Literally the best wings I ve ever had. Had my first ever smoked wings and they were awesome. I even tried my wife s honey garlic wings, which I m not a fan of and even they were good. I highly recommend and they are now my go-to wing place. They even have beer.

Worst experience ever when it comes to dealing with customers service Ethan made a mistake and instead of owning up to it he argued me over the phone about what I said was my order and what I asked for. Great food but bad customer service

We ordered from big bone for our wedding. The food was amazing and delivered on time. All of our guests were very happy with the food and the portions were so big we got to take a lot of leftovers home to eat later. They were also very competitive with their pricing.i would highly recommend for anyone hosting an event.

I had ordered food on Friday and the quality and taste were not there. I was going to submit a bad review but I decided to phone and talk to the manager and I have to give a HUGE SHOUT OUT to the manager. He listened to my complaint and he immediately rectified the situation and made me feel like his customers DO MATTER. I personally thank you ( manager ) for being so cordial. A lot of other places could learn from your professionalism ad if they did learn something from you ten there wouldnt be so many upset customers. Once again I thank you for the professionalism.

Great servers but the food was lacking a bit

For a rare family gathering, we placed a $210 takeout order for 6 people. When we got home and opened the order, 1/3rd of it was missing! Since it would have taken too long to replace the rest of the order, we agreed to get a refund for the missing food as a gift certificate. When I picked up the gift certificate a few days later, they only gave me $25. That didnt even cover the missing food, let alone an apology for the ruined dinner.

Was wicked.... I had the ribs, poutine, some slaw and beans. Was wicked... I really enjoyed their BBQ sauce. It was delicious. Seriously a wicked spot that I would encourage anyone to try. Good vibes and solid food. The only thing I would recommend is that I think they should evenly distribute the BBQ sauce on the ribs. There was portions that weren t covered really.

Ordered the Brisket Cheese Steak for take out. The blonde lady at the front cash was extremely rude and unhelpful. I asked about the portion size, and she replied smugly with attitude in her tone. My friend also asked her what kind of beans they were serving, she replied with a rude theyre just beans. Not only was the customer service horrible, but the food turned out awful. Ive never had anything so dry and flavourless in my life. I expected the beef brisket to be juicy and savoury, but the consistency of the meat resembled more like dehydrated beef jerky. The slice of cheese was also cold.... Additionally, my friends and I ordered for takeout an hour before closing due to not wanting to be a hassle to the staff near their closing time, and when we arrived back home, we discovered that at least 3 of our side orders were missing or incorrect. Disappointed, will never return.

One of ottawas little kept secrets, they have the best smoked sausages I have had across this country, the beans, cornbread are very tasty, the coleslaw is better than Saint Huberts, the staff are super friendly and very passionate about their food.

I go in every couple of weeks for their Wednesday beef ribs. Always delicious, always great service.

Terrible food. Dont go here. Ordered a pulled pork sandwich. Pork smells and tastes gross and BBQ sauce just tastes like ketchup. Probably the most disgusting pulled pork sandwich Ive ever had in my life, I took two bites and threw it in the garbage where it belongs. What a waste of money. Not to mention the fries are god awful.

It s TOO good!

Ordered twice now. Both times we were missing food. One time all sides, one time all of out pig skins. Very disappointed that we have to take this place off our list for hosting partys as they simply can not be counted on :( Insult to injury, they will refund what yout missing, but when you are missing all the sides and only have meat, your left scrambling to host your party... $18 is a petty compensation for unreliability. Maybe one day we will try a sit down meal but I dont recommend ordering.

Ive had the ribs before and ever since,Ive been craving a GOOD rack of ribs. My father and I drove 2.5hrs to go eat these delicious ribs! It was my first time dining in and the service was great and the atmosphere was a nice small spot to enjoy some Delicious food. I got Mondays 38$ speacial platter of 1 full rack of ribs, 1lbs smoked wings(amazing),and choice of fries or onion rings or a salad. Let me tell you... the size of the ribs(juicy) and wings were definitely worth the drive and the $$. The staff and owners are very friendly and attentive. I enjoy their cornbread too if youre in Ottawa or just want some great BBQ this is the spot! Ill definitely be returning. Thank you guys

Did a large takeout order, shoulda tipped, left out the coleslaw and got pulled pork when I wanted beef brisket. Got hamburger buns instead of garlic cheese bread. The ribs and wings were delicious!

