First time at this location and we enjoyed dinner on the patio. The queso and chips were really good. Also had a mix chicken and steak fajitas which were very good. Service and atmosphere were great.

Unfortunately I was very disappointed in the nachos. It was a plate of one layer of nachos and the middle was soggy because of a white sauce drizzled all over.

Very charming restaurant with good staff. We always come between 7pm and 8pm during the week and we are served very quickly. Their chips and salsa which are brought out within 5 minutes of us being seated are addictive and delicious. As for the meal, we always have a simple fajitas with extra chicken vegetables. 1 coke + 1 glass of wine. And it only cost us $60. Were full and taking some home! Our preferred waiter with great experience PETER is so kind and efficient that it is always a great pleasure to go to the restaurant. We highly recommend!

We went to this restaurant for launch on a Saturday. There was a bad smell inside the restaurant. The food was not too bad. The service was poor and slow. Would not recommend this place.

The food was alright, but the service was very slow. It might have just been the day we visited, but theres definitely room for improvement. The atmosphere is very nice, though the patio is quite small, and the tables are a bit too close together.

Excellent restaurant. I was expecting a generic chain, maybe a bit above average cause thats their pitch. But I was pleasantly surprised. The selection was definitely above average tex mex. They had a good selection of drinks. The waitress was attentive but didnt hover. Overall we had a very good experience and Ill definitely be back.

I got the carne asada quesadilla with fries as a take out order and it was SO DELICIOUS! You get to pick how you want your steak cooked so I picked medium and it was AMAZING, Juicy and delicious and the sauce they put on the quesadilla was insanely good as well. I would highly recommend that dish to anyone.

Unfortunately, my memory of this ones great Mexican theme restaurant has been tarnished by the ill-fated and unkept Mexicali Rosas at this location. The food was sub-par. The restaurant was filthy and while the server was nice enough, it took an unusually long time to get started. Try again in a couple of years.

Delicious food and fun atmosphere

Whoever drew the art work on the walls is an amazing artist.

Went for dinner and hadn t in a few years. Now I know why. I shared The Mexican Flag. This was the worst meal I think I ve ever had. The beans were sweet and had a weird flavour. The burrito was filled with chicken and had a spicy burnt taste. We both had a couple of bites and were done. The taste was absolutely horrible and all night we were both sick to our stomachs. I m not sure what the heck what presented to us, but as a content creator I have never sat down in a restaurant with three people there during dinner hours, put way back in a corner by the window where it was cold, waited 30 minutes for the meal and then took bites that made me actually enjoy my water more than the meal. I will never return and I honestly do not know how this place is still open. There is nothing authentic in Mexican cuisine served at this place. Adios!

We had a great afternoon visit for margaritas and their Mexican layered dip. Chloe was our service and was an absolute gem that made the experience memorable and outstanding. Highly recommend this authentic and and delicious Mexican experience!

Saturday night and they did not have my drink. It was on menu, and LCBO was open all day. Poor management. Ordered my food, guess what? They were all out of it as well.

Was pleasantly surprise with the quality of the food. The service was also excellent thanks very much to Brenda. We will be back for more.

Waitress took forever and didn t check on table. Brought appetizer chips with meal. Claimed the coffee was fresh it wasn t. Pretended to turn down loud music had to be asked twice. Almost no other patrons so really no excuse for such poor service. Will not be returning or recommending.

Food was amazing and so was the service this past Friday evening! Highly recommend to anyone whom enjoys Mexican Food! Our server was also very polite and quick! My son whom is Art by Jordan Childs may even possibly do an art mural there as well. Thank you and will definitely be going back! Wheelchair accessibility: Did not take notice at the time but looking back this restaurant and area would be very wheelchair accessible with plenty of room.

I will say everything was nice exept we took the fajitas beef and chicken for 2 ...I dont know why they put so much red cabbages and so little guacamole and sour cream these 2 items r the most needed and dont suggest the beef the beef was stringny hard with grizzles we mention to waitress she answered UT depends on who is cooking but everything was good other than this the coffees brandy and kolua the appetizer with chips and dip were so good!

Fajitas were okay, nothing to rave about. Hits the spot but I wouldnt go out of my way to get them.

It was okay. Nothing special. We went there for the Christmas work party and they were slow to get the apps out. Seemed like they were overwhelmed. I waited quite a while for my drink both times I ordered. The appetizers were typical appetizers. You get at Any restaurant really.

Ordered dinner for 2 fajitas and recieved no chicken only a bunch of grilled onions and pepers then opened the rest of it only to find the portions are completely irrationally small for apparently 6 fajitas. The flavor was pretty disappointing and the cost was ridiculously expensive. Definitely wont be dining here because the service was just as bad as the food.

