10/10 got the suicide wings could barely eat them got what I expected compliments to the chef

Service was amazing ,I ordered steak and lobster and wasnt happy to find out that mashed potatoes were instant the lobster tail was extremely little and very chewy and steak wasnt med rare as I had order it but i was so hungry I just ate it . The staff was great however not sure Id return at least not for steak and lobster anyways .

Food was okay. But Klaudia was amazing we had a large party and she served everyone like they were the only ones in the restaurant. Amazing service!!

Best wings in Durham. Suicide sauce is both spicy and flavorful. Seafood was also excellent. Great place to watch the game. Cant wait to go back.

Ordered salt and pepper wings. It looks like the cooks dumped half a bottle of pepper on 2 single wings, and left the rest bare. Food and service is decent aside from this wild seasoning technique.

Great place, great service. My only complaint is that I booked my reservation 3 days in advance and asked for a booth for our party. They told me they couldnt guarantee that but would try. Well, they took us to a tall table for 6, and right behind us was an empty booth. When our server came, we asked her if we could move, and she had to ask for permission and was told no. But, she moved us regardless as our table really wasnt going to work out well. After that, everything was great, although this review might have been a lot different had we not been moved. Our server was fantastic, I only wish I had written my review right away, as I cant recall her name, but she was top-notch!!! I cant understand why we werent given the empty both, which was requested in the first place. Thats my complaint. I hope it doesnt get ignored by management.

Probably one of my top rated sports bars. The food is top notch, I definitely recommend their loaded Brussels! Lots of space, plenty of food and beverage items to choose from, well worth going for multiple occasions.

Not a big fan of their food. The atmosphere is far too noisy and the parking lot is a nightmare. I wouldnt recommend it.

It was okay until the middle-aged lady at the bar asked me to cash-out 15 minutes after I arrived because she was finishing her shift lol. Nice try. Then she gave us a dirty look. Trashy behaviour.

Portly is great but the uber drivers are so disrespectful. They block the entrance, exit, block cars in.

I ordered portly on uber because we wanted some delicious wings for the hockey game and upon arrival (this is the 3rd time we ve had issues) my chicken wings weren t what I had ordered, but instead they were some incredibly spicy wings. All I ask is to please pay more attention to orders. My pregnant self was not looking forward to feeling this yucky from a wing flavour I didn t expect

Have a great time every time we come to the portly. Super grateful to Claudia our server. We bring our 2 daughters every time she is helpful, pays attention and communicates with the kids and makes them feel special. We cannot thank her enough

Stumbled on this place after getting disappointed at a bar nearby. The place was great and the service was awesom.

For the first time I was disappointed. Ordered the beet salad to split with friend, didn t come, no apology just made sure it wasn t on my bill. Our main dinners were very good, but getting a 2nd drink took forever. Hubby got the jambalaya and they have cut back on the shrimp. Just didn t seem up to par.

Sat at the restaurant for over 20 min and no one came to even take me and my partners drink order. After the drink we just left. TERRIBLE customer service

The only place I go for wings! The Best wings you could ever ask for. And Im a wing connoisseur and still nothing beats it. Best sauce ever Caribbean Jerk, and buffalo with Cajun dry rub. With the homemade dill and buttermilk ranch dips. No place like home, for the wings to my belly.

Sharing very realistic non aesthetic photos but the food was very good! I went out with a friend and we got calamari for the appetizer and spilt 2 pounds of wings and a pitcher of Blue Moon beer. They had a deal for 2 pounds of wings and a pitcher for $32. We paid a dollar extra for Blue Moon because it s not domestic beer. It s a little loud but over all a fun vibe. Expect lots of tv screens. The servers were very nice and attentive. The menu is huge so we will likely go again.

A Chimichanga is a crispy shelled burrito. I ordered the breakfast chimichanga, it came as a wrap, not as described on the menu. Server shrugged.

Its a sports bar. When your a group of 6 or more your tucked away in the back. Service was awesome the lady serving our tables was fantastic. The hair of the guy that brought out my food ended up on my plate, well directly on my wings.. right on top not just 1 either.

