We were waiting for food for 40 min, extremely slow....

Was a good place. Gonna miss it

It s a pleasant little bar for both older and younger folks, the food is good and affordable and the drinks always hit the right spot.

Nice atmosphere great service wonderfull food.

10 dollar triples were nice. The DJ though was horrible. He made me think he was gonna play a suggestion but never did. When I asked him to play something else he brushed me away.

Not the first time weve been there. Nice ad. My partner had fish and chips, she liked it. I had the Chicken Burger. Very good tasting but inedible with your hands. The cheese melted and the sauce flowed everywhere. I asked for a steak knife so I could cut it into pieces but they didnt have one(?). I had to make do with a butter knife. Not great. Hey pub, buy yourself some steak knives and itll be perfect. The waitress is friendly. The sound from the TV was too loud for the number of customers present.

My favourite drinking establishment. Im so sad that its closing.

So disappointed!!! All you can eat wings.. it was a joke they bring that 6 times it must take 15 mins wait for another 6 wings.. so small wings no meat on it.... my friend took the smash burger which was delicious ... not enough fries but having sure I would have had a smash too... then I finished my evening at McDonalds I was still hungry :/ very disappointing I wont go back there. On the other hand, the waitress Anndee was excellent

Went for Monday wing night- not only over priced but some of the worst wings I have ever had. Leathery and dry, like biting into a piece of jerky or a mouthful of grease, like flipping a coin of yuck. Understaffed, but although I felt bad for our waiter, the members of my table maybe got two correct orders of wings each, the rest she simply sadly shrugged and would place down despite being the wrong flavour. Beers above average but on par with Byward Market prices these days. Honestly the quality of the chicken is still upsetting my stomach, if you want a wing night there are so many better spots in Ottawa.

Decent little place. Nice outdoor patio, and better prices than others nearby, though they themselves have inflated their menu prices by about 50% in the last year.

Our server was so laid back on Canada day ! The nachos where delicious and the kolsh beer was so good ! Thank you for your hospitality!

not recommended. I came to eat, the wait was too long and around 5 people were in the restaurant. we dont have any sauce in our meals. the taste is ordinary, best made by yourself. there is almost nothing on the menu and if you want to have sauce on a burger (it doesnt come with sauce) you have to pay extra. I wont come back again.

Went in to see the comedy show they have. The comedy hosts straight up have no business being hosts.. not funny at all.. the comedy show itself is ok .. its just amateurs and first timers so it is what it is.. The white guy bartender with the pony tail served me a pitcher of the most disgusting beer Ive ever had in my life. So smell the pitcher before you buy it. my beer tasted and smelled like plastic or chemical or he served me some weird beer. It definitely was not Molson Canadian. ( Ive had this weird taste before with molson Canadian its like a bad batch I dunno) Maybe the pitcher was not washed properly whatever the case that was disgusting. Definitely would not order a pitcher there again or Molson Canadian.

This restaurant USED TO BE GREAT. It s a sad, dirty, depressing shell of what it once was. The service is a joke, the servers are not concerned with your dinning experience. They don t serve their all you can eat wings after 9pm, and the remainder of their menu is the equivalent to the kids menu at East Side Mario s; Mac n cheese, chicken fingers, grilled cheese The food is terrible, the service is worse .This place sucks, save your money and go to McDonald s.

My friend and I went to have fun and it was amazing. The wings were excellent and meaty. And the dry rubs and sauces were good too.

We went to try out their chicken wings as we are avid chicken wing lovers. We were pleasantly pleased by the taste and I was impressed by the BLT sandwich. What caught us off guard was the individual pricing of pop. All places weve gone to for wing specials have unlimited refills, so this was quite the expensive surprise.

I think this places gets a lot of flack from locals, but I adore it. The prices are SO reasonable (even since COVID) and its a lively place that usually plays mid-2000s hits. Its a great little sports pub. The food is inconsistent, and the drinks are nothing unbelievable, but at the end of the day, its cheap, cozy, and pleasant. I love going here!

