"Indian/South Indian/Roti/halal/Vegetarian/Vegan"
I've been here a few times the past couple months after work since they stay open pretty late. The food has always been good, and certain dishes are fantastic both in price and taste. They have great options for vegetarians and vegans. It's prepared quickly and the staff have even given instruction on how to prepare certain items that they can't assemble for takeout as a completed dish. Will continue going here for the foreseeable future.
Quantity and quality of dosa and sambhar is not that much good . Disappointed 😏 Adding more … "Thank you for your response. However, my disappointment wasn't just about the potato masala. The overall quality and quantity of the dosa and sambar were subpar. . I was served a plain dosa with raw onions, which wasn't mentioned on the menu. Nobody expects a raw onion dosa, especially when ordering a specific variety (onion dosa) later staff provided masala, but the damage was already done. I hope you'll take my feedback seriously and improve the overall quality of your dishes."
The food was outstanding, the service was top-notch. Whether you are a fan of indian cuisine or trying it for the first time, this restaurant should definitely be on your list. I can’t wait to return!
After visiting a different location with this, my roti and dosa are very much clear that not all locations are bad it's all about how you manage. This location is fresh, hot, and amazing taste. I tired the same menu idly wada and dosa and few other mind-blowing taste the wada was crispy and idly was soft 😋 yummmmy keep up the taste guys and the server is very friendly incredibly amazing taste and service, highly recommended this location 😋 thanks
Very disappointed with the butter chicken that I order, there's only few small pieces of chicken on it, the rice tasted like rubber. I overheard the crew just microwaved it. The naan bread is soaked with oil and looks old as you can hardly chew it. It was my first time ordering to this place and never again. Just wasted 25dollars. Awful!!! 😡😡😡
This place have good food and good taste from India to be precise. Atmosphere is also nice. Food is freshly prepared. This place was kind of busy when i went there; and took a while to deliver and it was kind of frustrating to wait for food you and you are hungry. We had plain Dosha which was pretty good, Idili was also good and you ask them for extra Samber if not sufficient and they will provide without any extra charge. And we had Chicken Biryani which was also good; raita provided along with biryani was also deleting. If you are looking for indian food; then this is a good option for you. And will take a while for them to prepare the food: you just have to wait with patience.
We tried this place for the first time. I got the curried chicken roti which is pictured. The flavor was decent but it is so watery and not nearly enough chicken. I’m actually still hungry and I ate it. It was mostly sauce and roti. It was just very soupy and not what I expect out of a roti. My husband got the butter chicken roti and he was not happy with the flavor and there was a lack of chicken in the roti as well. Seems they fill it up with more sauce than anything. It cost us over ninety dollars for 5 rotis. For what we paid we feel ripped off. Gonna have to keep driving into Scarborough because this is definitely not the place to get really good roti.
We six people was sitting together and ordered 4 dosa ( different kinds), 1 utthapam and 1roti. Each and every single dish was very tasty and delicious. The dosa was amazing and everyone of us was 100% satisfied with their food. Customer care, cleanliness, service, taste and food quality was always appreciable. The money 💵 worth it.
I watched the owner take a chicken biryani from the fridge below his prep station and put it in the microwave, and that s what I was served for chicken biryani. Worst Indian food I have ever eaten.
Prashant doing his job so well. Really appreciate.
Super delicious! Polite and courteous staff!
Onion masala dosa was not sufficient. Onion was provide and no difference from masala dosa. Keema pav bhaji did not taste as northern indian food taste as they needed to improve a lot. Thank you.
Poor Customer service
Had one of the best kadai paneer. Also the potato masala in the dosa was authentic south indian taste. Clean and maintained well. Prashanth is a great chef!
Authentic south indian food, must try all the varities of dosas, thier rotis are too good to go.. Enjoyed the food and the ambience Food
I tried their Paneer Tikka Masala, which was tasty, and paired it with Classic Roti. However, I felt the price of the roti was too high, especially since it didn t taste freshly made. It seemed more like a frozen roti and didn t appear to be made from wheat. :)
The food is amazing and so is the staff. It is really clean and the menu is diverse with a lot of variety as well. The Mysore Masala Dosa is a must try
The food and service quality was truly exceptional, I cant wait to come back!
