So, whose brilliant idea was it to line the box of biryani with paper? If you wouldn t do that with curry, why would you do that with birayani that is basically curry and rice. The paper has gotten soaked and disintegrated into the food so it s inedible. I ordered chicken biryani, not paper biryani. I paid good money for this food. I want my money back!

avoid at all costs. I ve been eating Indian food for years. The food in this restaurant is the worst I ve ever had. I ordered a biryani and they served me four pieces of meat and a huge amount of overcooked disgusting tasting rice. It was gross. I ordered a butter chicken also gross. I don t know what standards these people are used to, but their food is horrible, and without a doubt I ll never order from them again. I called to talk to them about the ridiculous portion of meat in my biryani, and the woman hung up on me told me she would call me back, I didn t have my phone number to do so. When I called back, their solution was to have me send back the biryani somehow and then they would send me a new one I guess they expect me to interrupt my dinner to drive all the way over there and drop it off? This restaurant is the worst Indian restaurant I ve ever been to and no one should ever go here. They have no idea how to take care of customers and clearly have no culinary experience. if they bother to take the time to respond to this review, ignore their response.

EDIT #2: Made a review on UBER. Got this form Pak India You got two butter chicken price of one and still complaint. Hope you will stick with your words and never order again. This was a poor response, and was not what happened. EDIT 1 is what happened. Will not recommend this place to anyone, especially after the comments by them. EDIT 1: Ordered again. The butter chicken was small pieces of chicken and they were tough. The sauce was very watery.. The portion very small. The rice byriani was good but there was supposed to be buy one get one free and the free one never came. I will not recommend this place and will not order from here again. And they said sorry but would nto bring the extra rice. First time ordering. Butter Chicken, chicken Biyrani, vegetable pakors and naan. It was OK. The butter chicken was small pieces of white meat in very watery sauce. The chicken biyrani was good except for some pieces of chicken bone in it. Pakoras were very good and the naan was as expected. Have had better in Orleans and will probably not order form here again.

Best Indian restaurant in Orleans, their chicken butter is more than delicious!

We had a family dinner at Pak India this evening and we loved every dish! The food was delicious and the service was even better. We will definitely be going back very soon!

We went to this palace on Canada Day. Their beef kabob is juicy and delicious. We also tried their lamb korma, and it was average. I will recommend the beef Kabob. The owner is amiable and gives the best service.

This review was made 4 years ago during COVID. First time grabbing food here. Great options, great taste, and fast preparation. During this Covid Pandemic they even had the food ready on a table in the middle of the restaurant so there was no need to be close to anyone, assured me that the chase payment machine was sanitized before my use along with the door handles to the restaurant and had purell and sanitizing wipes on the same table. Very good experience with Pak India for my first time. Chana Masala, vegetable samosa, rice, and garlic naan were all great.

Worst Iftar Buffet in town! Where should I start? Not a single piece of item was good. Just wasted my 30 bucks... wish I had donated this money instead...The goat biriyani had no taste of spices..it was like a plain rice with meat. TOTALLY tasteless. They mixed only red food color to the chicken tandoori...no taste at all...if you get a Shan Masala and mix it with chicken and bake it you will still get some taste...their tandoori was a total garbage. Their welcome drink/ rooh afza... just eww...dont want to recall it even. The gulab jamum was burnt....cold and had no taste. These are the top worst food of this iftaar...rest of the items were a little less bad but still very bad in general. I would say just RUN....donate the money somewhere instead of spending it here....

We ordered through uber eats. Too much disappointment. We selected the option spicy but it was full of red chilli and too much to handle. We ordered seekh kabab and chicken karahi. It didn t look and taste like karahi. For me it was totally biryani masala. If we ignore the spice it was not tasty at all. Only 2 things were ok raita, naan and boiled rice.

The food quality was excellent when it opened but now the food has no taste. Biryani doesn t look or taste like biryani. Presentation is untidy. Seekh kebabs were not cook thoroughly. Almost every dish has big chunks of onions for garnishing. It sure isn t a Pakistani restaurant.

This is a great place to bring a date or family or even do some take out food. The Butter Chicken, the Palak Paneer, the Beef Vindaloo and the Naan breads are so delicious. The restaurant has been beautifully renovated, and the owner and staff are excellent. Our kids love the food too.

