I ordered a chicken shawarma and was by far the first sandwitch I had, I usually don t like to give negative feed back but I was sick for 2 days after eating there I highly don t recommend them.

Don t even know where to begin, atmosphere was very bad, store was really dirty, the man making my shawarma kept making weird remarks, I couldn t wait to pay and leave. Store was about a 5 minute drive to my house and when I got there and tried eating the sandwitch it was all soggy and falling apart the only thing I recommend getting from there was the pepsi.

I recently tried The King Shawarma, and it was fantastic! The chicken shawarma was tender, well-seasoned, and perfectly wrapped in a warm pita with fresh veggies and a delicious garlic sauce. The portions were generous, and the staff were friendly and quick. It s definitely some of the best shawarma Ive had. Highly recommend!

A couple of weeks ago I dropped by this shawarma shop for the first time, i was hungry and rushed for time. I was greeted by two super friendly workers, had my food prepared and left. As I left I noticed that the small sandwich was huge, got into my truck and started to eat it, this was one of the best sandwiches I had in a long time. I returned on June 5, had the same beef shawarma, amazing again, I ended up back in Orleans on June 6, I thought let s try the chicken shawarma , omg, the chicken was great, fresh, delicious and plentiful. The staff is amazing here, both the beef and chicken is in my opinion are probably the best around. So to recap, huge sandwiches, great food and prices, and amazing staff!!!!!

After closing their Ogilvie location, they asked me to join them at their Orleans location, which is a long trek for me. Because I enjoyed their food, I thought Id try it on my way back from Orleans. She had her usual Fattoush salad with chicken but I decided to have a chicken plate. She ended up being sick for a day and it didnt agree with her. The food tastes different as well as the meat is much drier. So ask yourself this before visiting Orleans, if the business is doing so well (her words), why close it?

Their platter had the best-tasting meat Ive had in years, excellent potatoes, rice etc. One platter is plenty for a couple to share, we even took some home with us; so did another couple that was there when we were. The people are friendly and happy to serve you too.

From all of the shawarma places I have tried in Ottawa this has to be one of the best if not the best. 10/10 must recommend!

All around good shawarma, the guy working the cash up front has amazing customer service skills and really knows how to serve a customer correctly with a little added humour in as well. The chicken could be cooked a bit more and was a little dry but had good flavor, the garlic sauce seemed to be a bit chunky and the potatoes tasted good but had obviously been sitting there for a long time. Other than that it was very good. Will come back. The price is slightly under your standard price for a trio as well.

Slightly disappointed with the family deal shawarma platter; it contained less meat than expected, and there was an abundance of lettuce used as filler. Ive experienced more generous portions with the couples deal. Overall, the family deal didnt seem worth its price.

We have been going there for a couple of years now and have found the service and quality have gone downhill. I was just in this evening and noticed the prices have went up, fair, in todays climate that is to be expected. But the amount of topping and chicken they put it in the shawarma has went down. Ill pay more for the same amount. Im not paying more for less. I also asked for a chicken shawarma combo, but instead of the garlic potatoes I wanted to upgrade to a small chicken poutine. I told him Id pay the difference in price. Oh no, we cant do that......seriously? Take the price of the small garlic potatoe and subtract it from the price of a small chicken poutine and charge me the difference. Dont be lazy and difficult. Well have to find another shawarma place from now on.

Been a customer for years. Last order was awful. Potatoes were stale and sandwiches with almost no meat. When complained on next visit, female was very apologetic but male chef was arguing with female in Arabic and seem to dismiss my claim. They certainly lost this customer.

My Husband and I have been getting the Chicken Shawarma platter here for the better part of 12 years. We always order it no rice no potatoes just extra salad and it was great. The last year things have been going down hill but not enough to make us stop getting food from here not until tonight. We each had a chicken shawarma platter. My husbands was well dressed the chicken he got was very nice looking. Mine not so great my chicken looked more shredded rather then sliced, I didnt get any hummus and what little garlic I got was watery. The salad itself was terrible the tomatoes were border line bad ( I didnt eat any) and what ever dressing was on it was completely watery with no flavor. We only got one pita bread between the two of us. We will never get food from here ever again unless they bring the original guys back.

Yeah not very good. I think the worst Shawarma in Orleans. Twice I ate here and it stinks. Most any other place in Orleans has better Shawarma. Dont ruin a good sandwich experience coming here. Overly sweet curry, sweet sauce too sweet, lack of meat in sandwich. Strange sliver sized rice was gross. It was just cheapy wrapped in paper not tinfoil to keep it warm. Go elsewhere thank me later.

They gave me old rice (stinks) and fries twice. You are paying $10 and get refried fries, assuming customers will not figure out, thats low. My son loves fries and he was struggling to eat them. I would highly recommend to go to Shawarma Palace. You will definitely get fresh food there.

My favourite shawarma place ever! Ive had their beef, chicken, falafel and Donair meat! its all delicious! their sauce selection is good and delicious as well! The garlic sauce is god tier! Their rice, and potatoes are delicious but my favourite is the fattoush salad! the best Ive ever had! Everyone i share this place with always loves it and makes it their shawarma place. The whole menu is absolutely exquisite!

From someone who is from Toronto, where i have been to almost all Shawarma places, I can confirm that this is way better than any places i have been to. This guy knows quantity! They dont do cost cutting while giving out food. Very friendly service. Food is testy as well. I wish shawarma places in Toronto can understand this. This is how it should be. Thank you for delicious food. EDIT: somehow the review wasnt showing up ever since i posted a month ago. Did a small edit and now its visible. Kid-friendliness: Staff was actually making conversation with kids!!! Wheelchair accessibility: Its in the plaza where parking available. I dont think the store has push button for door but i am sure that the staff will help to anyone who needs help.

