Impressed with our whole experience. We were greeted and seated promptly. Our server was friendly and professional even though she was busy. Our meals came out in good time and we're amazing. I can't wait to go back.
The fresh fruit with your meal was quite enjoyable, with large portions that keep you satisfied! Our waitress Desiree makes us want to come back! She was personable and fun
Probably one of the best locations in town. Service was great despite it being rush hour. While Cora is definitely on the upper end of pricing, the food tasted great and was presented exactly as per the photos on the menu. Would recommend!
We can’t recommend Coras Restaurant enough! As a regular breakfast visitor, we’ve always been impressed by the consistently outstanding food and service. The menu offers a fantastic variety of delicious options, from classic favorites to unique twists that keep me coming back for more. The staff is truly exceptional—friendly, attentive, and always ready with a warm smile. They make you feel like part of the family, which enhances the dining experience. The ambiance is cozy and inviting, perfect for starting the day right. If you're looking for a breakfast spot where quality and hospitality shine, Coras is the place to be!
Our server was on her second day and she was a delight! Made our dining experience for sure. Food is good, pricey but a nice treat once in a while.
At the beginning, the service was fast. Got my order under twelve minutes . But we did another 5 minutes to get a coffee when I got my order. It was a little cold. Put an alarm to add and see my waitress for a little while. She did not come and see if I was OK or if I needed more coffee. I have to ask a different waitress to give me A refill on my copy. And she only put half of my cup. After that I would another 15 minutes before one of them came by and asked me if I wanted my bill. The restaurant was in busy enough to forget about me.
Took a bit to be seated, but our server was amazing and very efficient. Food arrived and it was delicious and fresh. The one issue I had was that my latte was served cold with no foam which was disappointing. So I had to order tea which was a better choice. Also, our seating was very tight and uncomfortable. All and all it was a very nice experience.
Started going for breakfast as I started working in the area, first 2 times I ordered from the early bird menu at 6:30 and was told the second time I was not allowed to order from the early bird for takeout… third time I ordered 2 eggs, bacon, and a blueberry pancake. Cost me 22$ from the regular menu and the food was not great. I always tip and am happy to get breakfast but 22$ a day is ridiculous
Service is good however if u want to pay 30 for some eggs and everything is cold head on down to Coras lol
First visit during my trip. The employees were smiling and friendly. The service was good as was the food. Generous plates as usual. The restaurant was a bit dated.
Excellent lunch. Vast choice. Price a little high.
Nice
My waiter Desiree was super helpful and polite, I can t wait to come back!!!
Great food, Great experience, welcoming service. Our server Desi was amazing! Highly recommend a visit to Coras on St Laurent Food : 5/5
Our server, Desiree, was extremely attentive and courteous. Food was good and fast. Certainly worth going back to this location.
The food is solid. Proces are reasonable. Lots of fruits. Service is consistently great.
Not a clean restaurant! If you go to the washroom you will stick to the floor! Took forever for a waitress to come but once she did it was OK. Luke warm water for tea and the worst hashbrowns ever! We wont be going back
We had the best experience here :) Our waitress was called Desiree and she was such a sweetheart!! 10/10
Good food and service. Great if you are not in a rush.
The place is great , food and drinks are amazing and more important the service is wonderful , thanks for Skylar she made our day wonderful
Good service, but the food was not the best.
The service was fantastic! We did go in a large group so I understand that some food may be done sooner than others, however my omelette was not good at all - over done and dried out. It seemed as if it was placed under a heat lamp for an extended period of time. Was quite disappointed in the food.
Server was good, until I spotted overcharges on the bill. The breakfast was completely inedible... Rotton spinach killed my apetite. Years ago, Coras was reliable, but the last few visits confirm to me that food quality has plummeted while the prices skyrocketed.
So for the price its good value for money. The service, however, was average. I asked for a dairy-free smoothie and they made me one with it. When I told my server he assured me that it didnt have yogurt. However, my whole family tasted it and it tasted like yogurt. Im allergic! I gave my drink to my 8 year old son and I didnt drink the whole meal. I paid for a smoothie that I didnt drink. We also waited a long time before being given a table, especially since we had reserved before.
Amazing food, great service!
Good atmosphere & service. Just too expensive.
Good food, good food and very good service, as Im not a regular at Coras, I find it a bit abusive to charge for coffee when most other restaurants dont do it (included in the meal)
Food was kind of good but not my taste, my husband liked it, the supervisor was mean and treated us in a bad way unlike the waiters they were very friendly, nice place and clean, also very expensive.
Everything was cold, my toast was 1/4 buttered and the potatoes were undercooked.