This is the place where you get the best dosa in town. The staffs are really good in suggesting the best dish. Highly recommended.
Love coming here after work, its been a really cool experience trying new Indian foods Ive never heard of. Theyre also open late so being one of the few places I can stop after work is great.
Best butter chicken I ve ever had and service was amazing! Definitely will be returning!
Good taste and service.
Great food and great service! Loved the fresh roti.
Great food. The chicken roti is perfect. Extremely friendly staff. Highly recommended
Such a great place to try and have fun, the people working are super nice and does the food to your request, so go eat, and have fun! Also, the service is pretty quickkk
Delicious food and highgenic
Dosa is crispy savory infisn crepe and very tasty
Awesome Roti
Tasty and Yummy . Good staff. Food
OH my goodness!! The atmosphere is fresh And very clean. The staff are very respectable people and attentive to needs and requests. The food is outstanding and very well priced!! Chicken roti was ordered and we will be going back for more!! Food : 5/5
Placing and order from Uber eats and gave a call to make sure if they receive because there uber says they are open till 12:45AM and when i gave call and ask the person who was on the phone he is like He never received my order and telling me that they close at 11:45PM for Uber and this is not for the first time it s happening. If you dont want customers to order online make sure you turn off the system ! Worst service
It is a perfect place to have homemade Indian food on foreign soil.
The food was really amazing. They served us quick and treated us very kindly.
One of the best food locations I ve been to in a while. The food is amazing and the staff is super helpful and friendly.
Indian style awesome dosa
Masala dosa is very good and authentic
We ordered mutton, shrimp and rotti but the food was very bad the quantity was very less our party ruined because of this when I reported this I got a bad comments and reply from the employe
Yummy food, and excellent quality
Here It reached my expectations the food was good flavour ful
It was very nice and tasty food.
The food is very testy and hammy and Higgin..
I tried first time for this place, its a very good taste I fully enjoyed to eat for ther delicious items.. Food
The food is really good .very tasty
Worst place ever, worst customer service We got burned food and the food was completely ruined Food
nice food
Worth visiting again.
Ive eaten here several times and its reliably good Indian food and a great option if you eat late like I do. Staff are friendly and attentive. Love the chai!
My recent visit to this restaurant was nothing short of extraordinary! The idli vada combo was an absolute culinary masterpiece each bite was a perfect blend of fluffy idlis and crispy vadas, complemented by divine chutneys and sambar. But what truly made the experience memorable was Surya, the cashier. Her exceptional kindness and attentiveness added a personal touch that made us feel genuinely valued. Surya s warm and welcoming demeanor made the end of our meal just as delightful as the beginning. This restaurant not only serves incredible food but also provides unparalleled service, thanks in no small part to Surya.
Great food for vegetarians. Nice and spicy with just the right heat! Vegetarian options: Great paneer and saag roti! Food : 5/5 |
Actually its good experience to eat peacefully and its excellent please visit if are interested.
best place for indian food in town , best butter chicken and dosa.
Came for LUNCH... had an $11.99 chicken curry roti.. incredible flavor.. super nice staff. It came with a small desert. I love HOT.. and I got the SERIOUS level Hot and it hit the spot.
Came in for lunch and had the dosa chicken tikka, and my wife had the masala dosa. Both were really good! We enjoyed it and will be back.
Nice and clean, the food is good at the right portion, nice people. They can work a little bit more on food presentation. Food
I love their South Indian Filter coffee , very close to home !!! Idlis have my heart , especially the coconut chutney! Vadapaaav are awesome, feels like home
Best dosa in town!! Anand sir is best chef Food
Amazing staff specially Surya, who helped me to select food for my parents bases on their choices with her beautiful smile. Delicious food and friendly environment.
