodating to our needs, even allowing some set up of tents on the patio the night before. Sam served our four tables with grace and charm. Food was fresh, hot and delicious. We cant recommend this place enough!
Loved the food and the service! Our server Sam was very personable, helpful and pleasant. Nice patio not just on a sidewalk and not the least Great food at a more than fair price!
Era 67 came to our rescue when our daughters reception plans were suddenly changed due to new Covid-19 restrictions. Era 67, particularly Sam, was very accommodating by providing a dry dining experience on their patio, serving delicious meals, and giving very hospitable service for our small group of wedding guests. Sam worked extra hard to help make this a special experience and from first contact to the end, she kept in excellent communication with us. All of this was provided with only one days notice before the wedding. We are very grateful to Era 67 and to Sam for helping to make our daughter and son-in-laws day very special and we highly recommend them.
service was great. food was ok. soup was great, but I didnt care for the prime rib sandwich.
The rib eye and the stuffed porkchop were fabulous as was the seafood chowder. Katherine, our server, could not have been better. Her suggestions were spot on and she made the night.
Friendly staff, great food and good service.
Just came from Dinner Friday evening. It could not have been a better experience! Our Waitress/Waiter/Wait Staff - Holly - could not have been better. She was friendly and informative, there when needed and not there to bug us. Thanks for such a great experience!!
Fantastic restaurant, great service and delicious menu. Would highly recommend!
Stopped for lunch. The food was very delicious, and the service was excellent! We will definitely go back
Unfortunately, our first visit in a couple years (due to covid) was pretty disappointing. I have given a three star rating in recognition of the industry struggling with staffing due to covid; as our experience was more of a 2-star. We began our visit with being informed that several items were unavailable. Our meals were lacking the flavour and quality we had remembered Era 67 providing and I was disappointed to hear the house chips are no longer offered and my sangria was not a sangria at all but maybe wine mixed with OJ. I hesitated leaving a review as I did have so many great experiences here in the past but this visit was not what we hoped for, nor what the price point represents. Hopefully it was just an off-night and others have better experiences.
Great for a semi-private dinner., Interior design is unique. I will return for another experience.
We ve been lucky enough to eat here twice this past summer. Both times, the food and service was absolutely superb. Looking forward to visiting again! I ve had the lamb (melt in your mouth), and the salmon (delicious and cooked perfectly). The Brie stix appetizer is not to be missed!!! Yummm!
One fantastic restaurant, our waitress SAM was one of the best Ive had in many years the service and food was absolutely outstanding I would highly recommend this place.
The food is delicious and the wait staff are excellent. Service was prompt. I had the salmon and my husband had lamb shank. So good. Plus crab cakes that were yum. When we were there on a Friday evening there was a musician providing enjoyable dining music.
The food was superb as usual. Friendly staff and nice and relaxed out on the patio.
Patio. I had Ceasar salad and Yorkshire beef aoili thinghys. Delicious. We were a table of six and everyone enjoyed there meal. Even the bill wasnt horrible. Service was decent.
First time visiting Era 67, had the mussles, lamb and stuffed chicken. Everything was great along with great service.
We had a great meal on the patio tonight. Amazing service and fantastic food. We will be back soon
The best food went to the worst food ever when it changed to new management... Dont waste your money! Awful awful food!!
They never disappoint! Another fantastic night and awesome food. Thank you all, well see you again soon!
Top drawer! We went for the Flavours of Lake Country price fix $35 for 3 courses in this weeks menu. Salad, chicken with fusilli pasta in a rose sauce and creme Brule for dessert. Were sensational! My friend had the pork with cranberry jam, roasted garlic mash and pumpkin cheesecake. Sorry no pics but highly recommend and Dawn our server was also fantastic!!! Will definitely be back all the way from Midland!!!
Highly recommend this restaurant. Food was fabulous...so decadent!! Cooked to perfection and amazing flavours. Excellent portion sizes. Server, Dawn, was great. Very attentive without being pushy. Check their website for NYE details!!!
Lovely find on Orillias Main Street. Fabulous, high quality food with excellent service. Very good value too. We had a small family lunch gathering and were treated kings!
