I ordered the steamed fish with two sides (fried plantains and salt fish fritters) and it was a great, flavourful lunch! It fed 3 people without a hitch. The steamed fish went really well with provisions. I wish I had bought more so I could have leftovers! The staff were super kind and explained to me the best way to reheat the food at home. Now I want to go try other food there! Highly recommend this place.
I really liked the service and the staff are lovely. Had the curry goat and jerk chicken. The portions are generous and tasty. However it's not spicy at all which you would expect from Jamaican food but apparently not as popular so I understand why they make it that way. You can get spice on the side though which I didn't realize so I suggest you ask the staff to make it spicy.
The nicest and most welcoming ladies, amazing food you can taste it’s made with love. Massive portions. I ordered 2 orders (oxtail & jerk chicken) which has lasted me 5 meals. Can’t wait to try more :)
My husband and 2 of my children had the pleasure of ordering from Reggae Food Spot. With previous reviews raving about the oxtail it was only fitting for us to try it out. We ordered a large oxtail to share and for the kids, they just wanted a patty and coco bread. Everything was delicious, the oxtail fell right off the bone and you can just taste the love it was made with. The kids really enjoyed their patties and coco bread and when we walked away they were like mommy she's nice. So thank you for your kind services the food and service was amazing. We will be back soon!

Best Jamaican food outside of Jamaica!
The food was amazing I ordered 2 jerk pork stuffed beef patties and they were amazing, very flavourful well portion and decent prices. The service was impeccable as well very friendly would recommend definitely a go to weekend spot

I was craving oxtail and curry, and after seeing this spot had a 5* rating we traveled to these fine ladies...and let me tell you something...this vincy is some glad he did. Momma and big sis Ill call them made the experience so warm. You can taste the love in the food! Festival and bakes were just like my Nanna makes, pig tail red pea soup was over the top, the patties were flaky and right amount a spice, I want to tell you the ox tail and curry chicken are terrible in a hopes theres more for my next visit....but not me and Dat man, cant tell yuh lies the Flava was off the charts. Coco bread and plantain, penut punch, banana drink and champagne kolas to wash it down. The hospitality was unreal, momma went out of her way to treat my son to a patty and me the pea soup on the house... It felt like I was having Sunday dinner at my nanas whose not well at the moment...so this act of kindness, these ladies spirit and this quality of food made me smile the whole time.. avoid mto weigh spots if traveling with their portions they sure ta put yuh over de scales!!! Will go back again and again Bless up these ladies

As soon as we walking into the Oshawa Markets we could smell Reggae spot. The ladies there were so nice. Had the friendliest smiles and great service. The portions are a good size and they load up the containers to the top. The prices are good for what you re getting. Stew chicken was falling off the bone was so nice and the oxtail was good too. Tasted like a nice home cooked meal
Tried Reggae Food Spot for the first time today. I will definitely be coming back! I got the small jerk chicken meal and coco bread. The portion was great lots of rice and peas, chicken and ox tail gravy. Tasty with perfect flavour and spice. The coleslaw had garlic in it was unexpected but delicious and a perfect side. Everyone was friendly and answered my questions about the menu.

An absolutely stupendous Caribbean spot. This little place inside Oshawa Markets is a comfort food dream. I had the opportunity to try the Curry chicken with rice & peas, the jerk oxtail, and the Jamaican patties. All of it was some of the very best treats Ive had in years. I could rant all day on how tasty, and flavourful the Curry is. 1000% worth trying! And the oxtail was superb. The coup de Gras was the patties. Home made crust and the beef filling was incredible. 1800 out of 10 stars. :) Please give this place a try. You wont be disappointed. :) Thank you for an absolutely wonderful meal. We will be back next weekend!!! :)
Was in the food court and looked over at the couple next to me eating the curry goat on rice n peas and just had to get an order to try for myself. Ordered the goat only and had it at home with rice and this did not disappoint. Will be back for sure. This is a proper gravy, not water and not oil.

My husband and I visited Reggae SPOT at the Oshawa Markets yesterday afternoon for the first time and we were extremely happy that we did. Arlene, I believe thats her name from other reviews, is an absolute delight to deal with and the food was delicious. Customer Service is excellent, food is excellent(she even gave us a taste first) and we will DEFINITELY be back to try other dishes. My husband had the Stew Chicken and I had the Oxtail with Butter Beans, both dishes with Rice and Peas . The Coleslaw was also a HUGE hit with us . Im literally still eating my food and I had to give Mrs Arlene a five star review. She was very pleasant and the food speaks for itsef. You can never have too much gravy. The food tastes amazing and I was pleased to see her portions were very generous too. I dont live close but I will 100% be back. Im very picky with my food and I dont have one complaint. Went here with my fiancee with the intent of trying something new(got the oxtail) absolutely delicious, amazing owner, you can tell the pride and love she has in the food and small details like wiping the box of any sauce spillage. Highly recommend if you are in the area! Will be a regular!!

Just had some great food. I have oxtail with rice and peas and gravy over the rice. My wife had jerk chicken with rice and peas and gravy also. The food tasted great will go back there again.

Specifically went to the Oshawa Market to try the food from the Reggae Food Spot. I am angry at myself for not coming here sooner! Got Oxtail with rice & peas and coleslaw, a side of plantain, a spicy patty and mild patty along with coco bread. Lord have Mercy!!!!! It was all so good. Oxtail just falls of the bone, rice and peas are just the way I prefer (not spicy), the coleslaw was amazing. My favorite was the meat patties - I am wondering if they are home made.....that buttery flaky pastry is superb! Everything was top notch and well priced - will definitely be back.
The lady there was so nice. I originally wanted fries and wings but, it was out of order so she suggested the oxtail mixed with rice and beans something thats not so typical Canadian. She showed me the oxtail and it smelled really good so I took her recommendation and I actually really liked it.

Today was my 1st time at this spot but it certainly will not be my last. While waiting my turn I noticed how the lady behind the counter cleaned after each customer, removed her gloves washed her hands and put on a new pair. There were two people in front of me and it didn t take long before I was served. The smell when the lady lifted the lids make my mouth water . Everything looks sooo good! I think the lady said her name name was Arlene, well Arlene as soon as I got home I took out the fork because I couldn t wait for supper oh lord that is some good curry chicken with rice and beans! See you again Arlene.
Enjoyed a meal today with my family, the food was delicious, moms home cooking authentic jerk chicken was excellent cant wait to order there again, next time will be the ox tail & stew chicken. The paties were also awesome.

The customer service was definitely on point!! I ve had my fair share of oxtail and I find a lot of places super sweet- I asked if the oxtail was sweet and was given a sample without question immediately. The minute I tasted the oxtail it was absolute perfection melted in your mouth, it just kept getting better and better with every bite! the best oxtail I have had in my life! Very tasty and excellent portions To the sweet lady who was outstanding behind the counter, that s what you call customer service, Job well done! First time trying this place out and definitely not our last!
