Took too long to serve me so I left

Ordered breakfast, paid $60 for two meals and only received one . The bill alone would raise a red flag $60 for 1 meal? Or perhaps the two beverages would have cause to question why only 1 meal was being packed up. Very disappointed we waited 45 minutes for breakfast and now have 1 of 2 twelve year old boys with no meal, and have to order something else

Very delicious breakfast

I ordered the Wildberry French Toast on Uber, and my girlfriend ordered the Strawberry and Chocolate French Toast. Ive never written a review before, but I felt compelled to with the experience I had. My girlfriend cited no major issues with her meal, which I was happy with. With mine, the french toast itself was quite dry, and you could still taste the eggs, which was pretty off-putting, but not so much that you couldnt eat it. The worst of it was that it was riddled with onion and what I believed to be pieces of potato that I bit into. The onions mixed with the wildberry sauce and the maple syrup I coated over the french toast (before I realized anything was wrong with it), and it was entirely inedible. This was by far the most offensive and foul dish Ive ever had in my life from a restaurant. Im writing this in hopes that this kind of cross contamination can be avoided in the future.

So I m a Benny Lover. This is no secret And I FOUND HEAVEN when I was served breakfast here 2 Sunday s ago! We were served by Debbie. She was awesome. Very down to earth and easy to talk to. Her service was great, and it was BUSY. Like 30 mins to get in, and then 20 for your breakfast busy. BUT WHEN IT ARRIVED The breakfast GODS opened their gates. Hahaha! But honestly, it did NOT disappoint! The variety/ options alone were mouthwatering. And seeing all the different breakfasts pass by was entertaining. There are MANY dishes I d like to try! Oh the smoothies are good too! I ll be back. For ALL THE BENNYS. Great job Eggspress Orleans! You ve got my money when it comes to breakfast outings!!

We were in the area, took a quick look at the menu online, and decided to stop in. What caught our eye was the Apple Menu which has 5 items at $20 each, and uses fresh apples from Quebec in each dish. We ordered the Panko French Toast, and Apple and Cheddar combo. We also ordered the Salmon Benny, which was very tasty. The hollandaise was thicker than expected, but still great. The fruit served with each dish was fresh and tasty. Service was quick, and coffee was in front of us before we could blink. As expected, its typical diner coffee. The food, on the other hand was REALLY GOOD. Potatoes were nicely seasoned. Apples were cooked nicely, flavorfull, and not too sweet. Ambiance was comfy - we love booths - and the bathrooms were clean.

The worst experience, the server was in a rush all the time and 2 people of my group found hair in their food, we asked for another tea and they brought it till almost the end. Doesn t matter if it s busy a server needs to pay more attention to their customers. And at the end you can see them mad. Never again

Corn syrup instead of maple syrup. So I have to assume all ingredients are low quality. All in all, extremely overpriced. Service was excellent.

I was in today for breakfast and had the pleasure of sitting in Nancys section. Although they were overwhelmingly busy, she still served me with a smile and with not much wait. Our coffees were piping hot and our food was even hotter! Thanks for amazing service and an amazing breakfast meal as well! Glad to have such a spot in Orleans.

It s good. But they don t cater to Muslims or anyone who wouldn t eat pork options. They have turkey bacon on the menu but it s not a direct substitution. They charge extra to switch it. I can t understand why they wouldn t want to cater to Muslims. Not a very progressive management style.

Good was good quality, service was fast, and drinks and food came out quickly after ordering. Place isnt trying to be bougie but has some high quality options.

We have enjoyed breakfast at this location for the past 3-4 years, but today was not the usual. Firstly the server was unpleasant (not just with us, her attitude with tables around us was equally unacceptable). I always go off the menu slightly as they had changed their menu a couple years ago, removing my favorite dish, but today that was not going to happen without a surcharge...thats a first. The food was very good as per usual. We normally switch between Coras and Eggspress but our business will no longer be at Eggspress...unfortunate.

Im at the place right now!!! Ive been about 6 times now and its very good, a very wide variety of menu options for breakfast better than a trip to Greece! Then at night it turns into a Greek Taverna! Boom you just had a holiday! Prices are very reasonable for basic breakfast and good prices for extras! Also good Greek spirits from the Island of Kreta and Greece. Vegetarian options: Lots of options! Dietary restrictions: Looks very accommodating Parking: 100 plus spots Kid-friendliness: Lots of space for kids Wheelchair accessibility: Easy entry!

