Filipino - Italian Fusion
This was our first visit to this restaurant, and we found the fusion of Italian and Filipino cuisine to be quite refreshing. We ordered the Pork Belly Risotto. The sauce was well-balanced. The rice and pork were salty. It was unique and different. It tasted great and the portion size was just right. We also tried the build your own pasta. Which was a nice option. Sun-dried tomatoes, with spinach and olives in a garlic oil sauce. They threw in some chili’s for us to spice it up. Which we appreciated. Real tasty, well put together and prepared perfectly. Compliments to the chef. Thank you for a great meal. We will be back.
Delicious! We've been twice now to try various dishes and were impressed by the creativity and tastiness of each dish. So far we've loved the gnocchi (kid-approved too!) and the risotto. We will definitely be back regularly.
Popped in here with our family of 4 and my wife’s parents. Chicken fettuccini was fantastic and my eldest (5) enjoyed some spaghetti bolognese. Super fresh pasta, hot, and very well prepared. The seating area is extremely clean and very nice. Looking forward to coming back soon!
I just had to try this Pork Belly Risotto by Phillip'n Italian. They're located inside Oshawa's Market at 70 King. It just sounded so good but the taste was a little confusing. The pork belly was absolutely delicious, with nice caramelized edges giving it a nice texture. The flavour was really good. The risotto, on its own, was good but these two components didn't match very well for me. Maybe I'm too familiar with Asian foods. I think I would have preferred a traditional mushroom risotto. The service was excellent, warm and friendly. I'll be back!
We got to try it. They have good mixed flavors, the portions are reasonable, price is a bit overpriced. We did take out and by the time we got home 16min París pasta overcooked and wasn't aldente.
Awesome fusion of 2 authentic, delicious cuisines: Filipino and Italian--who knew they would complement each other! Chef Faye & Peter proved to be inspiring culinary creatives! Tried 4 different chef specialties and my faves are Caldereta Gnocchi & Shrimp Fettucini in Palabok sauce! Can't wait to try more!
Gnocchi with beef brisket (chef’s recommendation). Other pasta was “build your own pasta”.
What a refreshing take on Italian food. I ordered the create your own pasta and it was delicious. The pasta noodles are made fresh and the marinara was top notch. I highly recommend visiting if you want fresh authentic Italian food with a twist .
Great experience, yummy food . We will be back
Ordered a simple pasta with marinara sauce for kids but it came out to be too salty with too much sauce.
First time i got to try this place tonight it was amazing pasta amazing service This place is definitely a must try Food : 5/5 | Service
Great food, excellent staff, portions are good well recommended. Will refer to family and friends. Keep it up! Kid-friendliness: Love pasta
Wasnt sure what to expect! This place blew me away. Amazing flavours.
The best chicken Alfredo I ve ever had! The pasta was so fresh and the sauce was perfectly creamy and flavourful!!
Although it was a bit expensive I would say it s very worth buying! Love it
Food was amazing and the staff/service was an 11/10! Highly recommend.
I got the pork belly risotto and my friend got the gnocchi dish. They were both hot, fresh and delicious I will definitely be going back there.
The fusion of Filipino and Italian food is an interesting concept. Wasnt sure it would work, but this restaurant proved me wrong. We were on vaca for the labor weekend and glad we tried the food here. Ordered the fusulli kare-kare, gnocchi caldereta, and pork belly risotto. All 3 were excellent but my fave is the gnocchi. The texture was just right and the caldereta sauce put it on another level. We we will definitely stop here again when we comeback
The one chef knows sundried tomatoes and olives are the best toppings on a sauce.
The people that run this are cute and they make the bombest pasta
I came here and was greeted by very friendly staff. The was great and the dessert too. I got a Taro Tiramisu and was very pleased! I recommend trying this place :)
Vota vota was delicious!
Really grossed out by the chicken in the pasta. It was super dark which meant it was really old, and the texture was basically like rubber. For the price this was unacceptable, I feel ripped off. The pasta was $25 which is almost a restaurant level price, but the quality was extremely low.
the food is amazing! service is exceptional! I git the chicken fusilli, it comes with peanut sauce and I tried their Halo halo, it was the BEST halo halo Ive tried. I never got a chance to take a photo. Im definitely coming back.
The food is on point. The staff are very friendly. We tried the vota vota and create your own pasta, both dishes are amazing.