Been here 3 times. 1st time was good food with terrible service, 2nd time with terrible service (the staff mumbled and never smile). The 3rd time was last night. Service was terrible as the normal but now they have resorted to bringing out 2 baskets of bread when we ordered 3 and 2 bowls of rice when we ordered three. There were 3 people at my table we ordered 3 meals. Yet the 2 bowls of rice came out 15 min apart and the 3rd never came. We sat there for 20 min while our chicken get cold waiting for the 3rd bowl. When we questioned they said that in this restaurant 2 bowls are the same as 3. lol not sure where they went to school, but 3 is 3 and 2is 2. lol I paid with no tip. Never returning I d highly advise to stay away!

The restaurant mostly focuses on takeout or delivery. My in person dining was very good because the restaurant is quite empty. The hostess was busy, so we were a bit neglected. On the other hand, no one rushed us out. Wear a sweater. The last two times Ive been there, the place was cool to cold. Parking: The strip mall always has parking but not always directly in front of this unit. Kid-friendliness: There is no special support for kids. However, since the restaurant is rarely full, a bit of toddler wandering while the adults talk would be non disruptive. Wheelchair accessibility: The restaurant is not very accessible. There is a curb cut to get up to the door, but it isnt in front of the restaurant. There is a standard bumpy lip to the door. I did not check washroom access. I would stay it is accessible for someone using a walker, but not for someone using a wheelchair.

I had the first review given all this time. But today I realized what a mistake it was, about that review! We came here and been seated for a long time and there was no one to take the order! Finally I had to ask and then only the order was taken. Terrible service.

We just ordered and were very disappointed at the quality. The butter chicken was watered down, it looked like it was 50% coconut milk 50% water with chicken in it. The chicken Tika Masada and butter chicken, literally tasted the same and looked the same..... The Paneer Makhni was the highlight, but this still was watery and the flavour was still off of what it should be. We never, ever toss food...... this was the first time.

My comment is specifically about the person at the cashier and handling calls. I would regularly order Samosa Chat. In my opinion, thats the best dish at this restaurant. Today, the samosa chat was stale and burnt. I called the restaurant and raised the concern. The person on the telephone responded by saying dont order from here anymore. Extremely rude behavior. This restaurant definitely lost a regular customer today.

We went yesterday for the first time. I had heard good things about this and I am glad we stopped. I had a tender as could be lamb dish, my wife chose a vegetarian option. We both were very well fed. Instead of prepared in advance the chef mixed up our meals fresh and it showed. After we chatted a little bit with a gentleman who was, I think, the owner. It was great because we learned more about the cuisine, its origins, and regional differences over what is eaten by the people there. Im an enthusiastic talker and I wish we could have chatted more. Regardless we will return.

My fav restaurant. I went here for my birthday with all my friends and family. I am used to ordering from uber eats. It was my first time and I like how they bring empty plates and cutlery. The intention is whatever you order is shared as its large servings. Very unique way. Never been to a restaurant that has done this but I love it! Such a great idea.

I ordered the butter chicken and mixed grill. It was good, but no wow. The butter chicken had more sauce than chicken. The mixed grill was flavourful, but a bit dry. I prefer my own homemade butter chicken and I do not have a special recipe.

We used to be a loyal customer coming on a regular basis. Changing my review. Used to be 4 stars as seen in the picture. Not anymore, not as fresh as before. On three seperate occasions, had to put the 100$ meal in the garbage. It is very frustrating to waste food and waste money. Will not return until a change is made. Very disapointed.

Very bad experience, mismanagement of highest order. I reserved iftar buffet one day earlier for 3 adults and 2 kids. But when we reached there after driving 40mins in bad weather they completely denied having any reservation under my name. Had the audacity to imply that we were lying and came without any reservation. We are new to ottawa and wanted to try pak cuisine but now we would never returned after this behaviour. Being a Pakistani myself, I found the food up to the mark! The restaurant is run by a Lahori family and the food does have the taste and aroma of foods Lahore is so famous for! The reviews of the entry suggest that even the locals are also fond of its dishes and some of them are quite regulars. During the time we were there, we could see some arriving and going away with bagful of packed biryani and other stuff.

Food was bland and I dont wanna bash anyone but the taste is not at par even at home-made food standards. I am not even comparing it with the taste of food provided at restaurants. Really sorry but disappointed Ottawa needs more buffet options.