Its very good in everything
Best breakfast
In some ways I think this location is an example of what Coras should be. The waitress was polite, friendly, and helpful. The food was better than I expected. I would not hesitate to recommend this location of chorus if youre thinking about a breakfast brunch type meal
We could clearly hear two different music sources.
The best
Always delicious food. I had a crepe topped with fresh fruit and cream, my partner had Ben and Dictin eggs and our child had a crumbled crepe with egg and ham. The childrens menu is excellent with several varied choices. Coffee is expensive for the quality and quantity, it is worth it if you intend to drink several cups (refills). The service was excellent.
The food was great. My eggs came out hot. The waitress knew that we didnt want to rush things, so she gave us the space to settle in. Service was wonderful.
We enjoyed our last visit here. The food and service was exceptionally good.
Food at this location not as good as at the Richmond Rd location
Way overpriced, homefries were cold, fruit was turning brown.
Some menus are broken and felt sticky and not very clean. I odered a veggie omelette without Ham and Tomatoes. I wanted mushrooms instead. The waiter told me that I would be charged extra for mushrooms! Why I would be charged extra for mushrooms if I removed tomatoes and Ham from my dish? I refused the idea and left the restaurant immediately without ordering anything. Restaurants must be generous and more welcoming.
Lettuce was rotted. Fruit was going bad. Coffee was tasteless and cost more than Tim Hortons. 90 bucks for a subpar breakfast for a family of 4. Id recommend going to Broadways instead
Prices have gone up to the point of absurdity. The food is fine, but certainly not worth $30 for breakfast. Used to come here semi-regularly, but its gone beyond the point of being justifiable so we wont be returning
Always excellent food and service. Also, it is always a bit expensive for breakfast. Food : 5/5
The staff a the Cora on St Laurent are so kind and helpful. They went above and beyond for our Dad when he was craving an omelette after 2 days of fasting in hospital, reheating the stove after the restaurant had just closed to make it happen. They showed kindness when they probably wanted to close up, and we are very grateful. This restaurant really showed heart. Thank you!
Paid $100. for 2 adults and 2 children to eat 4 basic breakfasts with 1 egg, 1 meat and home fries with orange juice. Extremely overpriced.
Its a really broken Cora, needs a up grade.
Way way over priced.... Can feed a village for the price of a regular breakfast at Coras
I went here last Sunday and the hosting staff were very nice! I liked the fruit variety, very tasty and fresh. I also had a latte which was a nice treat! Brianna was our server and was very friendly, attentive, and overall fantastic!! It was clear that it was very busy, but she took the time to make sure we had a nice experience and ensured my allergies were well taken care of. After this experience, we will definitely be coming back!
We had Donya as our server and she was amazing!!! Super friendly and attentive to our needs. Always there to top up our coffee
Amazing service! Donya was our server and she was terrific.
Had a small gathering for a friend, service was lacking although the place was not overly busy, everyone received their meals except 2 of us. The waitress was apologetic, but still needed to wait 5 mins longer. We always had to ask for coffee or table syrup or condiments. The waitress was very friendly just seemed overly preoccupied.
Staff not friendly. Restaurant not busy 2pm. Waited 3-5 minutes for server to arrive. Almost finished meal before server to be seen to get service. Not happy will not return.
Delicious food and AMAZING service from Donia
Good portions and service, breakfast was reasonably priced. Will go back.
If consistency is what you seek in your dining experience, look no further than Coras. From the moment you step through the door, youre greeted with the aroma of freshly prepared dishes and a warm ambiance that sets the tone for a delightful meal. Whether youre craving a classic breakfast or a hearty lunch, Coras delivers every time. The quality of ingredients is evident in every bite, and the attention to detail in presentation never fails to impress. The staff are attentive and friendly, ensuring that your dining experience is nothing short of exceptional. With Coras, you can always count on a delicious meal that leaves you satisfied and looking forward to your next visit.
This is a great family restaurant to have a great breakfast meal. It also has other options to choose from.
Very good service and unsalted food!! Loved it
Everything about this Coras location is inviting. My first time at this location....wont be my last.
By far the best Cora in Ottawa! Serving portions are generous, staff is always super friendly and food tastes fresh and delicious. I always get the Eggs Ben & Dictine with spinach, caramalized onion and cheddar cheese, it comes with a side of roasted potatoes and fresh fruit so that s my recommendation!
We go as a group of retired teachers once a month. This is our second year and we are very pleased with both the service and food.
best coras in ottawa and awesome staff, 10/10 recommend!!!!
Awesome staff!! Would come here everyday for breakfast!