Your hostess is extremely miserable. I gave 2 stars because our waitress was absolutely adorable and made up for the rude, awkward welcoming we received upon entering and being seated. Possibly if she (hostess) spent less time on her phone, and actively engaging in her job duties, customers would not feel as though they are a nuisance upon arrival. Very off-putting to say the least!

I think this is a hidden gem, theres always lots of room, and its not so loud with music or tvs that you cant talk. The classic Mexicali food is reasonable price and delicious. Free chips and salsa to start is tasty and fresh. The large margaritas are awesome; and the virgin Marg is super reasonable at $6. There is a patio in the summer and occasionally live music. Clyde burrito is spicy and lots of food. Chimi is always good. Taco salad is underwhelming.

Amazing food, great portions too. An entree and a main course and i was stuffed. Will definatly come back next time im in town.

This Tex-Mex style restaurant offers good value for money. The food is good and the portions are very generous. My wife and I especially appreciated the courtesy and speed of the employees.

The professionalism is despicable. One of your chefs behaved extremely inappropriately by calling one of my friends a slur while on their break. This is absolutely unacceptable.

I came here tonight looking for their ghost kitchen Mac d Out but ordered from the Mexi s menu instead. It was phenomenal. A+ restaurant from the food, drinks, and atmosphere. Our server, Michele, was wonderful. Special shout outs from our order were the Flautas and White Sangria. The Flautas were cooked to perfection with the red sauce as great matching compliment. The White Sangria was exactly what I was craving. So so good!

Multiple orders over the last month have had issues including cold food, missing items, over charges and ridiculous wait times. This is a poorly managed location and not the worth the time or the gamble on the quality of the food.

Great Enchiladas-Mexican Flag-Great Taste. Big Portions. The Drinks are HUGE-got a Mango Daiquiri-Very refreshing! This place gives you complimentary Nacho Chips with Salsa to start. We did try their Chips and Queso- App. to which I do not recommend. The cheese looked like a clumpy creamy soup. Service was great as well. Our waitress and the staff were very attentive. I visited with my family on Thursday March 16 2023 (7.30 pmish).

When they opened again, I was so happy but we didnt end up coming here between the long wait times and the covid pandemic. We ended up going recently. We had drinks, ordered food, ate and paid all within 30 min. Food came so quick. Service was friendly, fast and efficient. I used to love their chimichanga. But this time the portion have shrunk and I didnt like the taste as much. The chips are the best I ever had though.

Hopefully this was a fluke. There was a problem with the ordering system and we had been seated about 1.5 hrs before the food came. It came in waves and by the time the last person got their food the first people were already done eating.

Not busy at all which is good and bad. Service was good the waitress was very kind and patience for our table of 7. Giving an average score because the lord was just ok. Not much seasoning and my churro desert was over fried so just crunchy and dry. Wouldnt really recommend for dinner but drinks are decent!

Came in was seated at a table fairly quick. But took forever to get someone at our table. We ordered nachos, I guess we can call it that if you like a very flat soggy pile of half melted cheese slapped with tons of salsa . Had a wonderful experience for our first time at this restaurant. The food was excellent and the portions were huge! Our waiter Peter was very attentive and made our visit comfortable. We felt very cared for. They even let us take home some of the yummy jalapeño sauce with our left overs. We will definitely be coming back!! Thank you Peter

The waitress forgot the chips and salsa, ketchup, and my husbands drink order. Wait times were incredibly long even though there was only 2 other tables there. Waitress never checked on us or cleared our table between courses. She kept apologizing for her disappearing act . Food was decent so it s unfortunate the service was so awful.

Great location and good atmosphere. We hosted a large retirement party for 45 people this evening and the two waitresses assigned to us couldn t keep up and there was no manager on site to help! People waited over an hour for drinks and almost two hours for food then another hour+ waiting for their bills so they could pay and leave!! Very disappointing execution of a planned event booked with over a month s notice. New/inexperienced staff that had no idea how to process payments and there was only one debit machine available for the entire restaurant so no one else could pay their bills either. Truly shocked by our experience!

I don t usually write reviews but I had such an amazing experience here with my family. The food was delicious and our server was excellent and very quick. Will definitely be coming back here soon :)

I had a late lunch with my wife and girls. The food was excellent and very filling. The service was good. We will be returning soon. The atmosphere was really great.

