Love this place for brunch in Orleans. The coffee is great and a nice menu. Always great service too!

Had the scallops, French onion soup and creme brulee. All delicious, excellent service and very nice experience.

Ok place, but nothing too special. The kitchen closes at 9 p.m. on Saturday evening.

I dined at this restaurant in the past. I was looking forward to a nice meal. It was a total flop. I ordered the duck breast risotto, not exactky cheap. The meat was way over-cooked and so salty it was impossible to eat. The parmesan chip was burned and impossible to eat. I mentioned that to the server and asked her for a better dish. She checked with the chef and came back saying that the duck breast was supposed to taste that way. I was asked to order another dish. Not impressed! Unfortunately this will be my last visit.

Went here with a couple friends to celebrate my birthday a few weeks ago. Our first impression was that it was a cute place with a good atmosphere. We were asked where we d like to be seated which was nice but after that the experience just went down hill. It took about 10 minutes for us to be brought our menus. During those ten minutes we noticed there looked to be just one server working and another employee sitting at the bar on her phone (we knew she worked there because we had to go ask her for some ketchup after our server stopped checking up on us). We all ordered the same waffle meal. We had waters with it because we were never asked about what drinks we d like. Thirty minutes into waiting for our waffles the server came by to inform us they were almost out of syrup and had enough left for one of the three of us to have it on our waffles. That was whatever but I would have preferred they d mentioned that when we first ordered. The food took an hour to arrive. We got to the restaurant at noon and our food arrived at around 1:30. Our waters were mostly empty by the time we got our food but the server never returned to refill them so we had to ration it to get through the meal. We were starving by the time we got our food so we all dug right in. First thing I noticed was that my bacon was rock solid and one piece had a hair on it. I put that to the side and tried to cut up my waffles. Emphasis on TRIED because they were also rock solid. They made a clanging noise against my plate like an actual rock. I tried to get past that and just eat them but the taste and texture were so strange. Also the whipped cream and berries were disappointing. Barely any whipped cream and there seemed to be just one strawberry that had been diced into the smallest little pieces. My home fries were uncooked in the middle, cold, and not seasoned well. The waffles came with melon and orange slices (all dry). Basically this was the worst meal I ve ever been served but I m a very non confrontational person so I just ate it and pretended it was fine. My friends had slightly better meals but were very upset about the service and the obviously poor quality of my meal. When the server came to collect our dishes at the end of the meal I slid our dishes closer to him so he could collect them easier. When I slid our glasses over, he laughed and asked if I wanted more water or something. This was upsetting because we had each had one small glass of water for our entire dry meals. My friends tipped nothing and I tipped 10% because it just felt wrong to not tip. All three of us usually tip 20% for service that is at least bare minimum (water refilled, menus given as we sit down, food is decent, server doesn t laugh at us, food doesn t take an hour to be served, etc). We usually tip 25% for great service. We did notice we were definitely the youngest people in the restaurant (it was noon on a Saturday). Not sure if that had something to do with how it felt like we were being given poorer service than the older customers. It was very frustrating to see customers who came in after us getting their food way before us. All in all this was a horrible experience. I d just wanted to have a fun time with my friends and celebrate my birthday but we were left unsatisfied and frustrated. I think this restaurant would be greatly benefited by hiring more servers and educating the current ones on what servers do (ie. ask customers what drinks they d like to order, check in on customers at least once during their meal). Also, consider acquiring a waffle maker from this century as I myself could have cooked thirty waffles in the time it took this restaurant to cook three. It was appalling to see a restaurant being ran like this.

This used to be our go to breakfast spot.. until today. We waited 45 minutes for an awful looking breakfast - My scrambled eggs were brown and my bacon was burnt. The Japanese soufflé pancakes my husband ordered were literally crepes we could have made at home. No whip cream, no fruit as advertised on the menu. I d be embarrassed to serve plates like that to paying customers. Very disappointed and we will not be returning.

A cozy gem of a restaurant. Busy, even on a Monday night. The single server Amelia made it look easy and even had time to chat us up for a minute. The mains were excellent and came out quickly. The highlight of the evening was the bread pudding - a recent addition to the menu. Overall a wonderful experience.

