Tahini’s in Oshawa

I usually love tahinis but this time there was v less sauces making it almost just rice and chicken and I m really disappointed. Do better.

I tried tahinis on Ritson Extremely disappointing. I dont like to throw out food but I had to ask i could not eat it. The chicken was all cartilage and the portion was ridiculously small.The best Tahinis is the Courtice location.What a waste of $15.00 Sorry but hope you take the feedback constructively so you can improve and not waste peoples money

tried it for the first time today. its ok, the sauces are pretty yummy but i found the sauce to be lacking even though i ordered extra and the meat has a lot of fat and cartilage on it (which i know some people like just not me). will probably stick to osmows for a shawarma chain

We ordered a few Shawarmas and a Maya Salad. Shawarma meat was served cold as we dined it. The bread itself was chewy unlike Osmows or Shelbys. Salad was horrible for $12, absolutely disgusting.

Ate in, had difficulty hearing the cashier as I placed my order and I think she had difficulty hearing me. Ate in, food took quite a long time to be prepared and was only barely warm. The washroom needed attention and when I told the ladies behind the counter as I picked up my food they just shrugged their shoulders.

Initial thought.. Tahini as a brand is worth trying. Food was just average. We were served better Poutine in Costco than Tahini. It was double the salt and just too average. We also ordered Pita bread. Instead of serving on a plate, we were given 2 pita breads in a polythene bag to eat. Highly unprofessional and disrespectful. Not sure if we will ever visit this location again. Karan and Kabir were just too tired with absolutely no smiles on their faces. Not welcoming. Not Recommended.

I ordered chicken salad and there was not enough chicken in it. Maybe a few pieces. I ate literally normal salad without chicken. My husband ordered chicken shawarma plate and it was good.

Wrap was lose and had too much sauce. Saj bread and chicken tasted stale.

I am changing my 5 star review to maybe zero if I had option! The Jamaican Jerk chicken was cold , rice were stale and pineapples were missing! I use to love this place but now it s just the opposite. Won t recommend it to anyone

Ordered a chicken shawarma wrap because the cashier indicated the gyro was frozen. After waiting about 15 minutes I got my wrap -not packaged securely to go very dry and over-cooked chicken, not flavourful, wrapped in a dry and crumbly pita. Waste of money I used to love Tahinis.

I got falafel wraps delivered today from this place and got large size. This thing was huge! I dont know if it was an error, Ill try again in the future, but if its consistent to what I got today, this place will become my go to place!! The wrap itself was delicious and I normally eat very slow. But today, I couldnt stop a beat while eating. If its not the same size in the future it will still be worth it and this review will be updated.

I recently visited this location and requested the Shawn Special after being informed by the staff that it included both rice and fries, unlike the Habibi Bowl. However, when I got home, I discovered there were no fries just rice. After some research, I found out that the Shawn Special is no longer on the menu and has been replaced by the Shawn Bowl. Additionally, there was only one staff member handling both orders and food preparation during peak dinner time. I hope they address these issues to improve the overall experience. We are ordered chicken shawarma but there is no chicken just a few pieces and all of that salad and fries

Foods good. Their baklava fell off tho. The baklava used to be very syrupy and sweet but now its just pretty bland and dry. But I dont mind everything else so its still a good restaurant.

I had a bad experience in this location to a guy named Kabir on Saturday, he had a bad attitude to every customer that around that time, when I asked him can you cut the wrap in half, he was giving bad looks and cursing the food while cutting and clamouring things really loud, I don t normally write bad reviews but this one was a lot to take in !!! Tell that guy to change his attitude , you ll lose customers like this!!! Bye never to this location again

The food is absolutely delicious, but the service is bad, I won t be going to this location again. The older woman took 20 mins to make me one chicken shawarma, when no one else was in the store, I swear because I didn t tip.

I ordered through Uber eats, I paid extra to add feta, didn t receive feta, and my lettuce was brown and cucumbers were soggy. I was very un impressed considering I spent $20 with Uber eats. This so also the second time eating at the restaurant. The first time my falafels were burnt . I wanted to give it another chance. Sure enough I was disappointed again. I will never go back!

Absolute nastiest food you can have . Don t buy from this place. They don t know how to make good wraps. I asked for the beef lamb gyro- disgusting !!!!! I told them to put extra lettuce instead of onions and tomatoes cause I can t eat those and they added a WHOLE lot of meat instead and a string of lettuce which was barely visible . It was so overly meaty- I wanted to throw up. On top of that, they added cheap hot sauce and there was no flavour. I rad the reviews beforehand was skeptic but still went . But never again. No wonder they are doing so poorly and the reviews are bad . They hire some young students in there that have no idea how to cook. Don t go here if you want nice food. Nasty!!!!!

The quantity of chicken that they put in has decreased substantially. Earlier, the regular size was quite large with lot of rice and chicken. Now, they have drastically reduced the amount of chicken. Would not recommend Tahinis especially the one at Ritson Road. You could get better quality and quantity of chicken on rice in other restaurants. Also make sure they have put in everything that you ordered.

