I ve had the food from here numerous times and every time has been great. I really recommend the coconut hot and sour soup and the spicy sate peanut noodle soup.

Authentic and very very delicious

Uber eats so cannot speak for service or atmosphere, however my food was amazing. Beyond meat dumplings & vegan pad thai 10/10 so good!!

The building is unassuming but MAN is the food delicious and they have a huge vegan menu.

Wei s noodle house, I ordered a tonkatsu black ramen and curry chicken on rice yesterday. This was supplied without the broth to the ramen, and without the rice to the curry. Very disappointed in this incomplete product.

We went to the one on Portabello for dinner. We were 5 and the only ones dining in at first. The dirty table took a while to clean and our orders were also slow to be taken. Our order included. Shrimp Wonton soup, pork belly bok choy soup, 2 vermicelli bowls and 1 rice bowl plus a deep fried wonton appetizer. The appetizer was bland. The soups came first. The wontons were pastie and the broth was like chewing on star anise. The pork belly broth was actually decent and should have been used for the wontons. We had to wait another 25 minutes for the remaining bowls to arrive. The table beside us that arrived later received one of their dishes before the bowls arrived. The nuac cham sauce with the bowls were extremely sweet. The bowls came with options for skewers. Visually you could not tell what was pork vs beef as they all looked the same. I m assuming it was the beef that was hard and chewy. It was not a satisfying meal in the least. The table that had a single dish served before our remaining three did not receive another dish before we finished our meal. The third table that arrived was served everything before the second table. At about $20 an entree, we will not go back. Weis provided catering for a 14 person family dinner for me last week. We coordinated by email and communication was very smooth. They delivered several trays of delicious vegan food that everyone loved, including the non-vegans. Specifically we got tofu pad thai, saucy tofu, mushroom skewers, vegan chicken fried rice, curry veggie tofu, and papaya salad. There was tons of food, which was great; we sent home several happy guests with leftovers and still had lots for ourselves. We would absolutely order catering from them again. Additionally, weve been ordering takeout from Weis for several years and were always super happy to go back to them. Theyre an Ottawa vegan must have. Amazing flavour and a great variety of Asian food options.

I dont understand all the good reviews. The staffs are great, but the food is quite below average. The grilled beef was plain and not marinated properly, the soup was watery and not rich. It is overpriced for what you get. Also everything is served in disposable plates, hot soup in plastic container, so you might be concened about your health and environment.

Tried the gochujang vegan chicken and rice cakes at the Vegans who snack festival and it was my favourite taste and texture on point, it was sooo good !!

Ordered online, wait time was 35 minutes. Ended up taking them almost an hour and 45 minutes. I cancelled my order. Pad thai doesnt take that long.

I am so pleased to have found this place. I heard about it on a local podcast and decided to give it a try. The food is delicious and portions are excellent for sharing or saving some for leftovers. Vegetarian options: There are plenty of veg options :) I have been making my way down the vegan menu and have not been disappointed in anything yet. My favourites so far is the garlic chili tofu, the Singapore veggie and tofu, the pad Thai with vegan meats and the fresh rice wraps.

I love Weis Vegan menu! Thank you for being careful about cross-contamination and having so many amazing options for the Ottawa vegan community. Ive been a customer for years and the food is always consistent. Ive probably eaten almost every item on their vegan menu lol. My absolute favorites are: saucy tofu, vegan pho, vegan pad Thai, papaya salad and vegan chickn bites.

Great hidden gem / hole in the wall restaurant. They really should have some sort of signage outside. You enter the remax and go down the stairs, looks like a cafeteria with converted to this little restaurant which serves fantastic food. You will not be disappointed.

We ordered and picked up from Wei s, and we were blown away by how delicious the food was, and by how much we got for the price! My leftovers lasted me 3 days. The staff was friendly, worked quickly, and took care of all of our dietary restrictions. I definitely recommend trying out Wei s if you re in Ottawa! You won t regret it

Great food, could use more dietary restriction symbols (ie. for gluten intolerance) on the digital menu. Basement setting is cozy but a little noisy.

The food is pretty darn good, but waiting over an hour for my food to be prepared with a doordasher on standby is inexcusable. I would never had ordered if I knew it would take this long.

