Poor food and watery coctails. Staff is not really attentive even though they seem like it.

Flat beer, forgot to serve appetizer we ordered, did not check in once if we wanted another drink and food we did get was mediocre at best for a stir fry priced at $30

Handy location, lovely staff and good food! Kid-friendliness: Theres a lot going on on the walls. I havent seen many kids here. But maybe thats just timing on my part. Wheelchair accessibility: The restaurant is on the main level. It does have a bit of a bump at the front door, but wheelchairs can manage it.

Visited October 1 we were from Newmarket Ontario. Ordered fish stirfry pasta and chicken sandwich. Excellent food. Excellent service atmosphere was pleasant. Will definitely come to visit again very good experience. We were very pleased. Thank you to the staff who treated us well.

Ok in my humble opinion this restaurant is overpriced, for example French onion soup, hamburger, fish and chips among other items are are cheaper at Lot 88 an upscale restaurant with much better service, linen napkins etc. This is more of a Montana s class but more expensive and again tonight service was not great and yet not busy. Flies were a bummer as well

After many wonderful visits I was upset about our visit today. My teen grandson loves your ribs and wings dinner. We stopped for lunch ordered wings and rib entree and blt for me His was without any sauce which has never been an issue. First the waitress brought a plate with just wings and fries I asked about the ribs she said she didnt hear that I reminded her no sauce. Ribs came covered in sauce so unfortunately my grandson couldnt eat them and we brought them home. It just wasnt the same awesome experience we have always had over the years.

Dont be fooled about the prices, they havent updated their website in who knows how long. Everything on their menu is probably about $5 over what is says on the MENU. UPDATE YOUR MENU AND WEBSITE, very misleading restaurant.

Service is excellent! First time coming here and the waitress recommended the fish and chips which did not disappoint. Food was served quickly, portion size was great, the fries were fresh and the fish was not greasy and covered in too much batter like a lot of other places. Highly recommend

The service was awful . The worst service I ve ever had to deal with. They were nice when they actually came. I waited 15 minutes for my drinks and I also waited a long time for our food to be fair, the food was great but then we waited so long to get our bill

We called ahead to reserve a table for a family meal, and arrived in the early evening to get our drinks and place our orders. My sister-in-law recommended the onion soup as a starter, and I was not disappointed, although I found the soup a bit sweet, the flavour and texture were spot on. If I called out a second thing, it would be that the Swiss cheese they use to top it isnt terribly strong in flavour and would suggest they use an actual Emmental or Jarlsberg. I ordered the Pork Schnitzel and it arrived presented like breaded pork chops in appearance. Thankfully, boneless. Im sure I would have loved the sauce had I not just finished the soup, but that mushroom sauce tasted like they had used many of the same ingredients from the onion soup. It was a bit much, but I finished the sauce, pork and the roast vegetables that accompanied the meal. The red potato wedges were my favorite part, and I devoured them. I should note that Ive had pork schnitzel in Germany, and these chops never saw the business end of a meat hammer. ;) Id eat here again, but rate it four out of five stars. The service was great and the waitress was very engaging and personable which made the service and atmosphere a perfect 5 for our extended family gathering.

On the drive between Toronto and Cottage Country their are lots of nice spots. This is one of those spots. Clean, food was great, (I had the Roast beef dip, yum) service was on point. Not to loud..sports on tv at the bar... But not overwhelming. Well done.

It was my first time ordering from Lake Country Grill . I ordered a chicken Caesar wrap that arrived beyond inedible the lettuce was clearly bad while preparing my food. Pretty disappointed.