We visited Mexis Orleans last night. The restaurant wasnt busy at all. We were sat quickly and waited about 5 minutes for our waitress to greet us. We asked a few questions about the menu, in terms of the Gluten Friendly items, and the waitress had to go ask the chefs. Once we ordered, we waited a good 45 minutes for our food to come out to us, which is long for what we ordered and the fact it wasnt a busy time. But whats worse, the brought out mine and my husbands meal but not the kids. We waited for their food, which one kid was served 5 minutes after us and my youngest had to wait another 10 minutes. She ordered chicken fingers. Then! HALF the chicken fingers were burnt. BURNT! And because we waited for the kids to have their food, our meals were stone cold. Not to mention not very flavorful, was quite bland. The waitress didnt know what to say to us and ran off to ask what we can only assume to be a manager but she was much younger than our waitress. Extremely unimpressed and will not return.

Ive had great experiences here. The fish tacos and Mexican flag enchiladas are favourites in my family. The food is better than average, MUCH better than the average chain, and is reliably consistently good. Service is variable, but always decent, sometimes awesome. The salsa varieties are delicious and with varying spice levels. Lunch specials are a nice option for a lighter meal. We enjoy eating here!

amazing place to east

Very solid tasting food and the staff and serbice are phenominal. But theyre starting to cut corners on portions. Its literally ice cream scoops of beans and rice now vs a full decent portion 2-3 years ago.....and prices have only gone up.

I ordered from this place on Uber eats 4 minutes before closing and I got the best delivery experience ever so far. I m really grateful. First of all, the food was super fresh, and second it was very well packed and organized. Desserts and all. Clearly a well managed place. Will be coming to dine in for date night soon

We hosted a party of about 40 people at mexis on short notice this week, and it was such a success thanks to the excellent food and service staff. We were given a large area off to the side and two very kind, dedicated servers. Food arrived promptly and flowed well all night, and the same goes for drinks. Our guests loved the giant sangria and water pitchers and the avocado bites were the star of the evening, with the ribs being a close second. Id highly recommend Mexis whether it be a night out or an event. Thank you so much for making our evening flow so smoothly!

Small portions, big prices. Seriously, a really sad plate of soggy chicken nachos for 25$. The plate was a joke. Hardly any chicken at all, I think they count the chips to make sure less than 15 get on the plate, cheese was almost inexistant. How cheap can you get? This is price gouging at its worse. Mexicali Rosas used to be the place to go, now its the place to avoid. One very positive note is that our server was very good. 5 stars for her

Had a bad experience, the we waited over an hour to receive food after we asked for it. It arrived cold and dry. Do not go there.

It was very good when it was Mexicali Rosas. It is a Mexis now and food is dried out and my burrito was very bland. Too expensive for what we got.

Slow service

What a disappointing first experience. Our table and only our table had our order lost which left us waiting well over an hour. Then I received the incorrect order. I was willing to eat it given the long wait with our kids but told it would be removed from the bill. It wasn t. We will not be returning.

We were there celebrating an event with well over 50 guests who were ushered into the reserved rooms where they could either be seated or stand. The service staff did a wonderful job for four hours catering to everyone, serving drinks and the excellent Mexican style food dishes on request. The event was well executed and I highly recommend it as an option for any celebration.

Peter, our server was exceptional! He was attentive, anticipated our needs prior to us even having to ask such as bringing water when he greeted us plus extra napkins. He then even brought more cold water in a beautiful empty liquor bottle. He was there without being obnoxious, he did not rush us, did not swoop in to ask for payment while we were still eating. He was friendly, kind and really lovely. We could not praise him enough and when he brought over his manager, we passed along the same sentiments. We tipped generously on our bill - splits with the kitchen he said -plus gave him an extra cash tip for he more than deserves it! The food itself was bad and quite expensive. Flavourless. I had chicken fajitas and my husband the beef. The wings were also to be medium yet were BBQ. Peter, you were so amazing and we thank you for the great experience!

Came here on Sunday afternoon for lunch with 2 hungry kids and no one attended to us. We waited at the reception and no one received us. We felt disappointed and unwelcome as people of color. You can do better!

Waited 5 minutes to be seated (wasnt busy but I understand could be staffing issues) but when someone came to seat us they had this complete look that said I dont want to be here and then proceeded to ignore us and help the Uber eats driver who just walked in. So we left and went to Lone Star.

The steak quesadilla was great!

We had a private party for 40 at the back. There was plenty of room to move around and mingle. We ordered several appetizers and fajita dishes for sharing as guests were on the move chatting. What a gem! Kid-friendliness: Great party room at the back! The setup and decor is a setting for a classy party. The staff were very accommodating to setting up the room however we desired. The food was really good!

The embiance was perfect, but the table was pretty small and got crowded quickly. Vegetarian options: I didnt order the vegetarian dishes, but they were identified on the menu. Wheelchair accessibility: The dining room is wheelchair accessible, and there are tables that could accommodate wheel chair accessibility.

First time at this restaurant! Great service, food was cold and tasted less Mexican and more Canadian than I expected. All in all still worth a 4 in my books.