If you judge a book by its cover... you may just miss the best foodie romance saga of your life. No, not novel, as after stumbling on this hole in the.. basement.. there will be many more chapters to this love-affair saga. I googled ramen near me, and based on the star ratings, gave this a shot. At first assumed it was closed, as theres no hit of it in the remax parking lot. I looked again.. and true enough the door was unlocked and it was down a flight of stairs. Sorry, this place is not in any way mobile friendly that I could see. As soon as Id started down the stairs, my nose let me know Id likely made a wise choice. The foot was incredible, and I have to agree with the rater who led me, its the best ramen Ive ever had. The place smelled so good, and I had such a hard time choosing, I also ordered their pad thai, which was decent. A very large part of their menu could be vegetarian. Anyway. Just. Yes. Go. Careful where you pack in the back, theres lots of parking, but some spots are reserved, as per the signs. Enjooy! Only complaint, wish theyd change to compostable, bring your own, or some other method of dishes, as the trash was overflowing from the take out containers they serve in, even if youre staying in. I wonder if theyd fill a plate / bowl if you brought one. I bet they would. Vegetarian options: Seems they cater heavily to vegetarians. Parking: Lots of spots, but watch for signs, many are private. Wheelchair accessibility: I could not see that this was at all wheelchair accessible. I saw lots of stairs.

While there are a few tables, this is primarily a take out restaurant. We didnt know and came to dine in, but the staff were friendly and helped make it a really nice experience. Food was delicious and the menu has something for everyone, including a lot of vegan options. Vegetarian options: Entire vegan menu and chefs were flexible to make other items with vegan options

The definition of a hidden gem (given its quite literally hidden in the basement of a ReMax building). Dont let the bare presentation of the place fool you, all the effort is going into what matters: the food. Staff are super friendly too. I had the Fresh Salad Rice Paper Wraps, Fried Rice with Mix Veggie and Tofu and Ginger Lemonade! This was my first and only experience with Weis - took a chance based on the good reviews and was not disappointed. I had take out. Rice Paper Wraps were fantastic. So fresh and yummy! Loooved these. Ginger Lemonade - refreshing and delicious and a tad SPICY lol you can tell they use real Ginger. Mmm. The fried rice was very very good. Fresh hearty pieces of vegetables. Not swimming in oil - and the flavour was nice with a very good sauce on the side - which I prefer anyways as I dont like too much sauce in my food. Great experience will be back again for more :) Vegetarian options: Huge Veggie menu! Love it!

Don t underestimate this spot! The location is in the basement but the moment you can smell the food as you come down the stairs you ll know why this place has such great reviews. The tofu peanut soup was amazing and definitely hit the spot, was even better with a side of rice! The general Tao vegan chicken was great and we have lots of leftovers. It was such a shock that there was so many vegetarian/vegan options that I took forever choosing, everything sounded so good! We decided to dine in and the cashier was doing a million things but she still took the time to serve us and get us water :) Atmosphere is a little hole in the wall but not in a bad way if you can order ahead it can help with wait time as we came when all the delivery orders were coming in. Loved this place and will be back again!!

Ive been ordering food from Weis Noodle House, basically on a monthly basis, for over a year. They have. Without a doubt. The best Asian fusion in all of Ottawa (of the ones I have tried), in my opinion. Not once has my food arrived cold, or soggy, or spilled. Their attention to detail; from substitutions/customizations, to how they bag their delivery orders, to the flavours is literally unparalleled. I will scream from the rooftops I LOVE WEIS NOODLE HOUSE!!! cause it is literally that good. My favourite dishes are the Peanut Satay Tofu Soup (!omg so good!) and the Papaya Salad (!!!!!!!!!do not skip this dish!!!!!!). I usually get those two and a main dish thats vegetarian friendly. EDIT: i forgot about the mochi! Its filled with nuts and shredded coconut and is just soo soft, warm and delicious. That reminds me: this place is great for vegetarians and vegans! Everything is clearly labelled veg safe vs. not, and they have a lotttt of options as a vegetarian which makes me very happy. Also they have alternative proteins than just your standard tofu which is appreciated for variety! Portions are very big for me since I get multiple items, so I always have leftovers which is a big plus. By far; if I had to recommend one restaurant in ALL of Ottawa that is a MUST visit, its this one! I appreciate all the work this wonderful staff does. I order takeout from weis noodle house often and I have never been dissapointed! I love their vegan pho the most, but I also really love the tofu! Edit: its been five months since my original review, and I think Ive ordered from weis at least once a week since leaving that review. The vegan pho is still my comfort food go-to, but I also LOVE the bun with vegan chicken (they make the most delicious vegan chicken bites ever). My husband loves all of their varieties of fried rice & he especially loves the braised egg that comes with it. This is my favourite take-out spot in Ottawa, hands down.

Absolutely incredible vegan options. Had the kimchi and tso vegan chicken. Portions are huge, $20/person probably got us 2-3 meals Highly recommend. Bit hard to find. Its downstairs of the ReMax building.