Fair pricing, delicious food, and fast friendly service

I usually go to Kosy Nest but it was crowded so I gave Eggspress a try for the first time for breakfast. I had been there for dinner so I thought it must be good for breakfast. I was disappointed. I order an ordinary eggs Bennie which is my go to but was sadly unimpressed by the meal. The english muffin was barely toasted the ham was burnt and rubbery and the two eggs were watery and bland. The english muffin as it was not toasted you could not cut but had to rip it and the watery eggs made this worse. I did not have time to send it back as I had already waited to get served. It was eatable but just barely. The home fries were good but there claim about the fruit was three strawberries and a few pieces of cut melon. I dont think I will go back and will go to Kosy Nest or Coras next time.

Too too slow for the online deliveries. As a Uber driver, you may spent 15-20 minutes waiting for a simple order. This restaurant is poorly managing the online orders. For drivers, its a lost of time and of course money. For the customer, its a long time waiting their orders. For this reason, I will never order online or even walk in

Went for breakfast on Sunday around 11 am. Food was cold. Service was average and the atmosphere was noisy. Cheap prices but you get what you pay for. Parking: Parking is limited. Be prepared to walk if you show up at rush hour.

5/5 Great service, delicious food, generous portions, staff are super nice, family friendly and nice atmosphere, I definitely recommend:) We ordered the Demi Lune and the Vegeterian poutine which comes with eggs too and hollondaise sauce, they were both super tasty! Loved the crispy flavourful potatoes, coffee is really good too, and everything was fresh. High chairs available, they have a kids menu and crayons for the kids to draw while we look at the menu, plenty of parking, and again excellent service from all the staff from the moment we entered. 10/10 !

I didnt like waiting in line and staff letting 3 couples behind us in/gave a table. Signs at door says to wait someone will come see us. But they completely ignored my BF and I. We managed to find a girl to ask if we are supposed to make a reservation?? She told us we are supposed to write our name on a paper?? I thought that was their job?? I was so confused. First of all, they should make a bilingual sign, 2nd of all, an indication of to write our name on the list instead of waiting for a staff? It was a bit frustrating the lack of their organization. The meal was great (if I remember, I had the Eggpresion) especially anything with potatoes and proteine is good. But I find the crêpes (more like pancakes) are thick and tastes bland. If you want a real sweet crêpe, I strongly recommand to go outside of Ottawa. Somehow, they all taste bland even with syrup. Server was friendly and pleasant.

Food was not good at all. The milkshakes that me and my sister ordered were just milk. The glasses of water were dirty and so were our utensils. Not pleased. Waited 10-15 for the bill. Our sever, Nancy was not enthusiastic at all,just seemed like she didn t want to be there. 10/10 do not recommend

I had better eggspectation. Kept waiting to be seated despite only a few people already there. Gave up after 15 (!) minutes, went to Gabriels instead, was seated and served within minutes.

Loved coming to this place up until my experience today. The food is certainly not something to write home about, but it was close to home, open early and quick. Meal was as expected. However, although we arrived before many people were there, our table was approached by someone who seemed to be the owner. He smiled and kindly told us to leave because there was a line at the door. There were other tables that had been there longer than we had with older patrons who had not been approached in the same way. I assume my friend and I were approached because we were young women. This was a place I would come to with friends and family every other week, however, because of this rude interaction with the owner, I will be taking my business elsewhere. If you dont want to be rushed from your table, I suggest you find somewhere else to go as well.

Very very very bad services. Waiter didn t even come check up on us if we needed anything , she dropped the food and left and didn t even bother to come back. Didn t receive even refill for our coffee when we EVEN REQUESTED TO. Had to ask from multiple waiters that walked past us couple times and still nothing no response. The lady was rude and didn t apologize or give us the bill at the end. I had to ask from the little girl even tho she wasn t allowed to but she felt bad. IM NEVER COMING BACK AGAIN. Rude stafff and unorganized.

Came for breakfast, and tried their meal with eggs, bacon, toast home fries, with half a waffle and fruit. The bottomless coffee was decent, but the cup is quite small and the refills werent that frequent. The eggs were cooked just as I asked, the fruit with the waffle was quite a good variety, not heavy on the melon is as often the case. The waffle itself was pretty good as well. The toast however, was buttered cold and came out after so none of the butter melted, which wasnt very enjoyable. The bacon was about average. The homefries though, were the star of the show, hands down. Nice and crispy, had some fried onions in it, and the seasoning on them was perfect. Some of the best homefries Ive had in recent memory.