We went to this restaurant today with family for Fathers Day. The menu has something for everyone, lots of choices and tastes. Each family member ordered a different main, and all of the serving portions were very generous, so much so that we all left full and had carryout containers of leftovers to take home. Notable flavours were the Lake Country Penne, the Swiss Melt Soup, the Blackened Pickerel, and the fantastically plump and juicy Pernod Shrimp in an incredibly delicious creamy sauce. The breaded cauliflower and mushrooms were juicy inside with nice crisp breading and zero greasiness. There was honestly so much choice on the menu that it was difficult to settle on what to order...everything sounded so tempting. Just another reason to return in the future! The service was also friendly and very accommodating. Highly recommended. Dietary restrictions: Omitting onions from one dish was easy to request, and staff accommodated with a smile. Parking: Lots of parking for free, and fairly close access to Hwy 400 exit.

Some food is labeled as Gluten free, but is not. They use a shared fryer. Just a heads-up for those with Celiac or other gluten-related health issues. Also, it took 45 mins for chicken quesadillas for take out Food

Went back with a family group - with mixed results. People enjoyed the fish & chips and the chicken pot pie. The plum pocket apps were tasteless and the loaded canoes (potato skins) were terrible. The turkey bacon wrap was ok once the slimy lettuce was removed. The chicken club was pretty good, but unremarkable. Service was inattentive, but that was understandable given that we showed up late afternoon on a Saturday.

We like the peaceful atmosphere and soft music here. Most restaurants have loud, obnoxious music playing and we cant relax.

We were a party of six, four adults and two kids. The restaurant was busy. Our food orders were a good twenty minutes plus in arriving, but our drinks came early, and this gave our party time to visit with the kids. Have dined here a goodly number of times and never a bad meal. Well be back. Update: Met up with a friend for lunch. The fish tacos were very tasty and worthy of another try soon.

Nice cosy brunch place. We came to driveTest nearby and found this gem. We tried Veggie Panini and Bruschetta. Both were delicious and were full of flavors. We would definitely come back.

A bunch of us enjoyed My Birthday dinner at Lake Country Grill, last night!! It was quite a busy place, with some Live Music by Steph Dunn! They only had 1 young server on, and she did her absolute best to accommodate ALL the tables in the restaurant! I, as well as 6 others at the table, devoured their butter tarts with maple ice cream! Vegetarian options: They have quite a few vegetarian options.

First time in the restaurant and it was busy with people. Must be a popular place. We ordered our food and it took half an hour to get. I had ordered a chicken club and husband ordered a burger.the burger was plain no flavor and my sandwich was okay but small. The price was crazy though for mine, it was 14.99 for a small sandwich. I looked around and other foods looked amazing. I still would recommend it because the service was good and the place felt friendly. I just think we went at a busy time.

My wife and I really liked this place when it first opened. We recently went back and we were very disappointed. I ordered the pulled pork sandwich, which came with French fries. It was very bland and under-seasoned. Much worse was that there was hardly any meat on it, as you can see from the photo. My wife had the chicken quesadilla, which was also very bland. There was very little chicken or cheese on the quesadila. There were about 4 to 5 tiny cubes of chicken per quarter. The restaurant was also very cold. I understand that costs have gone up, and its a tough business environment right now, but that was poor value for money.

After many years, I decided to give this place another try. I Am sorry to say it was a waste of money. The Chicken Fettuccine Alfredo for $21 was the worst I have ever had. What little chicken there was tasted like boiled tasteless chicken with the consistency of rubber. What can I say about the Caesar Salad in one word unappealing. I would have preferred to have given it no star.

I loved this place very much! We had dinner after a day at the spa, the perfect restaurant if you want home-cooked food. The waitress Lauryn was very helpful in recommending the dishes to us; she was knowledgeable and friendly. We had Chicken Ceasar Wrap, Kalamari rings, Breaded pickles, and Striploin steak with mushrooms and onions. We also had a few drinks too. Cozy atmosphere and fantastic food. I strongly recommend this place if you are in the area.

This was by far one of the worst meals Ive had in a long time. The soup in the photo was vile and room temperature. Even the coffee tasted off. We order a Rubin and a stir fry and the Rubin tasted like plastic and the stir fry was bland and not cheap! Would not recommend!