I have ordered from them a few times now. The first couple times, it was ok. But, lately, its been not so great. The rice is way overly spiced with caraway. Thats all you can taste! The dishes are more potato than chicken and the naan is tiny, tough and extremely chewy...no flavour and difficult to even pull apart. I will not be back.
This is very best
We have seen their ad on instagram and wanted to give it a try. Dosas are really good with authentic chutneys and sambar. I have tried masala dosa and paneer bhurji dosa, both are very good portion size and tasty.
Very welcoming staff, went for a weekend breakfast and it was a good experience. Idlis I had are soft and fluffy, chutneys and sambar complemented them so well. I am not a big fan of vadas but liked them here, the crunchiness had made them taste better.
Recently visited Roti and Dosa Place in Oshawa and it was an awesome experience. Every dish we have ordered is delicious. We had ordered some extra as takeout for later. I will recommend this place to my friends and will visit again!
Amazing food and service. It was my first time at a Roti place and took me a while to order. Person taking the order was patient and helped me with choosing the right item. I got the butter chicken roti and samosa and both were top notch!
The size of rotis is big with more than enough meat in it. I got the lamb vindaloo roti and loved the spicy and tangy flavor. I have tried mango lassi too, definitely the best I have tasted so far. I will visit again with my buddies to try other items on menu.
I have been to various indian restaurants in GTA. It is only My Roti Place that has authentic dosa taste. They have a big list of dosas both veg and non veg. Staff are friendly and are quick in giving the food, they gave me my dosa in less than 5 minutes. Will definitely return.
This place has a bunch of south indian vegetarian options, masala dosa and medhu vada are my favorite. They also have good rotis, channa masala and butter paneer are a must try!
Horrible experience every single time I order. Im fed up with this restaurant food, and their quality is completely gone. Very very dry samosa chat. Terrible tasted 3 pcs parantha. My stomach got upset. I highly DO NOT recommend THIS RESTAURANT.
Recently visited Roti and Dosa Place in Oshawa and it was an awesome experience. Every dish we have ordered is delicious.
We have visited our friends in oshawa and came to this place for lunch. We have got some appetizers, dosa and curry with naan. Their samosa chaat is by far the best I have tasted, sambar with dosa has authentic touch and curry is mild spice but tasted good with naan. Overall a very nice place with good options and the staff treated us well.
Recently visited Roti and Dosa Place in Oshawa and it was an awesome experience. Every dish we have ordered is delicious.
We ordered ghee butter masala dosa and chilli cheese uttapam. Dosa was crispy and masala had great flavour to it. Sambhar and chutneys were awesome, if given a bit more quantity would be even better.
Had some real good food tonight, really best rotis in town like they say. Worth the price with reasonable portions. Places across street that are newly opened are more expensive and less portioned. I loved their mango lassi, which is the best refresher for summer.
Great place to try authentic dosas, staff are friendly and service was quick.
My Roti Place provides a true taste of India! The staff is really kind, the foods are tasty. There is something for everyone, regardless of your preference for mild or spicy food. Butter chicken roti and Mysore masala dosa are highly recommended. A must-go-to for anyone in the mood for some delicious Indian food.
I recently visited My Roti Place in Oshawa, and it was an outstanding experience! The staff were incredibly friendly. The food was absolutely deliciouse and was bursting with authentic flavors and made with high-quality and hygiene. The Roti was perfectly soft , and the curry was rich and Indian flavours. This place has quickly become one of my favorite spots for Indian cuisine. Highly recommended! Do visit oshawa my roti place.
Best yellow dal and roti Vegetarian options: If you re vegan this is a good spot to try !!! Food : 5/5
Quiet place with tasty food
Superb food (roti dishes and dosa options). Very good service.
I had a serious craving for Roti tonight and this was the best that Ive had in years, had it with chicken and Moms Classic Curry (mild) and yummmmm I devoured the entire thing! Ive also never tried Gulabo before and it was a perfect sweet treat to finish off with!