Really great food in this hidden gem, we thought we arrived at the wrong place but it s inside the REMAX building. Most customers order online and take their food to go as the inside isn t fancy but the service was great.

Me & my girlfriend ordered food & we showed up late by a half hour on new years. We contacted the restaurant when it opened today & the owners were extremely helpful & understanding to us & re-made our order for free. Thank-You so much!

I Have been ordering from here for a few years. I always call in my order and have kind conversations with everyone I talk to. The orders are always 100% accurate, and come out hot and fresh! The staff are pros and clearly demonstrate that they CARE, and take pride in their dishes. The take out bags are put together so meticulously, they sit perfectly in my car. The food is amazing!! The location is super convenient. but I have to say my newest favourite part about this -already amazing- place, is the leadership and the team (refer to earlier, incredibly rude, review with someone harassing the staff, and they were immediately shut down!) YES!!! Way to go! Leading by example, and making your workplace and your team the priority. Anyone who has it in them to be rude here, is suuuuuper nuts! Thank you :)

September 2023: Amazing food, great portions. Lots of vegan options. Order the spicy peanut sauté soup you wont be disappointed, probably the best soup I ever had. Live in Montreal but will probably come back to Ottawa just for Weis Noodle House. Edit: Jan 2024, still amazing still great service and still so easy to order for pickup, delivery or to eat there. Pad Thai is so salty. Questionable Vegan Pho broth is made from Chinese chicken powder. You can certainly taste the MSG.

The tonkotsu black ramen here is extremely good, highly recommend! My friends tried a mix of curry, spam, and tofu, and they all raved about their meals as well. Only negatives is that the food took an hour (during peak time, mind you), and the restaurant has next to no atmosphere. This makes dining in rather uncomfortable, but you dont come here for the seating, you come here for the food.

The vegan pho is delicious, also have tried the vegan tonkatsu. The broth for me was a miss. Excessively salty and inedible. The portions are great and they are generous with vegetables which are also fresh and crunchy. Overall good experience. Vegetarian options: Very generous with fresh, crisp vegetables.

One of my absolute favorites. Ive ordered many times both delivery and pick up. The food is always fresh and hot and delicious!! They are frequently closed so always check their website to make sure theyre open. When they are open, there is often a wait.. because everyone knows how good the food is. Its BUSY when theyre open but SO worth it! Enjoy your new addiction!!

I arrived 45 minutes after I placed and they asked me for 10 more minutes because they had not started to.make it yet. STAY AWAY FROM THE RAMEN!!! DISGUSTING RUBBERY RAMEN!!! The ramen is not real. The toppings are chewy and the noodles arent even ramen noodles. The Thai food is fine, but the ramen is misleading and false advertising. I dont trust the food quality of this place

Five months ago Hidden place inside the building. Today for the first time I Ordered 2 Vietnamese bowls with rice and vermicelli. Absolutely loved it. I have tried many Asians takeout places but This place has surpassed all of them in my opinion. Kudos to cooks and friendly cashier. Will try more food next week. Meanwhile tried different and loved it. Today I ordered fried rice bowl with chicken and egg. 1 small papaya salad , 1 vegan ramen. Best meal Ive had in a while. Completely satisfactory and delicious. Will buy again next week..

Weis Noodle House is one of my favorites. They serve up large, delicious portions, and have an extensive vegetarian menu. Make sure you order an hour or so before you want to eat during busy periods.

Their vegan Pad Thai, Pho, spring rolls and mochi were delicious!

Fantastic Food! Loads of vegetarian options, which is great! I was never a Tofu fan, but after eating their crispy chilli tofu, oh my god... a must try. Great food and good portion sizes..

I first want to say that the broth for the Shoyu ramen is the best Ive ever had, and my partner was very happy with the Spicy Tan Tan ramen. Hes always looking for a spicy soup and this really hit the spot-- Id say more but he said it would be too spicy for me. The avocado smoothie was good but it wasnt great for the $7.

Wei s is one of the few restaurants in town that call you back to make sure they got your order right if you mention a food allergy. The cooks don t mind getting on the phone with you to help you change your order to something allergy safe! I m always happy with the quality of their food. Order from here if you want Asian food from a allergy conscious kitchen !

Best place I ve tried in 2022! Ordered the vegan spicy korean udon noodles and the saucy tofu and both were incredible. Not only do they have an extensive vegan/non-vegan menu which allows everyone to have a delicious option, but the prices were great with generous portions! When I arrived for my pickup (super fast service) they quickly sauteed my tofu in front of me as they wanted to make sure it was as fresh as possible and not soggy before I arrived, which showed great consideration for customer service and quality! Will definitely come again and recommend to friends!

