I had the famous Archies burger and the Buffalo chicken sandwich. They were amazing, I have been around Orillia trying a couple of the sit-down restaurants, and only one so far has the same quality for burgers as this place. I was recommended this by a coworker, and Im glad I gave them a shot because they really did nail it. Dietary restrictions: I cant have American cheese, and they had cheddar cheese, which is easier on the stomach with no extra cost! Parking: Its an entire plaza. You can get lots of parking here

This place is like a time warp I just absolutely love the decor and atmosphere so much. The food is what brings me back . I got the daisy duke chicken sandwich and it was one of the best chicken sandwiches I ve eaten . Juicy seasoned chicken on a brioche with crispy fries and a dad s root beer. It really was the perfect combo. You ve made a very happy customer out of me and I will be sure to let the whole world know they are cooking something special at Archie s Famous

The BEST place to get a milkshake and the burgers are top notch. The chicken seems to be hit or miss, whether they cook it too much, but thats the only negative thing I can find.

Has become one of my favourite places to eat. My favourite is the buffalo chicken sandwich and a strawberry milkshake! They also have good smash burgers. They keep it interesting with promotional menu items each month. Only suggestion I have is that they take phone/online orders. I know they do skip the dishes but businesses always charge more on those sites and all I want to do is order ahead and then come pickup.

This place was amazing! From the food to the atmosphere, felt like stepping into a 1950 s diner with a classic twist. First off, the food is so well priced for what you get and the portions are great! The burgers are excellent and the smash patty you could tell is homeade. The fries were excellent too. The milkshakes were to die for. I had the birthday cake one and I loved it ! My mom and I loved this place so much after leaving, we already want to come back and we live an hour away. The service was excellent too. Fast and so so friendly. Definitely 100/10 recommend this place.

Awesome food, friendly staff, for the same price as getting basic meals from mcdonalds I was able to get a much better meal here with a shake included! The place is done up pretty sweet too!

Finally a good burger joint in Orillia. A bit pricey but Im willing to pay for this fantastic burger. The famous archies sauce on the burgers or the fries is such a nice touch. Milk shakes are a nice treat too. I love the monthly specials, fun and usually retro inspired.

Finally had the pleasure to try this place, the quality of the product is superb and at a price comparable to fast food combos if not cheaper in some cases! Perfectly garnished burgers, fries seasoned on point and top notch service!

This is my son and I s new fav place!! Tried it on skip and went in 4 days later for lunch. WOW the place is decorated so cool and the colours are amazing! Lol BUT THE FOOD!! My husband and I went here for the 1st time tonight, and we were pleasantly surprised as its not very often that a place exceeds its reviews. It did exactly that. The food was delicious, the atmosphere was awesome, staff were attentive and friendly and the place was very clean. Loved the old school looks and sound. It is literally our new favorite restaurant. Went in for the first time last Friday. My husband and I both had burgers. I had fries and he had onion rings. I had the shake of the month. It was crazy busy. Our food still only took 15 minutes and was well worth the wait. The staff were friendly and exceptionally efficient.

Really enjoyed the food and service. Would give it a high 4*. Had two people come from the kitchen to ask if we enjoyed the food. Well done everyone! We will be back.

By far my favourite burger joint. Smashed burgers are insanely delicious!! Whammy is mouth watering, crispy yet so juicy! The Archie s famous fries are top notch. Probably here too often haha (weekly or biweekly burger indulgence). One thing that gets in the way of having more burgers, is that they aren t open Sundays or Mondays!! We look forward to the burger of the month and can t wait to race to try it out! Oh and milkshakes.. MMMmm

O.m.g. My husband and I have spent the last 13 yrs of our relationship driving all the way to New Market for 5 Guys burgers - but not anymore! These are the most delicious burgers Ive ever had in my life!!! So much flavor in the beef, and the bacon was sooo good! Im really picky about poutine too cause Im not usually a fan of it, but this poutine was really delicious too. The 2 girls who were working cash were super friendly a pleasant - they recognized us as people who hadnt been there before and were super informative about the menu. We just moved to Orillia and this will definitely be a spot we take family too when they come to visit from now on!

Ordered two combos to be delivered by Skip to work for my co workers birthday. One order was incorrect and I called just to let them know. Spoke to the manager Joe and he was very apologetic and offered to personally deliver a new combo to my workplace. I said that wasn t necessary. He told me that he was going to keep my name on the white board in the back and I could come back any time to pick up a combo at no cost. I went in this evening and was treated with complete respect even though I wasn t handing over money. The customer service was excellent. . Joe was there and was again apologetic. Got my food home and it was PERFECT. Thank you to Joe and his team for turning this into such a positive experience. Great customer service is so hard to come by these days and I feel everyone at Famous Archie s went above and beyond. Thank you all and I will definitely be back and I will also highly recommend.