We ate at Big Bone BBQ with a group of 8 (5 adults and 3 children) and they were happy to accommodate our group. The food arrived quickly and was delicious and our server was attentive and friendly. The kids all enjoyed their meals, there were great options for them to choose from and large portions. The adults in our group all thoroughly enjoyed our meals as well, the food was hot and the portion sizes were just right and a great value. Can t wait to return!

We just tried this place for the first time today. The ribs are a religious experience! I took one bite, and my hands went UP! I was praying to the BBQ Gods in thanks! My husband had the pulled pork sandwich, which disappeared so fast that I didn t even get a chance to ask to try it. We got take out, and when we got home the fries were still nice and crispy! Oh! And the corn bread! .oh .that corn bread I am actually happy that I live a bit of a drive away from this place, because if I didn t, I would be in trouble Wheelchair accessibility: Fully accessible.

My daughter was on a quest for poutine and this was the closest place after a google search. We walked in and the vibe was definitely for us. We had a blast rocking out to the playlist and sampled the poutine, ribs and wings. Stellar food and excellent service. Parking: Strip mall parking lot, plenty of availability. Kid-friendliness: There were a couple of kids in the restaurant and were enjoying the food.

My gosh this was a huge disappointment. I was unhappy to discover that all the meats (yes, including the ribs) were dry and fairly tough. There was very little sauce on them and if you wanted any more you had to pay. Almost none of the myriad of sauces listed in the menu were available. In fact, I was TOLD which sauce would be on the dishes and told that they would not make it any other way. I was hoping for a good feed of ribs from a local shop, but no. It didn t turn out that way at all. Specifically with the ribs, they were flavourless. Their lack of flavour could only be attributed to having been cooked in water then heated on a pan with the sauce. Very very disappointed, and the prices were out of line with the poor quality of the food. I recommend you find a different ribs place than this one.

The pulled pork sandwich is really good!!

We had heard good things about this restaurant, but were disappointed with our meal. I ordered the crispy chicken sandwich, which the menu said was a coated chicken breast. It turned out to be two chicken fingers on a bun with lettuce and tomato. This would have been somewhat okay if the chicken fingers were chicken breast as the menu stated, and not some frozen strips. Maybe this was my fault assuming it was a whole chicken breast and not something youd buy in the store. The 2 stars is for the pulled pork sandwich, which was the only decent item in the order.

Unclear if not complicated pricing for Wednesdays Beef Ribs special. The price will be a bit more to change that combo to beef ribs. How much is a bit? Staff are very friendly! However, definitely recommend and will return.

This place popped up first on yelp when we searched for a BBQ place and the reviews were good, so we gave it a whirl. WOW about sums up everything - it was all delicious, the smoked ribs and wings, the pulled pork, the beans and coleslaw, the cornbread, the sauce, the onion rings and the pig skins. Restaurant was clean, staff was great! We ll be coming back for sure!!!

My friend and I ordered 2 lbs of the Fried Wings along with Montreal Dry sauce and Hot Creamy Parmesan sauce. The wings looked and tasted OLD and boy they were tough too. The coating was so hard that I had to use a butter knife to cut it off in order to reach the meat inside, which turned out to be bland and certainly not juicy. The Montreal Dry sauce was merely one tablespoon of Montreal Steak Spice. I measured the stuff just for the heck of it. Dry spice does not fit the definition of a sauce IMO. As for the Hot Creamy Parmesan sauce...ARE YOU KIDDING ME?? It was a small container of bland white salad dressing (?) with a thread of red juice running through it and a small mound of powdered parmesan dumped on top. They hadnt even made the effort to stir this concoction to make it into a homogeneous sauce. And it was not hot in the least. Hands down the worst wings either of us have ever eaten in our respective lives. We both actually felt ill after the meal. What a disappointment. What a sickening waste of money in these trying times.