Calderwta Gnocchi is the best! The service is fast and the food quality is superb.
I enjoyed the experience I had here.
Ordered the Caldereta Gnocchi and was blown away by how tender the meat was and how pillowy soft the handmade pasta was. But what you absolutely cannot miss is the Halo-Halo! Its all tucked within a gorgeous new space with options for everyone. We will be back again!
I had the Pork Belly Risotto and WOW tender and loaded with flavor! Will have to come back to try their other dishes.
This was our first time visiting this place. I like the overall atmosphere but it s a bit noisy. But clean and fresh, nice renovation and kinda kool inside. We tried the pork belly risotto which was very small but rich and tasty and the lasagna which was ok. The portions seemed undersized We ate in, so we could try some dessert afterwards. My husband got homemade ice cream from the place across the way. Delicious! I would order the risotto again but not the lasagna. We shared both in order to try different things. My husband agreed that the lasagna was just ok. It took a long time to get our food. Staff were friendly.
I really enjoyed the gnocchi and ube tiramisu. The service was friendly and its a nice relaxing atmosphere.
I tried this place for the first time and I thought it was really good. I did the create your own pasta, fettuccine with rose sauce, parmesan and cherry tomatoes and it was really good. I dont normally like any kind of tomatoes but this place made it work very well with it. I highly recommend checking them out
Not worth the price, it s expensive, small portion.
Great Food and Great Staff! Everything was made fresh. Our food was served hot and it was so good..
Tried them out for the first time today. I ordered the Caldereta gnocchi and omg I was in heaven. Absolutely delicious!!! Also just to counteract some of the reviews I m seeing about portion sizes ..I was very happy with the portion size I received, and thought it was definitely worth the money. Not sure if these people are expecting to feed a family of four off one dish or what lmao.
I orders the milk and fish rosatto and the food was good but the portion left much to be desired it was pretty small especially for how much to costed ar the time being $17.99 and I also ordered a build your own pasta and the portion was much better
Glad that this was recommended to us. The food was great! Lasagna and Milkfish risotto is perfect!
The food was delicious. I enjoyed the Caldereta Gnocchi very much! Wonderful flavours, great size and fresh! I look forward to trying much more of their menu. Welcome to Oshawa!
Everything we ate was delicious!! The lasagna was to die for! Service was fast and friendly. We will definitely be going back! I want to try everything on the menu!
Amazing atmosphere, very friendly service and a very delicious blend of Filipino and Italian food, loved the vota vota. Will definitely be back soon
Tried out Philippin Italian the other day, it was great. Had the fennel vota vota, the bread was fresh and had a nice chew, the sausage was perfectly seasoned and the spinach and sundried tomatoes were very fresh. Service was great, chef even came out to ask how we were enjoying the food. The venue is pretty neat, its a food court layout but is very well designed and modern. Will definitely be returning.
We went in for friends and family day to support this new concept in Oshawa and we were not disappointed. Quick service with a smile and delicious food to back it up. We had the fennel sausage vota vota, do try it. Breads a tad chewy with a crisp exterior, meatballs were spiced right and was a good bite with the spinach/ sun dried tomatoes. The space is beautiful and choices are plenty but definitely give these guys a try. We are going back for the hand made pastas.
The pasta is so fresh and soft, and the Filipino Italian fusion flavours just go so well together. Unique, top quality, generous portion. Currently our favourite pasta place in the GTA. Thank you and we wish you continued success!
Tried the caldereta gnocchi dish and was blown away with the combination. Soooo good. I instantly recognized the liver spread taste which made it so authentic. The owner said she could make it spicy if asked. Would definitely come back.
We were SO impressed with the food and friendly service we actually got additional take out after dining in! The pork belly risotto is delicious but I can t wait to go back and try more menu items Food
Who knew Pasta could be this good ! Travelled 40 minutes from Markham to try this and it was worth it. Chef Peter made an amazing lunch for my family. Highly recommended.
Delicious food and amazing atmosphere! Highly recommend for those who are looking to experience a delightful fusion of Italian and Philippino food with the warmth of home cooking. Food
Not only the main dishes. This Halo halo desert is amazing!!
The food here is delicious. I understand why pasta with peanut-based sauce is popular. The sauce is very tasty. I will visit again.