So....this is one of our favourite places in Orleans, and has been since it opened years ago. The food was always reliably good, often great, and the service friendly and professional. Our last two experiences have been far below their nomal standard, in terms of our food. When we went a few weeks ago, my wife had a pasta dish and I had the steak frites, which I love there. My steak was chewy and tough (it was medium-rare to rare, so it was not tough due to overcooking). We chalked it up to a one-off bad steak night for the kitchen, and didnt mention it to our server. We returned last night, and my wife had the chicken fricassee, which was cold and had no flavour at all in the sauce. My steak was also cold, and extremely tough (I had to work hard with the steak knife to cut through any piece). We had to tell the waitress, who was spectacular and apologized profusely, telling us the food would obviously be comped, and we ordered the garden salad with chicken instead. It was good. When it was time to pay, we had only to pay for our drinks; the salads were comped, as well. This server knows how to deal with problems effectively. She is worth whatever theyre paying her, and more. She had also told us when we came in that the kitchen was working with only some of its equipment available, due to repairs they were making on something. We acknowledge that that could impact their ability to put meals together, but it doesnt account for the lack of seasoning on the chicken, nor our previous experience weeks ago when the repairs were not an issue. Overall, then, our last two experiences were not good food-wise, and well have to think hard about when or whether to go back.

Its hard to believe that such an unassuming place in the middle of Orleans has such elevated cuisine. The food is always spectacular. You have to try the Pudding Chomeur for dessert.

Went there the other night ate bad fish and got sick after eating only one bite. Everybodys food at our table was awful. Ive been there a few times before and the first time was great. The second time was ok. Seems like the place is going down hill. DO NOT order the fish. I hope they can do better for the next people. I do wish them all the best im just posting this so people can make sure if they do order the fish they smell it first. And if theres any hint of arsenic flavor spit it out straight away.

This restaurant has been around for years, my husband and I finally decided to go for dinner this past Saturday. My husband started with the soup of the day it was potato and leek and it was delicious. I started with the Tuna it was amazing. For our mains my husband had the chicken friccases and I had the olive oil poached cod. Both dinners were delicious seasoning and cook was on point. The bread pudding is absolutely devine. I dont know why we waited so long to try this place out but Im glad we finally did.

Showed up before 8pm. The employee told me the restaurant was closed. Looks like your staff wanted to get home. It s okay though, I went to the Tap Room and had the most delicious French Onion Soup and Bacon Cheese Burger I ve ever had Service

What a truly wonderful discovery. Went with another couple and really wasnt sure what to expect. The staff are VERY attentive. The menu is wonderful there is something for everyone . They can accommodate food allergies like Gluten Free and Lactose Free without difficulty. And the portions are exceptional. Thanks for a great evening!

Used to be amazing!!! We went today and the food was way subpar. It was really disappointing. Weve been going there a few times a year for a while now but over the last few years, it has been on a steady decline. This was the last time for us, unfortunately.

What an amazing birthday. The service is top notch. I did not have to wait or raised my hand LOL. My salmon tartar was delicious. The filet mignon was wonderful. My mimosa amazing. And my creme brulee compliments from St Martha was wonderful. Our waitress was excellent. Thank you for your hospitality. We will be back soon

Food used to be great, but in the past few months its been consistently mid. Quality has really gone down, but the prices have gone up a bit. Staff is really kind and attentive.

Yesterday was our first visit to the Brasserie and it will probably be our last... which is unfortunate since my friend had been there on two/three occasions and enjoyed his experience. This was not the case last night. The service? Deplorable! The bottle of wine was placed on our table. My friend uncorked it and poured us a glass. We brought the second course before even having served the dishes from the first course. It was only after my mother burned her fingers that the waitress told her the bowl was hot. Food? Fair. We chose the pasta dish. The pasta was floating in a sauce where we had to search for the ingredients. The taste, in general, was not bad, although much too salty, but the presentation and the lack of vegetables made the dish not very pleasant to eat. Service: Deplorable from start to finish. Food: passable with very few ingredients (except the sauce!) for $27. Thatched pudding: the one and only highlight of our experience at the Brasserie.

This feels like a small peice of France in Orleans. - Great gf selection - They make everything fresh and from scratch. Youll always feels safe eating here with gluten allergy. - Free Wi-Fi - Recommend having reservation for dinner reservations. - This is a go to place for our family for take outs and special events but also for dine in. Dietary restrictions: Vegan, Gluten Free options.

Call to ask if they are Erving breakfast, they answer yes. I show up 10 minutes later they say they are full. Pretty awful business practice. Easy 1 star

I used to love this restaurant. Unfortunately, the last few times we went it was very subpar. Service was fine and food portions are appropriate but I find the quality of the food just isn t what it used to be. We ordered the soup to start. I couldn t finish mine because it was way too salty. The bread was fresh and really good. My main meal was the stuffed chicken and it was very bland and disappointing. My husband got the pork which he enjoyed but also found it lacking in flavour. For dessert we got the pudding chômeur which was pretty good. A tad dry but overall still very good. Over all experience was a bit disappointing. We used to go there all the time and always loved it. But this is the third time in the past year that we ve gone and we re not very impressed. I hope things will improve in the future but not sure if I ll go again or recommend it to friends and family. Very sad as I love local things and this restaurant used to be very good.