I ordered online and it was supposed to be ready at 6:55 from 204 Ritson N location. I arrived on time and they tell me it will take another 5 minutes. There was a lady infront of me who after a long wait asked the guy if the food will take longer and he told her another 5 minutes. She told him that she waited for 15 minutes already. He told her if you dont like it you can leave. This is when I was furious with the attitude from the server. I had to wait for 20 minutes too. This is not a way to treat customers, especially when you order a pickup the restaurant is telling you the food will be ready at a certain time. I told the guy this is not a way to treat the customers and he is giving a bad reputation for the cuisine. I think the staff need a lot of training, not only on how they should treat customers, but how to make the food. My fries were put in the fryer after my three sandwiches were fully made. So I had to wait longer to get the fries.

I order Jamaican chicken rice with skip to eat as iftar but its smelly, taste totally stale. May be 1-2days old food. Now I have to throw it in dusbin. If possibIe I could give them minus star. I will report this to food and safety board to inspect them.

Unpleasant Experience with Dishonest Staff We recently visited this restaurant and had a disappointing experience. The staff claimed that menu prices had changed from what was displayed on the screen, leading to unexpected charges. Shockingly, we witnessed a customer being threatened and asked to leave after complaining about the quality of his food. I strongly recommend the management to conduct an immediate audit of their staff to address such issues and salvage the business from such rude behavior.

Stepped into Tahinis as in the past, we have had pleasant experiences in Scarborough, Vaughn, etc. We were quite surprised to find this one completely empty as weve always lined up in other branches. Anyways, we proceeded with placing our order and picked Kafta large plate and Shawarma wrap. We were told regular came with 2 kaftas and large came with 3. We picked for the large size. We sit in the diner waiting for our turn when the server who took our order approaches us. He mentions hes new and wasnt aware of the fact that the rates displaying on the screen were old and as per the new change...large comes with 2 instead of 3 kaftas. My husband was upset, but I asked him to let it go as it seemed like an honest mistake. The shawarma was below average, dry meat, khubs bread was chewy, and the kaftas were literally questionable interms of taste and quality. As we were stepping out, we saw a customer complaining that the food he received was unsatisfactory and he wanted to speak to the manager bout it. One of the servers literally lost his mind and started yelling at the customer charging on the customer saying that If you like the foood you eat, if you dont like it then throw it but dont come to us saying our food is not good! By this time there were 5 more people in the restaurant and all of us were shocked ! The server was extremely frustrated and irritated at his job. I honestly dont get it...why do you work when you hate what youre doing? Zero customer service. The customer was handling the matter very well so none interfered, but boy...that was embarrassing to encounter. Never ever stepping into this place again. Well, they wouldnt care either as thats what was told on that customers face! SO WELL...

Just left with a $15 chicken poutine. Get it hone to find huge chunks of clear gelatinous material covering the food. The gravy looked like it had been sitting out for 2 days. Never again. The chicken looked good, but I wasnt digging through clear slime to get to it.

Worst service en Oshawa!! They took forever to make my order even toogh the store was practically empty. I never leave bad reviews but I just had the food and it was really bad. The tomato in the salad was completely rotten, the chicken was extremely dry, nothing tasted like a regular shawarma bowl. Ive had tahinis before at other locations and liked it.

So i had the best shawarma today in Tahinis s that is jamaican jerk i was here for the first time and i really enjoyed my sandwich the staff was very polite and the guy was really efficient. i got my food in no time and no compromise in quality. I highly recommend this place to everyone.

Nice spot to dine and have some decent shawarma, but the highlight was the service provided by a good man named Angad who was treat to talk to and served me and my friends well.

I won t be back. Definitely avoid it.

Very slow while waiting to receive my order. Ordered a Maya salad bowl that I was charged 5$ more for than what is on the menu. Asked what toppings I d like on the salad and was charged for those too without being told the are .50 per topping. I was also charged for toppings that are advertised on bowl.

First time trying this location. Generally they have tasty food and a great selection to choose from. The jerk chicken was delicious. Their poutine us also is amazing. I really like this place and their dishes. The chicken was cooked perfectly. They really listen to what you order and we had 6 people in our party.

Just one suggestion for the owners. Please dont over wrap the shawarma, the extra pita layer is like rubber when trying to take one bite, and everything falls out. It also shows your saj pitas are not always fresh. Thanks.

Ordered at 1:45pm. At 1:57 I went up to see what was going on. Find out they tossed my order slip in the trash so it never got started. There were 3 other people in the restaurant who were already eating and no orders before me. I try to give local restaurants a shot since recently moved to the area. Im going to go ahead and pass on this place indefinitely. Your experience may be better, I dont know. 2:03 I got the order. No apologies or anything.

The food was awesome, more than I expected, Ill come here again, I saw theres one guy who added a review of getting the order late cuz his receipt was mistakenly thrown in the garbage, nd im guessing that he only added the review of his order being delayed named by the name plus bones but he also added that he didnt got apologies for that, i was standing right beside him, the guy actually apologized maybe he didnt listen, but Im sure he liked the food and he will definitely come back next time wearing some other dress just to not get recognized, as he looked willing to eat the wrap again I saw him eating wrap in the parking very gladly like a child with Tahini dripping from side of his mouth.

