Great burger spot in Orillia! Smash burger was really good, and the fries were one of the better fries I’ve had. Highly recommend
I have teens and this is where the want to go everytime we eat out! The chicken tacos are delicious. You can't find anywhere in Orillia that makes as good a chicken taco. The burgers are juicy and meaty. Coleslaw is out of this world. And the guys running are great! They're kind, polite, helpful...and damn, can they cook!!
My husband and I went for a drive up to Orillia and ended up by the water. We had a lovely walk and decided to grab lunch. We walked past the Grub Spot and read the reviews and thought we would check it out. We shared the veggie samosas, onion rings and a hot dog. We also had a bottle of water and can of coke. It came to $19 which we thought was reasonable. Loved the onion rings!! The hotdog and samosas were great as well!! 10/10!!!! We almost ordered another onion ring for the walk back. Will definitely pop in again when in the area.
Great spot to stop for lunch! We were passing through town and it was such a great place to take a break! Food was excellent- loved the seasoning on the fries.
Stopped in for fries and poutine after a day at the beach. Fries were great, well seasoned and hot and fresh. My teens said their poutine was among the best they've had. Thanks! Glad we drove across the street instead of lining up at the beach. The reviews brought us over to GrubSpot and it was worth going 1 block. Lots of parking and a shady picnic table.
My husband & I read a recent article rating the Top 3 Food Trucks in Orillia & this place made the list, so we had to give it a try! The food was incredible!!! Portion sizes are HUGE, totally worth every dime! My husband got the Big Boy Burger 🍔, & he loved it!!! I had the Fried Chicken Tacos & oh my, they were so yummy 🌮. The fries had a delicious seasoning on them, next time we'll ask for an extra sprinkle of this, cuz man it was so good!!! If you're looking for a good Food Truck experience, this is definitely the place to give a try!! We'll be back in 2 weeks when we camp at McRae Provincial Park 😉
This place quickly became a local favorite. I had the smash burger and fries – both were exceptional. The burger was juicy and packed with flavor, and the fries were generous. Quick, friendly service makes every visit great. Highly recommend!
I got the smash burger with fries and both items were awesome. The service was quick and the place wasn't busy. I was very happy to get a huge serving of fries. I would definitely recommend this place.

Excellent food truck all around. The smash burger and fried chicken tacos were very good. Would visit again! Kid-friendliness: Benches and tables in open grass area. Owner was very friendly and provided popsicles to the kids.
This was one of the best-tasting burger-fries combos Ive had in years. You simply must stop and try this fare. Kudos, gentlemen. Next time Im in Orillia, I know where Im going back to!

Ive been here a few times since they opened, and today was the 1st day of this season and the food is excellent, and the prices are just as good. 2 dogs and a fries for just over 10 bucks. Next is the burger.

I almost dont wanna tell you all about this little gem because something tells me that when the word spreads, its gonna be BUSY! I just stopped for a quick bite on the way through, and I ordered just a dog and fries totalling $9.00...yes, I said $9.00. I didnt expect much at that price, and I was wrong. Every bite was delicious! The server took the time to explain the menu and you can tell he is rightfully proud. He even packed a couple samples of his homemade sauces for me to try - DELICIOUS! Dude, you have a good thing going here and I cant wait to go back!! See you real soon! Update: Tried the smash burger and was actually disappointed as I thought this might be their signature item. The beef was good. Nice fat ratio, but no seasoning. Ive never been a fan of, nor do I understand why the use of a Kaizer bun for a burger...ESPECIALLY a smash burger. Theyre just not the right bun. It was falling apart and lacked overall taste. A toasted potato bun, or even a brioche bun would be better suited. The onion rings were great and my water was ice cold. Seeya next time.

I came here when it first opened last year and knew I would follow the journey they were on. The food, is delicious! They have a garlic aioli that is just to die for! Now they re opened up again this year, and I will be there for sure! Such friendly people and always go above for everyone!
When you do a food truck, you have to do it good. This is the place to be, my mother and I stopped around 7pm and ordered regular fries, sweet potato fries, a couple burgers onion rings and a chicken sandwich. All the items had attention to detail, everything was fresh and spice game was on point. We re out of town but we will be making a trip back!!
Delicious chicken tenders and fries. I went 3 days in a row. The seasoning used on the fries is really good, I asked for extra seasoning the second time and they were very happy to do that. Service was great and prices were fair. Thanks Grub Spot!
Just tried this place for the first time. Ordered there smash burger and a drink, absolutely killer Burger, so good and really flavorful! Simple yet perfectly executed well done!

My go to spot for lunch when on the road. The food is excellent and fresh. The staff are very friendly and provide fast service. The prices are great and dont break the bank. I highly recommend this place to anyone who was on the fence about it.
Smash tacos, smash burger, chicken strips, sweet potato fries, and chicken samosas (& their green chutney) are A++ AMAZING!! So glad we found this truck last year. New fave spot.

Just had a Smashburger and fries. It was the best burger from a food truck that I have ever had. Cant wait to try the rest of the menu items. Lots of choices for adults and kids alike. Very personable and efficient owner operators. Spotless looking kitchen. Give them a try.

We had the smash burger, chicken tacos, hot dog and fries - everything was fantastic! Ordered a side of samosas as well, which were also very good. Very fair pricing and good portion sizes. I was too hungry to take pictures, but it is a great spot and looking forward to my next visit already! Would definitely recommend this place.

I m torn. Food was definitely a step above a chip truck but a little expensive. I was a little surprised buy the price but after tasting the food I would definitely recommend.

I had the smash burger. Hand made and delicious. However, with it being $10 fir just the burger, I was expecting something more unique or specialized. With samosas being on the menu a more ethnic touch, like a yogurt topping or specialty cheese, would have made it that much more worth it. That being said, I will return to try their other menu options as I did enjoy the handmade smash burger.
Have been a few times now and food is fantastic. Chicken tacos and smash burger are absolutely amazing! I find it very fairly priced for the high quality of food you get. Love that we can also grab a hot dog for our daughter for $3. It s a win all around!
The guys were friendly, the food was quickly ready and freshly made, and it tasted great. My husband loved the hot sauce. Says it was a great flavor and not just heat for the sake of heat.
An excellent choice of location to a under-served part of the city. There is no burger stops anywhere on this side of town. The spot has makings of greatness however I was a little disappointed at the basic smash burger (special sauce, onion, pickle, tomato, lettuce) does not feel like good value at $10. I have no issue paying more when premium ingredients are used. I would like to see the truck experiment with other cheeses (gruyere, white american, cheddar, pepper jack, etc), garlic aioli, and perhaps a non-gravy loaded fry option. Looking forward to revisiting in the future.
Just went here with the boys from work for lunch. We all loved our meals. I smashed my big boy burger and cant wait to go back.

So, food is excellent and inexpensive! For 10$ I got 2 delicious chicken tacos with homemade slaw.so yummy! No cheese on the tacos, so chicken wrap may b a more appropriate name, a without is just a wrap. Lol. Still yummy. Been back twice already!

Just tried The Grub Spot for the first time. Had the smash burger, fried chicken tacos and fries. Absolutely amazing! We will definitely be eating here again, and again.

Pretty good. Fries are cheap. That are alright. Not the greatest but alright. Onion rings are awesome but a little on the high price for what you get. I would eat here again. Very nice guys.