My husband and I have been really good patrons of the Brasserie over the years. This was our litle gem in Orleans. Unfortunatly the last couple of times we went, it was pretty bad. Our experience last night was terrible, food and service wise. Bland, boring plates, dry chicken roulade that was not a roulade, overcooked pasta and salmon. This is pretty sad and disapointing and we will not be going back.

Hard to find family owned goodness anymore! Loved our meal there and the service was great!

So very disappointed. My mother and I were in from Calgary for a funeral and stopped in for Sunday brunch before the service. We didnt have a reservation so knew it was a chance but we were stunned at how rude the 2 girls at the front were when we asked if we could get a table or perhaps get served at the bar. Just a shocking and incomprehensible experience at the tone and energy of the staff. Be on guard if ou attempt to go there and make sure you make a reservation to avoid being treated so rudely.

Had a delicious pork scallop with egg and mushroom noodle. The waitress was very attentive. A nice place to go when you want to eat something different and treat yourself.

The food is delicious! I love the menu that has good postions for a fair cost and packed with flavour. Service was very available and polite. Will be going back for their seasonal menu changes. Parking: Mall parking has tons of space never seen it to max capacity. Plus a secondary parking lot across the street if packed.

One of my go to places in Orleans for dinner. The food is freshly cooked. So tasty !! Clean kitchen clean restaurant. Friendly bilingual staff. They have all you can eat mussels on Tuesdays now for like $38 I think. I ordered the Moules-Frites and the Porc Fumé pizza. Yum yum.

What a difference from the last time we were there for dinner. Reservation was for 5:15 and we were told we had to leave by 7:30. We waited an hour to receive our food. Its not a big restaurant so I dont understand why it took so long. 4 people said the fish and chips were terrible. The hamburger was so greasy, it was disgusting. Did not enjoy our evening. Will be a long while before we darken their door again. Parking: Parking is terrible.

I am giving this restaurant one star because of service. My husband and I were promptly seated and given water as we made a reservation. After that we didn t see our server for 30mins. When our server finally arrived back at our table, we placed our order for drinks and food. We were then told what we wanted was no longer available, Very disappointed as my husband and I finally had a night out without kids.

This was a lunch break. Luckily we did not have to rush back to the office, as it took 45min to be served our meal. The service was fine, and the food good, but for lunch it seems overlong to wait for a meal.

The service was far better than the food was my response when asked if we enjoyed our meal. This is not a big establishment but the only server (name withheld) was super busy but seemed to give everyone very personal service - great job. As for the food, the only reason I gave this place a 2 out of 5 is because of the service. The food was a weak one 1 out of 5. The four of us ordered the French Onion Soup and while it looked good, there really was nothing special about it at all. It was ok. Two ordered the duck and two ordered the salmon. The duck seemed to have a raspberry coulee as you would expect on a dessert as opposed to a great demi glace or something more complimentary. At $30 per plate for the duck alone, it was overpriced for the quality offered. The salmon was certainly disappointing as it had been baked pretty dry. Instead of the cook pan searing the skin to make it nice and crispy, it was soggy and not edible. But, what really set me back was the mixture of cooked and undercooked rice. Quite obvious they had mixed two batches together and what you ended up with was a mouthful of cooked rice and uncooked bone in rice. Definitely not the quality you would expect at a refined restaurant. And while mistakes can happen, sometimes you just know this is not a one of. So why did I not send my dish back, we were the last to enter the restaurant and I could see that they had cleaned up or were cleaning up the counter/line in the kitchen. Further to this, based on my observations from the four meals we had and those I witnessed being served at another table, at best a replacement meal would have been marginally better, and I am sorry I was not waiting for this. Lastly, the kitchen is very open when walking back from the toilets, and I can assure you that kitchen needs an extensive deep cleaning. There is no way that much food on the floor is from one day; the kitchen was dirty. I am the first person to pay for quality food and will review it as such, but Im sorry, this was anything but. The service was great - but it really should not overshadow what you are eating.

The service was very good, and accomdating to our table. You can tell the staff truly enjoy serving every table no matter how busy. The food was a little bit of a wait, but the pork chops were amazing, seasoned incredibly well and everything just tasted amazing. I will defintely be back!