I order the bogo but I didnt get the second free item. I called the restaurant and the man who answered the call, Gheese, was extremely rude and said too bad. He wouldnt let me talk to the manager and wouldnt talk to the manager himself. Then when I tried to ask him how this can be fixed he hung up on me. The portion of the food I did get was disgusting and definitely not fresh. The potatoes were cold, the falafel was cold and very dry, and the garlic sauce was chunky. Please avoid.

Their sandwich is okay, not the best but not bad either. But what really surprised me is seeing the two workers not wearing masks and singing while preparing my sandwiches.

Just had one of the best times at The King! I cant remember the name of who made my sandwich but he is a legand! I was at the location in orleans. Keeps you smiling and on your feet the whole time your there and you are guaranteed to leave with good food and a smile on your face. He even gave me a little extra taste of some meat with his special sauce on there and let me tell you. Its special!! You can not go wrong here

Worst experience ever smh! So I ordered the bogo donair plate. The meat is hard and dry! Drenched in sweet sauce that I did not ask for nor does it show in the picture they advertised! And the fattoush salad is old and taste like blue mold!!! cold potatoes and tasteless! I ended up having to cook dinner, this was not edible!

Large and generous servings of food, especially the meats. They definitely dont hold back or skimp. Lots of family trays and platter options as well. They uniquely offer 2 styles of rice compared to other shawarma places. However the food overall didnt seem as flavourful to me. Good for a very hungry person.

The food was soggy and the chicken was discusting. The wrap was completely wet and grosse. The salad smelled moldy. Being pregnant I like almost all foods and this was by far the most disappointing meal Ive had in forever. Sad I wasted my money here for a meal I wouldnt have to cook myself for the family.

I ate two meat and vegetable platters as part of the ubereats two for one special. Both were similarly disgusting. The rice and meat taste fine, but the vegetables and other foods are really terrible. The bread mixed in with the shawarma also tastes terrible. The pita bread was fine though, and Im glad it wasnt mixed in with the food. I feel close to throwing up.

Good falafel not dry

I ordered two special plates for New Years Eve, early in the afternoon. When I went to pick it up at the requested time it was not ready because their pre-order system was not working. I had to wait 20 minutes for it to be cooked and prepared. They were very apologetic, and included a package of Baklava. It was worth the wait. There was plenty of food, enough for two days. Thanks to all at King Shawarma!

Disappointed, Ive been going there for years and theyve changed administration around a year ago. Now prices went way up, the famous garlic sauce isnt the same and they microwave stuff in front of you all the time...

First time here. Ordered two chicken plates via Uber Eats. The delivery was quick and the food is decent. The flavour of the garlic sauce is a bit light. Would order again.

Came here last night. The staff was very friendly, gave us free magic sauce and free baklavas. The shawarma family platter (around 45$ with tax) was delicious and was plenty of food!

Tried to get a chicken and meat salad wanted the meat separated as its disgusting to put salad on meat straight as it will make the meat cold and the veggies sogie they where like no we cant. They said theyll charge me for both separate. Its too easy to put the meat in a 2 cent plastic container and give the salad separate I used order from them all the time on uber never again.

I dont want to give a negative review because the food is very good but I gave it a four stars instead of five stars because of the lack of consistency. I am used to getting a very fair portion for the price I would pay for something like a large chicken salad, but I dont like it when I order a salad and the size and amount of chicken is less than Im used to getting. I think no matter who who serves me the portions should be the same.

This is our go-to shawarma place. We love their potatoes .. with the yummy garlic sauce. Their hummus is delish. But our favourite thing is their fattoush salad. They put mint in it which makes extra special! So so yummy

Im leaving this review like hot bread out of the oven. 40 min of my life wasted waiting for 2 shawarmas and 1 plater, no doubt one of the worst services I ve ever encounter so far. No explanation why. The front man, after I asked why such a long waiting time, he just said - I don t know man - like ashamed of the problem, like it has happened before and he doesn t know why they make people wait so much. Not the first time they make wait, but guarantee it will be the last as I ll will never be going again. To be honest, I use this place as a backup when shawarma palace is full, big mistake, it always disappoints. Better to wait at the palace. Ps: both shawarma with no veggies also just the meat and the sauces. I m so mad! 50$ with 15% tip btw

Hands down THE BEST shawarma place in ottawa!! Love love love their shawarmas! Do NOT change your recipes or sauces please! My entire family comes here for their shawarmas! The staff are a little creepy with women but other than that, the food is magnificent! My only recommendation to them is maybe to stop speaking in another language in front of customers. I overheard a young girl behind me say they were talking about her as she understood the language they were speaking. Not cool. One star removed for that.

When this place first opened it was wonderful. There garlic is awesome but honestly no longer a favorite. Main reason have modified therefamous fatoush salade , dressing included (its now made with concentrated lemon juice ) and tastes awful not to mention they put WAY too much dressing so the salad is soggy even after mentioning little dressing. Please go back to how it was!

My lord and savior

Last time I had been there, it was at the beginning on the pandemic and the person behind the counter wore the same vinyl gloves to handle cash money and make the food. I had asked him to change gloves and he seemed insulted by my request. I haven t gone back since... I don t trust them.
