The absolute worst shawarma Ive ever had, and Ive had lots of great and decent shawarma. But this couldnt be called shawarma. Ordered from Skip as I was craving a slow cooked shawarma. I ordered a platter. What I got was what could happen if you prompted ChatGPT for an okay shawarma platter. Not a great platter, not a good platter but an ok platter. Instead of rice and potatoes, I got overcooked French fries and rice. The lettuce was partly wilted in the salad and there was no dressing, and they charged extra for the mixed salad. No red peppers either that i asked for. The worst part was the chicken. Instead of slow cooked rotisserie chicken with all the right herbs and spices, I got sliced chicken breast coated in a shawarma sauce. Incredibly disappointed and will not order from again. I should have questioned a new restaurant with that many good reviews so quickly after opening. Ill stick to shawarma made authentically.

Just ordered from here. We ordered a few items to try. Sadly, we didn t receive a Donair Shwarma Wrap. Instead, we got three separate French fry items . Also, I just tried the Baklava and I am shocked - it s hard and actually tastes like plastic. There s an odd taste in my mouth that I can t seem to get rid of. This dessert is most definitely store bought. We will not be ordering food from here again. We are very disappointed.

Great service! Veggies were really fresh even in the middle of the weekdays!! which proves that they give more importance to the quality over quantity. Falafel were freshly made in front of our eyes. And they cleanly maintain the segregation between non-veg and veg. Hence, I highly recommend even for pure vegetarians to give it a try.. We ordered Poutine (Veg gravy), one small pita wrap, and a box of 12 Falafels, which came with veggies toppings, too. Its really worth it for the bucks! We have eaten their rolls ice cream multiple times before itself. Vegetarian options: Falafel, veggie wrap. Paneer was not available that day, though. Kid-friendliness: They were very accommodating kids choices and patiently handling.

I had paneer shawarma on 27th May evening and the taste was really good. It has became my go to place for shawarma as well as ice cream. The Ferrero rocher ice cream is really good. Heli served really good and greeted us very well.

By far my favourite shawarma restaurant in Durham region; I recommend it to anyone who is looking for a great tasting meal with good sized portions at a reasonable price. I used to work on the Danforth for years and it is better than any shawarma place that I remember from down there. Friendly staff and many gluten and other allergy-friendly options; I am in there about three or four times a week lately. 100% recommend.

The best thing about this place is the consistency in customer service. Sunil is a great guy. He greets us every time very politely and nicely. And, on top of that the consistency of food taste and food quality is fabulous. It s the best place in town to have Shawarma and Falafel. They also have great options in sauces. My go to shawarma place! Always get the chicken shawarma plate and it s never disappointed. Staff are so friendly and make it one of my favourite dinners. I get the chicken packed in foil separately (my son doesn t like sauce on his chicken), also on top of the hummus, I ask for the (amazing, home made) garlic on top with a bit of harissa. Perfect for dipping the pita bread into. Oh and those garlic potatoes so good!

The falafel plate that I tried today was awesome. Falafels were freshly prepared, garlic potatoes were yummy and the sauces were too good. Totally worth it! Would definitely be trying other items from this place Update 05/08: I tried their falafel wrap and chicken shawarma wrap today. Chicken shawarma didn t taste good and I had to throw it away. The wraps in general are very soggy due to the sauces drenching the bread. I will not choose this option anymore. On another note 2 regular wraps cost 13.99 in Uber eats but the same costs $20 if you pickup directly from them. Was surprised to see that diff.

I think I may have found a gem. I only got to try their Special Shawarma wrap for $6.99 which is a smaller version but nonetheless it filled my stomach. It tasted good and the toppings were generous which I really liked about this place. I forgot to take a picture since I was enjoying the wrap. Customer service was super friendly and welcoming. I will come back again to try the other items and to try their rolled ice cream

Just got my food from this shawarma spot and it s amazing! The customer service is nice the employees are nice and the atmosphere overall is amazing would recommend going here if you love shawarma like I do!

