edit: i just tried to call at 8:45pm and they wouldnt pick up so i drove over and because I was literally there at 9 pm they wouldnt take my order and they close at 9:30pm. so I suggest dont try this place within an hour of close time they just dont wanna serve you at that point. Do not buy your chicken from here. Out of the 20 pieces that we ordered half of it was small chicken back which is literally a scrap with no meat. Never seen any restaurant serving these pieces. Not worth at all. Ajax ban ban is much better, very disappointed with this location. Do not recommend

I thought it was a Korean restaurant... I was so surprised when I tasted the seasoned chicken, and I was surprised again by the smell of the fried oil... I was really hit by the unique rosé... Just...I decided to eat Korean food at Ajax.

So good. Each piece of chicken is huge and juicy and crispy and delicious. Fries are also perfectly crispy. Takes a while from when you order to being ready but worth the wait, imo! Picture is of 5 pieces of boneless chicken with yangnyeom sauce.

The Creamy Tteok-bokki was very tasty but I found that the portion was a bit small for $18.

The chicken here is awesome . We order both the bone in and boneless bites. We always order takeout from here and pick up on our way home from work. Not too sure how the dine in experience would be but employees are always pleasant when we pick up our food.

The food was good and flavourful but portions are small. It looked like they cut the chicken so that what would normally be 1 piece was 2 pieces. Parking: Free parking on the weekend and I believe after 6 pm on weekdays.

Don t know when I ve last walked out of a restaurant feeling this terrible about the food and service. I ve been to the Ajax location a few times and would recommend. However the Oshawa location was a huge disappointment. Food: Ordered Korean Noodles which I ve had before at the Ajax location. Couldn t be more disappointed, was watery, tasteless, bland and a 5 year old could have made it better. I wouldn t have paid even $3 for this $13 priced item. Price on the menu and price when ringing it in was different but I was advised when ordering so okay. Service: Was not asked once if the food was okay or if I needed anything else. I was the only one in the restaurant so it s not like they were busy. The staff was sitting at a table on their phone or having lunch. Understandably may have been on a lunch break but having no one check in even once is very disappointing. Table was dirty and sticky and so were the floors. I could feel the stickiness of floors when walking. The fork they provided was also sticky at the handle.

I had a chibap which is bonless chicken + rice with mayo. I ordered spicy chilli flavor which is not too bad but the chicken was not that great. The batter was crispy but some of them are a bit hard and wonder it was previously deep fried. I ordered extra meat because I like Korean chicken but it was a bit too much and at the end, I felt a bit sick of eating the fried chicken from the grease. The salad was good and fresh but the chicken is a bit disappointing for the price. Overall not bad but I would take advantage of lunch special. I realized that they have a lunch special menu after ordering chibap...

Was there today, Aug 1 2023 for the soft opening. Service was great, cleanliness was great. The food? Absolutely loved it, we got the spicy, very flavorful with a nice heat kick. Will definitely be back many more times. My new go to for spicy chicken. Highly recommend.

Just went here with my mum a few hours ago and the place is definitely worth going back to! All of dishes we ordered were made to perfection, these dishes are The Cheese Corn, K-Old School Chicken, Rosé Teokbokki and some fresh fries. The cheese corn was delicious, its savory, cheesy,sweet and buttery but it isnt too salty so it light. The K-Old School is a crispy battered fried chicken that you dip into a lil bit of salt & pepper, to which one of the servers informed us that its quite popular to eat chicken like this back in Korea. The chicken was very crispy and still juicy! The meat and the batter were honestly so good that you dont even need the addition of salt & pepper to enjoy it. I highly recommend this one if youre not big on sauce or you enjoy a lighter meal. The Rosé Teokbokki was so good It had a hint of spice but it works very well since its also bit of a sweetness! The dish has broccoli, bacon, onion and definitely some cheese within a creamy thick redish-orange sauce (which you could also totally dip your fries/chicken into the leftover sauce ) The fries were crispy on the outside and fluffy in the centre and they werent greasy or salty however I think we couldve done without the fries this time around lol. With drinks the whole meal was under $60 for the 2 of us but we totally couldve had a 3rd with us. Overall I think the prices are very fair and it genuinely nice to have a Korean restaurant here! The staff are so kind and caring they really do put forth an effort to ensure they are serving you and feeding you well! Everytime a new dish was served to us our server gave a brief talk and showed sincere hope that we would enjoy their dishes. Im happy to say the meal in its entirety was delicious and I have no complaints even in the slightest. Im sure theyll be happy to answer any further questions you have about their menu but I hope many people will come to try and love this location! My only other comment is that Gee Gee by Girls Generarion was playing on the back TV in their dinning area and although I love the song and group very much I just hope to see more music videos playing since it was just an insider vid on BTS and Gee Gee on loop I got a kick out of this and found it funny but I do worry someone may get a little overwhelmed by it so maybe add some more songs; Id love to hear more old school music too one day! Ill be happy to return to this location again and become some what of a regular when possible Thank you for your service

Their food is amazing with reasonable prices and good quality. I got the special Ban Ban with Soy Garlic and Yangyeom. The Soy has a nice kick of spice, and the Yangyeom has a good sweet taste. Their Rosé tteokbokki is extremely delicious, I can see why its very popular. Would definitely come again.

