Had some really fresh pints of Stella and and an awesome burger! Bartenders know what theyre doing and the atmosphere is how a pub should be! No complaints only gratitude.

There was a hair in my food and I got no apologies or compensation. I was not looking for a free meal but the burger should have been taken off my bill.

Really disappointing experience. Bulldog was generally my go to for wings, but the quality has gone down. I ordered the kids menu cheese pizza, 1 lb of wings and fries, and my friend ordered 1 lb of wings and fries. When I asked to make my fries a poutine, the waitress immediately got aggressive, saying I absolutely cannot do that and I d have to order them separately ($12 for a poutine; no thanks) I m not sure why she was so angry about it. Maybe she gets asked all the time and is sick of it? Not sure, but it scared my friend off asking for onion rings. She was a very attentive server for the rest of the night. The food came out, and we were pretty shocked at the portion size, given the price. 5 tiny wings, a little over a handful of fries, and a small cup of gravy. The wings were ok, not much meat for either of us. The fries were good, gravy was ok but a bit watery. We both left hungry. I would ve ordered an appetizer, but I was sort of uncomfortable asking for another minute to look at the menu. The kids cheese pizza .. I wouldnt feed to my dog, let alone my child. Everything tasted fake and rubbery. My 1 y/o took one bite and spit it out, and threw the slice on the floor. When asked if I wanted a to-go box, I said no thank you, the pizza wasnt good. My son didnt like it. The waitress said ok, thats it. My son did eat the fries, so I wasnt expecting it to be comped. But not even an apology about it being bad, or an inquiry. Total for 1 kids pizza, 1 lb of wings and fries (keep in mind Ive never finished a lb of wings, these were tiny and we left hungry) a drink and a gravy- $40. $40 for an uneaten pizza, some fries, and a few tiny wings. Super disappointing!

Live around the corner. Stopped going over 2 yrs ago because service was brutal. Gave it another chance cause closest restaurant in snowstorm. Food always was and still is really good pub grub. Wings & fries were great. Goat cheese quesadilla was really good but too many tomatoes made it a bit wet & sloppy. Service couldnt have been better. Mackenzie was friendly, helpful & super fast & attentive. So happy to have a local were excited to go back too!!!

Being our first time there, we found the food and menu choices very good . We were there about 530pm and the atmosphere was pleasant social ,pub like not quiet as you normally expect as its not a restruant and a Saturday early pre eve. Waitress of course attentive as the eve proceeded atmosphere vibe shifted ,a few younger fellows in center tables started feeling good and getting louder ,then louder to where it interfered with comfort levels and the atmosphere surrounding areas at least it did us . For sure , As it was early still only about 630pm they were becoming pretty intoxicated and loud we finished up our birthday supper and departed it just became to loud at that point for comfort for our comfort .

This used to be my favorite place for drinks and food. Its evident that they have changed food vendors and the cook. The wings used to be big, fat, and juicy, served in a basket with fries. Now its cheap little wings like every other place. Food quality is gone. Staff is still amazing and friendly. The hours are reduced. Saturday, they are last calling at 1130. Too bad. This place used to have it all.

Its a great pub. I recently discovered it. The staff is super polite and helpful.

I just found out a MANDATORY 10% gratuity IS ADDED ON PICK UP orders, YES THATS CORRECT! You have to pay 10% TO PICK UP YOUR OWN ORDER!!! DONT ORDER HERE! Support other places! That DONT CHARGE customers for picking up an order. GROSS!

Food was good. 10% gratuity on a take out order will never happen again. We will not be back. Too bad we supported your business during covid and did take out often.

Great service

Found this little gem recently in our travels. The staff are very friendly and welcoming. So far we have only had appetizers and they were delicious, the food we saw being delivered to other tables looked very good so will try that soon. The prices for drinks are by far the most reasonable I have ever seen.

The Bulldog Pub is generally pretty busy in the evenings. We went on a Tuesday night (wing night), and just about everyone in the place was eating wings. I got an order of wings along with fish and chips. The fish was fried crispy on the outside but was a little soggy on the inside like the fish had maybe been frozen when they cooked it. The fries (chips) were a little soggy, but the wings with the Bulldog special house sauce were quite good and very reasonably priced. I think there was a reason everyone was eating wings. Atmosphere is pretty good, the place is clean, adequately lit, and looks kinda like an old English pub. However, it was quite noisy. The business group I was with almost had to shout to carry on a conversation. The service was good, we were waited on quickly and the food came out quickly. It was almost TOO good. Our waitress came to the table so often to ask how we were doing, if she could take things away or if we wanted something additional, that our conversation was interrupted regularly. We did have a good enough experience, since this place was very close to our hotel to come back the next night and eat here again.