PRICE HIKE, FEB 2023!!!! This used to be our very favourite place to go, not because the food was great or the place was very nice, but because it was just so darn affordable, even in COVID. Drinks have been hiked from $5 to $7 and meals have gone from $11 to $12-15. (See photos for new menu). While Im super sad about it, it was inevitable that they would EVENTUALLY adjust to inflation, but I dont think they will be our go-to anymore. Now their prices are comparable to other places where you can get much higher quality. I dont think Ill recommend it anymore, unless youre looking for a lively not-quite-a-dive bar.

I am not old but for a place that was lacking customers it was unnecessarily loud. Service was ok. Dont recommend the nachos.

I have never written a review before, but our experience here was absolutely awful. Me and my two friends went on a Saturday night. At first we ordered drinks, they arrived and were great. Then we ordered food. 15 minutes later, our waitress shows up with 1/3 of the correct orders, two of the orders were completely wrong. She gives the right order to my friend. Half an hour passes and my friend FINISHES her meal. The other two meals have still not come. Our waitress comes by, takes my friends food and goes is there anything else I can get you guys? . She had completely forgotten about our food and we d nearly been there an hour. We remind her. It is another half hour before our food comes. We had been waiting over an hour for our food. There is no offer for compensation, not for our meal to be free, our drinks to be free or even for a free drink while we wait. Overall, we were there for 2 hours only to eat the smallest, saddest chicken burger and blt I have ever seen.

Cozy pub with affordable prices for food/drinks. Unfortunately, prices have gone up since the last time I visited which is inevitable due to inflation. My meal was $12.01 and my alcoholic apple cider was around $8. Still a reasonable price compared to other restaurants in the area but you get what you pay for. Okay quality but nothing special about my main.

Came for wings night on Monday, the servers were super nice and always checked up on you even when it looks like they re completely busy. The Wings were okay, they were fried and mixed with the flavour you request. It could be better but for the price, it s quite a deal.

I went for wings night. Tasty. Some of the wings on a regular day can be addictive but 12$ a pop......try not to go as often as I use to before the pandemic. Drink are still decent in pricing

Stumbled in here with some friends on a Friday night and compared to the other places weve been, we werent impressed. It took 20 minutes for a server to get our drink order, but they did arrive fast after our order was in. The cocktails I had all tasted like juice, and not in a good way. We decided to order some food and half an hour later it arrived. The fish tacos I had were actually pretty good compared to other places around so I would recommend those if you go here. They have a large lovely patio and the servers are very kind. Id be willing to give this place another shot in the future.

I have been a longtime customer of Pub101s all you can eat wings on Monday nights, but unfortunately, my recent experiences have been disappointing. While the first plates of the night were usually good, I noticed that the wing quality declined as the night went on, with the wings starting to taste microwaved and overcooked, completely inedible... Additionally, there were long wait times between orders, with orders taking around 30 minutes to arrive on multiple occasions. I was also disappointed to see that soft drinks were not included in the all-you-can-eat deal, and I was charged an additional fee for a small cup of blue cheese. These additional charges were unexpected and seemed very unreasonable. I understand that Pub101 may be understaffed, but it would be great if they could work on improving their service times and providing better communication to customers about wait times. Overall, while I still enjoy the concept of all-you-can-eat wings on Monday nights, I hope that Pub101 can make improvements in the future to ensure a better experience for their customers. I wont be back with my friends until I receive some assurance here that I will be given edible food and good service. Please step it up Pub101.

Every time I call them during the day they either don t pick up or they do then hang up without saying a word as if a calling customer is bothering them. Heard this from other friends as well. I ve never been able to speak to an employee over the phone. Most times I ve been there at night bouncers were borderline agressive & bartenders only focused on serving preferred or known customers. Will only go there as a last resort or if friends want to go. If you tell a bartender you plan on buying lots of booze (about $10 per drink) & will give a good tip (usually I tip $40 for my drinks at the end if service is decent) on your last order they completely ignore you bunch of unprofessional money-hungry amateurs

Great atmosphere, great service and food is good

I was lost searching for the tulip festival as I gave up I decided to stop for a beer. Yet I found an experience instead, the bartender Mark was an excellent travel guide as I am not from the area. I am so Greatful I stumbled into his bar rail as he sent me on an adventure of a life time the best bars to drink at, the best places to eat, and some of the coolest attractions to see including the art gallery just around the corner. Most certainly great customer service! Thanks again Mark and the boys sitting with me from the Fairmont.