Wow!!! This was much much more than I expected. I would absolutley recommend trying this place out. I was ordering from skip and came across Famous Archies and decided to check it out. Something told me to try it out and I am so glad I did. The best burger in town hands down and the poutine was out of this world. Everything about this place was 10 out of 10 and Im pretty picky when it comes to burgers and fries. My reviews are always honest and this time I couldnt rave enough...A +++ Try this place out if youre looking for something new and enjoy. I ordered through SkipTheDishes and was delivered an order that was not even close to the one I placed. I called Archie s and spoke to a lovely lady who I believe is named Faith. I explained the situation to her, she spoke with her manager, who then spoke to the boss. It was the boss who got on the phone with me, took my order again, made it and drove it over to my work himself. I believe that it was a mistake on the part of the skip delivery driver who picked up the wrong bag from their thermal bag and delivered it, not the fault of Archie s. The Archie s staff were incredible, and so was my buffalo chicken sandwich. Thanks, Archie s!

The food is tasty.. at times. Always extremely soggy buns, their monthly items are more of a miss than a hit. A regular archie burger is delicious, but $20 for a combo? Outrageous. No one in the back wears hairnets, thankfully i have yet to find a hair in my burger but that itself is a huge turn off, let alone the $11 price for an individual burger.. owners seem money hungry. The take out service takes a solid 10+ minutes, & comes with cold fries (eaten within the vehicle) a better system than name calling should be introduced. People, myself included, have the same names at the same time & yelling out so & so while looking around aimlessly, is not ideal. Ladies at the cash can also have some attitude. I would like to give props for the old style movies & music, other than the fact they re all on repeat, but that would have to be the only minor plus to eating here. Food: 5/10 Service: 4/10 Atmosphere 6/10 Solid score of 5.5/10, i may eat here again, but would not recommend.

Famous Archies burgers are the best in town and its not really that close. The menu is perfect, straight forward and not a mile long. Milkshakes, awesome. Atmosphere, homerun. Staff, friendly and quick. Wish they were open 7 days a week, but its better for my waistline this way.

The best restaurant in Orillia! Eaten there a few times. Just had their burger of the month which I think is now the best burger I ve ever had. Also got the shake of the month (Banana) which was great! The atmosphere is very fun and the old 80 and 90 s movies are always fun to watch while you eat. Great place!

Food is consistently delicious no matter what you order. Always a good experience. Their milkshakes remind me of old school diners. I just wish they had more seating to match the vibe of a busy diner.

Cute spot but the aesthetic is the only nice thing. The bacon was that fake ready made bacon, and the chicken burger was awful. All I could taste was the rosemary or thyme that is in the batter and it was a bit soggy. Definitely not the savory fried chicken I was expecting. The chocolate shake had the cheap chocolate syrup that tastes like those alcohol chocolates you get at Christmas, I couldnt drink it. My daughter got a burger and was not impressed. She loves burgers, so the fact that she didnt want to finish it says a lot. It was super greasy and flavorless. We got the large fry to share ($8). What a joke, it was the size of a McDs large fry ($4). Definitely not worth the price. Wont be back.

Limited menu as it should be. The burgers never disappoint. The fries are nothing special. I have not had the chance to try a shake yet but I will soon. Vegetarian options: The Farmers Daughter Burger is a black bean burger on a regular bun. Skip the cheese and you almost have a vegan burger. Highly recommended by a vegan. Dietary restrictions: The gluten free buns are delicious.... Hard to believe I know.

The people, milkshakes , and burgers are worth going back for!! I found the fries a bit too seasoned/salty, but the texture was great! The in-house seating is fun, but the dining area was cold with the door opening and closing. Its a fun and cool concept- especially the music and movies playing!! It was so refreshing to see young people smiling and being polite in a service job!! I hope they can keep having a smashing good time!!

My husband and I decided to order in, and we found this restaurant, holy cow! The burgers were absolutely amazing! They had little crisp parts, perfect amount of toppings, just very good. The only thing is the fries were not very crispy, that is the only thing. Other then that, so good!

