Fish and Chips were fresh and hot. Our service was fantastic. The portion was perfect. Restaurant was exceptionally clean and tidy. As my wife hates the smell of any type of seafoods, we are both pleased she can join me for the perfect breakfast egg sandwich as she could not smell a fishy dinning room. This is a Win Win for both of us!!

Had lunch with an friend on Sunday May 12th. If I am in the Oshawa area I will be going back. Staff are great and attentive. Food was very good.

Anyvother time we go we enjoy having our fish and chips this particular day the server was great but our food was just awful.. the fish was dry and the fries were old. We mentioned to the server and she told us the cook was in a bad mood and she could only take my pop off.. we will not be coming back here

The restaurant is very clean and intimate and the staff was friendly! The Shrimp and chips was the go too and it did not disappoint at all. Overall a must return restaurant

Was first time there nd wow was I impressed. Sarah was a great waitress with a beautiful smile and great personality that welcomed us at the door and very fast to serve us. The halibut was so fresh and perfectly cooked fries were nice and crispy and the coleslaw was crunchy and fresh. If I could suggest anything it would be to go back and eat there again as we will be also.Thank you for a delightful lunch.

From the last time I ordered from this location Aug 2023 the cost has gone up to $38 for 2, and the cod fish n chips dinner enjoyment was disappointing overall. The batter was sticking to the codfish I had to scrap the fish off the batter which was hard and the fish tasted like it had freezer burn on it. I have had freshly caught cod in NFLD flash frozen that was way better. Even a serving of Captain Highliner fish deep fried at home would have been better with No Name french fries!! I visited this location Sunday 11/12/2023 i threw out chunks of hard batter and dried up fries. I was very disappointed with the server not getting my order right several times and spending so much money on a bad fish n chip dinner. I will simply be better off next time with Pan fried Fish from Captain Highliner for $6.99 and No Name french fries costing $4.99.

Finest seafood culinary. The food is absolutely amazing and so is the complimentary atmosphere. Doesn t take much time to prepare whatever you like to order. Also there is someone who serves food with a smile and she is like my own mother. I rate you 6/5 for that as well.

Stopped at this chain location on a Saturday lunch, surprisingly but not busy at all, we re the only customers at this time, friendly casual atmosphere, convenient location with customers parking, close to downtown Oshawa

Best fish and chip specials you can find. Big portions that taste good.

Chips were ok, fish was good. Paid expensive price for a large gravy. When opening bag 30 minutes away, NO gravy, wasn t doing a 1hour round trip to get the gravy. The small things, disappointing. Will be going somewhere else next time.

I GOT TOLD TO WRITE A BAD REVIEW!!! Garbage delivery service! I ordered food at 5:30 and they said 30mins-1hour. I ended up waiting an hour and a half for them to do nothing, I called back at 7:00 and they said we haven t cooked your food yet because our delivery person hasn t answered us back so I e been here waiting for NOTHING! My family is starving and here we are waiting for our food and they can t even call me or anything. Hate this place with a passion now, asked them for something to compensate and got told I should go write a bad review if I don t like it!

Had dine in! Got the haddock special (reopening special). It was a bit soggy? And broke apart as I tried to eat. Maybe oil wasnt hot enough? Also a lot less fries than I expected. Still good, friendly service and it was quick.

Good friday fish day was busy but they did their best to get the food out fast. Food was good. Only complaint is its expensive compared to others in the area. Thats why only 4 stars

usually order fish and chips from this location. I usually get two halibut and one order of chips which is enough for two people. You get two decent sized portions of fish and the chips are really good. As far as I know prices are competitive. If I order ahead, the meal is always done within the time frame that I am given. The staff are always friendly.

The fish was amazing. Fresh hot and very tasty. The fries and onion rings were so yummy. Restaurant is sparkling clean and nicely decorated.

Good food decent price

In this last week we Dined in for 5 Had Take out for 3 Sampled Halibut and Chips, Deep fried battered Mushrooms, Onion Rings, and Cheese Garlic Bread All were Absolutely Amazing! All fried foods were cooked to perfection and although we know its not possible they seemed as if they were all grease free Honestly we cant say enough about the quality and taste of the food It Was Fabulous! Service was super friendly, fast and accommodating The dining room was sparkling clean with a comfortable atmosphere We def recommend either dine in or take out 100%

Im a halibut eater. But was told haddock wasas good if cooked right! I have never liked haddock! I tryed it and yes they cooked it and tasted as good as halibut!! Im shocked

Fish too oily, full of flour, just awful and too expensive.

Asked for tartar sauce when I placed my order and asked again when I picked it up. Was told everything was in the bag. Got back to work and not a tartar sauce to be found. Very disappointing. I even gave a tip. Never again.

I have never seen a restaurant so badly managed. I went in 3 months ago and waited over 1 half hour for my take out as supposedly they forgot my order. The counter person was extremely rude, I asked for my money back and the refused and she made out like it was my fault. I waited 3 months to go back and again had to wait almost 25 minutes for my take out order, I was the only one in the restaurant and again the counter person was rude when I complained about the amount of time it took for my order . The restaurant had no air conditioning and the debit machine was not working. I will never go back.

So first time going to halibut house and i have to say im not impressed. The fish tasted like it had been frozen and processed. It did not taste like halibut. The waitress was amazing she tried to accomodate us but the owners wouldnt budge on making things right, basically you ordered it you pay for it. Would NOT return. I would rate this place 0 if I could I ate there tonight August 20 2019 and it was horrible I am not a big fish eater but I do enjoy the occasional halibut it was not flaky it was a perfect square and it was very fishy and if you know halibut these thing are not good,it cost me 20 bucks for 2 bites of fish and maybe 7 fries just really bad,on the other hand our waitress was excellent and truly tried to get my meal reduced but the owner would have no part of it I have never seen perfect squares of fish in a fish and chip place

I had the haddock and chips and it came with a good amount of fries and one huge piece of fish. You can get another piece of fish for like 4 bucks (I might be a few bucks off) but one is definitely enough for most people. They also give you a small amount of coleslaw. The fish was well cooked with a light, crispy battered shell that had really good flavour. I had to dock one star because the fries were not as crispy as I wouldve liked (probably not double-cooked), plus they only had generic tartar sauce in little packets. Homemade tartar sauce is easy to make (mayo and relish, basically) and tastes a lot better. Still, the service was fast and the staff was very friendly.

I love this location as me and my boyfriend go every Sunday for breakfast. Severs is fantastic and the price is great and the food is done correctly. Occasionally we go the same day for the fish special for $8 and as alway is was fantastic. This is the place for great fish and the portions is hugh. The fish batter is not over done or too thick and lots of fresh fries. I was recommended by a friend and I will not go anywhere else.

Delicious and real Halibut with crunchy and tasty fries and old-fashioned cole slaw for $16 plus tax. Friendly service and a no-stress, relatively quiet atmosphere.

Delicious haddock and great service. My only regret is that I have been living in Oshawa for a couple years and only today tried this place. It is a clean, quiet diner that I will be visiting again soon.