Did the Sunday buffet. Absolutely delicious food. Excellent service. For a buffet place to have paye (leg shanks) cooked to perfection is a first in my life. For those with a sweet tooth, they make their Gulab Jamun in-house and they are one of the best Ive ever had. It was a soul satisfying experience to dine at this restaurant.

We went for dinner at this restaurant. Onion bhaji, mixed grill and Naan were delicious. Lamb Madraji, Butter Chicken had no flavor at all. Besides what they are calling as Lachha Paratha is probably just regular home made paratha. We will be back at this restaurant for the BBQ items and will stay away from all sorts of curries.

Went there today as I saw good reviews on them. I was very disappointed. We left more than half our food. Waste of $77. Butter chicken was not good at all. Lamb dum biryani was never dum its all coloured dried rice with a piece of rubbery meat. We kept chewing. Never coming back to that resto gain. I dont normally write reviews but am forced to write this one as it was a true disaster. My homemade food is more tasty. Mixed grill was not cooked properly. Chicken was raw inside with blood. Anyway.

Love the food here. Its so flavorful. Tried the buffet and was able to try multiple dishes. They were all so good, and specifically the beef karahi, the meat pieces were cooked very well and were very soft. Huge fan of their briyani as well, its packed with flavors.

This is hands down the best South Asian restaurant in Ottawa (Capital region). I have been eating there for the past 3 years with 2 Pakistani friends, and we always find it authentic and consistently great. The buffet is very reasonably priced and is a fantastic value for money. The buffet also includes naans, which is great - buffets at places like East India Company (which is my second favorite Indian restaurant) do not include naans/roti and youd order them separately. The service is also courteous and considerate. I highly recommend this restaurant for an authentic experience. My favorites here: Non-veg: Biryani, Nehari, tandoori chicken. With an affordable price for an all you can eat buffet, and a wide variety of options that alternate every day, The food is always really good every time we go there no exceptions. The family that owns and operates the restaurant are the most hospitable, nicest, and respectful restaurant owners I have ever met. We eat there frequently and we will continue to do so. We went as a group of three to the Pak India restaurant over the weekend. They serve lunch and dinner buffet over the weekend. It wasnt too expensive. I would say $25.99 per person for the dinner buffet. We ate at 5 pm for their dinner buffet. The food was exceptional and very flavourful. I was not disappointed and would go again when in the area. It is a small restaurant inside, so the buffet isnt a huge one, but they rotate the buffet dishes often. The service was good as well. I enjoyed their mango Lassi drink, and it is a drink that you can order for dine-in or take out. Parking: It is located in a small plaza, and other businesses share the same parking lot. Wheelchair accessibility: The restaurant has a lot of tables around, but it is wheelchair accessible when entering the two sets of doors.

The flavours are all so well balanced and delicious! As spicy as you like, or not spicy at all. Top quality, simply excellent and authentic.

Pleasantly surprised! We didnt plan to go there but ended up dining at the place. The food was very nice and flavorful! Portions were huge! The kids enjoyed the Naan and butter chicken. The adults enjoyed the Jaamun (desert). No pics unfortunately as we were hungry and ended up hogging !

First time at this restaurant. Came with my family on recommendation. Wanted to order Masala Tea which is on their menu but was disappointed when waitress said they do not have any Tea bags. Weird that an Indian restaurant would have no tea bags. Food was good, large portions. Had a bit of a spill of the water on our table and asked for something to wipe up the water so it didn t drip off the table. Waitress brought us the tiniest paper napkins which were not helpful. Had to go to the bathroom and get the paper towel to wipe the water off the table. Wouldn t come to this place again. Only 1 waitress working taking orders for 3 tables and also working the front desk. Maybe buy a bulk amount of Tea bags and provide larger paper napkins? Or cloth napkins would be nice. Also their wheelchair accessibility buttons were not working on their side.

Bought 1 paya tonight and it totally ruined my evening. There was no shorba and it just felt like whatever was left over in the pot - some meat, grease and a bunch of tiny bones. It was like eating roti with mud. We always buy from you because the taste is good, but you should never compromise on quality. Super disappointing experience. I hope you won t serve this kind of food to anyone else.

