Great evening out with friends! A comfortable pub with a menu that makes you stay. The best haddock and chips in Oshawa. And their prices include the tax!

A great little hideaway pub. We ordered take-out. Great food, large portions, and reasonably priced. Very friendly service. We will definitely be back, next time we'll stay and have a beverage or two.
Absolutely love this place! Compared to the other bars in the vicinity it’s comparatively cheaper. The drinks are basic and the menu is simple, they don’t have a printed menu but it’s written and hung on the walls. Very cosy and the owners/staff are friendly and nice. Would definitely go back again!
This place has REALLY good reviews. Given the surrounding neighbourhood, I was a little hesitant to stop on by but figured I'd give it a shot; It could be a hidden gem. It really is a blast from the past. Walking into 'cheers' and everyone knows your name. We were outsiders, but were greeted with a smile by the sweet lady behind the counter. A couple patrons also said hello. Unsure of where to sit we chose a small table off to the side and browsed the daily specials on the wall. Person after person strolled on in, and the woman behind the counter knew each ones drink order off by heart and already had it ready to go for them. Service like that is definitely something special in today's day and age. Prices are VERY cheap. $4.50 for draft beer, $12 for halibut tacos, $7.75 for a loaded banquet burger. Personally, food was nothing spectacular; At least what we had. I was definitely full and it tasted ok. I do want to come back and give some of their other dishes a try. Especially since they're homemade and many dishes have good reviews. If you're looking for quality service with cheap beer and eats, this definitely place is definitely worth checking out.
We have purchased dinner here 3 times and have had a great experience and delicious food each time. This evening one of our items was not packaged and we didn't realize until we were home (we don't live close to the pub) and the owner provided great customer service and resolved the issue quickly. We've had some less than great experiences with restaurants lately and its so refreshing to have had incredible service and food at this pub! This is definitely one of our go to restaurants now. Honestly, the food is so good!!
Saturday, we went to Daniel Patricks Bar & Grill. Husband had the one piece halibut and fries. I had a pound of wings and an order of wedges. I had a beer, hubby had a pop. Total was around $35. Food was pretty dang good. Husband could only finish half his meal, cause it was so filling. The fries were delicious. If you’re into a thicker batter on your fish, possibly beer batter style, you’ll enjoy this. My wings were huge, so while at first I thought five was a bit skimpy for a pound, they were huge and filling. Sauced well and a nice crisp to them. Potato wedges were honestly some of the best I’ve had because I like mine really crispy. These were perfect. Could maybe use a bit more seasoning but still good as they were. The man working the front, Dwayne, was attentive and quick. I can definitely understand why this is a bar for regulars, as it’s really a place where for the prices and food you get, you can’t go wrong.
An interesting little place, extra friendly staff and patrons, a really well priced menu with lots of options. The only downfall is the lack of beers , but they had one I can drink so all was not lost. I will certainly be returning soon.

Reeeally great place! We just stopped by on our way to a movie and were pleasantly surprised. The food is delicious, good portions and prices. Its a classic hole in the wall feeling but clean, friendly and somewhere you want to stay and chill out. Wouldnt recommend the lemon pepper wings, a little heavy on the seasoning makes the flavor over powering but we also got honey garlic and hot and they were so damn good. Grilled cheese was also yummy and their fries are the exact same as New York fries! Get your butt over there and nom nom

My husband and I did take-out.1 ordered 2 Halibut & 1 chip, plus an order of Mushroom caps for supper on Friday night. I went and picked up at required time and brought it home. It was delicious. Daniel Patricks did not disappoint. The kitchen cook & server worked very cohesively together. Thank-you. Would definitely recommend them.
Terrible experience. Food looked NOTHING like advertised. Fish was over done, there was hair in the wings. The chicken from the chicken ceasar salad was inedible. Worst 50 I EVER spent WOULD NOT RECOMMEND. The waitress was nice but thats it.
used up to be the best fish and chips in Oshawa. the chips ended up in the garbage rhe other night. maybe a bad day in the kitchen

Will not return and we usually eat out 3-4 times per week. Place is mainly filled with regulars who live in the apartments across the street who come across the road to get drunk on warm cheap beer. We felt like outsiders and when the waitress asked how the soup was, my wife told her it was very watery. She then told my wife if she didnt like it then dont bother coming back. We were awestruck!!. Needless to say we have passed this on to several people who wont be going back either. I hope they are surviving on takeout during the now lockdown for the Covid crisis. 1/5

We went to get wings last night and the experience was great! I called ahead of time and it was easy to order and I got a great deal as well. I told him how long I would be and he said he would wait to start making the order since it would take me close to 20 mins to drive there. I thought that was a great customer service! Wings tasted great too. The only reason for the 4 stars is because I would have preferred a bit more sauce on my wings but thats also a preference and I will ask for more sauce next time :)

If youre looking for a relaxed English Style pub, friendly staff, and to save a few bucks, this is your place. I cant think of anywhere else that serves hot water in finger bowls when youre having chicken wings. This service what to expect. Awesome. This is our regular local now. Matt Smith was an employee of Kamstra Landscaping who recently passed away. We had a celebration of life at Daniel Patrick s for Matt with employees and his family from this restaurant. Terry, the owner is such a wonderful person. She welcomed us with such warmth. She arranged delicious food, desserts and baileys for our celebration. The staff and patrons are so friendly and welcoming. It is nice to know that Matt had such great friends who were like his family looking out for him. Thank you all for being so warm and kind.

Working during Covid so I only met the owner and no beer but she was incredibly nice and finding that much good food for such low prices was fantastic. Will be getting food from here often in the future.

This tiny little bar is absolutely amazing! The fish & chips are the best in Oshawa. The place has excellent prices and freindly staff. It may be small but its cozy with wholesome food. Be adventurous, give the place a try and strike up a conversation with the staff and regulars.

I go here on a weekly basis. This little hole in the wall spot is just the place to go if you want cheap eats and great serving staff!! Definitely recommend to anyone cruising around the area or new to the community.

You absolutely cant beat the prices at DPs! You can have an entire entree (huge portions too!) for well under $10! The beer is cold and the service is amazing! The bar itself is dated, but has a lot of charm to its character. You can tell it is well loved by the regulars and they are quick to accept newcomers in. If you just want great food, great drinks and a quiet location - this is the place for you!

Excellent burger, my picky mom loved the potato salad, fries are good and not soggy or dry, waitress was friendly and prompt. Prices are amazing! $33 before tip for 3 people full meals and pops with refills. Was a bit loud during dinner hours, but the crowd thinned closer to 8pm (wed.) and it was quieter. Definitely going again!

Its a nice cozy little bar and grill, decent prices and good food. Its a little cramped so go early if you intend to check the place out. Also includes a bunch of TVs around the bar so you can stay up to date with the latest games (or news when nothings really going on)
