I am very disappointed with the food. It was my 1st time, but my friend had been many times before. I ordered 2 appetizers - cauliflower bites and garlic shrimp. The cauliflower bites were very bready, and the BBQ sauce was baked into the bites, so overpowering with not much cauliflower to find. The garlic shrimps were rubbery covered in cheese - not good, only ate 3 of them. Im extremely disappointed. My friend had the fish and chips. The fries were cold, and the fish was dry and heavy battered, heavy, and crusted (hard to cut without it falling apart). Eating out is so expensive now, and to have food that is not prepared properly or taste good is a waste of time and money.

This place is an Orleans gem. Daily drink specials and really good food! Just go, you wont be disappointed!

Horrible experience. Wednesday Aug 28, 2024. went to JC sat and was greeted by waiter ordered coffee and waters. waiter went away for over 10 min. I asked a waitress where is our waiter and she went to find home. he came 3 min later with coffee and water. we ordered and I added milk to my coffee stirred and up came a strawberry jam cover. added on purpose I think so. terrible experience I will NEVER return. My only regret is that I didn t take a photo of my coffee to post

Great food, great service, great place. Been going here for years, always been treated well, always good selection on the menu, great food and the prices have remained reasonable even with high inflation.

Im really disappointed in how bad the food quality got over the years. I used to love going here, but now the food is at best alright.

The greeter, waiters and waitresses looked very unprofessional. We were sat in a booth where the tables and seats actually felt greasy. The coffee is the absolute worst. The price is high for mediocre food. Never going back.

We used to go here often, but cannot more because there is nothing gluten-free on the menu for diagnosed celiac.

As a frequent patron for weekend breakfast, I noted the past two Saturdays that the toast was prepared with stale bread, or left-over toast reheated. The kitchen staff can do better ! Thankyou

Have always had excellent service and food here. Last week we had brunch there though, and realized towards the end of my meal that my toast was covered in mould. I told our server and she took my plate and was very sorry. They quickly decided not to charge us for our meals. Mistakes happen and they owned it and made it right. I ll be happy to continue enjoying Johnny Canucks in the future. Lots of yummy options! Thanks!

Typical breakfast, nothing special here. Needs a makeover from the 90 s sport bar decor.

Garbage place. Dirt everywhere, windows dirty, toilets gross, no soap in the bathroom. Boomer server walking around without any hustle, only offered drinks to 1 person. Took over an hour to get chicken strips, chairs falling apart, loose foot rail at the bar, sticky bar. Unenthused employees. Felt like I was in a retirement home and everyone was forced to be there.

Wings!!! Nachos!! Burgers all awesome! Great deals throughout the week and cheap wings every night! Staff is very hospitable and service is top notch.

Phenomenal and convenient location. Clean and spacious. We were able to have our conversation even with lots of people in and out as the spacing between tables is great and the volume in the restaurant is decent. Service was impeccable. Ordered a snack, the zucchini, and it came out over cooked and burnt. I had 2 pieces and didnt finish it. Staff was attentive, but they shouldve seen how the zucchini was before serving it to me.

We like it here, however it can be loud so its hard to talk comfortably. We prefer outside, can bring dog to outdoor section. Our servers have always been polite and do their best, have never had A bad experience here, always good just noisy inside. I have never been for brunch but I have had many recommendations.

5 stars across the board. The food, service, and atmosphere were above what I expected from a place like this. Bonus points for offering all-day breakfast. Steak and eggs is always by go-to. Steak was prepared perfectly!

Server was good with refills of coffee but never asked how our food was after dropping it off and seemed tired and unengaged in his work. This was my 1st time in this restaurant. I met a friend at 6 pm and the restaurant was pretty crowded. Great sign, I thought. I asked our waiter for his recommendation on a burger, which he gave reluctantly, and it was good, but the fries didnt seem to be freshly fried. Even though there was no one waiting for a table, our waiter seemed to want to rush us out the door - didnt offer us dessert or coffee.... just gave us the bill with the machine. What I didnt like was the loud music and the feeling we had out stayed our welcome. I wont be going back.