Compliments to the chef. I recently visited this restaurant with my wife, and we were blown away by the delicious food and excellent atmosphere. We ordered the pizza and pasta, and both dishes were outstanding. The pizza had a perfectly crispy crust and was loaded with fresh toppings, while the pasta was cooked to perfection and bursting with flavor. The ambiance of the restaurant was warm and inviting, with friendly staff who were attentive to our needs throughout our meal. The seating was comfortable, and the restaurant was spacious enough to accommodate large groups while still maintaining an intimate atmosphere. Overall, our experience at this restaurant was outstanding. We would highly recommend it to anyone looking for delicious food, excellent service, and an inviting atmosphere. Five stars all around!

Tried this restaurant based on its reviews. It turned out a BIG disappointment. Went there on a Monday and it wasnt busy. Service was good and thats the end of the good part. We ordered a salmon tartare for our appetizer. It came out a plate with diced raw salmon, few slices of crostini and cucumber. Not only the presentation was awful, the salmon had no flavor at all. Any Asian AYE sushi place can do better than that. My wife wanted to try their woodstone pizza. She ordered two pizzas - Margherita and Tarte flambée, to share with our two young kids. She told me to try couple bites as they did not taste good at all. I tried and they really tasted bad. Although, I certainly dont know how to make good pizzas, I know how bad pizzas are being made as I spent my youth working at a pizza franchise company. Their sauce was not house made. Toppings just tasted salty and nothing else. They also used multi-grain dough but it just not my person preference. And I absolutely could not taste or smell that the pizza was coming out from a woodstone oven. The last dish was my bavette steak and fries. I asked for rare but it came out overcooked even for middle-rare. It tasted alright, nonetheless. I did not send any dishes back to the kitchen as I dont believe in wasting food because of a bad chef. But I will stop wasting my money to go there again. And now I can understand why the Taproom right across is so busy and packed every night.

Went there on Thursday for dinner as a group of seven. Service was quick and polite, and the food was delicious. I had the quinoa and green salad with chicken (photo included), husband had the pulled pork pizza, and I hear the burger with skinny fries was also very good. We shared the pudding chômeur for dessert- I found it really sweet. The one thing I would have liked is padded seats. Its not too comfortable on hard wooden chairs, but everything else was great. The lighting was good, not too bright nor too dim! Parking: Free and available parking right in front.

Went for breakfast and was pleasantly surprised. Delicious meals, great portions and amazing price. The sausage was amazing and home fries were to die for. A bit too much seasoning on the eggs but the flavor was a welcome twist. Oh and the peach mimosa was heaven!

We held a surprise party for 30 guests and had to say that the venue and staff were outstanding. We were delighted to learn that the restaurant closed down for our group. There were a minor few minor hiccups with kitchen service but the waitstaffs attentive service more than made up. Food was delicious, planning was a breeze and our servers were awesome! Thank you for making our event such a pleasant, relaxed and fun evening.

It was my 2nd visit in ±5 years. I had breakfast/brunch with my son and DIL. My and DIL over-easy eggs were overcooked (the yolks had a hard-boiled egg consistency the white was rubbery), the sausage had grissely bits that I dont like in it, the waitress couldnt get the orders straight despite having written them down, and none of us got our toasts even though we all specified when placing our orders. Another sign of shrinkflation, I guess. Way expensive for the meal (eggs and bread, which wasnt served) and quality of food. Coras plates are better, so is the food selection, for approx. same price point.

Father s Day. Apparently they were so booked we can only get 5:30 for reservation. We left at 8:00 and there were seven tables occupied. The appetizers, there is soup and salads. They ran out of tartare, mussels. So we skipped the apps. My mom got a dry Coq au vin. We had to ask for extra sauce. The seafood linguine was missing some seasoning. The seafood was well cooked but there was no flavour. The duck confit was very good but you could not taste the ginger in the gastrique and was a little sweet. The pudding chômeur was excellent and the deconstructed lemon pie was delicious. There was a metal panel just sitting on the diner s side. Not sure what this was doing there. Not too appealing. I want to thank our server. She was great!! You spend $300 for dinner, I expected better. It s been a while since I had dinner there and I think I will wait as long to go back.

Our server this morning was amazing. We were the first people there , more people came as were there. We always had what we needed or more.She was fantastic with our children. 10 0f 10. As always the food was very good. We had brunch and coffees.