Food is decent. Dirty tables, long wait and cashier itching his head while taking orders using the same glove he uses to cook is a BIG turn off. Would return if these are addressed, given theres lots of other options in Durham, they need to step up their game.
i ordered food from here this morning.. guy who is working in morning wasted alot of time.. didn t handover my food to the assigened uber driver due to some personal grudges.. i talked with guy on call still he didn t understand it.. staff service is poor .. wasted my time and energy.. i will not recommend anybody to order food from this place.. unprofessional staff working in morning.. very bad service.. want my refund
First time here...unbelievable lamb roti.. the cook was there alone and it started to get busy so took a little while but well worth it!! He was also very nice.... about time we have some good food in Oshawa!! So happy!! Food
When you walk in the door the smell of fresh curry and spices welcome you warmly along with the staff. We ordered 2 of the11.99 lunch specials of chicken roti, and it was made fresh to order, so full of flavor and delicious. Well worth a try. It was my partners first time trying roti and he needs to have it again today lol 10 stars from us! Welcome to the neighborhood! EDIT: Since my first experience at this restaurant we have gone back 3 times and have been very disappointed. It seems you get charged the dinner price for lunch portions! Last night my husband went in for me to get the chicken roti for dinner, first, the taste is still all there, however $18 dollars for a roti with lots of gravy with maybe 1 chicken thigh and half a potato is an immediate NO from me. My husband is too nice to argue but I feel scammed by your restaurant/staff, and I will not be nice about it.
If you go for lunch and get the lunch special, its a great experience, but if you go for dinner, youre going to get lunch portions at the dinner price.
I enjoyed the Butter Chicken Roti- worth the cost, generous portion, and courteous services. I would eat at this place again.
Very impressed with the flavour and quality of the food. One order of lamb biryani was enough for three meals for myself. Delicious and the two sauces also delicious.
This is the best south indian food I ve ever especially dosa is really very tasty and staff is really very friendly.
Not happy at all. Placed an order on phone for pickup and was asked to come in 25 mins. I came after 30 mins and again asked to wait for 15 more minutes because they got Uber orders which were placed after me and clearly told by the staff. I think the restaurant should value everyone s time. This was my first experience with this restaurant and last as well as I won t be ever coming back again. Worst service.
This was second time we went. Foods was very tasty. Prices are affordable. We gonna try every item in the menu
Best place to have Roti and Dosa, nice ambiance and very friendly staff
Best dosa place in Oshawa.
The service is slow. Waited more than 30 minutes
lazy staff specially the guy who is working in day .. uber eats order skip dishes order always delayed 20 minutes.. always rude to delivery drivers .. i always cancel order from this restaurant.. the guy which is hardworking folk according to you.. he told me wait 10 minutes when i returned after 10 minutes he told me 10 more minutes in a very rude manner.. and say i don t talk to delivery drivers..is this is your service? is this is correct way to treat your folk will always tell you his side of story not truth
very bad experience as a delivery boy here .. staff told me 10 minutes and took 25 minutes.. customer abused me for delay.. staff doesn t give respect to delivery drivers they don t care about it.. very slow staff very slow service.. rude to drivers.. never accept delivery request from this restaurant in future
Amazing new Indian restaurant in Oshawa!!! I have visited this restaurant with my family and everyone loved their food ! Loved their flavour of sambar and it is one of the best I ve tasted in Canada!! Food : 5/5
Loved this place, food is really tasty, great and very peaceful people who always greeted politely and followed instructions on exactly how I wanted my food to be.
So, Its about last night,we ordered Mysore Dosa, which was actually far more delicious than I expected.Must try Even the staff working there was really nice and humble. Thanks guys.
Best Dosa in town
I order from there paneer paranthas wordt paranthas ever you eat they are serving frozen paranthas, instead of spending 13 dollars to them its better to buy frozen paranthas from local grocery shop that will taste better it was burn from the sides and size is so small that ypu take 2 bites and its done. The person who know about indian food and work in food industry will definately like to come there and show you how food been made. Worst place to order food its better to eat from mc donalds if you are hungry instead from them. Such a bad indian i could not imagine first time buy from you guys but badly disappointed. Thank you So as you reply you feel like i am your competitor sir the way your food is you dont need a competitor your food is good enough to say that food is frozen
I ordered massala Dossa first time it was not good even they did not add onion and tomatoes if we want add taking extra charges moreover coconut sauce like a water no any taste overall this was my first time ordering in future I will not order specifically Dossa.