Even with changes to the chef recently, the food was below satisfactory. We were in a larger group, and many of the orders came under cooked. The risotto was hard and chewy. The steak was a cheap cut not worth the price. Appetizers were cold. The prices are far too high to justify the food. By not buying quality ingredients it shows in the output.
A great staple restaurant, excellent food and prompt friendly service. We enjoyed Lamb Shank for dinner, the meat fell off the bone !! Only one disappointment; no Canadian wines are offered on the menu.
My first time there tonight. Excellent service. Atmosphere is quaint and elegant.. Food amazing!!!!!!
We had a very delicious meal last night at Era67 the duck wings were awesome. Koodoos to chef Nick for preparing such a great dinner. Dinner and service was a great experience!!
Had an awesome evening. Went for dinner with my wife and another couple for the Barrielicious menu. Our server Jan , gave us exceptional service and the food was really good. I really enjoyed the flavors that they combined for our meal. Really enjoyed our evening. Thank you very much !
A fantastic evening! Thank you to Kira, Jan, Sam and Nick. We completely enjoyed our evening. The food , service, and ambiance was absolutely perfect. Alex and I thank you for everything.
Great food, nice place.
Service was good!
This was a First for me- Ive eaten all over the globe- but never had I had my paid dinner stolen from me via missing food in my take-home bag.. I ate probably a quarter of my dinner and to my shock when I opened up the take-away container the next day most of my food was missing! Unreal. I was so mad. Yeah- thats just shady move Era 67. Bad form.
My boyfriend and I came here for a date night and it was amazing! Delicious food, our server was fantastic, the atmosphere was great! Highly recommend.
We so enjoyed ourselves on the patio this evening! Sam L was an absolute blast; she looked after us with care and humor, and really added to our positive experience. OK, the mussels? Best Ive had in eons! Going out in Summer 2020 is a little more challenging than in the past but Era 67 has created a safe, comfortable atmosphere. Thank you, Sam and Era 67!
Such great service and crab cakes had excellent flavour
Wide selection of interesting dishes
Had my birthday dinner here, the main I ordered was market fish and the appetizer was sea scallops. It was really delicious that I almost decided to go back again the next day. Strongly recommend this!
Service was great. Steak cooked on point
Very friendly staff and really enjoyed our lunch. Was our first visit and we ll definitely be back.
Great outdoor patio, food is decent but this is a real pricey place to eat.
The food is superb. I got take out and was very pleased. The staff was a delight. Very recommended
Era 67 was an amazing venue for our intimate wedding reception this October 2020. Kira, the General Manager, was very polite and professional in all our interactions with her and she made sure that our reception dinner was exactly how we wanted it. My husband and I are both foodies so we appreciated that the dinner options were definitely up our alley. Our guests were all very content with the quality and portions of food and beverages during our reception. The servers were all so attentive and friendly throughout the evening, ensuring that we had everything we needed. The pandemic restaurant restrictions were still in effect, but this was handled gracefully and the evening was an overall success. We highly recommend Era 67 as a wedding reception venue and we look forward to returning for a date night dinner down the road. Thank you, Kira and all the Era 67 team, for being a part of our special day!
Wonderful food and great service. Well-spaced tables and attention to covid precautions.
I have never been disappointed with any meal or service here. Great, affordable lunch. There soup, salad, sandwich special is always fantastic. We need to keep supporting local businesses now, more than ever!
Great lunch. Fresh food and friendly people who work there.
The serving staff are so friendly and welcoming they are enough to make us want to return. The new chef is innovative and.a perfectionist from the.looks of it. The food is amazing.and the.espresso martini is fantastic. Qould definately go back
Went to the restaurant in the summer for Barrielicious and was disappointed. Tried again for the New Years dinner tonight and was equally disappointed. Our waiter Cory was amazing but unfortunately the meal was undesirable. The bacon on the scallops was not seared, the onion soup was not broiled and the wellington was well done when told it would be medium rare and was served with crunchy broccoli. The creme brulee for dessert was dripping off the spoon.
Very much impressed - not cheap but great food and good ambiance
They used to serve LOCAL craft beer here at one time but now its just Molson and Sleeman. I find it strange that a place that has a Shop Local sign inside the front door and uses the word local over and over again describing their menu, serves beer from a foreign owned Brewing giant whos very last concern would be about supporting local. This restaurant could easily support local breweries as there are many within less than 100km. Flying Monkeys, Redline, Barnstormer, Horseshoe Valley, Sawdust City, Muskoka to name a few.