Super amazing service! Unfortunately I came last minute around close , the staff Amelia who first greeted/served us was super friendly, served us with a smile the whole time =] It was a full house with her co-worker Brittany they were both super accommodating to all the other customers and my self even at closing time. Fantastic customer service even at such a late time that passed their closing time, we appreciate you!! Hard to find customer service like this, owners should be proud to have this kind of staff! I ordered chicken wings and my wife ordered a philly melt with fries. Wings were lukewarm at best as were the fries. Wings were dry as though they had been reheated several times. Wont be going back even though they took 50% off the bill. Costs too much to go out for dinner these days to put up with mediocrity.

I m not sure what happened? I haven t been to Johnny Canucks for a while. I was craving Nachos. Not just any nachos but Johnny Canucks Nachos! Used to be fresh in house fried tri colour corn chips. The nachos stayed crispy right down to the bottom of the plate. I would tell people that they were the best nachos I ve ever had!!! But last night I was so disappointed soggy chips that were more than likely from the bottom of the bag. I m not a picky person. I ate it, I paid and gave a good tip for the service. I m not going back for nachos again

I will never ever go back. Worst experience I have ever had at any bar / restaurant! It s so bad that I will be filing a complaint with the better bureau. The bartender was a die hard Pittsburgh Steelers fan and he was so unprofessional. The owner needs to fire him. He actually kicked me out because of the way in cheered for the bills. I was with 3 others and they were regulars who suggested Jonny canucks for a change. They were so embarrassed. My friend Dave said that he will stop going for breakfast. Probably just a matter of time before they go bankrupt!

Like this place, great breakfast, but the ambient temperature inside was way too high.

Overall good experience. I have not been in years and recently went twice for breakfast. I found the over easy eggs were a bit too runny for me liking. The second visit, the waitress was really slow to take our order and bring us our coffee.

Myself and 4 others went in to have dinner and were seated right away, but after that we waited 20 minutes without a single employee acknowledging us. No drinks or anything. The place was not busy at all. First and last time I will ever be here.

This place has an extensive menu (like most pubs, and most of it is probably frozen foods) - They do have a kids menu (had to ask for it though - and my kid is young) - service was nice, even when we went in the middle of the afternoon, when the only people there were a few of the construction workers and some regulars sitting at the bar -prices OK, but not great for the pub food (Chicken Caesar wrap was $20!) -breakfast menu looks good. - Strongbow Cider in cans - asked for a glass of ice with it, there was not a lot of ice in it when it was brought to me. - DID not have a drinks menu anywhere, or wasn t offered one with the other menus. So I had to guess what I felt like having with my lunch. Not a great way to upsell past the coffee & NA drinks on the regular food menu. Not available on the website either - so I find that very odd. - Bathrooms feel dingy/small and probably need an upgrade. Seems like an odd mix of pub regulars, construction workers, and oldies. Not sure what their demographic is or who they are aiming to please here. Definitely a confusing spot - but food was OK. - Kid: Pogo & French Fries - Adult: Crispy Chicken Caesar Wrap with poutine upgrade (says on menu it s a flour tortilla, but it is a tomato or other flavoured wrap as a heads up, it was still good!) *PICKLE HATERS beware: the sandwiches all come with a huge pickle spear and they don t shake it before hand, so my wrap and fries were soaked in pickle juice (pretty gross and a lot of my wrap was ruined by it!) Overall: probably would return for breakfast, a game with friends & beers, or maybe get some takeout wings. But, not really the place to take my kid or have a nice dinner/lunch with family.

Got in with friends for a breakfast get-together. Bread burnt, eggs overcooked, the rest of the food not that tasty. Servers focused on chatter rather than serving. Almost had to beg for coffee top-ups.

Had breakfast just a regular breakfast and they cooked my sausages in the fryer my toast had butter that was not melted and home fries cold. Never again will I go to this place very bad quality.