As a vegan from Toronto, 1st time trying this place out. The food was amazing, the portion was good, also lots of mock meat not little. Very impressed by this resturant.

Weis noodle house is the best Asian food I have had in Ottawa When you first walk in you can just tell from the smell that they know what they are doing. This place is legit, and I would recommend it to anyone. Tried some kimchi bowls and pad Thai when I went, but will definitely be trying out other menu items. They have a wide selection of different noodles dishes.

Great value with this hidden gem of Asian fusion. Flavourful and prepared with care, worth stopping by in-person rather than give money to Uber Eats, owners appreciate it and youll support a local business. Glad I found this place and would recommend trying a few things here. In-person pickup timing tends to run on the late side, as theres always a massively unpredictable number of online orders. Usually dont wait more than 15 longer than their suggested pickup time.

One of the best and unique Asian styled food in Ottawa. This place also has so many different options for vegans/vegetarians! We love to see good food and variety! Their meat dishes are also quite amazing as well!

Amazing food, amazing kitchen, amazing staff; every time Ive gotten takeout or delivery its delicious. Fantastic vegan options- very well rounded menu and SUPER reasonable prices for how delicious it is and the massive selection- love adding a tip for the staff whenever I can to make sure prices can stay reasonable for other folks too. My faves are the veggie dumplings that are served with lovely garnish, bahn da lon, vegan kim chi and the fact that I can order ben and Jerrys for later too. A++ Thank you!!

I cant express enough how good Weis is. Currently ordered take out from them twice in a week. Their chili tofu is amazing, as is their spicy beef with udon. I got a lychee lemonade tonight and its heavenly! The food is exceptionally fresh and really well prepared.

I ordered pho and my friend got Pad Thai. My friend said his was excellent but mine is not as good as I expected. More importantly there is no dine in environment for there. There was no even a bowl and chopsticks for eating in. So don t dine in there~

I ordered the General Tso on rice with a side of vermicelli and a milk tea with pearls. Everything was delicious. Chicken arrived hot and crunchy but there was an awful lot of tso sauce in the container. Usually I prefer sesame chicken but I had no regrets with the tso. I wish there was like a vegetable chow mein option for the noodles but I kind of made my own. Milk tea was simple but delicious and came as a large which is reassuring for the price. I would eat here again.

Wow, so good! When we went to pick up they were slammed, the kitchen was hustling and got our order out fast. I can see why it was so busy despite being sort of stashed away. The food was incredible! How do they do it?!

Ordered thai curry on rice, received a laughably small amount of rice. Ive ordered the same from Weis before and gotten more than double this amount. Honestly feels like this must be a prank. Weis is usually such a good choice, hopefully this was a one-off experience.

A no-frills hole in the wall place but seriously some of the best pho I ve had in awhile. The spicy sate pho was perfectly balanced with flavour and the portions are good. They have a ton of vegan options and the menu is fairly expansive. A little pricy but makes sense given all the vegan choices. I d highly recommend for takeout, nothing beats some warm soup on a cold day.

Ordered for delivery for the first time last week and can definitely say I ll be ordering again in future. The food was packed with so much flavour and the portions were more than generous. Nice variety of Asian dishes with a very friendly vegan menu. I m not vegan but I ve heard raving reviews of their tofu dishes here so I opted to try the chili garlic tofu and was not disappointed at all. Super flavourful with a nice kick. Tofu was crispy and fresh, comes on a bed of vermicelli noodles. Highly recommend giving this restaurant a try. Everything was absolutely delicious. My favourite was the peanut sate noodle soup. It was a full of YUMM

First time at Weis....sorry we waited so long! Pad thai noodles with shrimp - perfectly seasoned (not too sweet!) with 6 good-sized shrimp. Veggie fried rice - great selection of vegetables (red peppers, bok choy, carrots, broccoli & more). Chili garlic tofu - Ill dream about this dish. Well be back!

Yesterday we ordered from Weis for the first time off UberEats and it was a huge disappointment. After half an hour, I noticed nothing on the app was moving forward so I called the restaurant for an update and I was reassured that the food would arrive at a reasonable time. I ordered nearly 80 dollars worth of food at 5:30 pm and got to our door at 7:30 pm, TWO hours later. We live ten minutes away. Uber confirmed the restaurant took too long. Most of the food including the tofu, the veggie tempura and the shrimp tempura, were cold and soggy. If I owned a restaurant and someone purchased 80 dollars worth of food and I took two hours to get it to them, I would have been honest about and included something extra or compensated them in some way. Will not re-order.

JUST WOW! If you are looking for some delicious vegan comfort food, this is the place! Every meal I tried were just perfect. Really recommend!

