I have been ordering from here for over 30 yrs, my favourite spot In Oshawa, very consistent, always filling. Have only ever ordered a single meal and its always fed 2 people. They could update and renovate the front desk area though, Its been the same since 1988.....lol Im a Customer for life. Thank you for the great service.

I just ordered sweet and sour pork ribs from here, just today it is all bone and dough no pork rib worst plate I ve ever had. Do not recommend going here terrible food.

The food is GREAT. It is my NEW restaurant since I moved to Durham. The young lady who works here is so friendly. She knows who Im when I place my order on the phone. I ALWAYS get extra fortune cookies. My BEST order is chicken lo mein with extra water chestnuts, yummm! Naz...

First time eating food from here and I have to say I was very disappointed. Some of the food was so over salted it was quite literally inedible, and I like salty food. The spare ribs were breaded pieces of bone covered in sweet and sour sauce. So many pieces were nothing but bone and cartilage. Overall, we spent close to 130$, and it was not worth it at all. The quality and taste of food is just not good and there are many restaurants with much better tasting food elsewhere.

Went there tonight. . Soggy food, chicken balls were soggy and pretty nasty. Rice was full of liquid and soggy. Egg rolls were good minus the fact they were drenched in oil, so much that oil was spilling from our mouths. Unfortunate...

Garlic Dry Ribs was wet ribs in a bland gravy??? Every dish was in the same sauce different vegetable. Never order again from here. I will google search for better alternatives vs ordering from my m-I-l takeout menu. $90 wasted

DONT WASTE YOUR HARD EARNED MONEY!!! Weve ordered from here for years, but definitely not anymore... First, the bag came saturated with liquid that leaked out from the chop suey. The paper bag fell apart and there was literally, half a cup of juice in the bottom of the surrounding plastic bag. Everything was a gross, soggy mess. Dont know why l thought things would get better... Second, the chop suey itself was way overcooked - everything was limp with no crunch to any of the vegetables...it was definitely not made fresh. It had the texture of day old leftovers heated up in a microwave and literally tasted like a dirty, wet dish rag. Third, the chicken balls were over cooked on the outside, a bit undercooked in the inside with some small, dry chicken bits. However, aside from the pre-packaged fortune cookies, this was the only edible part of the order. Fourth...the sweet and sour sauce was like water. l could deal with that if l had to, but this??? It tasted like vinegary dish water...no sweetness or viscosity to it at all. Completely disgusting. All in all, not a great way to ring in the new year with possibly the worst meal ever, but there it is. We used to be able to rely on Mayflower for delicious food, but there is definitely no commitment to producing quality food anymore. We wont be ordering from there again. Please...be forewarned.

Nope. Dont do it. Veggie chow mein = $10 worth of mainly just bean sprouts with zero flavour. Did not even eat. Complaint was not well received. Lesson learned wont go back.

No chicken in sweet and sour balls. Food was ok but won t be back. Always get egg roll with meal and no egg roll. Owner has the personality of a cucumber.

Cash only, but they dont even have an ATM. Will rudely tell you to go to the Circle K next door. Orders do not match the leaflet, and sides are always changing to a cheaper alternative. (Ex chow mein to beansprouts.) And no discount for missing parts of ypur combo and of course, no subsitution. Back kitchen also looks REALLY dirty from just a glance! Wish theyd get bought out!! Prices are also crazy high for a place with no flavour and doesnt serve fresh food.

VERY POOR SERVICE. Gave us chop suey instead of chow mein noodles. Lied and said they are the same thing, because they didn t want to give us the noodles as advertised. On top of that it was soaked in sauce and saggy. 10/10 don t recommend. Save your money and go elsewhere Parking: A bit of parking

The chicken fried rice is very blah no flavour at all. When you call in for an order they don t tell you it s cash only, no signs on the window or noticed on the counter. Use to always come here but won t ever again

The food tasted Great, lots of flavor, well worth the money, price was reasonable, just a note, cash only. But there is a bank machine in Circle K. Next door.

If you used to order from mayflower a couple years ago and remember it being good, well it definitely isnt anymore! Listen to the bad reviews. The lady on the phone was either uneducated on the ingredients in the dishes or she just lied about it. The delivery took about 1.5 hours, we even called after 45 min (what she originally told us it would take) and she said it was on the way and then still took another 45 min. The food was cold, we had to heat everything back up. And honestly it just didnt taste good. Everything was hard, stuck together and cold.

Stay away, save your money. They have gone cheap on their sauces. I use to love going here but I hear someone else took over. Their sweet and sour sauce has no flavour and take a look at what they call plum sauce, it s laughable. It s some kind of orange coloured water. CHEAP CHEAP CHEAP

Great food and sweet service

Grabbed lunch there today. Wonton soup was pretty good but the Cantonese Chow Mein was awful. They either forgot to put the sauce on it or their version has no sauce, blech. Did not find it inexpensive either as the two things I ordered came up to almost $25. Definitely not worth the money; I wont go back.