Went here while on a trip to Ottawa because it wasnt too far from out hotel and had good reviews. The food was very good and the staff is friendly. Our server was great at telling us about items on the menu when we said we hadnt been there before. I loved that they had platters on their menu where you could try a little bit of everything. A good place if youre hungry or want to split a meal with someone. The portions are large and a good price. Also, the sauce and smoke on each meat is a little different, so its not too much of anything.

One does not cube smoked brisket and toss it in sauce! I dont know what to call it, but it wasnt barbeque. Ribs were OK, but not worth going out of your way for. Ambiece was kinda Texas Smoke House vibe, which made the brisket abuse sadder still. Parking: Strip mall location. Wheelchair accessibility: There did not appear to be any access issues in this ground floor, strip mall location. The washroom facilities were small - motorized chairs would certainly not fit in the space available.

Great little hidden gem. Not great for large groups as the seating is limited, but parties of 6 and under is great. Food is pretty, some of it was a little bit greasy, but its to be expected with a BBQ Smoker place. Parking: Large parking lot.

Walking in the aroma of delicious food captures your senses, then you are greeted by a friendly staff member. The cozy interior, which was very clean considering how busy it was and the fantastic menu and delicious food makes it a worthwhile visit!

Be there 3 time and each time the person handling the transaction is rude and last time they forgot my fries and when I came back didnt even apologize. The food is amazing but service is a 0.00

The first thing you notice is how great this place smells. Service was friendly and the food, delicious. The meat on the ribs soft and succulent and all food served at the perfect temperature. My partner said his poutine was very tasty. Would come again when next in town and I recommend you try it out.

My father was was gifted two 25.00 gift certificates. He went in to pick up his order and wanted to use one entire gift card and half of the other. The staff member said he was unable to do that. Either the gift cards had to equal the exact amount, or he could use the second gift card but they d keep the remainder. My dad asked to speak with the manager, who gave him attitude and said he couldn t do that. You should tell your staff to advise your customers they have to get the exact amount for gift certificates, otherwise the restaurant will steal the rest of the funds. I ve been in the restaurant industry for 10 years plus and have never heard of such practice.

Great BBQ spot in the west end. Love the wall decorations. You definitely want to have their smoked wings: they are delicious!

Two friends and I stopped in for lunch this past Saturday. We ordered the Party Pack 4 which was the perfect amount of food for the three of us. All the meats were moist, tender, and covered in BBQ sauce. The sides were a hit as well (corn bread, beans, slaw, and fries).

I ordered through uber eats and the driver was running late, even with the driver (not big bones fault) was 40 minutes late the food was still hot and crispy!! It was absolutely delicious 10/10 recommend.

Was in area and decided to just stop in and order and I m so happy I did! Got the fantasy burger with pig skins and MMMM MMMMM MMMMMM!!!! Fries were perfectly crispy and not overly salted, burger was cooked to perfection , pulled pork wasn t drenched in sauce, potato skins were so crispy. And I have never liked coleslaw but my husband got me to try it and I went back in to order a large because it was so freaking good ! This place should be on the Canada s version of you gotta eat here because it deserves that! The guys were also great. The chef , obviously deserves recognition but the guy behind the counter cashing me out ( unfortunately I didn t get his name but he has blue eyes and slim build ) super nice but not that annoying customer service friendly just genuine and made my visit comfortable. I m definitely returning for more. Kid-friendliness: Staff isn t wearing scantily clad clothing ( mind you when I went it was guys ) lol but no crop tops or butt showing shorts were worn. The place is also not loud so I would definitely bring my 1 year old here

We had Big Bone BBQ cater our wedding and they did a fantastic job. Many of our guests commented on how good the food was, and the service was extremely friendly. They also left the event space clean and as they found it, and packaged up the leftovers for us. Great job!

I was so excited to eat that I forgot to take a pic. The Caesar salad was great the ribs were great the sides were great! Everything you love about rib fest with less chaos . I think its better value than rib fest as there were many sides were included.

Came here on the Labour Day weekend with my husband and daughter and it was fantastic. First off the service was spectacular. There are some people that just know how to treat a customer!! The food.. we had rib dinner, pulled pork sandwich and the Fantasy burger. It was fantastic and excellent value. My daughter devoured her PP Sandwich and said it was the best shes had. Definitely will be our go-to restaurant when in the area. I also look forward to trying the other location in Whitby. The only thing I would give a negative comment on are the chairs. The seat is quite small and the design doesnt make it comfortable for a curvy lady like myself.

