Dirty and not fresh food ...

I had a wonderful dining experience at Afghan Kebab. I tried the Kabuli Polo, and it was absolutely delicious! The staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming, making the experience even better. I also tried their cheesecake and Firni for dessert both were as amazing as the main course. I highly recommend this place for anyone looking to enjoy authentic Afghan cuisine with excellent service

Very clean, great customer service, I was accommodated really well, given options if the food wasnt spicy enough for me and food was so well cooked. Fries were so good for the kids. Definitely recommend to try this authentic Afghani cuisine.

Excellent food and friendly service. I highly recommend this restaurant as they went out of the way for my dietary needs. Dietary restrictions: Im on a Keto diet and ordered the Sultani Platter but asked for the rice and naan to be replaced with some extra salad. They offered to provide a Greek salad at no extra cost, which is even better for a Keto diet.

The lady she is amazing I asked her she is the owner of this restaurant, I really love her customer service, she always keep her customers happy every time she asked me for green tea which is Afghani traditional, she never charge me for tea. sometime I feel I come to my aunt house she taking care of all customers as her guests. The food is different from other Afghan cuisines it s same like we cook at our home. The food is with original flavours. I really like her cleanliness I never smell any food when I entered to the restaurant. Whenever I am visiting Ottawa I always visiting this restaurant because of its quality and more quantity. 5 five years I never seen any changes in her quality and quantity the prices are cheaper compared to other restaurants. I always recommended this restaurant to my known my friends and family. Kid-friendliness: The owner is really kind and friendly- This restaurant has no parking but you can park in front of this location. Which is pay parking or if you park in front street there it s free parking because this is in downtown. The customer service is really good I like the owner kindness. She care of each customers like MoM

A friend of ours recently ordered some food for us via Uber eats. Food quality was excellent! Unfortunately there was an item missing. We called the store and they were very sincere and apologetic over the phone. They took the time to personally deliver the missing item along with some additional drinks on the house. What an excellent and reasonably priced restaurant in downtown Ottawa! I was greeted with dates and tea when I entered and once I sat down, my order of Mantu and Qabuli Lamb Shank were brought to me! I devoured everything so quickly as it was very good, the Mantu had an excellent flavourful filling and the lamb shank was so tender and juicy! I will be back again.

Been going here for a while since I have moved to Ottawa. Amazing place. They hosted one of our work events and they so attentive and even offered us complimentary dessert and tea. If you go here, you must try their Beef Chapli kabob. Amazing.

Very slow service. Almost 30 minutes of waiting to eat lamb and the restaurant was empty (Saturday around 4:00 p.m.). The restaurant which needs renovation because it is very old. However the food is excellent and very hot To try without hesitation. Parking: Must park in a paid area

Where do i start? The food was absolutely delicious. I had the chicken shami; one of the best flavoured chicken i ever had. I was absolutely impressed. Not to mention, as we were eating, a very kind lady came to ask us how our meal was and if we needed anything, to let her know. You dont get this kind of service these days at smaller restaurants. You usually just order and pay for your food, then sit down for your meal. Here, the lady (maybe the owner?) went the extra mile to take care of us. Thank you soo much All i can say is amazing food, and amazing service. Thank you soo much for making my visit an amazing experience. Definitely will be back.

Coming here was an amazing decision for me and my friend. The service was wonderful, it was a very clean environment and the food was nothing short of absolutely delicious. This is one of the few places that I would give a 5 star rating in Ottawa. If youre looking for an authentic Afghani restaurant, this is definitely a place you should go.

I love this place. Nothing fancy decor-wise but its a clean eat-in restaurant with very nice chefs and staff. Aside from that, the food is just plain delicious and servings are pretty huge. My favourite meal is the Drumstick Platter which gets you a healthy serving of rice with 4 well-seasoned drumsticks, salad and naan. Their prices are fair for the quality and quantity of food you get. Its takes a while to get your food because this isnt a fast-food place - your food gets cooked after you order it (love that), so dont be in a big hurry. Ive been there many times (including take-out), will continue to go, not only for the food, but because I am treated well there - great customer service.

Halal lamb shank!!! A very good place to enjoy the lamb shank, meat is so tender and delicious!!! I have never seen such warm customer service by the owner!!! I would highly recommend to enjoy the food and experience in that restaurant!!! It s my go to place now for every weekends.

Delicious Afghan food right in the heart of downtown Ottawa. Just a few steps away from Parliament hill. The place is super clean and provides a home style environment for dine costumers. The food is also very healthy and super filling. To anyone planning on going, order the tandoori chicken plate, you won t regret it :)

If youre looking for a restaurant with big portions of delicious food, I highly recommend this place! I absolutely love it. The only thing I would suggest is that they increase the portion size of the yogurt in their meal combo, as its currently quite small. Other than that, the food is always tasty and satisfying. Check it out if youre in the area!

