the owner had a rough start but i think he is worth a second try he did clean up a degenerate place unfortunately he did not add to the visual of listening to music and it drove all the old customers away - he seems to be trying now and it is enjoyable to sit in the very clean marble area he has made - please keep it up adding stage lights some character with decor

The recent decore upgrades make a bit of a difference. They shouldnt keep reserved tables when people dont show up for the band.

It was fantastic as per usual

Worked here for four months , they used me to train students then my shifts were given away to them when questioned I was let go. Overall terrible experience great people that go there owners how ever are a different story.

Worse food ever dont go there I got food poisoning

Went for first since Reno. Very disappointed. Lights away too bright. Had to leave headache from bright lights . Stage move not good - waitress has to walk in front all time. Poor waitress must been first job. No clue how to serve or what on menu Said water not good have to buy bottled water which not cold Went to see Mark. Doubt if be back. Used to be good and good friendly waitress Not comfortable now

Server Brooklyn was attentive friendly and upbeat. Food was very good. Beer was cold. The atmosphere was delightful. All in all my friends and I loved it. Parking: A few spots in the front but plenty of parking in the back.

Overall a great dine-in experience, atmosphere was wonderful, nice food and excellent service by Tam.

I typically go to this dive once a week for some pub fare and a beer or two . Since the remodel the quality of food is awful . I throughly enjoyed the calamari from the previous menu , however now its more expensive and of less quality as well as being cooked until it resembled leather in texture . Food

A classic bar & music lounge in Oshawa. Its been recently renovated with a brighter and more modern design. Food is very good and well priced. A good place to chill and listen to small community bands :)

Food was awful and not cooked got wings sause was not good wings where barely warm and not cooked hopefully I wont get food poisoning calamari also not cooked. I also messed up on tip amount and card was close to machine I wanted to go back to change cause you didnt deserve $14.00 and oh its too late is what the server said lol.....no actually you should have just gave back from your pocket half of the tip amount I will be calling your manager tomorrow cause today was enough for me to deal with stupidity. Dont waste your money on food here or try to eat it you might get sick. Never again tried you and you failed.

Not the old Simcoe Blues anymore, wonderful new management and beautiful renovations. The atmosphere is much better than before, and the new staff are outstanding. Brooklynn, the bar manager, goes above and beyond for all her clients, shes very customer focused and amazing at accomodating whenever she can.

Abysmal experience due to deplorable service and food that isnt as described in the menu. We arrived as a party of ten, with reservations, at 6:00 and we were the only table seated at the time. Placing order for drinks and apps took a while because the waitress kept running back to the bar to input our orders. I asked to see the cocktail menu but was told they didnt have one which I found surprising since it this is a restobar. I then asked for a fruity cocktail and was offered a rum and coke! Drinks were served pretty quickly but we asked for water for the table which didnt arrive until 7:00 which was when we finally got to place our meal orders and the apps were long gone! After we placed our meal orders, three members of our group received their food by 7:30. The next two meals (lobster mac and cheese which was strangely lacking cheese) came about 15 minutes later. The final five meals came one by one between 8:00 and 8:45. Three of the orders were for fish and chips, which all came out at different times, and were not hot and tasted bland. The quesadillas should have been described as a wrap since none of the vegetables were cooked, were cut into huge chunks, and the cheese was not melted, nor was the dish hot. It did not come with salsa or sour cream. The wait staff told us around 8:00 that because our food was delayed, we would receive a 15% discount on our meals, so we decided then to go ahead with the order instead of canceling. When one of our party members asked at 8:30 when the final fish and chips would be arriving, the waitress yelled at her. When we received the bill, we were told that we would be getting a coupon for our next visit, not the promised 15% discount, and that we should have canceled our order if the delay was an issue! We were trying to be patient since we could see they were clearly understaffed and in the end, the manager made it sound like it was our fault that we werent being discounted. The manager, who is the daughter of the owner, told us that we couldnt speak to him, even though he was in the (now quiet) kitchen. No one in our party will be returning but honouring the 15% discount on our meals could have changed our minds and left a more favourable impression of this establishment. Its pretty standard in the industry that when there are delays with food orders, the meal is comped or discounted. Instead of having a massive menu that the cooks clearly cant handle (and FYI the menu online is even bigger!), keep it simple and maybe your kitchen can handle an influx of guests. Also, buy warm LED bulbs that can be dimmed. Most people enjoy eating their meal without the feeling of being in an operating or interrogation room.

A bar that could use some life brought back to it but we enjoyed ourselves anyway with some live blue grass music and very well priced wine. Brooklynn was very attentive and friendly.

This is my go to bar and lounge, the music is great, employees are very customer service friendly and the vibes just speak for itself. As for the food, definitely beat my expectations.