The food was good. I recommend the pulled pork sandwich. Overall a good place for a meal and the prices were pretty good.

Waited over 2 hours to get our meals, meals were mixed up. Ottawa race weekend, you would think management would be better prepared. Will not recommend.

We had a lovely dinner on the patio. I had the cauliflower bites with zesty orange sauce and they were very good, I would definitely get them again. The prices have gone up recently but its still a very good deal especially for a nice place in the market. Vegetarian options: It has a good selection of vegetarian options that are affordable and taste good.

Just arrived in Ottawa from Montreal. On a trip from New York City. Was served by Jacob. Came to watch the Europa League game. Jacob was very attentive and super helpful. Staff are super friendly and great service. Definitely recommend if visiting or just hanging out.

Well, the food was not good. Coleslaw was only cabbage and mayo! Putin was salty and the gravy tasted burned, and the pulled pork lacked any specific taste. Overall, go for a drink, not food.

Our server Bella was absolutely amazing! We came in with a large group and she was so patient the entire time. Chaos broke out but she still remained calm and took care of us. We all ordered an exuberant amount of drinks and she still was able to bring them all in great time with no issues! We love Bella and would come back just for her

This is a typical student style pub in downtown with a more mature crowd at times. The food is average but enjoyable, the drinks are good and the service is acceptable. They are a bit slow at rush hour and in wing day, but it is a nice enough place you don t mind a bit of a wait. Came for the location and stayed for the vibe.

I visit pub 101 here and there and it s a great spot! It s always enjoyable and the staff is great especially Chris boudreau.

Stopped by for a pint, and ended up with Chris as a bartender. Fantastic human being. He know everything on the menu, and gave me amazing recommendations for draft beer. Constantly keeping an eye on his patrons, all the while making outstanding drinks. Im going to stop by here again for sure!

We walked into Pub 101 and were greeted by the lovely bartender Tayler who immediately put a smile on our faces and got our drinks ready. The servers Ali, Allegra and Kayla were all making the rounds making sure we were topped up and having a good time even stirring up the conversation and being a part of the evening. We loved the atmosphere and people at Pup 101!

I wouldn t buy food here again. Chicken fingers tasted like they were bought in bulk from Walmarts frozen food aisle. BUT as a bar this place is great. Drinks are decently priced and the atmosphere is really great. Karaoke nights are always fun. Update: I m doubling down on saying don t order food here, I tried the pulled pork and it tasted sour and made me sick. HOWEVER I am also doubling down on saying this place is so fun and their drinks are so good and inexpensive! The just peachy and caeser 101 keep bringing me back . Almost every time I go I have the same server, I don t recall her name but she s got cool pink/purple hair and she s fantastic, so helpful and attentive.

Good place with a beautiful ambiance. We just had beer. The food was very average. We asked fries to be topped with Cajun spice, which was good. Quesadia was very normal, all they did was stuff it with cheese and chicken. Felt very bland. So was their poutine. A bit disappointed with food.

Please read fully! Early evening of summer. We stopped by after a walk in downtown to give this place a try. The prices seemed amazing. Beware.. there was one million tiny flies in the bathroom! As soon as I enters they filled the air! Disgusting at the best! The food.. an adult main chicken strip meal is literally almost three pieces of chicken fingers ( with fries) that s a child size meal! The nachos were tasty but, .. only a thin layer of chips on the plate and that, was inedible as the checkered colours of palate had become part of the food! Definitely not appetizing or Safe to eat! Our waitress, the young lady in black was quiet hospitable, polite and kind. She definitely gets FIVE STARS! The outdoor patio is beautiful too BUT, such waste of location and hospitality. The food was bad!! We would definitely not be back!

I love Pub 101. Cheap food and drinks that always hit the spot. Would recommend Monday night bottomless wings any week! Parking: Shared parking with the byward market. Can get pretty crowded. Kid-friendliness: This is mostly a bar but kids are accepted.

