Excellent meal for takeout! Fast and courteous service, we have just made a great discovery!

Love their crispy chicken wings, open end egg rolls, hot and sour soup.

I ordered food from here, they messed up my order. I have food allergies that they told me their food didn t contain and when I told them they made me pay for it again. Never in my life have I heard of a restaurant messing up your order and they blame it on you. Horrible service, and mediocre food. Absolutely do not recommend.

Called and was given false information. Then called back to ask what they would do to make it right. They said we will talk to employee. I asked how will you make it right? They said we can not do anything

Called for some wonton soup and it was really quick like 10min! Phone barely rang before someone answered as well. Will order and pickup from here again and try their other dishes.

Best chinese food in Orleans and great customers service

Old school Chinese Canadian food done really nicely. Takeout and delivery only so the 4 stars for atmosphere are just for being a clean, cheerful and efficient to pick up your food. Sweet and sour chicken balls, chow mein, chicken fried rice, egg rolls. Dont know if theres much in the way of authentic Chinese cuisine on the menu, but they do a fabulous job on the Chinese food of my childhood. Dinner for 2 could easily have fed 4, and no skimping on the proteins - big chunks of chicken throughout. They told me the takeout order would be ready in 15 mins, and it was.

Atmosphere? Its a fine takeout counter.

Order was called in at 4:00 for delivery, said it would take apx 2 hours as they were busy. By 8:00 still no delivery, called back to see when this will arrive as 4 hour wait time is absurd. The chicken balls and egg rolls were cold, the kung pow shrimp requested and listed on the receipt was chicken but price wasn t corrected. Very disappointed and will not return.

This is our 3rd order within 1 month. We have been in Orléans since 2008 and had ordered from a few other places but never this place. So one month ago I told my wife we should try a different place. So after looking at reviews on Google. I came across Lucky House which had 4.3 . Based on the reviews we decided to order from them.......WOW!!! We would order maybe 4 times a year but since trying Lucky House as I stated above weve already ordered 3 times in 1 month. There food is just as I remember chinese food was when I was young (Im 49 now). The quality and taste of their food is out of this world. Thank you for your awesome food!!! Please dont change.

Great service and food was very good. My husband surprised me with dinner for my birthday today and the server sent a thoughtful gift with our meal of a chopstick set. Food was very good.

I usually go to Asia wok. Well Asia wok isnt open on Mondays and it just cost them a long time customer. This is my first time ever ordering from here. The food at lucky house is actually very good except for the egg roll. I may have had a bad batch? The chicken balls are now my favorite chicken balls ever. Sorry asia wok,your odd choice of closing on Monday just cost you a customer of 12 years.

By far, the best Chinese food in Orléans! The portions are generous, and the food is always fresh and delicious. We have been ordering from Lucky House for well over ten years, and we were never disappointed.

The lunch special is a generous portion that can be shared or a large portion if you are feeling glutinous.

Terrible customer service. Man at cash couldnt even say hi and got food poisoning from their food. Definitely never going back there.

It was my first time ordering from Lucky House and probably the last time since both my wife and I found the food to be only so-so in general. The egg rolls are hard, the chicken fried rice was lacking in taste and the rice was over cooked and a bit mushy. The garlic spare ribs were ok but nothing to rave about. The sweet and sour chicken balls were mostly dough, and the General Tao was too sweet and needed more heat. I have to admit that both my wife and I are demanding but restaurants in Orleans are generally unappealing to us! Sorry.

A busy day and no plan for dinner? Lucky House turned into my dinner savior in mid-December 2021 on my way back from a business trip. Called the order in ahead and it was hot and ready on time as promised. The pic doesnt show the open end egg rolls because they were snatched up quickly and disappeared however they were contenders to match a certain Carlingwood restaurant. The feature was chicken and broccoli with rice plus a vegetarian spring roll (the thing that looks like a small log on the plate) plus the anticipated fortune cookies. Staff at LH are polite, friendly and prompt. Despite the short drive home the food was still hot and delicious. The spring roll was a real mouthful of veg goodness deep fried. The chicken was tender and the broccoli was still slightly crisp. It was a great first experience of take out with LH and weve gone back several times since. Enjoy!