I had heard of Big Bone and since I was out Ottawa way, I had to try them out. Really good bbq. The wings and pork ribs were wonderfully smoked, nicely seasoned and not over- sauced. I had to try the brisket as well, beautifully tender and smokey. Now I am not a fan of sauce on brisket, but the sauce they used is a perfect blend of sweet and vinegar. Cornbread was good as was Cole slaw, and I even enjoyed the beans Excellent bbq. Highly recommend.

Their poutines are fantastic. The service and staff are excellent. They are always cheerful. The music in the restaurant does tend to be too loud though. They got my order wrong one time cause they didnt hear me clearly but the guy fixed it without prompting and he refunded me the difference. 10/10.

Thank you to BigBone Bbq for catering a healthy meal of pulled pork and chicken breast with buns and sauce, macaroni and cheese and coleslaw for the Richmond Hill Lightning U16AA team while at the Nepean Ringette Tournament. Parents and players kept raving about the food! The meats were juicy and the macaroni and cheese so cheesy. We will definitely be calling for another meal the next time we come to Kanata.

We ordered Smoked Wings and Fried Wings. Both tasted average and not up to the hype shown in other reviews. It was also expensive for the quantity we got. Lots of french fries with less chicken wings. The fries too were soggy and dull.

Good BBQ..

Very substandard. Pulled pork had little sauce, beef brisket was stewing beef in a bun with very little sauce and very tough. Coleslaw was mediocre at best. The fries were from Costco and the beans are Bushs canned beans put in small containers. To top it off, the order was missing a few items that doesnt do much when you get home to realize this error. Very dissapointed.

All of the main meats that I had were good loved the fried wings loved the ribs loved the pulled pork. The sides however were not bad they were just flavorless. The cornbread had zero flavor and just tasted like eating a new sponge. The baked beans had a smidge of flavor but just barely and left you sad. The coleslaw was okay but overall just basically running and mildly flavorful. If someone from the restaurant reads this hit me up I can give you a recipe for some bomb cornbread that actually has flavor

Really upset after receiving my order tonight. With being new to the area, it was exciting to see that there is a Big Bone so close to us. My food was the farthest thing from what I was looking forward to. I always enjoy the pulled pork sandwich. Mine had little sauce, was extremely dry and my fries were soggy. My boyfriends smoked chicken wings were also dry, cold and almost no sauce at all. Again, fries were soggy. I would prefer to drive the 4 1/2 hours back to my hometown to eat Big Bone again in the future smh

Very bad experience. Picked up 1 full beef rack and 1 lb smoked wings around 5.30 pm .It was ready right away. When I opened the box , the food was cold ( I drove and live 5 minutes away). It was extremely dry with almost no sauce at all !! Terrible !! We couldnt finish the food because it was cold and dry. Did I mention, they charge me $ 56.50 for ONLY 1 Full Rack beef ribs and 1 lb wings !! No fries or nothing on the side. Anyways, pure waste of money!! l gave them tips as well , thought the food would be good. But no, thats it. Probably it was cooked way before, they just microwave or heat it up I dont know. But this place used to be good , a year ago, not sure what happened in between.

Did take out and they forgot all the sauces for their wings. That happens it was how terribly they handled it after 0 customer service skills. Wings over cooked and dry the sauce would have made them edible.

I was very excited to try the pulled pork and brisket here well that was until I tried them absolutely horrible quality of meat was completely inedible the poutine was great but the pork was under seasoned the beef tasted like it was boiled and the wings tasted like they sat for a week before being cooked unfortunately I wont be back

Ordered delivery and was here in 20 minutes. Ordered their version of brisket sandwich. Was leary of the thick cut of the meat but it was so good! Would have liked a bit more onions and peppers but was very tasty!

Its just meh second time weve ordered. Poutine gravy is tasty, sad thing is they make their poutine with frozen McCain fries. Fries were a soggy mess, had a brisket sandwich, found the brisket fatty (which I expect) but found lumps of fat, size of a marble. Also bottom of bun on sandwich was a soggy mess, couldnt even pick the sandwich up, had to use a knife and fork. Buns look like the Delisioso buns you buy at the grocery store off the shelf. Was hoping for better.