This was my first experience at this restaurant as I was told that their burgers were very good. I was not disappointed with the food as well as our delightful waitress who offered an excellent service. My biggest gripe about this place is the lack of cleanliness. The place is filthy and worn down. It needs a serious scrub down and a good update on its equipment. When we went to select our table, we had to look around for a clean one as the vacant tables were not cleaned. The floors are upswept/unvacuumed with a lot of debris all over the floor. The window sill are caked up with years of accumulated crud. Attention to details goes a long way for franchisees... I wish they could understand this simple concept.

Three stars for service and atmosphere. Friendly service and enjoyable atmosphere. Drinks were quick and enjoyable as well. Food on the other hand is another story. I got the baked Buffalo wrap with a side poutine. The poutine was excellent. Good size and flavour, lots of cheese. The wrap was mediocre at best. It was dry and bland. I asked for more sauce which was just generic hot sauce. Added no flavour. My bf got the baked spaghetti and Greek salad. The salad was great. But the spaghetti was also very bland. He said it had no flavour and added a ton of salt and pepper. He wasn t Offered any cheese for it. He only ate a few bites and has no interest in finishing it. It s too bad that the food is mediocre cause the service and atmosphere are great.

Amazing place to go for a date, with family, friends or just get a little something for yourself. Prices are very good based on portion and service. Plenty of parking. Arrive early for breakfast on weekends as it gets busy. Super awesome every Monday & Wednesday they have % off appetizers! Parking: Parking is for the plaza and obviously first come first serve basis. Kid-friendliness: Have a kids menu which includes drink and desert. Have a breakfast option 1 egg breakfast. Wheelchair accessibility: They have big wide doors. And automated by the wheelchair door button.

Very disappointed with the food and service of this place two of the orders had under cooked potatoes and my partner ordered the fish and chips and it was overcooked server wasn t the greatest I asked for a drink and never got it very slow service asked for two booster seats it took asking 2 times to finally get them we will not be going back. We frequent Jonnys weekly and normally the staff are amazing and service pretty good. Until last night. Wasnt even that busy but our server was very cold and unfriendly. The wings we got were cold, not warm, COLD. When they took them and returned them, they were now warm BUT so were the carrots on the plate. Clearly they chose to microwave everything on the plate. Our server also took the wrong order for the others at our table AND then basically ignored that was not what they ordered. She never once checked to see if we were ok or if we needed anything else. It was an extremely disappointing experience, especially since it is normally much better.

Menu is limited in choice. Order smoked meat sandwich. Very ordinary. Garlic mash was good. Dont think I will go back again. Too many other sports bar that offer better value for money spent. Staff were very good though. Pity for them.

Fantastic food!

Disappointed. I called the Orléans restaurant and made reservations a week in advance for 13 people. Two days before, I stopped in to confirm the reservation. The staff checked the book and it wasn t written down. The on-duty Manager contacted John by phone and he confirmed I had called. The Manager said everything was fine for Sunday, May 21st. It was taken care of. Well, our group showed up at 9:30 am on Sunday, May 21st and the staff pointed us to the upper section where a large group was seated and eating breakfast. I informed the staff that wasn t our group. That I had a reservation under Clement. The staff said that was the only large group and again pointed for us to go sit there!! I explained again that this wasn t our group. I was told there weren t any tables available and we would all have to stand to the side and wait. Our group had plans for after breakfast so the clock was ticking. I saw a section of empty high tables near the bar that were empty. I asked if we could take those tables and was told that was fine. So off we went with 8 adults and 5 kids under 6 years old to sit at those high tables and chairs. We asked for three high chairs and those were considerably lower than their parents seats. We ordered food that came with burnt toast and cold potatoes. Most people just left food on their plate at the end of their meal. One person got a new toast order. The server was excellent. So when the bill of close to $250 came, we left a 20% tip. I live walking distance to the restaurant and have been a client since the restaurant opened. I boasted about it to my neighbours. Most had not been there before, this was their first time. Needless to say that this experience wasn t impressive! Very disappointed!

Just ate breakfast and really enjoyed it. I think I had what s possibly one of the local standards: 2 eggs, meat, toast, home fries and coffee. Nice atmosphere and our server was great! I ve been twice in the past and had a nice time on those evenings too. Appetizers and beer with great service.