Mind blowing Shawarma here. They use a specialized pita (roomali roti like) for their large wraps and that s a MUST try. We got the garlic sauce, tahini and the spicy mayo.

2nd visit (Feb 2024): I ordered the large shawarma. Unfortunately, it had very little chicken inside. It was basically a lettuce sandwich. I was quite disappointed. The sandwich also completely fell apart and I couldnt even hold it at the end. The sauces were good otherwise. Garlic potatoes were great. Very fair prices. 1st visit. Great place for shawarma with fair prices. I had a large shawarma and it was loaded, they do not skimp out on filling which is great. The harissa paste is very spicy so be careful lol. I wish the chicken was a crispier and the sauces were a little stronger, but overall great shawarma. There was no lineup when I went and the owner served me, for context. It was still a little slow but it was worth it. And for anyone wondering, their halal chicken supplier is an HMA certified shop.

Pretty disappointed considering this place has close to a 5 star rating. Ordered a chicken shawarma plate for $20. More than half of it had potatoes as seen in the photo. At one point we were wondering if we actually ordered chicken or potatoes. Chicken shawarma itself was okay but had quite a bit of oil.

Potatoes were fresh and crispy especially after a 30min drive home the quality remained, but a bit too salty. Chicken was OK, rice tasted old, salad was OK, hummus was bland and lacked any flavour but seemed home made, alter your hummus recipe put some garlic and lemon. Service was great and atmosphere is clean. Its a decent shawarma but there is certainly room for improvement. Nonetheless, I still ate everything and it satisfied my hunger and shawarma craving.

Our new fav swarma spot the portions are more than generous and the prices are fair aswell. The swarma wraps are huge! The chicken and donair meat is nice and juicy, the potatoes with garlic on top so flavourful. Their sauces and stuff are made in house with no added msg. The owner is so friendly. I also love the falafels they are slightly different from other food places we ve had. We are repeat customers

Best shawarma plate I ve had in Durham region, easily. Everything on my plate including sauces are fresh and flavourful. The shawarma plate came with the best garlic potatoes I ve ever had, AND a generous helping of fresh hummus and fried pita chips which I haven t seen from most other shawarma places - especially chains. I ll also mention the chicken shawarma was white meat which surprised me - most other places use dark - and it had great flavour. I ve been to many different Shawarma spots all over Ontario and I have to say that this spot is definitely one of, if not, even the best shawarma spot I ve had the pleasure of eating at. The thing that puts this place an over the rest is the staff. The owner is also always working everyday at the front making sure that he greets everyone with the same welcoming and friendly attitude as the first time I ve been there. He doesn t seem to forget a face because he knows my exact order each time as well. You can really tell that the food here is homemade and made fresh. If you re looking for a local business with great food, reasonable price, and big portions, this is the spot for you. Highly, HIGHLY recommend this place!

got there at 11:30 right when they opened. it was my friend who noticed their now open sign while we were across the street. we decided to give it a shot and were glad we did. the service is phenomenal, the gentleman who took our order was very friendly, patient, and helpful suggesting items, despite it being our first time there and the fact we were unfamiliar with the menu and ingredients. everything is made fresh every day and tastes fantastic. they are very generous with portions and the price is reasonable considering the quality of food youre getting. while all I had was a shawarma, I can say with certainty that it was fantastic, and i will be returning a lot. i also tried the rolled ice cream and it was likewise great. looking forward to my next visit.

BEWARE of new owners!! I used to get shawarma from here all the time and it was amazing, I should of known when the guy said new owner that I shouldn t have ordered but I decided to go ahead and try them out. Big mistake. Turned out to be one of the worst shawarmas I ever tasted, the beef was inedible and it just had an overwhelming curry taste which is not shawarma at all.

Ive been to many shawarma spots in Toronto and Waterloo and this is by far the most flavorful. Everything is seasoned perfectly. I highly recommend their shawarma plate. Theres about five different types of sauces. Their potatoes alone are incredible. Definitely worth making the trip here!