Today you have only one guy he got 10 orders at one time but the thing is he was very rude says 20 minutes pls make sure enough employees u hv if less should not rude.
Amazing place.
They have the best Dosa in Oshawa, great service. If someone loves south Indian cuisine, this place is a must try.
I enjoyed there its was a good place for indian food , I highly recommend.
I liked the ambience and food, staff are friendly too. Classic uttapam and dosa we tried were awesome. Would definitely recommend to my buddies.
The place had a good atmosphere
I have ordered for delivery. Food was really cold and I have called told food wasn t fresh. Still no respond
Didn t like to food at all the media wada were so hard dry and no taste at all. Chutneys had no taste either. Sambhar hardly had vegetables and was sweet and spicy no taste in that too. Felt like we just at as we were hungry but not worth the money at all.
Just returned from a very disheartening breakfast. The Dosa was fresh. Got two COLD chutneys in little containers. When asked about the third, he says he hasn t made it and hence it s not available. So ended up paying exorbitantly for something very substandard. I don t think I will go there again.
Have dined at this place a lot and did Catering for a party at my place. The food and its variety were awesome. The owner and staff here are very courteous and friendly .This is must go to place.
Decent food, service, and ambience. The portions are generous. The roti (flatbread with curry inside) is more like something from the Indian cuisine of Southeast Asia or the West Indies - but the flavours are spot on for Indian food. The dosas are decent too. The only complaint is that the disposable cutlery is not up to the job...
Sambar Vada and dosa is good
Be careful when ordering food there. The menu item is being misinterpreted by them. I ordered a butter chicken roti with side options and just got a butter chicken curry with veggies.
Good food!
Have tried their Vadapav and masala dosa, both are authentic. Customer service is good with friendly staff.
Pathetic food quality and messy presentation. Their cook needs to learn the basics of South Indian Food. Worst quality of South Indian food undercooked
We ordered butter chicken roti and chicken tikka dosa. Food was amazing and the portion is good! Will come back again!
Best Dosa in town, so yummy and delicious. They have a good and friendly customer service. I recommend mysore plain dosa, the best!!
We had the pleasure of dining at the Oshawa outlet this afternoon. The menu offerings we selected, including the Mysore Masala Dosa, Ghee Butter Dosa, Samosa Chaat, and Butter Chicken Roti, were nothing short of delightful. However, it was impossible not to notice the tremendous effort put in by a single staff member who admirably juggled cooking, taking orders, and maintaining the cleanliness of the premises. Despite the evident strain and fatigue, his dedication to delivering delicious meals did not waver, and for that, he deserves immense praise. While the food was exceptional, this observation leads me to hope that the management will consider adding more staff to this location. Such an addition would undoubtedly enhance the dining experience and ensure the wellbeing of their hardworking employees. In conclusion, our visit was a delightful journey of flavors, marked by commendable staff resilience. We look forward to our next visit, hopefully to an even more supportive environment for their extraordinary team.
Vc this is the worst place o can eat food these people told me that Ill get my food till 1:30 and now when I already waited till 1:30 they are saying its gonna take 30 minutes more if they dont have the capability to server 3-4 tables they should not take orders The person in the front is telling me we can cancel the order after 20 minutes What do you want is to do I just simply hate this place Will not visit this They are telling that we need to clean and close the kitchen, if my Dosa my Roti place want to close at 1:30 then why not put a Board outside saying its closed already
Food is great.! But worst customer service ever. The staff is very rude, and for most of the items in menu are out of stock or they dont want to make it
Very friendly service and quality food. Authentic South Indian flavours. Parking: Paid street parking at day times Food : 4/5 |
Nice crispy paper dosa. Reminded me of favourite dosa place from my childhood.