(Update - mussels made me ill later that night) Of the 2 appetizers, I would recommend against anyone ordering either one. Moules frites was the worst Ive had, didnt bother finishing it. Waitress asked how everything was, so I mentioned the mussels were not good and she explained that it was because they are Pacific mussels and I must be used to Atlantic mussels... I could do without the condescension - I have eaten both and these were just bad, not fresh and sitting in an insipid sauce, why make it about me supposedly not knowing what it is supposed to taste like? The baked brie needed another few minutes in the oven. As for the entrees, the duck confit was so so and the tagliatelle was fine. Overall, not exactly a nice meal out.

Service was great but food was meh. We had the appitizer olive and fruit. There was too many olives for the amount of croustini and was missing something like cheese and had too many fruits to be honest. For main dish we had the pasta which had way to much cream. Taste was good, but after a few bites it was overwhelming for the amount of cream. We also had the coq au vin which tasted alright at best and chicken was overcook and dry.

Great food and service! Very knowledgable about gluten free. Dedicated fryer!! Amazing. Coming here again next week. Make sure to try the duck.

Our family got food poisoning last night from this restaurant. I would not recommend it to anyone.

Server was very accommodating when we had to move inside from the patio because of the wasps circling our big group that included children. Mussels tasted superb, even my three year old wouldn t stop eating them. Pizza was delicious and steak was cooked to perfection! Def want to return without kids so I can eat the food when it s warmer

This was our first time at St. Marthas and we were disapointed. The French Onion Soup was definitely missing onions and cheese. The taste was ok but not more then about one soup spoon of onions, if that, and one tea spoon of cheese. I should have returned it but I did notified the server after we paid so they could hopefully rectify in the future. The main meal was ok but the presentation was laking for the price. For example the house made aioli served with the Bavette and fries looked like it was a leftover from a previous customer. So we asked the server about it and she said it was served that way. I should have taken a picture my bad. In any case that was unfortunatelly our first and last visit at that restaurant.

The food, service, and atmosphere were all very good. Its worthy of a return visit.

Its got to be the best place for lunch/dinner in all of Ottawa. From their phenomenal pizzas, seared salmon salad and mussels and frites.. just to name a few delicious dishes. Not to mention Helena who is the top notch friendliest person to ever work service. The wine variety is fantastic. The atmosphere cozy during lunch time. This place never disappoints.

Best Breakfast in Orleans

Lovely little French restaurant, very small and cozy, recommend reservations. I had a great meal although my dates flank steak was cooked rare instead of medium as she ordered. Food : 4/5

The place was clean, the decor was pretty and the service was great. The food on the other hand Imagine if someone had tried to replicate the recipes of authentic French or Italian cuisine with just the pictures. I didn t have the heart to try and explain everything that was wrong with our meals to the staff.

Xaviers service was excellent. I wish I could say the same about the food... Perhaps there was a turnover of staff in the kitchens because the reviews suggested a great experience. The Margherita pizza was simply a slap in the face to Italy. No taste, poor ingredients and very poorly made pizza dough . Same thing for Boeuf du Languedoc . We drove 40 minutes to try this restaurant to be told they are closing over an hour before the time they closed rudely.

This is the best breakfast brunch lunch place in Orleans. Hands down! Its all top quality items, the staff is nice and intelligent and the place is always clean. You need to make reservations for weekend breakfast though...

An amazing establishment to go dine with friends and family or just alone, I ve been many times, the food is just wonderful and the staff are always so kind and polite.

I had an incredible experience at this French Canadian gem! The portions (I got the Coq au Vin Blanc) here are incredibly generous without compromising on quality. Every dish served was a delicious celebration of flavours. The friendly service only added to the entire dining experience. The staffs knowledge and recommendations truly enhanced our meal. If youre looking for a place with not only fantastic food but also a welcoming atmosphere and generous portions, this restaurant is an absolute must visit!

Have been craving fish and chip for a few weeks so decided to try this place. Ordered fish and chips for two ahead of time in hopes of getting a fresh meal and hot meal. Everything was overcooked and dry. First and last time for us!! Very disappointed!!

Orléans has gone upscale.I warn you, the delicious shredded duck poutine feeds 2 and nothing better than a perfectly made french onion soup to warm you up.Support this place!

We just ate dinner post COIVID at this awesome Orleans restaurant. The chefs are both new and the head chef Keith use to work for the Weston family in Toronto. The menu has also been updated and was nicely presented and very tasty. The wine and beer choices were limited, but the selection was just fine and reasonably priced. Our server Ms. Max also treated us well. YOU MUST EAT HERE!