Food is good and Im sure if you go to the restaurant everything will be fine. That being said, if you order from delivery (Uber/skip, etc...) your order will be incorrect 95% of the time. A shame because I do like the food.

I actually really enjoy the food at this restaurant however, after 7 delivery orders (yes 7.....like I said I really enjoy their food!) they have NEVER gotten my order right! There is always something missing! And they dont forget the napkins....they forget main components to the dishes! Im not sure why this is but every order has been delivered with missing items! I get that mistakes happen but have been super disappointed time and again! I may go to the restaurant in the future but will never order delivery from this place ever again! I even called the restaurant to let them know how often this happens but they didnt seem to care

The food is great but they close WAY too early, everytime I want to order from there they are always closed. 8pm is way too early for a food place to close

Extremely disappointing experience. We were really excited to try a local place after finding out about this place from a friend. Ordered a Party pack + Strips + Cheese bread. When I called, the gentleman had to check if they had enough cheesy bread and chicken strips....which was a bit baffling, considering what we received for these dishes. Their chubby cheesy garlic bread, were pre-made hamburger bun halves, with garlic spread and shredded cheese on it. Complete waste of money and we couldnt believe thats what was served as a dish for $10.75. Same thing with their chicken strips; for $15 we received essentially what looked like frozen/fried chicken strips with hot sauce. They werent even properly covered with the sauce and were very dry. Ribs were a bit on the dry side but decent and same with the smoked jerk wings. The battered wings were more on the soggy side with little flavour. On top of all this, the gravy x 2 that was forgotten and not included in the order. Considering the restaurant was empty when the food was picked up..two hours before they close; theres no reason for missing food items. The food is absolutely not worth the price they charge for it; unfortunately unless they improve their qualify significantly, I cant in good conscious recommend this place to anyone.

Disappointed in my pulled brisket sandwich. Nothing pulled about it. Spent $130 on dinner to be disappointed. Called to see if it could be fixed, voicemail encouraged me to call back. What a waste the dogs enjoyed though.

Ate here today for Fathers Day, had a mixed platter. Everything was really good. Ribs are tasty, Wings we re good, Pulled Pork and Brisket, as well as most of the sides. Took a star off as the Corn Bread was cold, think the loaves are all pre-baked and stored in fridge. Never heard or experienced Corn Bread being served cold like that (very cold). Asked the guy there and he said that s how they serve it.

I ordered wings and poutine for pick up. Upon arriving home, I found a container of fries and a container with the wings. I called and the guy told me to return to get the poutine for free. Once I arrived, he gave me the poutine but didnt issue a refund. Nick came to explain that I am receiving what I paid for. The only way they would issue a refund would mean them taking the food. They said that I am receiving extra fries and this is sufficient compensation for their mistakes. Will not be returning.

We ordered through Uber Eats and we are within 10 minute radius of this place. We ordered poutines with brisket and a side of brisket. One of the poutines didn t show so I called to let them know, and they just said to request the refund. Also, the poutine was soggy and the sauce was gelatinous. I m not sure how that can happen within 10 minutes of ordering. The brisket was not fresh and quite hard to chew and I didn t really taste the bbq flavour. I honestly can t imagine how anyone could give this place 4-5 stars. Maybe they do a better job in the restaurant, but I won t find out as I will never order from them again.

Great little location. Food was very good - ribs were tender, baked beans yummy and the corn bread was just delicious! Service was really quick and food was plentiful - we had the party pack and were glad to bring home the leftovers. :)

Had gone regularly to Big Bone in Vaughan and Newmarket for over a decade. Moved to Ottawa and tried the Kanata location. Food was dry, overcooked and cornbread was inedible. Service was ok but far from friendly. The Sunday crew seemed annoyed to be there and working. Will not be returning to Big Bone. End of an era.

The location is OK. The decor is OK. The service was OK. Amazing smoked ribs. Excellent chicken wings. If you want to eat out and eat some satisfying man food, this restaurant is the best.

Super friendly staff and the food is just hands down the best BBQ you can ask for. We have been there three times so far, and each time the food was amazing. Highly recommend.