Third and last visit. Service was slow and was on past visits as well. Crispy Chicken Caesar didnt have much chicken; it barely had any dressing. The server had the parmesan grinder in her hand but didnt offer any. Pop was flat. It took ages for my husbands key lime pie to be brought out and it was rubbery. If Im going to spend $70 Ill go elsewhere.

Our food took forever to arrive, and it wasnt that busy. My hosien stir-fry was not edible. Ive had hosien many times before, and this one didnt even resemble the recognizable taste. I sent it back immediately and asked for whatever dish would come the quickest. I didnt want the other 3 people I was dining with to have to wait around for me to finish eating. The server suggested fish&chips. She said she put a fast request in with my order. It still took forever to come and was nothing special. The pina colada was watery. To add insult to injury, the bill took forever to come. At least they didnt charge me for the first meal. I will not be going back

Stopped in for dinner on a Friday night. We were surprised the restaurant was fairly empty. Great decor and ambience. We were seated immediately and service was prompt. Food was as described. I ordered the warm chicken salad. I was pleased to see the dressing was served on the side rather than pre-mixed, as often times the dressing is excessive. My wife ordered the quesadillas, and while they werent anything spectacular, they were loaded with chicken and tasted average. We also ordered the mashed potato boat to share. It was cheesy and LOADED with bacon - great if you love it; we found it too salty, but still enjoyable. Our waitress was efficient. Overall we had no issues and no notable complaints. The absolute best loaded canoes Ive ever had. We loved it. Something on the menu for everyone, including my picky 7 year old. Love this place. Looking forward to going back. Decent place if youre passing through. Lots of seating available, and service was good. Only issue is it seems there was a lack of kitchen staff that day (Monday around 1pm), and the food took quite a while to show up (almost 45 minutes after ordering) despite there being only 4 or 5 other patrons. Food was decent, nothing youd crave, but decent especially if youre hungry. We had the camp burger, and it was a bit dry. Still would recommend if youre in the area. It has good atmosphere and plenty of seating.

I was enjoying my dinner at Lake Country on September 10th and part way through my dinner I could hear motion and swearing from behind the bar, when I looked over it seemed to be a blonde lady holding a glass of wine. I continued to listen and seemed like she was berating her staff, it ruined my evening seeing someone treat others like that and it was very unprofessional with the families that were present

You have to try the breaded mushrooms . They are fantastic .. I had the spaghetti and meat ball special, the home made spaghetti sauce was delicious, my wife had the quesadilla, and she really enjoyed it We will definitely be back, food was hot, service was great .. what more can you ask ..

Today we had lunch at the grill for the first time. 6 of us. From 3 years old to 68. Everyone ordered something different yet the food was ready in a more than acceptable time. Our server was very attentive. They seated us in an area where the 3 year old wouldn t bother other guests and it gave us our space. We got there at 2. If we were there earlier we probably wouldn t get this bonus. We all highly recommend this place and will be back. Great food. Great service. Fair prices.

A nice little local spot in Orillia with tons of menu options for any dietary restrictions. Service is good with friendly staff and the atmosphere is a great cottage feel! My grandparents love to meet at this spot for lunch regularly!

My partner didn t enjoy the burger but did like the fries. We weren t told about the specials for Wednesday night and noticed a sign before we left. Made a reservation a week ahead of time, it was for a birthday unfortunately my grandson informed me he had to work this was on a Thursday so I called to cancel for the following Monday, On that Monday I received a phone call asking if we were coming I had said we canceled and made it for Wednesday, on that Monday a household member came down with covid, so I called to cancel Wednesday it was 3 days ahead of time, the girl calls me and ask if we were coming, I told her I had canceled on the Monday, she was very rude told I was not allowed to make any more reservations jc,l I tried getting a hold the owner and have not heard from anyone yet this was not handled very well blamed me for thier mistake I quess they dont need the customers we were looking forward to eating there we always enjoyed going there

Such a great experience we had over dinner. The vegetable and tiger shrimp stir-fry I had was absolutely delicious as well as the blackened pickerel . The service we received was excellent and our waitress was super friendly. Very nice experience

Fantastic menu with a lot of options. I had Jalapeños poppers with my friend which were some of the best Ive ever had. I also had their basic burger which was also delicious. Server was a bit underwhelmed. We tried using humor to engage her but her energy was that of a dirty truck stop diner named Flo. We still tipped her 18% but other than the low energy service the place has a great feel and diversity in their menu.