We had a lovely date night without kids, the first in quite a while. The restaurant only reopened recently, but it was as if it had never closed. The service was professional, the food was delicious and we quite enjoyed our evening out. I had the fish and chips (gluten-free) and my wife had the duck confit, both of which were delicious! We highly recommend this restaurant and we look forward to coming back!

Cocktails are outstanding in this little hidden gem. The place is warm and cozy. Sebastian served us and his cocktails are aaahhmaaazingly delicious! Will definitely come back again to try the food.

Cute little restaurant, with very pleasant staff. Started with the charcuterie board for 2. Full honesty, somewhat of a confusing dish. Orange slices and strawberries seemed out of place. Cheese selection was varied by means of type of cheese, yet all were of blue varieties, which was somewhat disappointing. Main course was the duck leg which was well cooked and plated, and tasted delicious! For dessert, creme brulee, outstanding! SO SO good! All-in-all a nice, small, non-mainstream restaurant.

This is a wonderful little restaurant. It reminds me of a hole-in-the-wall restaurants in Paris. The food is very well prepared and the dishes are cleverly designed. Id recommend this restaurant if youre looking for a very good French dining experience.

We had such a great dining experience with the staff, so much so that we will have to be back. Our leftovers were cold after we hung out for a bit and they prepared a whole new meal without us asking. The food and drinks were also exceptional. Highly recommend!

Excellent brunch. I am picky enough to not even try the brunch in Orleans as its mostly filled with Broadways type of junk, but I was thoroughly surprised by the quality of ingredients, craftsmanship, and service. Now I dont have drive to Gezellig or Chesterfield for my weekly brunch! As Doug Ford would say....my friends, this place can compete with the best of them in the Downtown and Westboro and that makes me Orleans proud. * 4 stars because coffee seemed to be off and we tried both drip and cappuccino. Hopefully, someone reads this comment and fixes it for us for our brunch next week.

Good quality food and decent specials. I recommend getting a reservation ahead of time though since the restaurant tends to fill up quickly. Waitress was friendly and forgot my drink, but they did seem to be very short staffed. Only 2 wait staff doing all the seating, orders, and drinks.

We had dinner at this hidden gem in Orleans last night and liked it so much we returned to try their breakfast menu this morning. It did not disappoint. For dinner, the escargot followed by the fish and chips (which are gluten free) was incredible! The seafood pasta was delicious. The crème brûlée was done to perfection: crispy sugar crust and perfectly textured custard. For breakfast we had the skillet and the crepes. Again, the food was excellent - the only way this place could be better would be to have oysters as a regular appetizer on the menu(a scarcity in Orleans). Well done Martha s! We will be back.

A very nice surprise for this little restaurant that we had not yet noticed. A very friendly team and absolutely delicious dishes. The quality is really there, we found typically French flavors, a real treat for a very affordable price. I highly recommend

Sadly I did not have a good experience with their Prix-fixe menu this weekend. By all means, it was delicious, and I understand 4-courses takes time. However, I waited no less than 30 minutes between each course. The rest of my party was halfway done their meal items when I received my soup. They paid for the table an had to leave before I even got my main course. That s when we were accosted by our waitress, complaining that she had to pay a portion of our bill for sitting at the table when we don t tip what?? Let s dive into this one; my father in law paid for the dinner. The waitress approached me and my husband to complain about the tipping issue, which we were unaware of until that point. He didn t even hear what she was complaining about. Ok, back to the meal, she already knows we re all a little disappointed in our service, and yet it still took another 30 minutes after finish my lamb for my Creme brûlée to appear. And it wasn t even the lemongrass and basil Creme brûlée. It was their standard vanilla, dressed to look like the weekend special. Again, very disappointing, especially because this was the whole reason I got the prix-fixe menu. In short, if you want a tip, ensure quality service and timely food delivery. Is there is an issue in the kitchen, communicate that to your table. You didn t get a tip because your service was criminally slow.

Excellent dinner on a lovely patio in Orleans. The kale ceasar salad was a great start to our evening. I enjoyed the chicken and my husband enjoyed the duck. Marissa, our server, was lovely. Thank you and we will be back soon!

I met an old friend for breakfast this morning and I couldnt have been more surprised to find Croque-monsieur on the menu. It was absolutely delicious. The last time I had this was a few years ago in the United States and I havent seen it on a menu since. Sébastien was our server and he did a tremendous job. We will definitely be back.

Breakfast was excellent. Top notch. The Lavergnes meats, the sourdough bread. Service was great. Need to go more often.

Their food was delicious, especially the potatoes However, the service is slow. We waited around 40 mins for our breakfast plates. Also, since it is a small place, it is being loud, which makes it difficult to hear each other.