We recently had Big Bone cater our wedding and they were a HUGE hit! Nearly every guest that we had came up to us to tell us how much they enjoyed the meal. Manny was very easy to communicate with both leading up to the wedding and on the day of, and his team were extremely professional and polite. They served appetizers followed by a buffet style meal, and then came back several hours later to set up the late night snack (which we were not expecting! We were under the impression that this would just be set up right after the dinner!). They were also easily able to accommodate for some of our guests who had severe allergies. And another bonus was that they didnt charge us an arm and a leg for the meal like a lot of other caterers were trying to. The pricing was fair and well within our budget and allowed us not to break the bank. I would HIGHLY recommend going with Big Bone if you have an event that needs catering!

7 out of 5 stars!!! Came across this gem while searching for something else online. So very glad I did Two words: Smoked Wings. Theyre super tender and delicious. Ribs are smoked to perfection... even the fries are epic. I meant to take pictures of my plate but I couldnt wait long enough to fill my face. Dont miss out on this one!

Way overpriced

Ive never been so full in my life. That was quality food at a fair price. The pulled pork, wings and ribs didnt disappoint. Well be back. We have so many more things to try on the menu. Now, excuse me while I drift into a food coma.

I asked Big Bone BBQ to cater our wedding. Manny really delivered. His quote was very reasonable and he always adjusted when we had add-ons or adjustments for vegetarians. Communication was very good. Compared to other wedding BBQ quotes, Manny was so reasonable. The food got rave reviews on the day of. Manny and his staff were so friendly and helpful. I would 100% recommend Big Bone for catering.

I loved the pulled pork. I actually liked it better without any sauce because then you get that rich smoky flavour! Weve since ordered a couple more times from here. And its been ok at best.

Excellent food and generous portions. We had a pulled pork sandwich and a big bond combo - chicken wings and ribs. Both dinners came with a small portion of beans and coleslaw as well as fries. Everything was delicious. Fries were perfect - crispy outside, soft inside. We will be back!

Great guys providing great service (5stars). I have been to basically all the BBQ joints in Ottawa, this one had some amazing meats. The fries were bomb too. The other sides were a bit lackluster and could be improved (coleslaw & cornbread) (4/5). The atmosphere, well, its a quaint little BBQ joint in a Kanata strip mall, so for what it is, 5 stars. However, as far as atmosphere goes compared to other joints in the city, its a basic (not bad) 3/5.

In all honesty, was a bit disappointed in the ribs. Got the 6 bone that comes with beans slaw cornbread and pouting. Ribs were dry, over cooked and under sauced. Everything else was mediocre in my opinion. Over priced for the quality and quantity. Was still hungry after eating.

Super disappointed. The food here is GREAT. I stumbled upon this restaurant over 2 years ago, Ive told so many people about them, I used to order from them for pickup once a week every week, their smoked wings are my favorite. However....the staff have obviously changed somewhat over the past 8 months and they cant seem to get a side right anymore. I work in a VERY busy restaurant, I get it, sometimes mistakes happen, but theyre literally on the phone writing my order while Im giving it and saying it back to me to confirm they heard correctly. How does it go from all good to being completely changed in 15 mins?! To make matters worse the only thing they ever offer when you call them after returning home to find the wrong meal is a you can drive back to get the right order we messed up ...drive back on my dime, for your mistake while the rest of my order that was correct gets cold and/or soggy.... I suggest you unpack and check your order right there at the front before you even pay them if youre ordering to go. Im so over the shotty customer service Ill never go back.

Have been to Big Bone a few times and its always a pretty great value for the money. The meats and sides are all good and you get generous portions of some pretty delicious BBQ. The smoked wings are also a really nice change from the norm that you cant really get anywhere else. If I had a complaint I would say that they tend to under-sauce some of the meat, but thats easily remedied by just asking for some extra sauce on your food (and this is even a contentious topic with BBQ places as some do this deliberately so you taste the smoke of the meat more).

Tasty wings,tender ribs, very flavorful, the breads are to die for....didnt appreciate the sauce, everything is so good no need to cover or dip in sauce.... Went on a Saturday afternoon at the guy behind the counter was really friendly. Food