One of the best restaurants for breakfast by far in the east end of Ottawa , absolutely amazing price for their breakfast compared to many other breakfast restaurants. The atmosphere is extremely friendly, good sports are played almost all the time. Service is absolutely incredible, they know whats on the menu , they get their customers served in a proper and timely manner. The food is so satisfying that it makes me and most of my friends or family crave it every couple of weeks . If you have not tried going for their breakfast I highly recommend for amazing price, quantity and quality .

The food was good but they forgot us and the it took 15 minutes for me to get water and 15 more minute for them to take my order but I give it a 4/5 cuz it been ten year that I come tjj ok johnny and it s the first time I have a mid experience oh yeah the food is amazing

FOR MY FIRST TIME wanting to try Jonny Canuck s, it will probably be my last time I try to visit. We got here at 9:40am and were seated right away. It s now 10:24am and not 1 water/waitress has come to see us. I ve been noticing that they have been seating others as they walk in and they have been given a waiter. I see 4 waiters/waitresses standing talking, laughing, and wrapping silverware at the greeting counter while no one NOT 1 has come to see us. 2 have just been seated in front of us and have a waiter. While we still not have been given 1. We left as soon as I seen it happen. You lost a customer to poor service. WORST SERVICE EVER!! WILL NOT BE RETURNING!

They skimp out on the appetizer platter. They gave 2 of almost everything so its not great to share with anyone which defeats the purpose of a large sharable platter.

Wasnt the best service this time around. The amount of fruit flies while I was trying to eat was intense at the bar. No coffee top ups, waited a while to be served a menu and Im pretty sure I ate fruit flies while trying to eat my breakfast.

To experience Jonny s on a Thursday night surrounded by good friends is an experience that all should enjoy at least once in their lifetime. There are plenty of televisions all broadcasting the latest greatest sporting events, so the poor betting choices that some of said friends made can unravel in real time right in front of you. The chicken wings, where to begin? It is apparent from the beginning the love and care that go into these, the king of appetisers. They are definitely hand selected as the quality of each and every wing is second to none. From the delicate flats to the plump, juicy drums. You really can t go wrong with any of their in house made specialty sauces. A salute to chicken in general, they were enjoyed by all. Except for bruschetta guy, what s up with him?

Pretty disappointing to come to a bar that states they close at 2:00 but then they decide that they want to close 2 hours early and close the kitchen way earlier than expected. Brittany was a great server!

I went there for brunch with my family today around 10:30am (3 of us). I was seated at a table that fits 6 people....soon or later the small round table behind me was avaliable for more than 10 mins and i realized the host had no intension to seat anyone there, then i asked my waitress if it was ok i switched to that smaller table so my table for 6 can be avaliable for other big party. They seems to be confused ... i moved to the smaller one, the table was not even wiped yet. So we ordered our food, as soon as she left with our order, we wanted to change one of our dish from Egg benedict to Montreal smoke meat benedict (basically just added Smoke meat to it and we up sale the food), we waved at her to ask for change if it was not too late, but she said the order had been placed....sounds like she didnt want to do the extra work....but i told it just added on some smoke meat thats all.....she turned around and left ...didnt come back to notify us the change had been made or not.... Food came, Smoke meat was added to the order but she didnt say a word. All our home fries were cold, like sitting in the kitchen for awhile, toast were cold also. She kept coming to our table and asked for how was the food, were you done (we were still eating as she can see it!!)...she was kind of rushing us wanted to give her the table....but i didnt see her asking other tables.....I think she asked 4 times in total and lastly collected our dishes and asked if we wanted the bill..... i said ok, we paid. We were about to leave but i realized I wanted to finish my coffee first, so we sat down again, soon or later she came up to me and asked if i wanted to order something else, i told her i wanted to finish my coffee. I noticed people were waiting for tables, but no other tables were served like ours, kept bugging by the waitress and her attitude was so rude, no professional at all. We were so upset by her services and the food was that great neither. I would not recommend to anyone. Bad service and food.