Hot and fresh takeout style chinese food with great portion size. Also the only place ive been so far without a metalicy tasting sweet and sour chicken ball sauce! Also open late, so great for anyone craving a late night plate.

First of all let me say the quality of the food is great. This place obviously makes great tasting food. My issue is with this whole tipping thing. If you don t tip for takeout you get the look which is quite uncomfortable. If you increase your prices to ensure you cover the cost of tips I will still go and get takeout from you. But please don t make your customers uncomfortable when they don t tip on takeout.

Ordered at 4:30, they said 35 minutes. I showed up at 5:10, wasnt ready. They said they would call me when it was ready. Waited in the car for a hour. By 6:15 I went in again and they said it wasnt ready. I just left and got something else. Will never order again.

My go to place for Chinese Food. Dynamite like usual, spring rolls (must haves) with a really good plum sauce (killer combo); tried today the Garlic Spare Ribs: fall off the bone, meaty. Beef with Broccoli was above expectations: soft beef pieces not overcooked, with tender vegetables dominated by broccoli. Well done again!!

I have been ordering food from Lucky House for a year now and have never been disappointed. Their service is mind blowingly fast, the food is always exceptionally fresh and hot, the portion sizes are generous, prices are fair and their food is hands down the best Chinese food Ive ever had. Unlike other Chinese food places, menu items like the General Taos chicken and Orange Beef feel like unique made-in-house dishes, not out-a-freezer ones. If you enjoy high quality, delicious Chinese food, this is the place to get it.

Ordered around 445 on a friday... they said no problem it will be about an hour... received no phone and they didnt answer their phone either... at 630 we gave up and did something else for dinner finally showed at 7:05. Driver ride non apologetic.

Placed an order, was told there would be a half hour wait. An hour later I called to check, and after trying for 10 minutes to get through I reached an operator who informed me my order was out and should be arriving any minute... an hour later I called back, and they had no record of my order. I don t recommend ordering from here without a back-up plan. Might be the best Chinese food in Ottawa - I ll never know.

I have only eaten here once (was in town visiting family). Food was good. Portion sizes were great (the spring rolls were freakin giant). Prices were ok. I will be ordering from here again next time I m in town.

All in all, this recipe evokes General Tao s Chicken which is not bad but....is it still a Crispy beef? Funny enough, we loved this plate! OVERALL TOTAL: 3,8

I was violently ill with vomiting and diarrhea (at the same time!) after eating a takeout meal from Lucky House. I will NEVER eat there again, and I certainly dont recommend it!

Good Food, but very expensive, bought house fried rice, chicken soo guy, egg rolls, general taho chicken, and bean sprout beef, $114.00, like I said food was very good, price wise I can do without chinese food for a long time.

Usually one of the best Chinese takeaways in the area, the food was not up to the normal : the moo goo har kiu did not have its usual sauce and the chicken were encased as for chicken balls, while my green curry with beef had a spicy sauce but it was missing the sweet and sour components in Thai cooking. Will try again. Otherwise, at dinner hour when delivery is normally estimated at one hour plus, it was ready to pick up in 25 minutes.

Have been a client since day 1. Maybe 30 years. Great food.

Used to be my favorite place to order a few years back. Now things taste horribly different. Chicken balls taste microwaved and rubbery. Same with the space ribs. Price is not the most competitive around either. Just not the same anymore. They had to go and ruin a good thing. Its not the worst food around but not even close to what it was before.

My family and I often order from Lucky House at Fallingbrook and as far as we are concerned it is the best as far as food preparation, quality and service. And the prices are very reasonable. We recommend them to all our friends as well. You can order pick up or delivery and the food is always fresh and hot. Its our place for Chinese food!

We havent gone here in years because, face it, its North American Chinese for the most part. My wife wanted spring rolls tonight, so I went and ordered 4. They said 15 minutes, so I popped next door to the drugstore. I came back in 15 minutes and they still werent ready. I waited several more minutes, then caught someones attention, and they said a few more minutes. I was getting ready to just get up and leave. The woman there said just a couple more minutes. It took 30 minutes for 4 spring rolls. I believe they waited until I came back from the drugstore before starting them. Whatever. I will never return.