Nice little restaurant and staff was really nice and welcoming. I do have to say that we were disappointed with the dinner and dessert. My wife had the duck but originally wanted the Fettuccine dagneau and was informed that they couldn t make it but could do chicken fettuccine, fine, but still disappointed so she went with duck. I had the fish and chip, nothing to brag home about. The fish was ok but more fries then the size of fish. Now dessert, my family had the crème brûlée and one of them was done perfectly and the other was hard, too hard to even crack, but the taste of the crème was apparently good. My biggest disappointment was the pouding chômeur, chunks of what looked like French toast but thicker and denser drenched in fake maple syrup with some blueberries (not sure why the blueberries, I ve never been served pouding chômeur with them) and whipped cream, if you call the restaurant French cuisine please do represent the cuisine. That pouding chaumeur was terrible and we have been having stomach issues all day. Not very pleasant.

Service can range from 3 stars to 5 stars. Overall its a fantastic place to eat. Menu is TINY but absolutely delicious. I recommend the bavette steak. Ive had the duck and chicken as well but the portions are quite small. The Bavette steak portion is just PERFECT. Atmosphere is elegant but laid back. No need to dress up but you can if you want. Brunch menu is quite nice and the portions seem to be much larger than the lunch/dinner menu items. Their mimosas are great according to my wife. I definitely suggest checking out atleast once!

I had dinner here for my birthday, and I was happy with the food. Service was good. Our server was kind and polite. It wasnt busy that night, so food came out at a good pace. The restaurant is warm and romantic, especially at night. I didnt particularly love the food, as it tasted overly-buttered, and salted. Some flavour and herbs I wanted to taste were lacking. It may be that I have a palate for more seasonings in dishes I enjoy at restaurants. Nonetheless, I enjoyed having dinner here. Its the only good restaurant in Orleans.

Went to Ste Marthe with friends. Great food and great service. Well worth it - our waiter Jeremy was friendly and personable. Will definitely be returning soon !

I was very disappointed in my experience on Friday nightsept 17th. The 2 servers deserve a medal. They did their best but it was clearly way to busy for 2 people. It took 30 mins to get our drinks and an hour for our food. When my gluten free pizza arrived it was overcooked crust on edges burnt. I tried to eat it but it tasted like carboard. Pic attached. The server was very apologetic and offered a new one or to order something else. Unfortunately at this point i realky didnt feel like waiting another hour to eat so i opted to not get something else. They did remove the pizza from the bill. Where were the owners? They should have been there pitching in. Or some reservations should have been cancelled. Its really hard to make up for poor service and ecen harder for bad food.

There was a time when it was the best place to have breakfats - unfortunately its now a thing of the past - we have never had food so disgusting and which is more ridiculously expensive than our meal this morning.

Food was cooked perfectly and was delicious. Our server Grace was polite, helpful, and professional. Excellent experience. We will be coming here again.

The food wasn t my favourite. I have been to a lot of French restaurants and this was by far the worst. My food was so bland. I ordered a steak with fries and garlic aioli. It was basically mayo. Zero flavour. My husband got the veal. Same thing bland. For 68$ without drinks I kinda expected more. We prolly won t be back. I will say waitress was wonderful and she was great. She explained the menu and even suggested a few things. She was the best part of the experience. I don t know if the chef was off today but for such high reviews I expected better

Service was excellent after we were acknowledged. It did take 10 minutes before the hostess even came to say hello on a very quiet night. But thereafter, she was lovely. Food was served promptly. The food is copious, the most generous charcuterie board for the price that i have ever seen! The tomato chutney we loved. However main courses were WAY off the mark. The bavette was good, not amazing, but good . The poisson frite was inedible. The fish inside the incredibly hard/crunchy ( tooth breaking hard) batter was mush, not flaky, like frozen too long or i don t know, but akin to mashed potatoes and flavourless. No one would eat it. The flatbread shrimp chimichurri again had no flavour. Bland. Tasteless. You could have put tofu instead and you wouldn t have known the difference. And the salmon was Christmas vacation, dunk in your water, dry and overcooked. With nothing tasty going for it. With 2 teenage boys at the table, we very rarely leave any food at the table . This time 3of the dishes were almost untouched. Never ever seen that happen. My kids have eaten all over the world. Eaten stuff most people wouldn t even try. So I would never go back. ambiance , but if I can manage to change that, I ll put it to a 2.5 stars for ambiance, service, and copious amounts. 4 person , over 200$ fiasco

Such a lovely evening! Salmon tartar and house made burrata were a perfect start to a great evening. The steak was perfectly cooked and delicious. We had all three of the desserts and they were all special and tasty. Great ambiance and full of regulars. Go early to avoid the line!