I ordered the Vietnamese vermicelli and opted for the carb-free noodles. Everything except the noodles was great: flavourful and cooked to perfection. The noodles though: judging by the texture, I would guess that the noodles were made of recycled rubber bands. Also, I puked my guts out in the middle of the night. The noodles looked unscathed after 9 hours in stomach acid. Definitely recommend the vermicelli but get it with rice noodles.

Try the ramen! Actually, try everything. The menu is large, and Ive been more than satisfied with every item Ive ordered. Generous portions make this place a great value too.

Ordered springrolls, vermecilli noodles, ramen and peanut noodle soup. All were really good. Big portions as well. I also like their extensive vegan menu.

Love this place! Hard to get good eel, much less eel thats still great after being delivered! But the real hidden gem is the seaweed salad which is incredible. Would rate higher if could!

Great tasting food with a huge selection of vegan options. They also have a couple of drink, smoothie and dessert options. There are limited tables available in case you want to sit inside, though they mostly do takeout and the food served in the restaurant is also in takeout packaging.

Wow. Not sure where to begin. This meal was phenomenal. The soup portion was massive and so delicious. The general tsao was outta this world! Wonderful.

Hidden in the basement of an office building, this place is small but big in flavour. Set up as a takeaway place, the food is hot and delicious. They also have cafeteria style tables, we chose to sit, but out food came in take away containers (see picture). Made it a little tricky to eat my noodle soup, but my friends padthai and curry were yummy and all in one box so easy to eat. Would defiantly recommend this place and not be worried by the dark exterior. Youll smell the yummy food, just follow your nose.

I dont know if I would go here again. I had the Vegan Pho and ended up getting food poisonings. My husband had the mock meat in general tso sauce and he seemed to be okay. It could be a one off but I wasnt happy with the end results.

Amazing tofu! Great curry! This place is awesome especially when talking value. My only criticism would be that their Pad Thai is a bit one note and needs some lime or cilantro to give it that extra kick. Their are lots of vegan options and their tofu is top tier. You should definitely try this place out. I recommend the chili garlic tofu or the coconut curry chicken.

They have an awesome selection of vegan food! My favourites are the chili garlic tofu, saucy tofu, and tofu peanut soup. My meat-eating boyfriend also loves the beef rice wraps and Tan Tan ramen. :) Highly recommend this restaurant, its never disappointed!!

SO. GOOD. I tried their vegan ramen the other day, along with a mixed berry smoothie. Both were amazing! Everything tasted so fresh. They have a really extensive vegan menu!

Absolutely delicious

Had their food when they were located on Somerset a while ago. It was excellent then. Ate their food today, ordered the Tonkotsu Black Ramen to check it out. Soup-wise, it doesnt contain the rich bone flavour you get from other restaurants with the identical dish. Noodles are okay, its neither WOW! or UGH, just somewhere in the middle. Chashu is not as tender as it should be and the texture makes it seem its a bit old. If anything, I would have given 3-stars for this review. But the actual problem was when I was drinking the soup in large mouthfuls, I found two unusually hard, tiny, sharp objects in my mouth. I pulled them out and they turned out to be 2 broken pieces of HARD PLASTIC. I showed the guy who took my order and he told the chef, the chef was able to identify the problem immediately by letting me know they had a broken takeout container and some of the shards got mixed into the soup as they were preparing my dish. In return for their honest mistake, they offered a refund and I declined, they asked What do you want then? I simply said Please dont let this happen to another customer. For anyone else that may have ordered a soup-based item, please look out for plastic shards or drink in small mouthfuls. I dined at this establishment on September 19 from 6:15 to 7:00 PM.

This place is great. All of our dishes were excellent. Particularly liked the pad thai and the satay peanut tofu. Dumplings and spring rolls were also quite excellent. Love the variety of options on their menu. All the portions are really good too. No sit down at the moment - just takeout. But the service is excellent and pickup is easy.

Excellent place if you are a vegan! So many meat alternatives, and whole foods for those who prefer it. If you go, definitely try the fried tofu and the peanut noodle soup...YUM!

Amazing food! Just amazing! When you get to the parking lot you can smell the amazing food! I got the chilli garlic tofu and it did not disappoint! It was absolutely delicious! Super friendly staff! Lots of parking in the area! Cannot wait to come back and try other items on the menu!

Hands down my favourite restaurant! I am so glad they are back from their hiatus. Highly recommend the pork pad Thai, spicy tan tan ramen, and any of their delicious homemade drinks.

Nice little restaurant that has a very big menu. The staff were friendly and you can tell they were working hard during the dinner rush. For pickup the restaurant is located in the basement of an office complex.