Came for the all you can eat crepes. Crepes tasted horrible dont ever get them. BUT server was super nice and there was an older gentleman at the table beside us chatting with us. dont come if youre not prepared to chit chat
Good food but quite crowded
The staff was amazing . Efficient, positive and polite. The menu options were endless! However, the restaurant itself was run down, dirty and there were fruit flies. Made for an unpleasant experience.
Waiting time 20 minutes before seating as is its a busy place, food was excellent and good. The service was great. Would recommend eating here.
Both service and food was good It was super busy and still was excellent Food
very nice and attentive staff
very good food ,I enjoyed it and lots of fresh delicious fruits.See yourself.
Had Donya as a waitress. She was next level efficient. Super friendly. Always back before I could ask for something else. Best waitress I ve had in years. Great spot for breakfast, and excellent service!
Our server Donya was great. Smile and pleasant.
Server Mira, I think was great.
Food was Luke warm/cold. Some of it underdone, some overdone. Coffee bitter. Cooks dont have head/beard covering. Server was very friendly!
Good food, a little expensive for lunches.
Spinach and cheddar crepomelettes are delicious for eggitarians! Mango banana smoothie is superr
Amazing and delicious Brunch location!
We were seated quickly. The staff were kind and attentive. The food left to be desired. I was not a fan of the breakfast potatoes at all. They are wedged potatoes that are under cooked in the middle due to size. The sausage in the breakfast poutine was the super processed kind not normally found with breakfast. The hollandaise sauce was on point tho! Dietary restrictions: They were good with omitting items from my dish. They did have gluten free options!
The hostess, Shana, was super nice and courteous. Great customer service.
Friendly staff, great GF options Dietary restrictions: Good GF options Food : 5/5 |
Everything was very tasty, clean and very attentive in the service.
A bit loud and the service was a bit slow - but friendly! Food was very good.
This Cora restaurant is my first stop every Saturday morning. The service is mostly great, but getting seated can be slow at times, depending on who are the hostesses. The food is great too. My favourites include the Eggs Benedict (Salmon), 10 Star Omelette and the pancakes. Oh, and I always start off with a Lattè. Parking: One disabled parking spot is available, but the parking lot at the front is quite small. More parking is available at the back, including one other disabled parking spot. Wheelchair accessibility: This restaurant is accessible if your chair is not too wide. There are tight corners in the entrance. Washroom has accessible stall but no automated doors.
Had a great breakfast
Great service!! Dietary restrictions: The egg and fruit plate is an excellent option for a lower point/calorie meal. Food : 5/5 |
Service was good. Not remarkable, but thats expected anywhere. They serve potatoes, which are potato/home fry hybrids. Good in concept, but undercooked for all three of our meals. I had the three meat burger. It wasnt bad, but didnt surpass anything I can do at home. I discovered that deli ham on a burger isnt necessarily a good idea. The Holly Poutine (Hollandaise, cheese and potatoes), would have been fantastic if cooked properly, and in moderation. Very rich. The other plates at my table looked good (crepes and scrambled eggs), but again, not exceptional. In my opinion, any small diner, not chain operated, would probably serve a much superior midday meal. We dont eat out very often, so I cant compare pricing. Thanks for reading.
Amazing! Couldn t say any greater things. The food was fast, the eggs Benedict were fantastic, and the the fruit were all fresh 10/10!
Food isnt good. I regret going.
Fabulous brunch and coffee delicious. Nice to share Ede with the Samalians. All very beautifully dressed and all so happy. Special memory made. Food
Food and service was good. Noisy but we were there at a busy time.
It was a pricey breakfast, & not pleasant with flies in the dining room & bathroom. As well the cooking staff were loud. We will not return there.
Theres a reason why I stopped coming here over a year ago but today I decided to give it a second chance and boy I wish I didnt. Im down 40 bucks for a meal I could have made better at home. The tomatoes arent ripe and when I mentioned this to the waitress, she just brought the same ones out again. They genuinely served me burnt toast and when I mentioned that my toast was clearly burnt, the waitress said well thats just how we make it here, like huh?! The turkey sausages were gross and very clearly microwaved as they were still frozen in the center. Didnt bother complaining about that though complaining about the toast and tomatoes didnt get me anywhere. If my server was friendly I probably would have just accepted that this isnt the spot for me and moved on, but the terrible service mixed with the terrible food inclined me to review and warn people to steer clear!
Its a roll of the dice as to which part of your breakfast will be rotten/soured. Fruit or beans or creton. Always take very small nibbles first. Can you imagine the state of their walk-in cooler? Calling Gordon Ramsay....