Tasty food, friendly staff, good service. Nice place to try Indian food.
The food was delicious, and the staff was really friendly. There, Mysore masala dosa is a must try. Food
Love the food here
Amazing food and staff! Loved everything that we ate!
Good customer And food Food
I recently ordered egg dosa and curd rice. The egg dosa was really really good, the chutneys were great but the curd rice was thoroughly disappointing. It was dried up, sticky and lacked salt. The rice was overly mashed for some reason.
The boys at the service counter are not experienced or enough to handle huge order requests. The food was literally heated on the microwave in front of you. You can t say anything better for this place.
Very tasty. One dosa was big enough for two lunches. Be prepared to wait. Food
We had been really hoping to find a dosa place closer to home and just happened to be on a walk downtown and saw My Dosa Place. The good: -The prices are extremely reasonable and there is enough variety in options to be a real difference maker. -The use of a pizza box for takeaway; honestly, it is a perfect option for dosa that Im surprised hasnt really caught on elsewhere. It was really great for keeping it in a good way. The bad: I wouldnt really qualify it as bad (thus the five stars), but the masala dosa filler was different from what Ive had in the past (a little more pasty/less solid). The overall flavour was still good, and the dosa was nice and crispy when we got home.
I would say the food has taste but costumer service os really bad , one of the employee was very rude. Even they say we have standard quantity for everything which is not true at all. I am really disappointed on my second visit, I would never go there again.
My whole family enjoyed the food. You order the food at the counter and its self-serve. Vegetarian options: They have vegetarian and vegan options. Kid-friendliness: They have high chair for kids.
Great food great service
Excellent food taste, especially the dosa varieties - South Indian authentic! Much appreciate on staffs service and politeness! More recommending for Tiffin lovers !
Very nice clean restaurant with very friendly staff. Food was very delicious and tasty Vegetarian options: Wide variety of vegetarian food.
Potato filling in Masala Dosa was more of curry than stuffing.
The food was very delicious. Customer service was great. I would recommend butter chicken and masala dosa. Honey garlic cauliflower is also a must try. Great place to have Indian food.
Love their packaging of dosa in pizza boxes which keeps it fresh and crispy.
Filling in Masala dosa was not authentic.
Stumbled upon this place accidentally! Excellent, best food in town. Butter chicken roti was the best butter chicken we ve ever had. Quick and efficient service. Will definitely be back!
Absolutely Amazing experience! Best dosas in town! Worth the price, big portions and great quality! Keep up the awesome service! I had Mysore dosa and mango lassi btw
Food was delicious.Glad I found this place, but only thing bothered us was they give very less sambar and chutney and then make u get up every time(while youre eating) to refill.
Good place
The staff are very helpful and genuinely care about their job. I came in later at night (21:45) and they were still friendly and caring; something I lack at that time of night. The food is always delicious and I am glad they ve made a home in Oshawa. I highly recommend that if you have not tried the food here that you are missing out and need to go. Vegetarian options: The menu has several option that are either vegetarian. Dietary restrictions: There are several options on the menu that are gluten free. If you have an aversion to spicy food they can tailor your dish to your tolerances. Kid-friendliness: The sitting area can accommodate a wide variety of party sizes and compositions. Wheelchair accessibility: Although there isn t a button on the entrance door there is a ramp and the washroom is on the same level.
Kid-friendliness: nicely decorated Recommended dishes
Good food and friendly service
I have tasted best dosa in Canada. I tried shrimp hakka chili dosa and it s mindblowing. Definitely go there again and again. There stuff Boopathy and Jivin is very cordial and courteous. Oh I never like masala tea but there ones is best
Dosa was burnt and bitter and it s so stiff we can t even chew it. Tried talking to staff but they argue back that this is how dosa is made. Pathetic and horrible service. Would not recommend.
Tasty and filling masala dosa even for me !
If you wanna eat authentic Tamil Nadu food, it s the right place. I have visited the place many times and a perfect place for a late-night dinner. Also, thanks to Chef Boobathi for the wonderful food.