I dont live in the area but this place was recommended by a friend. The atmosphere is sports friendly but also family friendly with plenty of booths and tables away from the bar. The menu has so many different types of cuisines- options for everyone. There may be too many options? Lol The best thing was the portion sizes for the price! $18.99 for fish and chips, coleslaw, and salad all included!? I couldnt even finish all the food and neither could my friends or husband. The dish I had was very spicy, yet no where in the menu did it mention anything about spice . I spoke to the manager, yet he didnt do anything other than let the kitchen know . Im glad you let them know , but didnt offer a free drink, free app on my next visit , absolutely nothing . Very disappointed.

Our server was incredible! The Saturday half rack, a pound of wings, and a big side for 19 dollars was awesome! My wife and I visited here again for our anniversary dinner. Again, food and service were spectacular. Even with a packed house we received our foods and drinks promptly. Parking: Lots of free parking most times. However, if there a big game on TV you may have to find parking across the street. We visited last night to watch Monday night football but most of the TVs were showing the Leafs game. We watched the NFL game on a smaller screen which was okay but next time we may just watch the NFL game at home if theres a Leafs game playing at the same time.

Came for Wings and Beer with a friend. The best wings Ive ever had, and a great price on Mondays! So many drink and food options, specials and all at really decent prices. Great selection of beers on tap. Staff are friendly, fast and efficient. Loved the atmosphere. Thank you Claudia and Madu!

Great place to visit. Wasnt impressed with fries from a bag if you run a restaurant buy a dam tater cutter and make fries. Quit serving garbage from a box.

A bit to loud the music, not good for childrens and for elders or either for regular people who try to have a chat or conversation to interact.. everyone is screaming even to order. Food is good but white pasta for children we noticed that they put to much butter.

Good place for a quick bites and for a get together . I went for a retirement party and we were out in a separate room, had our own server. Service was fast and food tasted really good . It s a pub but lot of their menu items felt more on the fancier restaurant side . Lots of selections of pastas and entree . Place is well kept and feels like a high end restaurant rather than a local dive bar . Definitely give it a try if you are in Oshawa , easy access of 401 as well !

Surprised at how this place has changed. The food wasn t at all like it used to be. I got the turkey dinner and it wasn t even real turkey. The potatoes were cold. So disappointed!

I have now gone twice after softball tournaments and the service was quick and friendly. Prices were great, portions big and drinks nice and cold. Ordered the chicken souvlaki dinner the last time and their Greek salad was remarkably great. Chicken was good. I would definitely go back. Parking: Plenty of parking available.

Ive only been here a few times but Ive only had great experiences. Their menu is large with lots of yummy options. And the food is actually reasonably priced! Its really refreshing to see in this crazy economy so thank you Portly Piper for that! We were just here yesterday and our server (I cant remember her name unfortunately) was super sweet and attentive. Thank you for a lovely dinner!

I love going to Piper Thursdays cause the wings are a good deal and comes with fries or you can get the soup of the day or a salad, also you can get $5 pints which is a very good deal. The staff there are always super nice and the service is good.

I come here every single week with my family of 4, food is 10/10, price is great and we love coming here. However 1 server that we ve had 3 times is always miserable and rude, not sure of her name but she served in the leafs lounge last night, the attitude makes you definitely not want to come back.

Ordered through Uber Eats. If you get a pub classic meal, you better be hungry because the portions are massive. I definitely felt like the quality and quantity matched the price. Fries are good, though not hand cut, and their salads shouldn t be overlooked. The loaded fried brussel sprouts were unexpectedly delicious and great for sharing.

The alfredo sauce is a disaster, stay away from any pasta dish based on alfredo sauce. Inedible and I rarely complain about restaurant meals.

I am absolutely blown away from this restaurant. We normally go to the ajax location as our go to pub food but the Oshawa location is on a whole other level. Both my parents own their own restaurants and trust me the food is god tier. The prices are also amazing!!! This is hands down my favorite place to eat now. 10/10 Make sure you check this place out!!!

Huge menu, very very diverse and everything Ive tried has been very well made. Much better than you would expect from pub food. If you cant find something you like here youre not trying. Top that off with friendly service. Will continue to visit often. 2024 update, still going regularly!

We had the most unenthusiastic of servers. Almost seemed like we were doing her a hardship sitting in her section after asking to move from the claustrophobic two person booths. She was not engaging never asked if we wanted another drink came by once to see if we were ok. Didn t ask if we liked the food

This restaurant is very nice , we enjoy the food as it is cooked well and quite tasty. Also , we find the waitresses professional and quick. They do their job and are respectful not flirty with men as we notice in some restaurants they are a little to nice which makes them look cheap. Going to a restaurant you want to be served not head to a tinder date. This place never fails with professional workers , good food and atmosphere.