I went for a dine in with me and my family last week and it was the worst experience ever they served us food with a piece of hair in it and didn t wanna accommodate the staff was rude and disrespectful. The steak was undercooked and wasn t served the way it should have been. I wouldn t recommend this place to anyone

This place was a 5 star place that needed some love and marketing to help get some energy into it. Thursday night karaoke, a deal for student, something like that. Now it has been refurbished and the only word to describe it is Beetlejuice The soul was ripped out, and the body was desecrated. The worst part, when it become empty in 3 months, there won t be any way to recover what it used to be. The place was murdered.

Discovered a true local gem! The food here is fantastic, with delicious West Indian dishes like chicken vindaloo and rice. The ambiance is just right, enhanced by great music and live performances. It s not too crowded, allowing for a more relaxed dining experience. If you enjoy a vibrant atmosphere with excellent food, you ll definitely love it here.

Wanted a place to chill and sing a little. Wow! it was great, I got to sing with the live band at Karaoke hehe, and it was the best twist for my birthday ever. Also, the location is right on the tranist (bus) 901. Lastly, the food was yummy hehe in my tummy, I had chicken wings, Greek salad, and garlic bread. Thank you!!! Food

Some of my friends are in a band that performs there. I have yet to eat there, but from what others have said , it is ok . Drink prices are reasonable. The crowd varies from night to night, but mainly well behaved older set .

I recently started working the door at this bar for my friend Jack and his band. Good atmosphere, crowd is really nice people a lot nicer than bars I used to work in the shwa. Carolyn and the other staff worked as hard as they could, including looking after me making sure I had water as I dont drink anymore, wings were good also, owner was nice. I will be back may 6th!!

I felt so bad for the only Bartender- waitress! She had to call in helpl! Still we were waiting 20 mins for our drinks! I dont think they were ready for THE HORSFALLS She did a great job+ is super nice! Its a nice little pub in Oshawa!

Terrible service and the food tastes old

the food was really good! however, we found the potato skins to be a bit empty. there wasnt really any potato in them, and i know its skins, but at least have a bit of potato in them. as for service, weve had to send things back multiple times as they were missing something or they were simply not what we ordered. but the staff there are super nice and have no problem taking stuff back! the atmosphere is relaxing but lively at the same time if that makes sense. the music is wonderful and everyone is content. id definitely recommend visiting! p.s. the burgers are literally keeping me alive at this point

Been here once for solo artist night. Most of the music was good. Dan & Shane stone we re phenomenal. The establishment it s self is quite dingy in my opinion. Food is not worth the price. Espically the excuse they serve as nachos . There beer selection is Horrible all in all not a horrible experience, but I also wouldn t highly recommend!! Will how ever attend only on nights with Dan & Shane preforming

Great music. Service was terrible unless youre a regular it seems. The guy beside me had 2 beers before they even took my order, then they took orders during mine. It was 13 minutes for 2 cans of beer and a rum and coke. Never did get any table service or food options.

I order the curry beef on rice but very little meat lots of sauce and rice. Still not full i had to order fries with gravey food alone came to 23 dollars. Drinks were overpriced because the band was playing. You have to go down a steep flight of stairs to go to the restroom and my knees cant handle that.

Music was excellent. Saw The Buttercups. Everyone enjoyed the food except this triangle pieces of fish were not pleasant at all. Otherwise an excellent evening out.

Food was surprisingly fast and tasty and everyone was super nice. We came on a slow night but I d love to see this place packed - they def have the space for a big crowd!

An older venue for listening to an older band, but the music by the Blue Moose was fabulous. Could have used a bigger dance floor and the staff was a bit overwhelmed by the moderate crowd for a Saturday night. Beer was cold, but so was the room.

This place has such a warm and friendly atmosphere. The decor and lighting is perfect for the music based theme and the service here is fast and friendly. They attract some very talented bands to play and the sound here is amazing. The food here is outstanding. An amazing selection to choose from. The location of this place is perfectly situated and accessable from anywhere in Oshawa and the surrounding area.

The atmosphere was cool and the service is great. Only reason i dont give 5 stars is because i didnt like the chicken wings. They are small. Other places ive bee to are 2 or 3 times the size of what i got.

We made an impromptu stop here while looking for Jazz in Durham. Its an older looking place with typical bar food. Lots of seating. The jazz did not disappoint! Great music and we were well looked after

Came here with my dad for an open mic night. Friendly staff, quick service. Good mixed crowd. Has a old pub feel to it. Everyone gets along , nice mixed crowd from different backgrounds.

Have enjoyed great finger foods, fantastic service and excellent live bands at this venue. Local and award winning musician Jack de Keyzer took the time last weekend to dedicate a song and pose with my friend Carol in honour of her birthday! Hometown proud!

The place was packed by 8 pm. The band had lead + bass guitar, saxophonist + keyboard player. They played constant blues + sounded phenomenal. They are a must see would gladly go again!