Great place for shawarma , food is fresh fast and made to order. Extensive menu. They have gyros, shawarma butter chicken , and jerk chicken as wraps or bowls.

We ordered more than $110 and had 2 fries in the order when we got to the store they said they are running out of fries and they offered a soup. The fries were for my kids they didnt want the soup. How a big shawarma store is running out of fries on a weekend ? Very poor management and the food was also cold at least 2 of the wraps and 2 of the wraps had wrong toppings so totally waste of money and disappointment!!

After my son ordered, the employee told us we could have how the gyro comes or customized. We answered and she didnt seem to accept our answer easily. Too simple I guess... When she came around the counter her shirt and pants were highly filthy. While my son was eating, I noticed the can of aerosol bug spray on top of the soda fridge . Fix your Uber Eat title - I had to drive 30 mins to because you call yourself North Oshawa Location!!! So frustrating and now your wrap taste bad coz it is cold and going to garbage.

I ordered their Ramadan Special, a Shawarma bowl with rice + 2 somosa + lentil soup. The meal tasted really good and the portions were great for the price. Really recommend trying it out. I know I will come again,In Sha Allah. P. S. The food packaging was one of the best I have seen around.

They are slow as like crazy like there were just 4 people infront of me with 4 wraps and fries and thats all still i had to wait like 30 min for my one habib bowl they really need to improve their customer services and wait time. I tried to call the store to place a pick up order however there is no one to pick up the call. They really need to work on their wait time.

Honestly do not order large it s all BREAD! Not with a single penny if you ask me I would advise to avoid this entire chain and go to Lazee*** atleast you get taste and decent food but this place is to cry about 35$ for two shawarma s and it was all bread no fresh veggies no taste. Again AVOID this place at all cost.

Your shawarma wraps are more wrap then ingredients! I have been at this restaurant 3 times and I will not be spending my money there again! There is more bread wrap then ingredients! Minimal meat and veggies and therefore I WILL NEVER buy anything from this store again! The chicken in my wrap was hard. As I ate it it felt like I had boned chicken in my mouth which was disgusting as it was just extremely dried out chicken! Never again will I eat here!

Dishonest staff. We were lied and as a result, we will never buy from this establishment again. Before ordering, we specifically asked if the chicken served was white meat or contained dark meat. We were told that we would receive white meat, and thus we proceeded to order. Only upon getting home did we realize that we were not served a single piece of white meat. Totally uncalled for. We would have happily ordered vegetarian if we were advised that the meat was not white meat as we were told. Never again.

This rating is solely based on the website. Looks organized and well designed but what a useless garbage dump. Why would you make it so you cant remove items from the checkout? Oh and why the hell cant you go back a page 90% of the time? And the 10% of the time you can it sends you right back to main screen kicking you out of the ordering menu. Rediculous! Since i have never eaten here and as i said the website is a giant mess Im now going to have to go in to order and wait i really hope the food is better than the website.

I ordered a small Blueberry Flame Chicken Schwarma - DELICIOUS! Service was quick, and curious. I will definitely be going back.

This Tahinis is extremely dirty. We ordered take out and in the middle of eating the food found a dead fly right in it. I do not recommend either of the restaurants that are located on Oshawa as theyre both unsanitary and delivery poor service.

I am a professional chef who has moved here from Toronto recently and I have tried many shawarma spots and both my wife and I absolutely loved Tahinis. We found the saj bread and toppings to be very fresh, the falafels and gyro were extremely tasty. We found the portions were good as well. Friendly staff and nice establishment. I would say give them a try!!

This is one of those where I wish 0 stars was possible. I came in at 9:56 pm on national shawarma day (Oct 15) and the staff was busy making other orders so kept me waiting 5 mins or so. He served me just after 10 pm and when he came to take my order, he states the $5 shawarma deal is no longer valid. This makes no sense. It s still October 15 and the social media posts have said nothing about a 10 pm limit. I drove 15 mins to the restaurant and couldn t even get the deal due to the failure of proper advertising. Really disappointing.

Amazing food, ordered chicken wrap and butter chicken bowl. Those were amazing, tasted extremely good. Will come back to explore other items too.

We ordered 5 shawarmas but the order arrived with only 4. Then we ordered 1 shawarma again . Not happy

Unfotunaltey if you order through Tahinis online website they overcharge you even when you physically pick it up. I payed $71.99 online when in store it was only 59.99. Just be warned.

If I could give ZERO STARS to this location then I would happily give, I spent over $50 for 2 wraps and 1 shawarma plate, chkn was amazingly stale no taste , chewing saj bread was like taking a bite from a tire thts how rubbery was the bread, I asked the lady for some ketchup and utensils and to my surprise they didnt have any stock SHOCKING! and she wasnt even apologetic, the attitude was like take it or leave it! Everyone pls FIND another spot to eat.

I had very bad experience the food wasnt cooked well and the chicken were in big pieces they simply dumped everything in a bowl and bring to us.

Went here sat with my son & his friend. We order (3) chicken shawarma s but zero chicken unless you call a few shreds of chicken grits chicken!!! Very disappointing! I guess it s back to tried & true osmow s!!