Popped in at short notice, they had room for six of us at 9.30 on a Thursday evening. We asked for quick service for two of us as we had to get to Belleville, service was extremely quick, food excellent quality, just like Ajax. Evelyn, the young lady who served us, was awesome.

Overall this was a great place! I loved almost everything about it from its space, to the food and their sangria was incredible. The food portions are also really big! Unfortunately I had to take one star off because their deep fried devil eggs were just not good... They tasted a bit old? But really, everything else was great, so we will be coming back and just not ordering those eggs haha

Met a friend for dinner here. I was a little hesitant because the Portly Piper in Ajax is so loud that I don t like going there. This was a completely different experience! The booth we sat in was in the back corner and quiet. We could talk easily without having to raise our voices to hear one another. The food! Oh the food was amazing! We shared the quesadillas to started the. I had the Caesar salad with shrimp. The shrimp were piping hot but that didn t wilt the salad , which was perfectly made. Crisp lettuce, not over dressed! My husband dropped in to meet us and had the burger with fries. Again, you nailed it! My girlfriend had the salmon dish. Perfect as well! Our server was attentive. The service team all worked together, which was nice to see. When there was downtime, instead of playing on their phones, they replenished supplies. Don t think the customer isn t watching. It shows a commitment to their job. I wish I had photos. Great place and I highly recommend it.

Food was great, staff was amazing! Highly recommend visiting. They were able to accommodate our party last minute on a Saturday. Had the rib and wing combo. Ribs were ok, but the real star were the wings. Some of the best wings Ive had in a while. Menu has something for everybody.

As an autistic person Im really grateful they listen when you ask for the music and lights to be turned down. Its less overstimulating. Plus the food is amazing! If given the option Id go again.

I have been going here and ordering for years now and I can honestly say, I have never once been disappointed. Whether I go in with my wife to dine, or order out, the food and service has always been above reproach. I cannot speak highly enough of this restaurant. And the wings are TO DIE FOR. My absolute favorite and regular order. The consistency of excellence from this place is astounding. Definitely my favorite place to eat for a record time now. Whenever my teenage boys want to hang out, this comes to our minds.. good service, nice food, and a great place to chill.

I gave this place a 5 star rating 2 years ago after we moved to the area. Food was legitimately good and the burgers were mine and my husband s favourite. Especially the bacon and Brie. We were just dining there today (June 09). I ordered my usual favourite (Bacon & Brie smash burger). It was nothing like what we usually get. It was two thin freezer burnt patties vs the usual homemade. I asked the waitress why they changed the burger/ if it was changed. She asked for us. She was told it was the same. A short while later I believe it was the cook or maybe a manager that came out and asked how our meals were. I brought up the burger and asked why they changed it. He looked me dead in the eye and said that it s the same patties they ve always used. Complete lie!! This burger was terrible. Such a bad experience. I could have gotten over the burger thing if they were just honest and perhaps admitted that they were out. The fact they so blatantly lied has left the worst taste in my mouth. We are so incredibly disappointed. We will most definitely not be returning. Their quality of food has gone down the crapper.

One of the best places to eat for the price. Best staff and great place. I only wish for 2 things: bigger parking spots/larger parking space, and my food came out a little burnt. I wish they took a little longer so that they didnt have to burn my rib and wing combo. Parking: You can park on the other side of the street. Theres a Dollarama there with plenty of space, compared to their parking which was a tight squeeze and hard to find a spot to park.

The food was good, The menu is huge!! A little loud for my taste. The sound level is not great (not their fault- just the acoustics were bad) and too many TVs. Again- just not my thing. I didnt realize it was a sports pub! Service was nice though :)

There were 3 of us older ladies, one younger, late on a Friday night. Only young servers, no management on site Im sure, and the music was ridiculously loud and annoying. Noone else was in the bar, so learn to read the crowd.