One of the better Indian restaurants around. Dosa and curry-roti are good, biriyani isn t too bad. Food
The place is not maintained clean and the chutneys were served cold and clearly not fresh. Not worth the price they charge, the staff were very courteous.
I am very disappointed with the quantity they gave me this for $12 4 small pieces Food
The masala dosas are a real delight light, airy pancakes filled with mild masala potatoes that are simply scrumptious! The butter chicken poutine is another must-try, it s irresistibly good. For a refreshing treat, go for the mango lassi, and if you re in the mood for a tasty snack, the samosa chaat is excellent. It features broken-open samosas mixed with chickpeas and it s delicious.
Really disappointed with food today .. found this fly in my food and when I showed them they hardly acknowledge it .. not gonna be back again.
Fantastic dosas! We had mysore, Masala and chicken tikka. All the dosas were fantastic!!!! The chutneys were brilliant and the sambar too was delicious. Only one complaint!! If you re going advertise that you have filter coffee, please make filter coffee and not vending machine stuff!!! That was the only disappointing factor!!!!
one of the worst veg biryani here, confused as it was biryani or kichidi although paper masala dosa was good. I dont recommend for biryani but can try for dosa.
The portions were amazing, chutney could have been warmer! Enjoyed Tamil music - felt like back home. Also it would be nice to get proper cutlery to eat food in.
Went in on ganesh chaturthi to have dosa. Utterly disappointed, the red chutney has gone bad, sambar was watered down and paid 36$ for 2 dosas and a limca. Not value for money.
We visited the restaurant around 1:20 we asked for samosa chat and were denied by the cashier. So we asked for the manager who told us the same. The staff told us that they had limited menu after 1 which is the horrible customer service. The staff was making the same for an online order which we saw. Ive been in canada for a month and this is the worst service Ive gotten till now.
I have been a loyal customer since two years. We went as a group of 6 at 1:20 am and the restaurant closes at 2 am. We wanted to get two samosa chats but we were told that you can only order biryani because we are closing. We confronted the cashier that if the restaurant closes at 2 am then how can they shut down the whole menu 40 mins before closing. On asking this question they started arguing with us and we even spoke to the manager and he said the same thing. There were other customers who complained about the same issue. After the argument we waited for our food and we saw the manager literally frying samosas after just 2 minutes of the argument. When we communicated how we felt, the cashier threatened us that they would call the police. This is highly unusual and unlikely for a restaurant. NEVER AGAIN!!! If you want rude servers and poor customer service, feel free to visit this place
Ive been a loyal customer of the dosa and roti place for quite some time, but my recent visit left me extremely disappointed. The service was shockingly poor, and whats even more frustrating is that they refused to serve anything after 1:20, despite the restaurants official closing time being 2. This abrupt cutoff in service is unacceptable. To make matters worse, they only offered us chicken biryani and claimed that everything else was sold out. This is highly unusual considering my regular visits where I could enjoy a variety of dishes. I hope the management takes this feedback seriously and addresses these issues promptly, as it has certainly tarnished my opinion of a place I used to enjoy so much. I would never be there again The person in the front was wearing yellow t shirt And also argued with us and other than that there were some more customers sitting there facing the same issue
Way too expensive for the amount and quality of food.
Most poor food quality, we had ordered food via uber eats from oshawa location and there was flies in sambhar, when we called resturant they were not ready to accept it and spoke very rudely
It was a better place 3 months ago. Sambhar quantity which comes with Dosa is reduced to 1/5th. The Nariyal chutney is also watery now a days. You guys need to come back to the quality and quantity it was back in April- May. Wont be visiting again if things dont change.
Really bad experience with the takeout order from this specific location. I have ordered earlier from this location and many other locations in Scarborough and it was always great but this time the chutneys with the dosa were watery and even Sambar was too watery. I called back to the store and Gave them the feedback. The guy said the manager will call in 10 minutes. It s been two hours and nobody called and then they stopped picking up the phone. I would say big NO to this place.
