The bathroom is gross and smells of strong urine, sinks broken, stalls broken of its base, and cant lock the door. I asked for 3 beers on their draught menu, and had none, so I just asked for a light lager. Right rundown, shame, could be a real gem, if they upkept the place. It sure turned me right off from eating/attending here again... Sidenote, the server (Emily) was awesome though; Thanks Emily!

Hamburger I ordered was barely edible it was black not just a little black a lot I have not decided whether I m going to Back here to complain or just never go there again When I walked in and looked very worn out the floor not a nurse that was true that s why it outside but then it started just take it home I will start eating outside and he still would ve noticed the burger condition overpriced crap

No A/C and it was 30 c plus outside. In winter my wife keeps her coat over her shoulders. Urinal in mens room broken at least 2 weeks. Ditto the paper towel dispenser. Come on management.... Have some pride! Parking: Doubt wed frequent the place if it wasnt for the quizmaster at trivia night.

Nicely laid out . Pleasant staff. Food special was tacos 3 for $10 ok but small. WITH A NAME THAT SCREAMS IRISH/BRITISH the draft beer selection was deplorable. Only Guinness, they has the tap for Newcastle Brown and would have made a small fortune.

Went to this restaurant for their advertised mother s days brunch. First be forewarned, this restaurant is not fully accessible for people with mobility impairments. We were looking forward to a good brunch. Selection was minimal. White bread stacked on a plate, no tongs. Bacon, half crispy half not. They were ok. Sausage links. Cooked ok. Eggs? Bin was empty when we arrived, empty when we all went to get food, and remained empty for close to half an hour. Some variation of quiche but it was cold. Pancakes that were one step shy of being raw. Couldn t even pick one up without them crumbling apart in lumps of dough. French toast, although it should just be called wet egg bread, because the bread was pure mush, no cinnamon no nutmeg nothing. Tasted like the bread was dipped in water and tossed In a cold pan. Breakfast potatoes. Basic, but edible. Random bowl of fruit, most of which you had to pick through with your hands. Jar of maple syrup that sat empty for half an hour even after asking two people for more (asked for them to bring me some and of course never did) Some cookies that were the only thing not under cooked if anything they were short of being burnt. Some random little cakes. And at the end when the place was empty and everyone was leaving they had croissants turned into sandwhiches but no one had a clue what kind, just some random grey stuff inside. Fish? Turkkey? Who knows. Oh and a plate with raw tuna for those who like fish. But no one dared eat it. If they can t get pancakes right no one was going to risk raw fish. Service was ok when they came and checked on us. Which was seldom. Got coffee when we arrived, no one offered anything else. Kids left with nothing to drink for the first 15 minutes. Finally got our own pot of coffee, but no creamers no sugar. When we asked the server came back and literally tossed a bowl of creamers into the table and said there was some right here on the empty table that someone else was just eating at. In the end, I would never darken their doorstep again. There was nearly nothing for vegan eaters or glutten intolerance - not even allowed to order from the menu. Don t know how they stay open, but I ll guess it s where they all go to drink and don t care about service or quality. Gave two stars only because it was easy to book a reservation for a large family, and ample parking right at the door (which should have been signs of what to expect) Avoid at all costs if you can.

Came in at lunch. Ordered potstickers and peanut sauce, paid 15 dollars for it. The potstickers were decent but only came with five, not nearly enough for a 15 dollar portion. The Peanut Sauce was Jif Peanut butter with chili flakes on top. The food was extremely late and I had to wait an hour.

I hadnt been to Mooses since about 2015. I went because my friend was performing in Open Mic. Between the regular dining area and a private party in the back, there were probably 60 people and only 1 server. I was there about 15 mins before I finally caught the attention of the Bartender who was walking around to ask for a drink which he told the server. After a couple hours, I was ready to order some food. I spent 20 mins looking for the server before asking the bartender again to let her know I was looking for her. I ordered the Barbequed Bacon Burger and it was fantastic. Also, if you have a wheelchair, I dont know how you would be able to access the restaurant.

Visited on a Wednesday for their wing night. Not sure what the hype is about but the wings were really bad, extremely breaded and the flavors were not good either. Service was nothing to brag about either. Will not return and do not recommend.

Great wings here! Beer is cold. Staff are good, fast and friendly! What more do you want :) Only 4 stars on atmosphere because it was packed, loud and the seats are crammed together.

