Food is good. The Nacho portion is good. Taco is amazingly good. Could use more stuff for the nacho. Nice to see something different in oshawa these days. Food : 5/5

Their sign says they are open to 10pm, online it said 7:30, we go there at 5:40 Something and they said that they were going to close by 6:30. I m not sure how the food is but the customer service is 0. It also smelled a bit moldy in there Service

We were going to meet someone here but they decided to close an hour and a half early. Don t try showing up here for dinner at 5:40

Quesabirria wasn t lightly fried as according to their menu. Beef was bland, tortilla was soggy, cheese wasn t melted and birria broth was cold and tasted old. Do not recommend.

Do yourself a favour and go to a chain restaurant. Will be cheaper and better quality! Burrito had hardly any meat and was quite small for $17. Rice was dry, no taste in the sauces, overall just not good. Birria was dry and soggy, cheese not melted at all. Better options elsewhere in Oshawa!

Your food is orgasmic, I have nothing else. I ordered the grill fish tacos and grilled beef quesadilla - everything fresh, down to the onions, the fish, tender...dont stop what youre doing. Enough dipping sauces, little details. Very good food.

I REALLY wanted to be able to give 5 stars, but not everything was great. First - tacos and tostadas excellent, 5/5 fantastic. Do recommend. Would return just for those. We also ordered a variety of other things that were just okay, truly nothing special. The Elote being the most disappointing. Ultimately we will be return customers but will stick to the tacos.

Stopped in for dinner with my girlfriend, she ordered Birria tacos, I ordered a burrito. Both of our meals tasted good, but we found the price to be slightly overpriced, paying 25$ for 4 small tacos. Her food was brought out 15 minutes before mine. And the drinks we ordered (water and Diet Coke) were not received until after asking a second time when my food arrived (15 minutes after hers) which was missing chipotle mayo on the side like I asked. no complaint about the taste of food or atmosphere but the service was the worst I ve received, would not go back

We had a reservation. Arrived just before the set time and were left waiting at the door to even speak to anyone for 10 minutes. Once we were seated we waited 15 minutes to give a drink order(we ended up ordering apps and mains at the same time). An app came within 10 minutes (chips and guac) a tiny amount of guac served with way to many chip. Our drinks took 20 minutes from ordering. Once received our tacos they were disgusting. The meat was dry, you could tell had been sitting for far too long, the pulled pork (a premium taco option) tasted like the smell of wet dog food. Server did not check on the table for any other drinks or to see how we liked the food. Furthest from authentic and way better places in Durham to go too. We do not recommend this place at all.

We ordered and it was ready in 10 minutes for pickup. Restaurant was busy inside and it was a cool atmosphere. Food was delicious, had the chicken tacos and chicken quesadilla.. food was very good, tacos were small - 2-3 bites. Will try eating in next time.

This is the best Mexican food in Durham, and better than anything Ive had in Toronto. Their divorced eggs were unbelievable, the cocktails were lovely and thoughtfully constructed, and we ordered two plates of tacos as well. Cant recommend it highly enough, and cant wait to go back!

Great little spot. We had nachos. They were a huge portion. Really liked how they were made in house from scratch and smaller pieces of tortilla chips made for the perfect bite sized pieces. Wife had fish and carne de asada tacos. She said they were great. I tried one of her fish tacos and they were awesome. I had the machete de birria and it was great too. I wish it came with rice and refried beans and a salad though. But maybe I didnt order correctly? Servers were great. Really like the artwork inside. Will definitely recommend to friends and go back again. Keep up the great work!

Our server Martin was honestly one of the best servers Ive ever had. Food was out of this world amazing. Music was great and and not overpowering. Decor inside was great. Had the tacos de birria and my god was it unreal exploding with delicious flavor. 20/10 definitely recommended. I will 100 percent be going back.