The waitress was friendly but didnt know what the soup specials were or what was on tap. I ordered a fish sandwich and onion soup. I got a large burnt piece of fish on a plate (no sandwich) and cold onion soup(cheese didnt even melt). My wife ordered the chicken fajitas and said she enjoyed them. So for $70 I got fish and soup I didnt eat, a beer, a glass of wine and chicken fajitas. I admit I was upset after reading all the good reviews. Bad day ? Maybe. But I doubt I will return after such a bad experience. And in response to The Owner, I brought the issues to our servers attention. Also there were no other customers in the restaurant when we ordered. An older couple had just left. Not sure how being understaffed is an excuse in this situation. I saw 2 servers and we were the only customers at that time.

Good service but the pickerel was not blackened but had some red powder instead. Also.the drunken pork chop.was good but the mashed potatoes did not have any garlic as stated on the menu. This is the first time it happened there for us !

Decided to go to Lake Country Grill on May 26th for the first time. Our server was excellent and the fish and chips I had were very good with an ample portion of perfectly battered haddock. Nice décor and a warm friendly atmosphere, the bathrooms were labelled Nuts and No Nuts which was a nice touch of humour. Thanks for a great dining experience and we will be back and recommend you to our friends and family.

Amazing last minute find! Looking for a place when most were closed due to late travels (at 930 pm) and it came up on google. The server Meghan and all the staff was super friendly and didn t make us once feel like we were too late coming in. (we all know THAT experience) The food was amazing for a reasonable price, hot fresh and delicious. Definitely try the cheesy bread with bacon as an appetizer and their house lager. Our experience here helped after a very long day of driving and setbacks.. definitely worth it.

My wife and I both found the restaurant to be extremely cold when we entered and then we were sat directly underneath a cold air vent. We ordered a salad fries and a soup and we had to wait half an hour. Unfortunately when the food did arrive it was subpar at best. We found the waitresses extremely friendly but the atmosphere and the food both disappointing. We stopped going to this restaurant a couple years ago because we thought the food wasnt as good as when it first opened, that seems to have remained the same.

Ordered via DoorDash. Entire order was incorrect. I called into let the store know, the person who answered the phone was awful. I explained that the entire order was wrong, all she said was well thats weird and kept going. I kept talking and explaining the situation, and thats all she kept repeating. Was very strange. Didnt apologize or anything. Luckly DoorDash dealt with it. Will never order or eat there again. The food we did receive, as an example, the stale bread.. all was awful. Time to use the DoorDash credits and literally order anywhere other than Lake Country Grill.

We recently had a 90th Birthday luncheon for 11 people at Lake Country Grill and I would like to compliment the entire staff for an excellent job! Both the food and the service were top notch. This was my first time dining at Lake Country Grill, and I am looking forward to the next time. Wheelchair accessibility: We had 4 people with walkers and canes and the accessibility was great.

Walking through the door at 5pm on a Sunday it wasnt busy. I went in with high hopes for the first time visit. First they had no sugar free options for drinks only diet. This is the first place thats had no sugar free . They tell me they dont normally substitute fries and replace with a poutine. Im told they will throw something together. They charged me 9 dollars extra for a handful of toppings mixed in and it was almost cold enough to return. If I knew this I would of ordered it and paid the extra 5 dollars to get a whole poutine . Asked for extra sauce on the wings, they were OK. Still not enough sauce. They then at the end try and charge double for one meal. Im a firm believer on rule of 3. They get a 2.5 but I dont round up I wont be returning.