The food is okay but I cannot say the same for hygiene. As the ice melted down in my water glass a gooey saliva thing started float in my glass. I left the place with a feeling of nausea. Moreover, our waitress was so rude from the beginning. That was our first time there and definitely the last.

Love bacon and like it crisp, but not burnt. Always perfect at Eggspress Orleans. So busy on Saturday morning. People were lined up so, next time, will go during the week. Over easy eggs were perfect and hash browns are always so good. Coffee always good. Friendly server (Paula), as was the young lady who was busy handing out cutlery and napkins. I was surprised to see someone getting a club sandwich in this breakfast/brunch place. It looked good. Nice clean restaurant with lots of free parking. Parking: Parking is right at the door and around the side. If really busy, one can always grab a parking spot in the lot in front of Shoppers Drugs in the same plaza.

The staff is great but there isnt enough of them for the capacity.

Eggspress is a fantastic place to have your breakfast. The meals are well served and tasty. One can feel the atmosphere and sense the well-being of enjoying a great meal .

Very disappointed today. Thought I had found a real good place for brekkie, but todays eggs had eggshells in them, the potatoes were cooked in a fryer that left them tasting like stenchy fish, and I was charged full price afterwards. Yikes

Actually, we were there for dinner so it was Parea Greek restaurant. The 2 share the location at different times of the day. At dinner its Parea an excellent Greek fare. Marvelous food, great, friendly and courteous staff. Reasonable prices

Place was very packed and some of the seating is very close to other tables. Other than that, the staff was friendly and the food was some of the best Ive had for breakfast in Ottawa. Vegetarian options: Many of the options on the menu have no meat at all.

Here s a little secret for everyone ! This is a breakfast restaurant during the day and most recently a Greek restaurant at night called Paréa. Welcome to Orleans Paréa! I heard about this place online - and due to the fact that Paréa doesn t have its own google page, I am resorted to put my review in this page. I must say the food was fantastic ! The portions are also quite big. We ordered the chicken gyro plate (one being Paréa sized - with two sandwiches); one with rice and one with potatoes. I can t speak on the potatoes but the rice was very tasty - and the potatoes got a good review too. The salad was packed on its own and the dressing was delicious ! The spanakopita was huge - very fresh! For those who are on this page for a breakfast review - check it out in the evening if you re in the mood for a good Greek meal. You won t be disappointed !

Think breakfast. Eggs, bacon, ham, sausage home fries, fresh fruit, crepes, waffles, etc. Its all here. Think of the idea of a breakfast dinner, the way you imagine it in your mind. Thats what youre getting here. Perfectly cooked eggs, flavorful potatoes, even the toast is the epitome of perfect toast. You get exactly what you imagine when reading the descriptions. No burnt runty bacon or half cooked eggs here. Perfection.

Really enjoyed going to this restaurant. Good service. Loved the potatoes, eggs, yum yum. Only disappointment was when they washed the floor on the other side of restaurant. Detergent was strong enough that you could taste it. Well try it again.

Despite our bad experience last time, we decided to give this place another shot. Well, we could have done without. We placed an order at 10:10am. Order was simple, 2 eggs sunny side up with a side of sausages, and 2 eggs over done with 2 sides of French Toast. Easy right? The waitress on the phone confirmed our order and said it would be ready for pick up in 20 minutes. Upon pickup, hubby checked the containers to make sure everything was there, and to our suprise, we had received the completely wrong order (yet again!)He went back in, and the waitress did not apologize, she went to the kitchen to find out what happened. She then told my husband that next time when we order we should specify our order even though she had confirmed it on the phone (essentially blaming this on us). She appeared to be a 20 year old girl. Not sure why they thought she should be managing orders because clearly its not her strong suit. Anyway, 20 minutes later she came out with the same order but had added the missing sides. Half was cold. Bacon was raw, uncooked. Eggs were floppy and tossed to the side. It was disgusting. We ate a bit and tossed the rest. Customer service is terrible. Wont be back.

Went there for the first time for my Grandson Birthday breakfast. When the food was brought out to us both my Daughter and myself found the cold not hot. It was returned and brought a little hoter then it had been. It was okay.