The staff was amazing here. Right away they greeted our group, asked if we had ever been there, and offered us recommendations. The food was hot and fresh. Loved the burgers. This place is a true gem! My husband and I had the pleasure of dining here for lunch a couple days ago. As soon as we walked in, we were greeted with smiles and a huge welcome by the very friendly staff who resembled Archies very own Betty and Veronica. Love that! But the atmosphere is what stole my heart immediately. It was like we walked out of 2023 and into the 1980s. Not only is it bursting with bright, welcoming colors, but the music was on point. Playing Micheal Jackson banger after banger. We ordered a couple burgers, poutines, and a vanilla and chocolate milkshake. Famous Archies has brought the smash burger back to life. The milkshakes were AH-MAZING. The whipped cream, sprinkles, and cherry on top were so nostalgic. We enjoyed them to the last drop. The poutine was the perfect size! If you are into squeeky cheese curds and a gravy with a deep flavour, then I highly suggest you try it out! We enjoyed every aspect of our lunch date. We plan on returning very soon. Thank you for bringing a much needed piece of nostalgia to Orillia!

Had the wammy today was good till all the flavours started coming out 3 bites in and it just tasted saltier then the Atlantic Ocean . The fries were good but holy to much salt also . I will come back to try again hopefully will be a better tasting experience the shake was AMAZING !!

Beyond happy with my experience here. Came over with a family of 6, and they had no issues making sure everything was made to how we liked. This will become what we think is our favorite place to eat out. *Bonus points for being an amazing location for pokémon go players as well !!! Parking: This location is located with a very large parking lot shared by other restaurants. Kid-friendliness: Very bright place, well behaved kids would love the atmosphere.

In recent years, is rare that a Orillia burger start up is successful. I am ecstatic writing this review after being BLOWN AWAY at eating my smash burger just now. This restaurant has absolutely NAILED it. Delicious in every aspect. I thoroughly enjoyed my experience here and have a new favorite burger spot.

Chicken burger was delicious, fresh and well cooked! The restaurant was very clean and cute. Finally a decent place in the city for on-the-go food.

The food and atmosphere is wonderful there. The employees are very kind. My only complaint is that they nickle and dime you on the condiments. If you want extra pickles, lettuce,onion or tomatoes they charge you an extra .50 per item. If you dont want any of these items that already come on the sandwich they dont deduct the .50. Not good business sense to me. Overall the food is good and you dont wait long for your order.

I had a triple smash burger which was great tasting. Nice crispy edges on patties. Not a diverse menu but if your just wanting a good burger or chicken burger with crispy fries and old fashioned milk shakes this is your place.

Alright alright alight so I ve been cooking in kitchens for 17 years worked my way through the ranks dishwasher, line cook ,sous chef chef. Worked all over Ontario in different styles of restaurants from flipping burgers to fine dining. Not only were the employees clean and polite, the restaurant was clean and stylish, great atmosphere. I got myself a large poutine which was perfectly done and a triple smash burger to my liking. Their burgers usually come with one to two patties but for a $2 charge you can get yourself an extra hamburger patty and there s nothing wrong with that. The smash burger was perfectly done cheese was melted bacon was perfect and the bun was soft and fresh. There s many places around you can get a burger but if you re looking for great smash burger with tasty flavour and a clean friendly staff I d suggest giving Famous ARCHIE S a try it s well worth it and they ll be seeing a lot of me. I have been waiting to see what Famous Archies was going to offer, and it offered deliciousness. I ordered the Whammy burger and it was amazing. Smash burgers were tasty and juicy. Onion rings crispy and fresh ingredients. Their fries were crispy and delicious, and I was so happy I got a Famous combo, because that vanilla shake topped it all off. I will be back for sure!

Despite the fact this burger joint has come in small they have packed a punch unlike any other. The burgers, excellent and juicy. The chicken, real, cooked well, and tasty! The fries, all golden and crisp. And the milkshakes, to kill for. This is by far the best burger joint Ive ever seen. Im so happy this place exists and I hope it exists for 100 years!

I have come in here 6 times in the last month since they opened, this is by far the best burger in Orillia. I have tried the single & double and both are excellent. Buns are toasted, smash burger patty is grilled perfectly with crusty edges. Tried the vanilla milkshake on my last visit and it looks like something you see on TV, delicious & almost too pretty to drink! If your looking for a really good burger, I highly recommend Archies!

A great new place in Orillia for awesome burgers and fries. Love this place. One quick note that I was not too pleased about is the $2.00 upcharge on drinks on top of the Combo upcharge of $3.75. It seems a bit rich and appears to be an unnecessary money grab. Other than that, its all good.