McGuires is a place is I come to every now and then but a place I can say (as corny/lame as it is) my home bar. Wouldnt drink any where else if you paid me

Went there on a Saturday night in May 2023, first time there. Got there around 8:15 pm and the place was pretty busy. Had a guy on guitar playing tunes. He turned out to be just the opening act as a full-on band came on after him! I sat at the bar, and the tender (Evan, I think his name was) did a good job of covering everyone and keeping the drinks going, even though he was by himself and by that point, the place was hoppin, it was like a freakin night club! In terms of food, I had their BBQed bacon burger, and it was pretty damn good; nice crispy bacon. Overall, a good time. Check it out at least once if you find yourself in the neighbourhood. Ill defly go back!

Family sports bar and restaurant

We went there first time on Thursday night June 1st. I was totally disappointed with this restaurant and do not recommend to anyone. We have two kids so we prefer to seat at a capacious place. The girl who bring us to seat, told us the most capacious place have reservation. Ok that s fine we can seat at the sofa, but we have three adults and two kids. That is really uncomfortable for us. Until we left, we didn t see any people coming to seat at that place. During the dinner time, there has no air conditioner. The server told us their air conditioner doesn t work. My kids felt hot and they didn t want to eat anything. I think I have to thank them I have a dinner time with free sauna. About the food, I was disappointed as well. The server told us the special of the day was pizza, so we tried Hawaii pizza. I would like to say the pizza was bad, even worst than frozen pizza. We are really disappointed about this restaurant and never come back in the future.

Great atmosphere and great people. Miles above the airport bar down aways. Could use a return to Karaoke and Id be there every week.

Hood pub, amazing wings on Wednesdays and customer service is top notch (98% of times). Whoever that newish hire is, with the unique looking earrings... she runs her mouth way too much and ought to shut up. not sure if the girl is drinking on the job; but id also suggest a common sense workshop before yall hire some folk? most of your servers are amazing.. the girl is out of line and just outright disrespectful. others notice it too. put a glizzy in it.

About the food it took forever for the food to arrive at the, table , the pizza had hair in it, They took it off my bill and offered me a free one. By that time my friends had already finished. I decided to try the Poutine only because I was so hungry I received a small amount of french fries that were over cooked and drowned very thin gravy with a small amount of cheese which they charged me $11 for. I would have been better off driving down the road to a local chip truck order my poutine for around $6 where I would have received a proper amount of french fries with a real gravy and cheese curd.. When I received the bill I was shocked my partner ordered the fish and chips. I had one order of onion rings two beer and I paid almost $100. When I got home I was starving I heated up a piece of the pizza that they gave me, it was the most tasteless cardboard pizza Ive ever tasted, I ended up throwing it in the garbage. Take my advice stay away from Moose McGuires Maybe they should hire a real cook, The cook at the location on McCarthy Avenue has no idea what hes doing. Horrible disgusting food. Very slow service for a place that was not busy. very high prices for low quality food and service..

$20 for a kids meal is absolutely outrageous. Chicken fingers and change the fries to salad. Got the mussels (cream sauce was milk water) we asked if it was possible to get the next batch with a thicker sauce and Ericas response was that is how they come. And we responded ok, but if its possible to have them a tad thicker that would be great. Where is she then proceeded to say that theres no need for the hostility and we responded its not a hostility, Its a preference request thank you! when the next match arrived, there was absolutely no sauce at all and her response was oh its because the sauce is thicker, how is a sauce thicker that does not exist? Lol we found our service to be very snippy an argumentative. There were a few positive encounters but definitely Will not be returning. The food was trash.

I will easily say that if you are willing to accept that this is not fine dining (yet they make almost everything in house with love) and come with a positive attitude, you will be met by the kindest most generous staff and friends you didn t even know you had. I was impressed that this genuine group existed outside of small towns. Those who might harshly criticize this establishment (more than likely showing; improper punctuation, spelling, or grammar) have missed out. I met a new best friend here. All that being said the Wi-Fi isn t the best.

Best pub in Ottawa s south end, hands down. The bar is amazing and all the old vets sitting around it make for lively conversation. The live music is outstanding. They ve got a great selection on tap. The food is delicious. The washrooms are always clean. And there s a cool secret room in the back all decked out in Victorian steampunk decor. Don t know what goes on there

Will never go there again. Worst service from a new bartender who completely ignored me. She filled up couple of drinks, than a new customer walks in she got him a drink than took the drinks she filled up to restaurant side & stayed there. I than left.

Sunday - Wednesday they have the best bartender I have met to date Adrian looked after us like we were on his own living room. The yorkies were delicious, and trivia was a blast.

Weird butternut squash soup. Acidic, tasted like tomatoes and was basically just blended tomatoes, more like a tomato sauce than soup. And the Belgium moon was sour and def not Belgium moon (wrong colour and smell).

You have to try Evans Strawberry Marg, absolutely the best.

Good pub vibe, it was quiet on the non bar side but the server was friendly and prompt, and food was good.