I eggspected a lot better breakfast for the price. The eggs Benedict had no flavour, the salmon was past its prime and looked scary. Hollandaise sauce was blah with no zip. English muffin was not toasted. The home fries were just ok as was the fruit. The service was ok but no thank you after giving a 15% tip? My stomach felt a bit off for an hour afterwards. If the salmon looks bad just recommend me something else! *Update Nice reply, your customer relation skills match your food. I provided a close up so you can see the salmon and fruit are obviously not fresh

This is my absolute favorite breakfast place. They have the best fried potatoes in Ottawa. Their eggs Benedict are perfectly cooked and so tasty. They come with the perfect sized bowl of fruit. The waitresses are all very welcoming, pleasant and top notch service providers.

Eggs pretty normal as is the toast. Nice to have real, thick bacon as opposed to the cheaper and thinner strands at other establishments. The fruits is always nice and the service very friendly!

Update.. it s now April 16 No response to repeated calls. the owner Nick responded to my update and asked me to call we have called three times and left two messages.. no return call now the voice mail says the box is full . Obviously Nick. Is NOT interested in discussing the serious issues at his restaurant. Friday March 18 2022 Breakfast with a biz pal, the coffee was provided a couple of times. Once the food finally arrived, we did not see the waitress again for ages. Both plates were stone cold. The hashbrowns were cold and tasteless and the eggs drowning in grease. I rye toast was buttered, barely and I was told there was no marmalade. Only options jam or peanut butter... when we tried to ask for the bill my companion mentioned the coldness of the breakfast and her soggy English muffin and was immediately accused of complaining on her previous trip. (she did not) see last years review below. After the belligerence with my companion the waitress left without giving my time to tell her about my breakfast and show her the grease etc., She was so annoyed with the initial complaint.. she took forever to bring the check and gave my companion a 35% discount and then stood at my shoulder watching me intently as I tried to privately enter my pin for my debit card... She told me if I was unhappy not to tip her... I simply wanted some privacy.. NOT sure what changed as this whole experience was bad from food to exiting. There are many breakfast restaurants in Orleans and we will be frequenting those instead. Summer 2021 ( 4 stars) NO MORE see above Lovely wait staff great Eggs Benny with avocado and And a fabulous fruit bowl came as part of brekkie... only blip-hashbrowns were not crisp and after our meal when I told the server, she told me I could ask for well done next time.- Woo Hoo Helpful too! I ordered through uber and the restaurant put my crepe with all the sauce on top of my breakfast. My eggs and potatoes are so gross. I called the restaurant and they said to contact uber but this is a restaurant problem. Nothing to do with the uber driver. Note to self never order delivery again..

Place has decent food, but subpar service. On our second visit we had our waitress come to our table after 10min of browsing the menu, to ask us about drinks. I told her we were ready to order our food as well and she was visibly annoyed for some reason that people wanted to eat at a restaurant. Forgot half our meal and continued to serve multiple other meals of people who came after us while we waited with half a meal getting cold in front of our faces. Brought the rest 5 min later then never came to our table again except to give us the bill, even though she happily checked on multiple adjacent tables without even looking at us. I could tell she didnt like us so I accepted that I would only have a small cup of water to make it through the entire meal. Felt standoffish when she brought the bill too. Lemme tell ya that tip was tiny. Wont be going back. Too bad. After reading through some other reviews, seems like a common theme. EDIT TO RESPONSE : No. Just wont come back. DOUBLE EDIT : looks like the owner retracted his response TRIPLE EDIT: went back again because fiance begged me. Literally the most incompetent staff Ive ever seen. Last time Ill say Im not going back.

The food quality and support staff was pleasant and not a downside of the restaurant at all. However, the server was not kind and denied help from their support staff in a busy section. This resulted in us waiting over 30 minutes for a bill, while surrounding tables were not forgotten. After asking multiple staff members for help, we finally had to flag support staff down at the front of the restaurant. Being busy is understandable, but ignoring your table for half an hour while visibly trying to ask for help is unfortunate.

Great menu full of choices to please any customer. Service was friendly and we received our food quickly. Very happy with this addition to Orléans.

My food was cold I asked for a new plate they brought one with hot potatoes but the eggs were cold. I didn t bother to ask again as I was starving. Tried to ask for some jam and the server just turned away and ignored us had to flag her down to get some but my breakfast was basically finished by this point just wanted to get out. Won t be going back unfortunately.