Far better burger than Burger Priest in Barrie, and great fries too. Shake was delicious. Closest comparison would be Five Guys, and for me, thats saying a lot. Instant regular after one visit. My wife ordered without sauce, mistake was made, and they remade with no hesitation quickly and pleasantly. Looking forward to the chicken as well! :)

I had a wonderful meal (the strawberry milkshake in particular was a 10/10) in a lovely environment but the charming staff are what stood out. They were SO NICE!!! I would love to give 5 stars, the reason I m withholding is because the plates and cutlery were disposable, which is way too much garbage generation for me during the climate crisis. I hope the owner reconsiders this choice. Dietary restrictions: Make note if you re lactose intolerant - I needed 6 lactaid for the milkshake. #worthit

An amazing 50 s style burger and ice cream restaurant. Food and shakes were amazing and affordable for the quality. Food was quick to arrive at the table. Patties are clearly homemade and they were delicious. Shakes reminded me of old style milkshakes from the 60 s. Decor felt like you stepping back in time. Fun and cheerful. Staff was so nice and friendly. You can t go wrong eating here. Parking: Tons of parking as it is located in the plaza s parking lot. Wheelchair accessibility: Lots of parking and two disabled spots just outside the doors.

Great Burgers, Great Fries, Great Service. Nailed it.

Retro feel, friendly staff. We were in and out on a Friday night within 20 mins . The table we sat at tips easy but they still get a 5 star. Food is a reasonable prices, fresh and super tasty. Highly recommend. Will be back to try other items. Just a suggestion that this place could be great with a Karens diner theme night.

Went with my family today for opening (11) and they respected the minutes of silence for our veterans before opening the store, great to see! Even though it was a large order upon first opening they were efficient and friendly, definitely going to be a regular spot for us thanks guys!

Today was our first time trying Famous Archie s, but definitely will not our last!! The food we ate today was literally the best food we ve ever had. I can t wait to try more of the menu and tell everyone we know about this place!! 12/10 HIGHLY reccomend!!

All around a solid burger joint. If Im being honest its actually a 4/5 but since I live in Orillia and its the best spot in town overall for burgers, fries and a shake I gave it a 5. It doesnt live up to some burgers Ive had in other cities or even in Orillia but the whole package and price its the best place to go. It was my first time here so I went with my standard double smash with lettuce, onion, pickle and burger sauce. However I guess I didnt read the menu correctly and it came with a middle bun, no worries I just discarded the middle bun for a better meat/bun ratio. Burger was good, the bun was fresh, the lettuce and onion were crisp and the American cheddar was perfectly melted. The patties were cooked medium, I like a medium rare patty but it wasnt an option. The fat content seemed low as it wasnt very greasy at all. I prefer when a burger has a little grease. Overall Id give this burger an 8/10. The poutine didnt have cheese curds, they used some kind of mozz or other kind of cheese that melts away. The gravy was perfect and the fries while not fresh cut were cooked well. 8/10 Vanilla shake was a solid 10/10. If you dont like sprinkles ask for no sprinkles as it does come with them added. With my own personal bias aside on what is an ideal burger, this is an absolute solid option, were lucky to have such a great burger joint in a town this size. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a high quality smash burger that doesnt break the bank.

Our experience here was wonderful! We didn t realize the time, and went in after close. Instead of turning us away, they were super friendly and took our order! The service was great and atmosphere was unique and clean. Food was delicious and my roommate loved her shake. Definitely would recommend.

Unlike so many places in town, this lives up to the hype. It s easily the best burger in Orillia. And probably the best meal in town. Highly highly recommended.

This place is so good! When I m not eating it, I m thinking About eating it. I love that there s a burger of the month and I look forward Every month to seeing what s next, and I haven t been disappointed! I think my favourite was the November, one, with the cranberry aïoli, and the stuffing, so good!

It was clear from the moment I peered over the counter to the blacktop that the burger was gonna be good. I could easily make out the red, misshapen hand made, thin slab of ground beef. I ordered the single paddy Archie burger. The burger is relatively thin but with a wide circumference. A typical dressing of ketchup, mustard and a few pickles. Albeit thin and a little pricey, it was definitely fresh and delicious with apparent high quality ingredients. The fries were tasted with their own seasoning. The milkshakes were thick and well made and I suggest you bring your own straw for those (paper straws just dont cut it).

Finally, a place in town that does a proper smash burger thin patties crispy edges, and all! The fries are excellent, too: crispy on the outside, molten on the inside. And the service was great!