Great place with an exceptional customer service and delicious food!!
Food & service were great. A lovely spot!
Love Cory!
First time at Era 67 and we had lunch. Great service and great food. Stayed a little longer than should have as we talked with our best friends. Coffee refill was offered by our hostess. Nice and cozy place and must be nicer in the summer. We will be back. Thanks for the experience. Worth the drive from Barrie for us and from Midland for our friends. Cant see why anyone would give less than 5 stars. Please dont change the attitude and ambience at least until we have a chance of enjoying a nice dinner. I wish I remembered our hostess name. She was great. Made us feel welcome. Thank you.
Just had an amazing lunch as a part of the Flavours of Lake Country menu. Food was flavorful and staff was great.
Food was excellent and service was very friendly and attentive. Lovely atmosphere too!
Great food and excellent service. Cory was a gem. Rarely have seen service like that! Thanks Cory!
Excellent food and service
Absolutely phenomenal place. We had a bachelor party of 11, they gave us a private room, split the bill however we wanted, service was amazing, food was incredible. If youre looking for a great night out, this is the place to go
Visited your establishment yesterday and thoroughly enjoyed our steak which was cooked to perfection. Service was very good. Will definitely return.
I am very disappointed in my experience at Era 67 on May 11th 2019. I was told to submit my experience through the website as it would reach a manager (as there was not a manager present the Saturday evening to address our concerns). I am posting a public review as I sent a message on May 13th and am very surprised that I have not been contacted. I booked dinner reservations for Saturday May 11th for my family to celebrate Mothers Day. When we arrived at 5pm to our reservation we were told that several menu items were unavailable (the halibut, filet mignon, pork chop and later on the duck was out). We were told this was due to Mothers Day the next day however I wish I had been told this when I booked reservations as I have family members with dietary restrictions. We were then told there would be a dinner special however the waitress advised the chef would not tell her the special... at 530pm we proceeded to order (also didnt understand how the chef wouldnt know what the special would be for the evening). We did not get our salads until 615pm and our meals until 650pm. We were told repeatedly that our meals were being plated at 620pm, and at 630pm. We were very disappointed to receive our meals as a few of us had ordered the poutine with a beef back rib and did not get this meal, we had some bits of meat (very small portion) and our waitress told us what we ordered wasnt actually on the menu anymore and our menus were not correct. Since we were starving we ate what we were presented and mentioned we would like to speak to a manager. The salads we received were extremely small portions and my other family members had ordered the 8oz burgers and these were not close to 8oz. I have eaten at Era 67 before and not had these issues. We were then told that there was not a manager on site and the least they could do was take 10% off our bill which was not sufficient considering our experience. We were told there was a new chef and new menu switching over in the next few days, however these should not be reasons for not getting the items we ordered. As a higher priced establishment the food and service we received was not comparable to the price charged and since there was not a manager onsite I assume that is why we could not get our bill rectified as deserved. Wondering why a restaurant on a Saturday evening would not have a manager present. We were under the impression that the manager would be reaching out to us after we submitted this experience on the website to rectify the situation. However, after waiting weeks for a response (still nothing), my family and I will not be returning to this restaurant, I would give zero stars if I could.
We enjoyed our visit. We had some wine and appetizers. They were good and the wait staff was friendly.
Ok for customer service, food is not what I expected. I was hoping for better quality.
Went on a Thursday night to celebrate my son s birthday. I have always had a good experience on a weekend and thought this would be a lovely option All you can eat mussels on the website was not available as well as appetizers on the menu. The best part was the ceasar salad. My husband s $35 steak was extremely thin and over cooked, my panko crusted haddock was burnt on the bottom my son s seafood jumbolaya was fair and his gf s chicken supreme was dried up and basically a chicken breast with a small amount of cheese in the end. I asked if I could order fresh bread and we got 4 thin slices cut from of a dried roll. When they advertise food all from Orillia, I m sure they shop at Metro. A $35 steak should not be 1/4 inch thick. I have no problem paying for meals that are delicious and cooked properly. $215 later and we wont go back.