Had a great time here on my birthday on Wednesday Great friendly staff. I asked politely if they could change the music from classic rock to more upbeat party music the gladly changed they music. The staff did a great job will be going back soon.

Based on past experiences great food service and prices. Now for the most recent experience they said to go ahead and pick a table so we sat at the patio and no service, they even served people who arrived after we did. So we just went to The Brig. Will give it another try another time.

Rocking place right outside downtown Ottawa. Arrived late on my motorcycle and wanted something to drink. So i showed up cuz it was down the street from my hostel. If i am ever back definitely coming back.

Great pub to stop by and have something to eat and drink. Food is delicious and the menu very varied. Something even for the most picky. Prices are amazing. Drink menu is very good. Servers and all the staff are definitely the best. Always smilng and they make sure you have everything you need.Allegra made me the most delicious Ceasar (drink). My husband and I will definitely be back. What a great place to stop for great eats and drinks. Dont pass it by.

I frequently attend Pub 101s learn to book a room 101 comedy show on Tuesdays at 9:11pm. It s always the same bartender, Jacob. He tries to offer us limes for our vodka sodas and they are usually out/inedible - but he has started offering us a little bit of lime juice instead! Perfect and delicious. Jake Storm hosted last week - very good, as always. Just disappointed he didn t invite the person, Todd (?) who they all kept joking about. Christine had wonderful little spins she kept doing, LOVED THOSE. So fun Brytan (?) kept talking about this dog. Next time bring the dog - thanks! Cesar said a lot I forget . I think because I d be cancelled if I laughed at them as a white person (but again, I forget) Overall great show! I love getting there early and being able to score a booth seat. SO COMFY! Very excited to go this week!

If you are looking for a place to dance the night away. Club 101 plays all the great dance songs for all ages. Younger crowd, but we in our late 50ies were welcomed. We had a great night and returned several more times. DJ actually plays your requests. We did not eat here.

Loud atmosphere but the second floor was good and quiet. The information on the wings wasnt clear and didnt know it only went until 930pm.

Awesome place for price/quality. Monday wing night is my go to. The wings are amazing and the staff is pretty awesome too. I would give 4 stars but have to take one out cause of lack of tables and seats during winter.

This is a good pub to have some drinks and abite to eat, dont expect high end food, it is a pub but the ambience is OK and the patio is great for Summer.

I loved Pub. Located in the heart of the Byward Market. They have 3 floors, weekly karaoke nights on Wednesdays and a dance floor with an excellent DJ Friday and Saturday nights. It is the perfect bar for a university student who is looking for a fun night out. They are open until 2am and are very adamant about that, for good reason, so do not overstay your welcome. Overall, the staff were very friendly and welcoming. Shoutout to the female bartender Em who made me feel appreciated and always knew my drink order. I will miss this place, but I definitely enjoyed my time as a regular at this establishment. I recommend other people to try out this pub.

Watched the bartender rip us off twice. First time she poured water and gin at the same time in the shot glass. Didn t say anything. Second time she only poured half the shot glass full of gin.

Spectacular scenery.

Definitely better than most nightclubs in the Ottawa area but still doesnt really compare to what Im used to in Toronto/London. Things that stood out most to me as odd were fireplace channels on the TVs (?) and the DJ could use some improvement

Easily one of my favourite spots in the Byward Market. I ll often come here for a cheap beer, cheap (and delicious) nachos, and even sometimes to work. Staff are all amazing, please make sure you tip them well! My bill is usually under $20 when I get a meal and a beer. 10/10

I Love this place, Great Atmosphere, Very inclusive to everybody of every race, So long as they arent already intoxicated prior to arriving, publicly drinking, Verbally or physically aggressive or have been an issue in the past regarding the safety of the staff or clients in the bar, The Security onsite is very professional, The Bar Staff inside are very friendly and it creates a safe and fun experience. I recommend Pub101 10/10 so long as you can abide by the rules, stay safe and have fun in a reasonable manor.

Prices for lower town beer were less expensive by about 1.50$ each which is funny cause lower town is right across the street. Atmosphere was decent enough. Cleanliness was good enough. Would go back for beers if I was in the neighborhood again. Price of food was great but we had already eaten so we didnt try anything.