Very good food

Just came here and from the moment we walked in it was chaotic. We came around lunch time and it was insanely busy. Asked for a booth and the waitress said she needed to clean it off. In the midst of the chaos another waitress grabbed the people behind and almost gave it to them. When we sat down the table still had maple syrup on it...the waitress was slow and people who came in after us were leaving before. My meal was incorrect and e paid 100$ for a mediocre meal. Needless to say we will not be returning.

The waitress was very attentive, food is great, not overly expensive, and has a homey vibe.

Ambiance was fine. Very clean however we were sat at a (very) small two person booth. Not much room for myself and definitely not enough room for my boyfriend with a broader shoulder width. Staff and service was good. Food was definitely not the best for a breakfast place. Everything was room temperature by the time it got to our table. I had the eggs Benedict, hollandaise was watered down and English muffin wasn t toasted. The fresh fruit was not bad. My boyfriend had the construction everything was cold and the waffle was both dry and soggy. The home fries for both of our breakfasts were definitely a miss (pasty potatoes). Was surprised we weren t as impressed as the prices would lead you to believe. 8$ mimosas was not worth it. If you do go I would suggest sticking to your basic bacon and eggs type of breakfast options.

We were very enthusiastic to try this breakfast restaurant today. As much as we wanted to like it, we didnt. Weve ordered an omelette and a fruit crepe. The omelette was bad, the worse I have eaten: dry / overcooked, pretty much tasteless and something tasted very off, either the ham of the sausage. To top it off it was served cold. The fruit crepe was ok just ok. Their idea is to stuff some fruit in a crepe and call it a day. A little sauce would have been nice. Paying $17 for a crepe or omelette is ok but you expect something worthy of paying that much and this was just very ordinary. Its sad to say but we make much better omelettes and crepes at home. They must take pride in every dish they serve.Their coffee and toasts are also very ordinary. Overall, our $50 breakfast was a big disappointment. Unsure if the problems are with the franchisor or franchisee but this place needs some fixing. Hope they get their act together because this place has amazing potential, a great location and nice modern decor. I wish them much success if they can master their success fundamentals. This is a breakfast place and they must serve amazing breakfasts, their long term success depends on it. Ill visit again in the future and will update my review if things improve.

Its just the worst breakfast place ever. Maybe coming from Montreal we are spoiled with superior culinary offerings. The people that gave this place 5 stars, lack educated tastebuds. How do you mess up eggs?

The freshest breakfast around! Everything was freshly made. The hollandaise sauce was mouthwatering! The homefries were freshly cut potatoes and perfectly seasoned. Portions were generous and reasonably priced. Staff was very friendly and the restaurant is very clean.

Staff are friendly & efficient. Plate portions are generous, you wont leave hungry. Menu has a great variety of choices. Once youve eaten here, youll want to return to experience something different.

Best breakfast place ever

The strawberry crepes were succulent! The coulis, strawberries and creme fraiche delicately surrounding the crepes added the sweetness.

We have been here half a dozen times since it opened. Honestly would be more, but they are understandably very busy when we go. I have never been disappointed with the food or the service. My only complaint would be that the place is too small

Loved our meal. They served us even though we came in pretty close to closing time. Food was great, so many berries in my parfait!

I ordered the king eggs Benedict. I asked for no onions because I ve got an intolerance and there was onions I asked for Swiss and they gave me cheddar and their honeydew melon still had rind in a few spots would not recommend.

Went on Saturday and very busy and noisy. But the food was great and worth the wait.

When it first opened they had nice food. Now, they got greedy, cheap with the quality of the materials and sloppy on how to cook it. If you are going to sell me the Kraft cheddar cheese that I can buy from the store..then there is no need for me to buy your overpriced hit or miss food. I surely do not recommend them!

Not worth the wait. Eggs were okay, however the English muffin didn t come toasted and the home fries were soggy. Our server wasn t attentive and somehow forgot to bring the card machine to our table after printing the bill even though we had requested it. Won t be coming back as there are many other better places in Ottawa to get brunch.

Food is decent and the same menu as other breakfast restaurants. Nothing special. Server was in a hurry to remove our plates.

My server Debbie was patient, I wasn t rushed into ordering. My Big 10 omelette was delicious, warm and exactly what I ordered ( no home fries and toast). I highly recommend this restaurant.