Great restaurant! I went about 6 years back and the atmosphere, people and food were all exquisite ... I will be going back this Sunday for the first time since. I believe it is under new ownership since than. I will update this review if necessary.
It was the folk festival and the restaurant was empty. Our server ( Darla) was great and really the reason we didnt get mad. The food was no good. Darla was doing everything possible to handle the fact dinners came out individually and in fact the reason we were there was for my mother in law 80th bday and she was the very LAST one to receive? We as a group felt so bad for Darla who was doing everything she could! 1 group of 13 in a empty restaurant for a very special occasion for Darla for the food and time it took whoevers was in the kitchen that day!
We have mixed review about this restaurant. Perhaps it is because we got there almost at closing time. So lets give them the benefit of the doubt. The establishment is pretty, medium size, with a large outside front patio. They have a small menu, and the night we got there they didnt have any specials, and by the time we got there, they had run out of a couple items in the menu. Our server was pleasant. An interesting appetizer was the fried brie sticks, like mozzarella sticks yet made with Brie cheese, very rich and very good, although the aioli sauce served with it was too rich for it (it was a delicious and well-made aioli though). It would be better served with a jam that has some acid to it to balance out the richness. The spring greens salad was simple but fresh and well dressed. The spring pea soup was fresh and good, with a very different flavor (hints of coconut and fenugreek) yet it didnt taste like bacon nor was it served with a dollop of sour cream as stated on the menu. The mussels came in a creamy white wine sauce as noted in the menu. It was good, but it takes getting used to a creamy white wine sauce on mussels as opposed to the traditional more liquid white wine sauce. The seafood fettuccine was the best dish of the night.
Bad food.. Felt sorry for the waitress.
The meal was excellent. Austin, our server, was attentive, helpful and efficient making the whole experience very enjoyable. I would definitely return and highly recommend. 5 stars. It was our first time. Had attended a play at the opera house and walked up the street to Era 67. I found it originally when booking tickets for the opera house. Clicked on places to eat nearby and Era 67 popped up. Liked the fact that I didnt have to move my car after the performance. Very impressed with everything including decor, ambience, service and food.
Very delicious, in the past has not been what I expected but today was spot on. They have a new chef in house and the food has much improved
I enjoyed my meal, however my guest from out of the country was not thrilled with his steak. Overall I liked this place and will return.
Great food!! Fantastic atmosphere!! GM makes the evening very enjoyable. Highly recommend going to Era 67. Cheers.
Okay food - great service
Meal was delicious, the mussels were the best Ive had in a long time. We had Austin as a waiter and he was fantastic always checking up to make sure we were happy with our meals and had everything we needed, he made the experience even better. Would highly recommend this restaurant for a nice evening out, the atmosphere is so nice and cozy as well.
Amazing dinner! Food was excellent!! Service was excellent. Highly recommend this restaurant dont waste your money at Rama for dinner!!
Very good service and food and cleanliness.....I definitely recommend it.
Delicious! You have to try the fried brie its so good.
Prime rib very fatty. But service and ambiance great. They went out of there way to accommodate us. I tried to make a reservation but they were booked at the time we wanted. They had a cancellation and called us an hour before our designated time time to fit us in. Now that is customer service.
Classy place. We showed up without a reservation. Lucky we were early...the staff accommodated us. It was my mothers birthday so this worked out great. The ambiance and service was great. Our server Cory was TOP NOTCH. Offered us great advice from menu choices to things to do in town. We will come back anytime we come to Orillia.
Very good service and decor. Lunch mediocre. Soup very spicy even for me which chef replaced with a very bland one for my dining partner. Spinach salad very refreshing. Asiago, bacon & tomato sandwich only soso.
Outstanding service, food and drinks. The staff and owners went way out of their way to treat our company event so very well. Weve been before and it was great, tonight was particularly special, this is the best fine dining restaurant we have had the pleasure in this whole region. I cannot say enough good things about ERA 67 , i highly recommend it. Well done , you should be proud of yourselves for all you did for us tonight. Like opening up on your night off. My goodness we so appreciate your service and great food. Doug
Really enjoyed dinner but the creme brulai was just toooo rich.
Awesome filet mignon. Everything was good. Cory was great.
Delicious!
Excellent food and service.
Food is very, very good...thanks.
Always great service and even better food. Highly recommend