Amazing wings and amazing service

My partner and I had heard decent reviews so we thought wed try. We walked in and waited several minutes to be seated as thats what the sign says. The bartender yelled at us to sit anywhere, which the regulars at the bar commented well I could have said that too and joked amongst themselves. We sat ourselves, and waited again. After 5 minutes of at the door waiting, then another 5 minutes waiting at the table with no menus or reassurance from the server/bartender that shed be by, we left. The bartender only paid attention to the folks at the bar rail, and I doubt she recognized we left. The only interaction that the server/bartender had with us in 10 minutes was her yelling across the restauraunt to seat ourselves. Pretty terrible service. Food might have been good, but we couldnt even get the server to our table for menus or even drinks. Will not recommend and wont be back.

Here for a surprise birthday for a friend, had our own private room and 2 servers that took care of us. Enjoyed my first time here and would come back again!

My husband and I had the best experience here. Food was the best I ve tasted in a very long time. Mussels were delicious fish n chips as good as we have tasted in Scotland and the daily special chicken curry was excellent. It was also served hot and quickly even tho it was a very busy time of nite. Staff was friendly Glad we stumbled upon this gem. Highly recommend.

Who knew, passed this place many times never gave it a second thought I mean its a Pub right. Well a friend told me he had occasion to have a meal with his wife and another couple and he told me this place has some tasty food. So fast forward my Pal and myself were in the area and I suggested we eat here. First off friendly attentive wait staff , my pal had the fish and chips he said it was very tasty. I had something that is not to everyones taste and very hard to get cooked right, can you guess what it was? Well I wont keep you in suspense it was Liver and Bacon and Onions (I can hear the groans now, ewww Liver) But let me tell you if you like Liver like I do ,and there are others trust me these folks make some Gooood Liver And as an added bonus the prices were excellent. Thank you Chef for a wonderful Meal.

Service was great, food was delicious. This is definitely a hidden gem. Ive meant to eat here many times and now I know what I was missing.

Stayed at the courtyard down the road for work Had the wrap and a salad the first night. it was so good, I came back a second time. The special was ribs and wings on Wednesday night! It was delicious!

The Mac and cheese was very runny. Would describe it best as mac with some cheese on top. Had the burger which was really good but I guess they must have run out of fries as I barely had a hand full on the plate

I ve really tried to love this place. I ve ordered a few times since new ownership took over but the food is just meh, portion size was small, if you want a pub to go to and drink beer and watch TV then this is the place. Just don t go expecting a good meal. It s busy which is great for them. Fries were good. Staff seems friendly.

Philly steak sandwiche isnt that great

We were so looking forward to celebrating our sons 19th birthday here. I booked reservation on March 27 at 3pm for 15 people for Friday March 31 at 7pm. Called them on March 31 let them know its now 12 people they had us down for 10 which was fine she corrected it. When we got there they said they had to get our table ready than told me they had me down for 6 people. I said no was originally 15 we advised down to 12. They than tell us that I didnt book cant find my name we have our 12 people waiting. It was taking to long to find us a table. We called chasers bar and grill they were out life saver thank goodness they took us. Very disappointed with bull dog for spoiling my sons nights very happy with chasers for helping us out. Will definitely go back to chasers what a great night we had

This is the BEST bang for your buck for great, quality pub food in the Oshawa area. The prices are PHENOMENAL and From the live entertainment on Thursdays to the Daily Specials, ( prime rib), I promise you ll leave already planning on when you re going to go back!!!

Wow! Found this place completely by accident, and so happy we did! My wife had the ribs & wings combo. I had the butter chicken with the curry chicken roll to start. So Good!

Amazing place, best poutine and wings ever!

Sad to say ... very disappointed. We have been going to the Bull Dog for years. 2 weeks ago , Tues nite wing nite ordered a ceaser salad with added chicken. The salad portion was more like a side salad. The chicken add on was the the smallest piece of chicken, over cooked, and equivalent to the portion size of a chicken nugget. Wings were not the usual excellent size and quality they have served for years. Wait staff have always been excellent , thanks for that. Scratched off the list for now until we hear something has changed.