This is one of the best taco places I have tried in a long time. Firstly the ambiance is lovely, beautiful traditional Mexican decor. Our server Martin, what can I say? He was AMAZING!!! Martin was so friendly, helpful and made my first experience here great. I will be coming back for my birthday dinner because the food quality, taste, service and ambiance were all 5 stars. A great addition to the Oshawa food scene with fresh tacos and a menu that has a great variety. Look for great mid-week drink specials that can be good value. Their house beer is on draught is excellent and is available in light lager or amber.

This place is awful! $17 for the smallest and worst burrito Ive had in my life, The chain restaurants blow them out of the water. Tasted like can pinto beans, can chicken, some watery salsa, table spoon of rice, sour cream and some boiled onions all mixed together. Where are my saute peppers? Now I have to go get a pizza slice, unbelievable!

Portions are small so you do have to get several things to be full but it was so worth it! We got to try shrimp tacos (al pastor), elote, quesadillas de carne asada, machete de carne asada, burrito de carne asada and the tres leches cake. Everything was so delicious, freshly made. The service was 10/10. We got our order fast and the guys working there were very kind and friendly. We loved the environment as well, good music and nice decor. Definitely a place to check out in downtown Oshawa. Hands down the best, authentic mexican spot in Durham region.

The quesobirria and al pastor tacos were delicious, the staff were kind, attentive, and funny, and the murals on the wall are amazing! Definitely coming back another day to try more of their food.

I have been here twice now. Just tonight with my husband and 1 year old. The food each time was completely amazing. So flavorful and authentic. The cocktails are excellent. This time with my little fam prompted this review. The staff was so amazing with our little man. They were so friendly and the service was amazing. My entree was slightly delayed and they gave us a free dessert because of it. The atmosphere is amazing and the staff there make it just so great. They were friendly and caring and my son loved being social with them. We will be back 100 more times.

Excellent place to spend a pleasant time with friends, couple, family, etc. 100% family atmosphere, the staff is great, they are not rude, the live music is very varied and fun. The food is good if it has a Mexican touch. I ordered the roast beef quesadillas, which are not charcoal-grilled meat but the flavor is good. Prices are average The only thing I didnt like at all, thats why I gave 3 stars, is the issue of the tip here, they already include it in the bill and they dont even give you the option or to give what you want, a % of bad practices that become customs are obligatory. This is a welcome addition to the downtown Oshawa area. I had the Burrito De Carne Asada, and didnt leave hungry! My foot was tapping all the while I was reviewing the menu up until it was time to pay my bill, great ambiance! My burrito was fantastic! My only sticking point was the price. I had a burrito, and water (with a substitution of jalapenos instead of bell peppers) and with the minimum recommended tip of 15%, I was out the door for nearly $23.00. I wasnt told that the jalapeno substitution would be a $2 upgrade. That being said, there are a lot of other menu items I feel like I need to try - so Ill be back a few more times, despite the seemingly high prices! Vegetarian options: There is quite the variety on the menu, Im sure that whatever your preference, you can find something that works for you.

I rarely review restaurants but its criminal that this place has been open for three weeks and only has 19 reviews. The food is really, really good and the vibe inside is great and on par with any fancy downtown Toronto Mexican restaurant. 10/10, cant wait to eat here again.

Authentic Mexican cuisine. We ve been there twice now and both times were excellent. The food is so good. We ve had tacos, Mexican fires and nachos with beans and guacamole. Also indulged in the Mexican crepes today and they were so tasty. The caramel! Yum! Everything seems to be homemade and tastes amazing. And they make an excellent margarita - not too sweet. The background music also makes you feel like you re in Mexico and adds to the experience. Service is excellent as well.

So so good, Really fresh delicious food. Unique flavors through every dish and super accommodating. Surprisingly fast service and well staffed - 10/10 will be back asap! The best place to enjoy delicious food and creative cocktails. I havent tried anything yet that I havent loved. The kids take care of you and make you feel at home.