A good selection of craft beers on tap; regular pub fare, excellent quality and generous servings. Service is prompt and friendly, but the kitchen can be extremely slow. Noisy for anyone who wants to converse with a friend. (Sorry, Moose, this couple like to talk to each other!) Lots of free parking.

Wednesday is half price wing night. The wings are exceptional.

Awesome food and service

Went again the other night, and Evan was fantastic serving us (once again). When I asked for my pub chips to be under done, he made sure it was okay to my likings when brought to me. Looking forward to going back again to see him!

Wings Wednesday sweet

Came in for a Saturday meal with a friend travelling through town. Met with great staff, three great meals, and a wonderful selection of bar options. I used to come semi regularly, and definitely will look to do so again.

Comfortable

The location is clean and cozy and has a good atmosphere. We were seated on wet chairs? Not sure shy they were wet but when we got up our pants were damp and wet, then the beer came out warm and when i told the server she just shrugged her shoulders and said ya and turned and walked away. The wings took 40minutes from the time I ordered until they came. The wings were good. The issue is the lack of service or the attempt to give me anything cold. It was not super busy when we arrived but it did get busier over the 40minute wait period. I paid the bill and it will probably be the one and only visit for a while to this place. There are plenty of good wing places with cold beer.

Arrived for a business meeting/ lunch at 12:00- my companion was running late. He arrived at 12:10, had to leave at 12:45 for another appointment. There were two other tables in the restaurant that I could see. We both ordered salads-as we were in a rush, he ordered small side salad I got the chicken Caesar. We were told there was a lettuce shortage, was spinach ok? Not the restaurant s fault, salads were fine. My companion had to leave, he wasn t quite done- but I had time to stay to finish. Server Maggie came to check on me after he had to leave, I explained why he left unfinished and said I would just finish up but she could bring the bill when she was ready. I was chewing and still eating my half done $18.00 salad when she returned in 30 seconds with the bill and payment terminal ready for my card. I wasn t expecting to pay so quickly, so turned to get my card out my purse. While I did, she cleared the whole table, including my salad. By the time I noticed, it had been dumped. I expressed surprise as I wasn t done and was literally still chewing when she came with the bill, and she said- oh, I guess I misunderstood . I d already paid and tipped her at that point. So I paid $18+tax for half a salad.

Its a very busy place and is quite noisy. Their chicken wings are very good and very filling. We werent expecting them to be breaded but will definitely go back for more. We didnt get the wet naps we asked for. It should be automatic that when ordering finger food, the meal should be delivered with wet naps. The napkins are great though.

So. Im going to start with the only thing I dont like about Moose McGuires, because I like everything except this one thing. The pizza. Its just got a strange crust that Im not a fan of. With that out of the way. This local bar is comfortable and welcoming. The staff is friendly and very responsive. The food is standard pub fare, and the specials night (cheap taco night?!) Make the food a decent option. If youre looking for a friendly bar to have a drink or listen to some fantastic live music, dont skip this hidden gem! (Just dont order the pizza.. .. in my opinion!!)

Typical pub food. My only complaint is that, a lot of the cheese on the bottom layer of the Nachos was not melted. Apart from that everything was fine (service, drinks, etc.)

Taco Tuesday makes me want to return for Wednesday Wings. It all goes good with their selection of beers. The friendly servers are backed by promp cooks, more than happy to do what it takes to keep ya happy.

I honestly wasnt expecting much more than standard pub fare - but the service, beer, wine and food was absolutely excellent. We happened to be there on a slow night that was also trivia night - we both worried it would be very annoying at first but we enjoyed it. Fries were perfect, souvlaki was amazing. Sticky Toffee was delicious.

This is one of my favorite places to go to. I dont have to go downtown to go out for a drink, its never too crowded, and the staff are super nice.

Super cool, old school bar. I went in for the first time and they suggested wings paired with this local tequila called Siempre and it was an amazing and totally unexpectedly good combo. Will definitely go back. Lots of other stuff on the menu to explore.

Tonight was the first time I visited the restaurant. It reminded me of a nice cozy spot where friends can get together. It was wing night so thats what we ordered and my goodness they were amazing. Even the pop was good! Service was beyond reproach. We had a very friendly waitress, thank you Jenn for making my first visit a nice experience. Food was great and service was outstanding.

This review is for the new Kanata location where Don Cherrys used to be. We checked it out last night. Waitress was great but she needs a better fitting facemask. Her nose wasnt contained. The wings were good, pizza was deep dish but good. No place should charge for club soda. Its tap water and CO2. $2.35 each? And no specials yet except $7.99 for wings on Wednesday but it looks like $3.99 at their other locations. We wont be in a hurry to come back.