Wings are amazing! We had a pound of Medium and a pound of cajun ranch. Both were delicious. I didnt get the name of our waitress but she was also really good. Friendly and personable. The service was great. A little pricey as there were no deals on they day we went. We just got the 2 lbs of wings and some ceasars, and the bill was $100 before tip. We sat on the patio and it was a nice atmosphere. Small patio and a little crowded, but we didnt have to book a reservation and was able to enjoy the patio on a Friday evening. Overall, it was really good and I would definitely recommend!

I am sorry to say that this place has really changed and not in a good way!! Went to dinner with my daughter we both ask for the famous pulled pork sandwich with a side of bbq sauce as there was none on the table , we not only received cold food but where also up charged for the small side of bbq sauce ;( never would have imagined a small container of bbq sauce would be an add fee on top of my meal price

June 18 Ordered the beef pot pie! No beef, literally no beef! Wont order again! Hubbys jambalaya was good! Not cheap for no beef! Update May 18: Wasnt sure whether to order from them again but I always like to give second chances. Had the Deep fried platter and hubby had his favourite Jambalaya. It was perfect! Not over cooked, no undercooked and above all not cold. Thank you! Review below Ordered at 3:00 for delivery between 4:30 and 5:00. Seems to me that it was cooked at 3:00 and sat till Skip came. I had a burger. Meat was cold and dried out and the lettuce was not the freshest. The bun was actually too small for the burger and didnt look well. Husband had Jambalaya but sadly it was cold too. The Portly has never disappointed! We order at least a couple of times a month. Thats what always kept us coming back! This review below was 3 years ago. Amazing huge menu! Delicious food! When you go to a restaurant you want to eat together. Our server forgot my order and by the time it got there the other 3 at our table were finished. I asked her who screwed up and she said it was her. So I packed up 3/4 of my dinner, payed the full bill, and left. Portly is usually pretty good, not tonight. Not real sure if well be back.

I usually really like the food. We were there yesterday June 19th and ordered the prime rib burger which is usually homemade and delicious. This time you could tell it was a already (maybe frozen) made burger like the ones I cook at home. Not happy.

Ive been a loyal customer of Portly Piper for years, having frequented their Ajax location before they expanded to Oshawa. However, recent visits have been marred by inconsistent service. On previous occasions, weve encountered issues such as being forgotten after being seated, missing or incorrect orders, and a lack of attention from staff. However, my visit at dinner last week was a delightful exception, thanks to our server Hailey. She provided exemplary service, promptly greeting us upon seating and ensuring we were attended to throughout our meal. Haileys attentiveness made it easy to get her attention when needed, and her pleasant demeanor enhanced our dining experience. Furthermore, the food, including the steak and angry salmon, was delicious and prepared exactly as requested. Haileys exceptional service truly stood out and made our visit memorable. Overall, while previous experiences have been inconsistent, Haileys outstanding service demonstrates the potential for excellence going forward. I wanted to pass along my gratitude to the manager personally, but unfortunately was unable to see him. I found a shard of glass or hard plastic I m not sure in my meal. I brought it up to the waitress as I wasn t sure if something broke near my meal and there could possibly be more in it. The waitress apologized and they brought me a new one 15 minutes later at this point my boyfriend was already done his meal. The owner came to apologize but absolutely nothing was done about it. Very disappointing as I really liked this restaurant. Will never go again.

One of the best pubs around. Wing days are my favorite. Check their website for the wing deals. I promise you you cant miss with this place. What I can say is that they need more wing flavour options.

Our server, Ashley seemed out of it. I asked what did a pan blackened steak mean and she didnt know. When I asked why she didnt know, she said there were too many things on the menu to remember? Her whole vibe was off. Food was good.

I came with my senior father for lunch and Beverly was our server. She made excellent recommendations and my father who is normally extremely picky enjoyed his BLT(the best hes had in years in his own words)and I had a Caeser salad. Drink presentation was beautiful and Beverly was extremely attentive to our needs.

The wings that I had were good but the penne with spicy sausage did not taste like marinara sauce as my husband tasted curry in it. He just ate the noodles and left the sauce in the bowl. My husband is Italian and an excellent cook who knows what type of spices should be used for Marinara.

Food was adequate, beer was limited to just Molson selections and the server was ok but terribly understaffed. The wait to get a menu, then order drinks, then order food was excruciating slow.

All their food seemed over dry and seasoned to me. The place is full of young immature ladies trying to nail free drinks off of the super excited middle aged MALE crowds out drinking