Food is okay. Took half rack of ribs which were little dry. And felt like it was warmed up in a microwave. On Thursday and Friday there is live music or Karaoke, but for some reason the volum is way too high ( I put ear plugs in) otherwise it is hard sitting in. Beer is reasonable price and good choices

Perfect for our team dinner

We booked with a group of 17 including 8 kids. They had room for us, and served us quickly. Food was great! Our server was on the ball and had us taken care of the duration of our stay. Not one of our group complained. Will definitely go back if we are ever in the area.

Too many fruit flies...kinda took away from my experience. Seen one land in a customers drink. They didnt even offer him a free one.

I don t know why people are so happy about this place for food, as a foodie, I will tell you everyone commenting is either drunk or has never tasted good food before. In my opinion the only good thing at this place is their wings which are not always on par but they are the best thing going for them. And I m not sure about the specials but they re beef ribs on Sunday, seem like a good price but they are way too fatty not much meat at all. Also way too much cayenne if you like that. If you want a good pub with good food this place is probably a two or three star best. Buy at your own risk . They also do have a lot of locals going there, older people who are trying to make this place a five star which is not take care I can t believe this place! Now they raise their price of a pound of wings to almost $15!!!! are you guys out of your mind?.. that s ridiculous. I won t be back.

Updating to add... With the change in ownership the portion sizes are very strange. You can get a pound of wings with fries for an additional $2 and the fry portion is a handful of youre lucky. A side of fries is $8!! And again is a few handfuls of fries. Not sure why theyre so skimpy with the fries! Decent local pub. However have had experiences with being rushed out well before closing time, when we planned to stay and have a few drinks. Also, witnessed a bar tender blowing the foam off the tops of beers.. Very unappealing...

Unfortunately, it was a dine and dash experience. Working in the area and needed a quick bite before heading home. No complaints, just wish I could have stayed a little longer.

We popped in late after bowling for a couple drinks and some wings.. being from Pickering it had been a bunch of years since I was there last but it was still a cozy little place to enjoy a birthday celebration

Disappointing meal tonight. Almost every meal that was ordered in our group was wrong or had food quality issues. Service was passable but barely. My past few visits have been lacklustre to say the least.

Went today for Mothers Day and while the food was good, the regulars at the bar totally ruined it! They were loud and obnoxious - we got the bill and left. Last thing I wanted for our Mothers Day supper was rude drink guys singing about their lives.

Im so tired of paying money and getting nothing in return. Please if you are going to say how amazing the food is then you have never been blessed enough to taste food with any type of love or season. The potions for 20$ disgusting. Alfredo, if thats not what you are used to cooking why have it on the menu, no flavor like salt the waterm smh gross. Burger not horrible. Poutine if thats what u want to call it melted cheddar chesse and white chesse. Again small potions for the cost. Reviews are not my thing but getting really tired of paying out, trying to support for nothing in return!

This is an amazing establishment, the owners, Julie and Victor go above and beyond for all their customers and do SO much for the community! Go and see for yourself!! All these other comments are just backlash from a completely misunderstood SIGN ON THE DOOR, that someone completely blew out of context. The issue has been addressed and corrected. Dont ruin an amazing business over someone elses stupidity and lack of knowledge!!!!

We had a delicious lunch! The pub was just the right mix, families and regulars. Enjoyed the wings, steak sandwich, beer and wine. I recommend this pub for anyone wanting a great place.

Been living on the road for over a year in Oshawa, recently tried the Bulldog, and have been back for dinner every evening for two weeks. Food is always fresh, well prepared, and delicious. The staff are very courteous, and have been visited many times by the chef at our table. Highly recommended

I ve been working around Darlington for the past 6 years and this place has hands down the best service and kitchen I ve ever had. The new owners are awesome. Try the curry, tacos, prime rib , or anything you want. It s all delicious

Excellent service, pleasant atmosphere

Came in on a Friday with no reservation. 4 adults 2 kids under 2. Was told a 30-45 min wait, we agreed to this. Move to the side and after a bit another family about the same size comes in and a new hostess seats them - they did not have a reservation. after about 45 mins we are offered a small table - we talk for 2 mins and when we get back to them the hostess said that we actually couldnt be seated because they were short on wait staff. I get that. What frustrates me is nothing changed from when we got there to them telling us we couldnt be seated. We wasted a lot of time, why could they not have just told us this from the start?