Took my daughter for lunch. Waited at the entrance to be served. Two separate waitresses walked by without acknowledging us. Finally got seated, given menus, and ignored. Waited 10 minutes and no one came over. Got up and left. Went elsewhere, had an excellent meal and great service. Half the restaurant was busy, granted, but the other half was not and there seemed to be four servers. Not sure where the issue was but didnt seem to be a staffing problem. Wont be returning.

First night dining in last night. Friendly fast service. Safety protocols definitely in place. Food was fresh and hot and my fish was cooked to perfection. Will definitely be a regular A++

Poor food quality. Greasy and bland. Forgot the garlic bread, both orders. Went back and picked them up. Upon returning home I realized they had also forgotten the order of shrimp. Was so disappointed by the wilted salad and the horrible foor I didnt bother to call about the forgotten shrimp. I just wont go back.

We were in a group of six. Everyones order looked really good. I had the fish and chips. Very generous serving. Nicely crispy batter and flakey tender fish.

Excellent food and service! Highly recommended. They make a lot of food in house. Quesadillas were awesome. Kids fish bites are amazing. Beef sandwich also great.

Had a delicious family lunch here. Our server was wonderful (I forgot to get her name). I had to leave shortly after we arrived to get a haircut at a barbershop a few doors down. Our server was great about it and took my order and kept it warm until I arrived back. The place looks pretty awesome considering its just in a plaza--I expected an older decor but everything was clean and modern. Will come back here again.

Great Gluten Free choices

Lunch today. Had the Schnitzel sandwich with bacon and sauerkraut and side of slaw. Hubby had the Fall off the bone roast beef au jus. All tasted great and Meghan was very nice.

The kitchen was slow but worth waiting for but we were 6 ppl. The broccoli cheese soup was ok but the rainbow trout was fantastic. Some good beer choices.

The food is outstanding! Would recommend the take out any time!

Jeff and the team at Lake Country Grill came to the rescue with less than two weeks until our sons wedding reception and provided us with a fantastic meal for the 50 guests. Everyone commented on how tasty the food was and the amount of food provided was also very generous. We are very thankful for the entire team that contributed to making the evening such a great success!

Food was excellent. The service was timely, I found the prices very fair and really enjoyed my meal. Our Waitress was Meagan (not sure on the spelling) but she was so wonderful, pleasant and helpful and one of the best waitress I have had in a long time. I will say that all the staff were very pleasant and we felt very welcomed. Whenever Im back in town, I will certainly be going back here.

Food was fantastic with excellent portions. Staff was super friendly and accommodating. Definitely recommend if you want a comforting meal.

Had dinner yesterday with friends after seeing all the good reviews. Nice atmosphere and friendly waitress ( mallory). However ,for the price of the food, the portion size was not justified . The chicken was very small and the pork schnitzel should not have been served with gravy, that should have been given separately. We all left feeling hungry and not satisfied. We will not be returning .

Tonight two of my friends and I came in for their Fall Festival dinner. There was a soup or salad, a turkey dinner and pie for dessert oh and don t forget the fancy hot apple cider drink. Can I just say this meal was FANTASTIC! The soup was a perfectly hot butternut squash with fresh black pepper on it, I could have made a meal out of that . Our server Julie was just so sweet, my one friend is allergic to walnuts and Julie found out that the salad didn t have any in the seeds that came on the salad. We asked if there was possibly any cranberry sauce available and she found some for us no problem. I asked if I could get some cheddar cheese on my apple pie melted and it was perfect! Julie took care of us and made our dinner a wonderful experience. There was musical entertainment tonight as well and he was great. Lake Country Grill never fails me and I recommend this place and the staff front and back.

Mediocre food probably wont be going back, for the price it wasnt really worth it. Kitchen staff kept coming out of the kitchen with no mask on, one man in particular and one lady. Had one waitress walking around with her mask on her chin while behind the bar, saw one waitress stick her finger in someones Cesar (drink) to get something out (before putting the calmatoe juice in)