The food was bland and awful, the chicken fried rice tasted like fish, the vegetables used were mushy and brown in color, one dish every single piece had a chunk of bone in it, and the store interior looked dirty. I have never written a single food review before but I write this in hopes that nobody has to waste 50$ on literal trash, and I say that as someone with very low food standards.

Loyal customer for 50 years and always enjoyed the food here. It has obviously changed owners over the years but was always good. Tonight was terrible, chicken fried rice was mushy and stuck together, no peas or bean sprouts in it like usual. Very bland and barely edible. Egg rolls were tasteless and the chicken balls were over cooked outside and doughy inside. The sweet and sour sauce in the dish that is usually thick, was like water. The lo mein was the only thing that was good. 58.00 for a disappointing meal. I called to tell them how disappointed we were and got a sorry. My years of Mayflower are sadly ending.

I had never been before, couldnt find a menu online, nothing thru Doordash, or Uber Eats so I had to drive there and see the printed menu. Cash Only as well. The food was very good, but the General Tao Chicken wasnt spicy enough for me. Chow Main and Egg Rolls were excellent.

Hands down my favorite Chinese food in Oshawa. I always order the Shanghai noodles and chicken chow mein and every time it has been amazing. My sibling is a very picky eater but they love the noodles from here. Egg and spring rolls are also fantastic.

The food was terrible. The rice tasted burnt, the chicken and beef if was that, was disgusting. Very fatty. They only accept cash. During covid, really that makes a lot sense. We will never eat here again.

Great food we go there all the time.

Not impressed. Despite bad reviews I gave this a go today. Food took longer then expected. It definitely wasnt worth what we paid for it or time waiting for it. The chicken balls were good, not dry and that was the best part of our meal. Sadly, the general tao chicken was so unedible that we couldnt even eat it. Ive never tasted something more disgusting. I will not be ordering again from here.

Best Chinese food around. We come in from Bowmanville to get it. We also bring a cooler to put the food in . Stays hot until we get home.

Worst experience ever. Was quoted 45 minutes for delivery but took 90. When the food finally arrived, it was cold and dripping so much it ripped out the bottom of the bag. Wasnt given a bill total until the driver arrived. Very disappointing. We will never order from them again.

This is the worst place ever, they screwed up my order & when I called back they hung up on me & I called again & they wouldn t answer their phone, charged me 71.00$ on my bank card & the food was dried out & disgusting, never again!

Our family has been eating here for 25 years plus. Food is always consistent. Its take out only but I dont mind we prefer to take our food home. They give lots there is always tons of left overs. Thank you for the continuously great food.

*** Downhill over the last couple of years. Ordered my last take out from May Flower. Chop suey has barely any chicken whereas it use to have large chunks of white meat. Sweet n sour shrimp use to be large now it s all batter. The father owner was awesome, his son or nephew or whatever that is in there now has zero personality, won t say hello or crack a smile if his life depended on it. The only thing good about our order was the large portion sizes, the food wasnt that good, our diced beef veggies and almonds had no almonds and the worst thing was that our sweet and sour spare ribs were LITERALLY just breaded bones in sweet and sour sauce, absolutely no meat on them, every piece was just a bone with breading on it..?

Consistently good food for well over the 20 years I have been going here. Their fried rice is the best in both Durham Region and Northumberland County. After moving away several years ago, I still drive over an hour to pick up the best Chinese food that I know.

USED to be a loyal costumer for 6 years. Ordered in January and it took 2hours and 45 mins to arrive. By then I had already fed my family. Decided today to give them another shot. Before placing my order I asked for the wait time for delivery. They said 45 mins to an hour tops. That was at 4:15pm. The latest I could have the food arriving was 5:30 as we needed to leave by 5:45. At 5:20 I called and was told it was on its way and would be here 10 mins. Called again at 5:30 and tried to explain that I was giving them another shot and at this point it was 15 mins past the latest time it should arrive. Person on the phone said dont shoot the messenger. I said ok can I speak to the owner/manager. Was then hung up on! Called again at 5:45 to tell them I wouldnt be paying at this point (they could at least let their driver know) and again asked to speak to the manager. Was told the manager wouldnt be entertaining my call. Mothers Day dinner ruined. Incredibly disappointed. Such awful customer service.

Amazing food great price

Ordered the dinner for 4 and was very disappointed in the overall bland and humogenous flavour of the meal. The chow mien was 90% bean sprouts, in a warm sludge. Such a letdown. Will not be returning!

Ordered from Mayflower last night and I was embarrassed to serve it to my guests. It was the worst Chinese food I have ever had. Kung Po Chicken was pretty much just a dish of bland celery. Tiny pieces of chicken and celery. That was it. The Cantonese chow mein had salad shrimp in it and was bland. The Beef and Brocoli was brutal. Soggy Brocoli. Ordered Chicken Balls which I wont eat but I was told they were OK. Would never order from them again. Very poor quality.