Dosa was good and sambar as well
Ordered the butter masal dosa and it was massive!!! Super thin and crispy, decent amount of potato filling, could do with a bit more since there was so much dosa. Really impressed, will definitely be back
I am happy to recommend this place to anyone who is craving for indian dishes. As a masala dosa lover this location was a true saviour. Though a bit over priced, the quantity was more. Food
Had dinner over there and we were really satisfied by the end. Had dum biryani and mysoor dosa and will Definitely recommend it to my friends. Its a really good place to experience authentic south indian taste and have good interior as well. Jibin, their chef was really sweet and provided us with most generous service. Thanks to the girl over the cash counter as well, seemed really polite and welcomed us with warm smile.
Food is consistently delicious and friendly staff.
Wonderful Masala dosa and idli vada combo and also with a cute ambience
Really loved the Lamb biryani and Soldier s chicken. I will have to try their roti and dosas but that s for another day.
Great comfort food place that I would recommend everyone to try. Their paneer bhurji dosa is to die for.
This place has good space to sit and eat. Very friendly service. Great food, great quality, and quantity. Good vegetarian menu.
Coworker and I share the same experience here. First off during a lunch rush its not fair to have one employee working. We ordered dosas and they were not good. The pizza box they came in stunk horribly. The food itself was not very good, evident that we both needed the washroom shortly after. The cleanliness of the kitchen was probably an issue but than again 1 guy doing 10 things isnt ideal.
Food options were great but taste wise it was not authentic, dahi was missing in dahi wada, and it was bitter too.
Great taste. I ve been there a few times and never had a bad experience. Highly recommended

Potato in paneer
Best chai
Disappointed with the food served at Oshawa Location, biryani looked stale and tasted the same. No flavour in rice and no masala at all.
THEY ARE SO CHEAP TO CHARGE FOR SAMBAR (Yes, you read it right), THEY CHARGE EXTRA TO SERVE SAMBAR WITH DOSA. ALSO THE TEAM LEAD AND OTHER STAFF COMMUNICATE WITH EACH OTHER IN SOUTH INDIAN LANGUAGE TO INSULT CUSTOMERS AT THE BILLING. THEY DISCUSS AND JOKE ABOUT CUSTOMERS IN THEIR LANGUAGE. My name is Priya and this is my detailed review. I recently had the misfortune of dining at My Roti Place/My Dosa Place, and I am compelled to pen down my culinary calamity for the benefit of unsuspecting diners. In all honesty, if I could give this establishment zero star, I would do so with great enthusiasm. To begin with, the much-touted disability services at My Roti Place/My Dosa Place were akin to a circus tightrope a precarious journey with no safety net in sight. Its clear that the concept of Customer service is as foreign to them as gourmet cuisine. Now, lets delve into the heart of this gastronomic tragedy the teams (Sudhir) behavior . Imagine a Shakespearean drama where arrogance and indifference take center stage. The owners attitude was the epitome of a disdainful puppet master orchestrating a pitiful display of cheap theatrics. Bravo, but not really. Adding insult to injury (quite literally, in this case), my displeasure was met with a performance that would make the Bard himself cringe The Worst Behaved Billing and Cooking Team in the Culinary World strikes again. But heres the kicker at My Roti Place / My Dosa Place, they not only serve subpar food but also have the audacity to charge for sambar. Yes, you read that right a restaurant so cheap that they nickel and dime you for the very essence of South Indian cuisine. Its the culinary equivalent of highway robbery. In conclusion, consider this a gastronomic PSA: Avoid My Roti Place / My Dosa Place at all costs. Your taste buds, your sanity, and your wallet deserve better. There are plenty of dining establishments that appreciate their patrons and dont view sambar as an extra source of income. Bon appétit anywhere but My Roti Place / My Dosa Place.
Ordered aaloo prantha, bad in taste
Amazing place! Soft idli and crispy crunchy dosa! Strongly recommend. Enjoyed podi masala dosa too.