Was very excited to try this place. The tacos are much smaller than expected. Each taco had maybe 3 pieces of diced onions and maybe 3 pieces of cilantro. The meat tasted old and was super tough. Was hoping for fresh meat. I hope that they learn from mistakes and strive to be better cause this place has so much potential. Willing to update my review in the future.

Great tacos! All authentic Mexican dishes. Awesome atmosphere, music and some pretty cool artwork inside on the walls of the restaurant - apparently they also do live music/events. I only popped in for a quick bite but I will definitely be back again to try more menu items!

Everything is amazing, Amazing Food, Amazing Service, really authentic, drinks are amazing too, had a lot of fun, it looks really fancy inside and the murals are great too, this is what Durham and Oshawa needed I ll definitely come back!!, They also have live performances on Fridays and Saturdays, from 7pm to 9pm!!!

Quality of the chicken was absolutely disgusting with thick chewy fat and sinew throughout the whole burrito. The worst thing to experience when eating chicken is hard bits that you cannot chew through. Would not recommend.

Went for dinner and really liked the atmosphere. Tried the carne asada tacos, birria tacos, nachos and the elote street corn. Best ones were the birria tacos with the elote. Would definitely come back.

After working all day I was exhausted and didnt feel up to cooking, so I decided to get take out from the newly opened MEXITACO in Oshawa, my daughter and I drove to the restaurant and placed our order. I paid for oir meal with the last $45 I had in my purse. The customer service was good, so imagine our disappointment when we sat down to eat by the lake only to see we did not get the avocado we paid extra for in my Burrito and dip that usually comes with tacos. This nerver happens when we order thru Uber...so it begs to question why an in person visit would be so upsetting

Now, I gave atmosphere a 4 and not 5 was for one tiny reason. The music albeit wonderful, it is a tad too loud to have a conversation. This restaurants food is not just great, it is phenomenal! I had the Fish & Shrimp Tostada and Tacos De Carne Asada. My friend had the Tacos de Birria. We are planning to keep on coming back so that we can try every item on the menu! I highly recommend making Mexitaco one of your go-to restaurants.

I have been travelling to one of their Scarborough locations every time I wanted some Mexican food. I was super happy to see they opened up a location in Oshawa! If you are craving some authentic Mexican food, this is the place to be. Everyone who Ive recommended to try Mexitaco were very happy! Highly recommend!

I ve been to some of their other locations and fell in love with this place, I m so happy Oshawa is open now it s so much closer to home. Me and my friend eat here 2-3 times a month ever since we discovered it we LOVE it so much. I order chips with guac and beans, white bean tostada, elote corn, and birria tacos with horchata to drink every time I go. The service is so polite friendly and FAST. Wish I could give an extra star to the very handsome man who served us!

Came across this place from a Facebook group and its easily some of the best Mexican food I had. I had birria tacos and an elote. My husband has a shrimp ceviche and a fish taco. All tasted amazing and came out really quickly. We will most definitely be back.

Thank you to the folks at Mexitaco Oshawa!! You were all so friendly and also accommodating to my mom s gluten allergy. My mom was able to have the Birria Tacos and Elote with no issues even though she has Celiac disease. So awesome. We ordered the Birria Tacos, Elote, Mexican Fries, and Tres Leches Cake. The tacos were authentic and absolutely delicious. The cake was also so amazing. I could literally eat ten of those. Unreal! It s so nice to have an authentic Mexican restaurant so close to home. We will definitely be back. Thank you so much. Next time we hope to be able to try the Chicharron.

Did a take away to try it , and boy did it blow my mind. Some of the best Mexican cuisine Ive had . Cant wait to visit the establishment and have a sit down meal.

My son and I went here for lunch for the very first time. We really enjoyed the pleasant atmosphere, the staff are very friendly and helpful, and the food is fantastic including the dessert menu. My son said this is now his favourite place to eat!