Serendipity! Happened upon this lovely place nestled away from the road well travelled. The ambiance is welcoming and the staff very friendly. We followed Chef Dougalls suggestions and couldnt have been happier! The off-menu salmon tartar (only served when the fish monger makes the delivery) was a deep pink and impeccably paired with house made potato chips. The burrata is also made in house and has a pleasant texture accompanied with these miniature embryonal corn husks that taste surprisingly like corn! The bavette was served to my temperature of choice and presented beautifully (understandably a popular item), and things were going so well that we tried all three desserts. I really enjoyed the creme brule, which I often dont as its hard to get just right. My wife quite enjoyed the panna cotta. We were lucky to stumble upon this gem in Orleans, and will definitely make the trip here again, most intentionally! Just had brunch - terrible. Coffee tasted like hot water. Eggs Benedict terrible, not sure what they think hollandaise sauce is supposed to be but it s certainly li not supposed to be a chicken broth based sauce. Eggs were way underdone. Would never go back.

Went to the St. Marthas Brasserie on Saturday 30th October. Sat and ate at the bar, bartender Madison was very friendly and explained the menu very well. Had salmon tartar and the Poulet et chutney à la mangue flatbread. Both dishes were delicious and served on time. Will definitively come back.

St. Marthes Brasserie is such a quaint little restaurant. The staff is super friendly and the food is fantastic. We tried a new menu item and didnt love it - they, very willingly, allowed us to just order something else instead! What a great experience

What a hidden gem! Absolutely perfectly composed meal. Extremely sophisticated and beautifully executed dish. We had the brunch burger and it was the best burger I have ever had. Gorgeously dressed salad. Cant wait to go back!

I am wondering if Chef has changed. Been a few times before and was good. Last night I ordered the bavette et Frites and the steak was raw , sent back and still came back undercooked and absolutely no flavor at all. The aiolo was the same with no flavor and the French fries were also undercooked. I used to get vegetables with this dish but not this time. My friends fish was soggy and the pudding chomeur was dry. The only pleasant experience was the waitress who was amazing. Dont think we will be back

My girlfriend s all got together here for a friend s Birthday and were greeted very warmly. Service itself was good, waitress was friendly but we have to try and get her attention a few times. 2 of my friends had the Steak and fries and neither were cooked correctly, one was literally just rare vs the medium rare she ordered (so had to be sent back) and the other was also medium rare but she ordered medium. Both steaks had no flavour at all. Fish and chips were also ok but again my friend just said the batter tasted like nothing, just bland. Then another one of us ordered salmon salad, said Salmon was ok, again not much flavour and it came with a pomegranate dressing but hardly any so had to catch the waitress for more. I ordered the escargot in a chimichurri sauce with butter and baked cheese. Came out all stuck together on a small plate and were so small and chewy. I have never been served escargot like that and definitely never have had some that were that tough. Mussels weren t bad, flavour was different (red curry with chorizo sausage). Wasn t a fan but again my choice so it tasted like description stated, last was the French pudding and it came out with just a little sauce on top and nothing else so was so very dry and crumbly. Very disappointed in the food here, heard great things, atmosphere was nice though but we were seated next to washroom. I would not say this is the #1 restaurant in Orléans by any means and would never go back.

What a lovely spot! We had thoughtful and attentive service and the kitchen happily accommodated an off menu request. The good is excellent, with generous portion sizes and quality ingredients. I particularly loves the bavette et frites and the pudding chomeour. Absolutely recommend!

Wouldnt be going back here ever again. Salmon used in the pasta was rock hard from being frozen too long and the pesto sauce was bland. The flank steak was under cooked and cold when I requested medium rare. They were out of green vegetables and the substitute carrots were raw. Nothing like paying $30 for a plate of fries. Ive had gourmet French cuisine and this wasnt even close. Very disappointing. In response to your excuse filled justification for a extremely poor meal, I suggest you review how your restaurant is described on Google Gourmet French cuisine & fine wines draw crowds to this upscale brasserie with a relaxed atmosphere. Im merely reiterating what I saw on the web. You are right that everyone is entitled to their opinion. Its unfortunate that you have taken offense rather than trying to improve.

This is by far my new favourite place in Orléans. I love the service and quality of food. I strongly recommend!! Dougall is a stellar CHEF! He provided us with the best service we ve ever had! I am coming back for my 40th birthday in a few weeks! And I am going to tell all my friends about this!