I used love this till today. I order food from them Three times a week. Today I got a plate of trios. The beef kababs were from hours and hours before. they just warm them up for me. They were probably leftovers from a cancelled order. In their salad box I could count the pieces onion and tomatos. The sauces: even though I got two extra each had couple drops in it. I knew the inflation is high you are trying to reduces your cost and expense but dont reduce the quantity of food you put in customers plate. If cant run it or cant afford to run, close it. This place used very good but now it is getting worse day by day. It continues like this there are other places.

I like the simple atmosphere and the decorations there depocting afghan motifs. The cuisine is heavy with meats, so very few vegetarian/vegan options. With that said, the bolani was really tasty and filling.

Hands down the best kabob place in Ottawa. The meat is always tender, the rice is never sticky, & the naan is always fresh. I have been here over a dozen times & have never had an issue with the food. The bolani is also phenomenal!

The visit to Afghani Kabob restaurant wasnt planned. We were in the area and decided to try the nearest Kabab place. The food was 5 stars, we loved every dish we ordered. We dine in but the restaurant has a fast food vibe. I might try this place again if I was in the area.

Amazing food and service!

They just re-opened and I was so lucky to come in for lunch to have their mantu dumplings!! I was so hungry that I wolfed down half of it before I took a photo. The portion was large and the dumplings were bursting with a perfect balance of spice and textures. I m a big dumpling snob and this mantu doesn t disappoint. Under new management so please check them out.

This restaurant is the BEST!!!! If youre getting a platter you NEED to get the Kabulli rice its extra but soooo worth it! Also the portions are phenomenal and you have to try the Bolani - I literally live for that! Just overall a phenomenal restaurant and the people there are also sooo sweet. Its hard to find a place that has good quality food like this and amazing people!

From the moment we stepped into Afghani Kabob Express, we were warmly greeted by Kris, a generous host who immediately made us feel at home. On her recommendation, we tried the beef shami kabobs, and oh, what a delightful choice it was! The kabobs were succulent, perfectly seasoned, and had that authentic taste that transported us straight to the heart of Afghanistan. Thank you for the mango lassis! We will be back again. Visited this restaurant for the first time over lunch and had a great experience. Ordered the beef Qorma and it was delicious! Savoury sauce, tender chunks of beef and very generous portions of salad, rice, and fresh naan. Still have leftovers for tomorrows lunch! Would highly recommend visiting, the people who work there are incredibly nice. Also get the mango lassi, it was sweet and refreshing.

Ordered for delivery, one of the best Afghan food I have ever had! Ordered the meal for two, amazing portions, we had plenty left over. Their beef qorma is by far the best beef qorma I have ever had from an Afghani restaurant. The naan was hot and fresh. One thing I wish was they had given more of the white sauce, but other than that the meal was perfect!

This has become one of my go-to places for some lamb, each time I find myself craving a biriyani, but a lighter version of it. Theirs comes with qabuli rice, which is extremely delicious, although I would not mind if they had a slightly lower use of oil (ghee, I suspect?) in it. The lamb is always falling off the bone! :) yum! The price to quality (and quantity!) ratio is great for now, and I do hope they keep it up. As a side note, their salads are big and scrumptious, too, and their firnis are a gentle kick for those with a sweetooth that do not want sharp sweetness in their dessert :)

I bought French fries on May 15 th abs we went to Wasaga beach to relax and eat our meal . Once we got there and opened the box found a long hair in that. I just was not able to return it immediately as I was out of Toronto. However , a big guy came to me and threatened me to live because it is their property and I was told get out of here. I really feel unsafe when the big guy came to me. Please stay awwwway of this dirty food . They should have apologized me . Instead I was told get out of our property. Stay awwwway of such people.

The lamb qabuli palao was incredibly good, staff were very polite, as well. Excellent price to quality ratio. If its always this good, Im a repeat customer.

I ordered from this restaurant last night and the food was pathetic i ordered chicken qorma and that was not even a chicken with gravy whatever it was they cooked it in pressure cooker and when we received it it wad shredded chicken with watery gravy with oil and I can see red pepper powder was floating on the watery gravy s surface it was a disaster last but not the least it motivated me to start my own restaurant because if such restaurants with horrible food are doing good in business so can anyone I have that qorma kind thing s picture but I don t want those people suffer who loves chicken qorma I have a suggestion there s a thing that is called recipe and you can find it on YouTube..go and watch anyyyy qorma recipe and then sell it

Not too busy when I went. I always enjoyed the food. Not too much communication but whenever it happens staff were friendly and nice. Mainly a take-out or doordash or ubereats place but has some seats for dine in which is what I do when I visit.