We waited for over an hour and multiple people who came after us got their food before us. We didn t end up getting our food and left the place hungry!

Went for lunch. We were seated and told to look over the menu and when we had decided to get up and get one of the waitresses. Poor customer service but whatever. Then we were told the items the majority wanted was not prepared/in stock. Little shocking since they had been open a few weeks and such a tiny menu. While deciding again after being told the item wasn t in stock the waitress came to inform us that we would be charged an 18 percent gratuity due to a party of 6. Normal practice for many places but our 6th was a baby under 1 Immediately walked out. Poor service, limited menu missing items and a forced gratuity due to a baby. Never will be back.

Bone in chicken Yangnyeom was so good and the staff or the food servers were so nice to their customers and always smiling every time people come in to the resto. The service at this location is absolutely terrible. They got my order wrong twice and had me wait 25 minutes for my order after I ordered ahead for a specific time. Honestly speaking, food tastes great but I think service could use A LOT of improvement. Super disappointed as I was looking forward to BANBAN opening in Oshawa.

The food is nice, friendly staff. The only setback is that it s a bit pricy. Check your receipt properly - we were charged 18% gratuity automatically, on top of the service charge we paid, but they reverted it after addressing it with them.

We had a takeaway order of the mixed pack. Service is good, reasonably priced, and the chicken is definitely a must try. I heard they are waiting for the license.. Then soju will follow. Cant wait for it. My daughter loves the original flavor, and we love the spicy one. The pickled radish is good too.

Went here after hearing amazing things about the Ajax location and was so happy that theres now one even closer! The staff were beyond friendly and helpful and the service was fast. The food itself was absolutely delicious, Ive had Korean fried chicken before and this is up there with the best. The cheese corn was the best Ive ever had and the rose teokbokki was delicious. Overall it was a fantastic experience and I cant wait to both go back and tell everyone I know about it.

Ordered this burger combo at ban ban while sitting in. They told me the combo doesn t come with a pop. It clearly says it does, and they said I only get a pop if I get take out. Seems like a bad business model but explains why their dining room is so empty on one of the busiest days in downtown oshawa. We decided to do take out and saved on having to tip them plus I got 2 pops, so I guess that was a win for me? Food was ok, my burger wasn t as hot as I d expect after waiting for 20 minutes and it had a ton of breading. The meat also had one small spot that was really chewy almost a wood texture, don t know what it was. The boneless chicken was ok as well, this was actually hot. Can t compete with Popeyes chicken burger or tenders though, not a chance. Overall including service 2 stars Food alone 3 stars. This place is largely overhyped

The Chicken is The service We went on Friday evening and the staff were swamped with takeout orders so there was 20+ min gap between 2nd & 3rd item. The lady also forgot to bring the extra sauce with the chicken and finally brought it as we were finishing up. That was very disappointing but she did apologize for the delays, might do a takeout next time

Tried them out for their lunch special believe between 11:30-2pm or something. 13.99 chicken burger combo is pretty good however they use dark meat and the batter kind of was messy with the sauce. Also ordered the boneless fried chicken but it was disappointing. They also include fresh fried Costco type fries with the combo so not bad. The only issue I found was the pop they give you was like room temperature, not sure if they don t want to give cold drinks to go but that s the only issue.

Chicken- meets expectation. They really need to rework on the pickled radish - which is a key point to determine the quality. The radish was mushy, weird texture for this reason I wouldn t go back by the way i am Korean so have tasted so many different types of K-chicken

Love BanBan in Ajax We ordered last night from the oshawa location; the chicken we got two orders; had 4 pieces of back bone with NO meat on it $23.00 +tax per order and only 15 pieces had meat on it NOT happy the Rose Tebokbokki had a big chunck or random chicken in it May take the drive to Ajax

This is the OG location in Oshawa. The prices are very reasonable for the amount of food you get. If you can handle spice, make sure to order the chilli one that was my favourite flavour. Wish they had side dishes that you could eat with the chicken like rice or bread just to elevate the dish. They also dont sell beer, which was disappointing as it would have paired nice with the chicken

So happy to see KFC (Korean Fried Chicken) in Oshawa downtown!!! Their chicken is soooooo gooood AND portion size for BanBan chicken is good too. Id say one order of BanBan chicken will comfortably feed 3 adults just fine. See my picture. Thats one order of BanBan chicken. They also have kids menu (picture included on my review). They also got other Korean food like ddeokbokki. This is now favourite place.

Chicken is on point plus the staff were very nice.

They serve Halal chicken, and they should highlight it more attract the Muslim population. The place is good, and parking is not an issue. We ordered clean Toekbokki , honey garlic fried chicken, and spicy chili. Honey garlic was too sweet. Spicy is a bit spicy, but cream Toekbokki was good.

Bone in chicken yangnyeom was incredible, staff are caring and kind
