Everything about this place is a vibe! My fiancé and I had our engagement party at this venue and we weren’t disappointed. From the yummy eats, sick artwork, to all the cool options like a 360 photobooth, board games and themed gamer drinks, it is a place I will continue to go back to in the future! It’s like it was made for me and I couldn’t recommend it more!
My Fiancé and I hosted our engagement party here for about 70 people. The location was amazing, plenty of room, great atmosphere and the food was amazing. All out of guests couldn’t stop talking about the jerk chicken pasta the next day. I’d definitely recommend hosting an event here or even just coming in to get drinks and food. And as a bonus, they have a bunch of board games available to play. 10/10 spot
Amazing atmosphere! While we were waiting for our food we got to play some board games from the many options they have. The bruschetta was top-tier and our server Nevaeh provided great service!
Went here around 1:30pm for lunch and the place was dead (surprisingly so). It’s so pretty in there and the music they play is so good. The service was great, we were checked on multiple times to make sure we were happy. We ordered the bbq chicken and rice (daily special), a beef burger with fries, and the spinach dip. All the food was so good but the spinach dip was by far the highlight of the show, I cleaned the dish. Best of all, the prices are surprisingly low. All the food was $39 before tip. Pls check this place out !!
I had a fantastic experience at Gomoku. The owner was incredibly friendly and went above and beyond to help me find exactly what I needed. Their knowledge and genuine care made the visit enjoyable. I can only imagine how lovely the atmosphere is at night; it’s the perfect spot for a late night drink. Highly recommend this place for excellent service and a welcoming vibe!
What an amazing restaurant and bar! The food was simply top notch and the layout of the place was not cluttered and was very well maintained. The customer service was incredible and even the lovely owner took the time to come and check on us. There is plenty of parking. I highly recommend! Thank you for a great experience!!!
I highly recommend Gomoku Restaurant in North Oshawa for parties and catering events. It's very spacious, clean, and the staff are incredibly friendly. Best of all is the food, which is an Asian/Caribbean fusion. My top recommendations: jerk pasta, buttered chicken with plain rice, and fried plantains and garlic bread. Big shout out to Shabi, Tanniya, and owner Nathan for a wonderful evening. ❤️
From the same owners as The Blvd, Gomoku Kitchen's grand reopening was on *June 22, 2023*. Rebranded and featuring a new menu, me and about twenty of my friends came out for an after-party dinner on the following Saturday, June 24th. Food came incredibly late, a lot seemed to dislike the food (especially the dumplings), and there was little to no service. But I was willing to let it slide, it's their first week after all (even though the restaurant was completely empty when we were there at 9pm). Though, the others were incredibly vocal about not going back to the restaurant from how bad everything was, so we didn't go there for our huge monthly after-party dinners anymore. Afterwards, on Jul 7th we starting coming weekly for our gaming events, from 6pm-10pm. No advertising was done on their part to let people know, but we still had an average of about 10-20 people per event. A few day changes here and there for their other events that seemingly fizzled out, (Mondays instead of Thursdays, Sundays instead of Fridays, etc) we got a decent amount of eyes on the restaurant. As of early this March, the restaurant is taking another step to making the restaurant go into, once again, yet another direction. With another, third connecting restaurant on the way, and only 5 cooks in the kitchen, the menu falls completely flat. Whenever we were there weekly, everyone would order from the Nathan's Jerks menu. Everytime someone ordered from the Gomoku Kitchen menu it took forever and tasted subpart- even their chicken wings! The service is not great. I feel bad for the bartenders there that have to run from the restaurant, to then also simultaneously help out with to-go orders in the connecting Nathan's Jerks restaurant. When there isn't a bartender there, we need to ring the bell just to get service. The menu is never advertised, the prices are always not what is shown on said menus, and the deals are seemingly random. Every time I pass by the restaurant, it's completely empty. They have neglected advertising since October, the times on their Google page are wrong (time and days open), zero communication between the staff, and now their only consistent customers are being driven an unreasonable price just to be there. It's incredibly unfortunate they're taking this step forward. So many ideas to let students come in, and help what was once a restaurant I love flourish. But I recognize what was once the energy The Blvd had is completely gone. It's time to move on. I urge everyone to continue supporting Nathan's Jerks though. Nathan's food is always incredible and affordable, and he's an upstanding guy. He deserves the best and more, and his business deserves more attention, despite its conjoined twin Gomoku Kitchen's problems.

One of the best place to drink and eat delicious burgers and wings in budget and also drinks in shots are very affordable, I would like to mention BEN the bartender. He is pretty cool and excellent customer service. Overall Gomoku a must try bar in Oshawa.

The chicken was cooked amazingly, and it was seasoned so well! Mango smoothie was a 10/10! I would gladly go back! Dietary restrictions: I came here with my friend, who is gluten free. Once our server was informed, he sent out the chef to make her a custom meal of whatever she wanted. It worked out perfectly.

Ordered Gomoku through Ubereats and every single thing we tried was DELICIOUS. The burgers were great, the quesadillas were sooo tasty and it s some of the best garlic bread we ever had. The fries were a tad over done for my tastes but my housemates found them to be perfect. Taste-wise I quite liked them though.

Went once with a larger group of about 10 or so people and were the only ones in the restaurant. Service was horrifically slow and when our food finally did come, the dumplings were disgusting, barely warm and I couldn t bring myself to finish them. Some of my friends got food at the other restaurant connected and said they enjoyed that so maybe just go there instead.

Had an event here for my friends engagement party. We had a lot of fun and had no issues. The food was great and the decor pretty eye catching. Loved the anime inspired mural. The bartender was excellent, forgot his name but he recommended some really delicious drinks. I would come back here again if I needed to have a private event.

The resto-bar is a cozy location with awesome decor. The menu is simple and to the point, which is perfect. The portion sizes are hearty! Oh, and their cocktails are very enjoyable.

I went with my friends last night and we had a wonderful time! I am always looking for food that reminds me of home and brings comfort, and this place did not disappoint.The food is delicious, the jerk chicken was tender and seasoned perfectly, you get lots of food for a decent price. The ambiance is really cool and artistic, they even have a photo corner with lights and the walls are covered in beautiful artwork. The bathrooms are luxurious and even have lights for selfies! The staff are so lovely and kind! They made sure we had everything we needed and really went above and beyond to serve us. I highly recommend this place, we will be back to taste the other dishes.
Want for a 4oth bd on Nov 11. Decor and vibe was great. Food was nice variety was good .Bar service was poor very slow and inexperienced. Also asked my niece ( after she waited in line 20 min for a drink ) if she was an attendee, how rude. Our family is all mixed . We where offended and hurt by this . Would have spent way more but couldnt wait in line all night. Vegetarian options: Catored menu for our event Nice selection bruschetta and salads on point. Parking: Ample convenient parking 2 exits so easy in and easy out Kid-friendliness: Kids where allowed to mingle safely redirected as needed colorful wall murals to stimulate them