Amazing food, great customer experience

The food was absolutely phenomenal. Delicious flavours, good presentation, tasted very fresh, and the food came out quickly. This place screams value! It cost around $20 a person and each of us had enough leftovers for lunch the next day due to the generous portions. I would definitely recommend them.

Order Channa Bhatura takeout last night on July 24th 2022. Chaana taste like soapy. Look like the utensile in which channa was prepared was not washed properly. I had order couple of time takeout before and portion were small but this time it was cooked unhealthy. I thought I found place for channa bhatura but Not worth it at all. I would never order here again. Its unhealthy.

Lamb curry wasn t fresh probably came out of fridge and warmed and portion is very small.

This is my first time trying this kind of Chana samosa. It took half an hour to make and all I got was samosa dipped in milk (or yogurt hard to tell the difference since it was so thin). Not sure how someone could make such a simple dish so wrong. One positive thing was that the service was good and polite.

Service is very poor. Two of us went to dine . It took them 15 minutes to take our order and 45 minutes to serve us. I wanted to order some food for take-out, but the waiter refused to take it as they had more bigger orders than mine.The message I got is, you will be treated based on the quantity you order. We just ordered from there and not good at all. Samosa was so burnt that all you could taste was that it was also only full of potatoes. Eggplant curry was so watered town and not good at all. Ended up throwing it all out. Will never go back not worth the money for sure.

However, the buffet had run out of many foods, including paya, chicken tikka, etc., but it was surprising that there was no arrangement to make and refill them. On the other hand, only the owners were available for service during this busy time. We all decided to order food of our choice, but the owner refused by saying that today we have only buffet, so we decided to satisfy our hunger by eating this leftover food. But the price we paid for this leftover food for four people was very expensive there ,which was $110. Conclusion. If you want to eat food of your choice, it is an expensive place and the service is very poor as well .

Food is delicious! Great option for halal Indian/Pakistani food. The restaurant itself could use some better cleaning.

Food was amazing - with an amazing variety at the buffet. Halwa puri was really nice, and piping hot. Chicken, Biryani, Haleem, all were really good!

Loved ordering from here on door dash but the buttered chicken is so inconsistent, as if every week its a new recipe. Some days its super spicy, some days super creamy, some days its red instead of orange. Wont be ordering from here anymore if its always different.

went in to check out the buffet on Sunday, as I shall plan to go another time. all trays were full and nice looking good selection. even Paya, wow.. looking forward..

Unfortunately, food was poorly done. Ordered Onion Pakora, Butter Chicken and Naan. This was takeout. The Onion Pakora was limp and soggy, a mess of onion, with little flavour. The sauces tried to make up for it, however did not do the job Naan was underdone in spots and too thick, overdone and crispy in other spots - no flavour. Butter Chicken - what can I say except it tasted like chicken in Campbells Tomato Soup - flaccid and flavourless. Dont recommend at this time.

Pak India is still my favourite restaurant to order delivery. The food is consistently delicious. I still have never been in the restaurant... maybe soon lol I have never eaten in this restaurant but order online. I absolutely love the food. I am never disappointed. The food is delicious, the portions generous and seasoned to your taste. I highly recommend Pak India.

Hands down the best place in Ottawa for an Indian/Pak buffet. The quality of the meat curries blows away even the top places in Montreal or Toronto. Come here on a Saturday for the buffet and you will not be disappointed. The only worry was for my tummy - I really need to lie down after coming here. I m coming back again and again!

Pathetic chicken biryani

Not sure who are putting reviews for them seems like completely fake or paid ones. I usually am not the person who write reviews however, they ve forced me to write one for them. Not sure about indian cuisine however, Pakistani food is not authentic at all. First I tried their biryani that tasted more like coloured rice then actual biryani. I let go that time by assuming that may be was by mistake. This time I ordered nihari and I swear it was like the worse every any curry dish I tried. First of all it was Microwaved cuz I could see the meat was burnt from upper sides. Second, there was no SHWARBA literally just leftover meat pieces. Last but not the least. Their menu items are very pricey. I honestly have no idea what kind of Pakistani food they are selling. I doubt even if the cook has any experience with Pakistani food. In totality, they are rip off. I d never ever give them another chance.

We won t recommend this restaurant to anyone again. Their place is not clean and they had cockroach all washrooms.

Food is fantastic, service is superb...the only issue was that we went in for some specific items and dishes which were showing up in the online menu and it turned out that they were not available.