Amazing staff and lovely waitress. When it comes to the food though i dont feel like you get the value for what you pay for. I ordered a brioche elise i think it was, supposed to be brioche dipped in french toast batter, along the lines of that. But it honestly looked and tasted like it was cut up cinnamon buns with cream and berries top. Extremelyyyy sweet, felt like i was inhaling sugar at that point. Personally it was not worth $22
Stopped by for lunch on the way to Montreal. THIS had to be the worst food ever. 3 of us dined and all our dishes were cold, food burnt took 10 min to deliver toast as food got colder. It was dirty dingy and my bill was almost 80.00 for plates we pretty much didnt touch as it was unedible
Excellent service and great meal.
Ordered the smoked salmon and Theos omelette + triple chocolate pancake + tuna sandwich Excellent food, prompt service and lively ambiance. What else do you need from the perfect breakfast place?
My experience here was terrible. We were seated and then no one came to check on us. No server came and offered us water or took our order. We sat there for what felt like an eternity. We finally got up and left because the servers were just standing around chatting. They seemed like they had no interest in taking our order or even doing their job properly. My wife and I love coming here for breakfast all the time but we may not anymore because the service is so terrible. Please fix your servers attitudes because the service is sorely lacking today! We ended up going to Tim Hortons and eating in the car
Worst breakfast ever. Ordered eggs Benedict. Egg shell in it and burnt potatoes . Last time you will see me there . 22$$$$$
Food was very tasteless couldnt even brimg myself to finish my meal, service was decent but a bit slow. Did not get what we asked for but didnt bother making a big deal about it because we just wanted to leave
The breakfast was great and the waitress was very friendly.
Not very pleased with the food quality today, the eggs and potatoes were cold. The cantaloupe was bruised and old and looked uninviting.
Our server was lovely and very polite. One plate of food came and mine came about fifteen minutes later, and my eggs were raw. Not the standard we are used to. We were unfortunately seated near the washroom and one of the staff came out loudly describing a mess someone had left. Lost my appetite!
The coffee is not included in a $20 plates, as the other brunch places $20 to eat + $4 for a small regular filtered coffee is very expensive.
Good service and fair price
Love Cora. I always enjoy their breakfast and service is always good.
Early bird special is great value.
Great fresh food, quick and friendly service. Everything needed for a good brunch with family
Love this place, servers are super nice, great for a Monday morning
The food was not good. first one came out burnt second one was under cooked. Customer service was not great and over priced for quantity
Cora is like a standard for brunch. Nice ambience, nice service, nice brunch. Nice too.
Was a very average breakfast. The oatmeal was tasty and plentiful for $13. Would order again.
The sandwich was not delicious at all. I had to eat it because I had to pay for it. Plus, the salad was stale. It was definitely made using the pre-washed salads you can find at grocery stores as I could smell the preservatives. Strawberries on the picture are also stale and not good to eat. It was my first time and will be my last time going there. I do NOT recommend this place.
Unfortunately I had a terrible breakfast along with the company that also dined with me. The fruit was not ripe, potatoes were stone cold, pancakes burned. My ham was greasy and covered with grill scraping. I was more than disappointed. I know what it takes to be a good breakfast cook and this place really needs one. The only plus was the service.
our server was super friendly and chipper!
The food is tasty and delicious. The service was excellent. The server name was tatiana
Yummilicious food
The food prices have drastically increased and the quality was very disappointing. We chose Coras as part of a celebration as we do every year and we will not go back.
Food is tasty and good. Staff so nice and welcoming... 8/10 Food : 4/5
Donya was a very good waitress! She is very kind and she played along with my family very well. They re rowdy and she handled it like a champ.
Donya rocked!! Great service. So friendly! Coming back next week!
Brunch with friends and family. Venue was good, but the stellar and friendly service is why I ll be back. Thanks Donya.
Everything very rich and well attended
Cannot say enough about the wonderful service we experienced with Donya as our server. She was polite, always smiled and anticipated our needs (ie keeping kiddo busy, bringing water before we needed to ask, refilling coffee, etc). She also checked in on us to make sure everything was good without interrupting our conversation. What a breath of fresh air!
Very good fruit salad. Donya, our waitress, was wonderful. Friendly, cheerful, efficient. Highest marks.
Potatoes were tasteless..toast umelted better on all 4 slices..overall bland meal waitress was good
I had the best waiter the food was good to
the service at the opening on Friday October 13 was immaculate! bilingual, professional, out of the ordinary! worthy of a great restaurant!
Hospital cafeteria at best, cold food on a piping hot plate does not make it good. How do you screw up a club, well throw in some rubber chicken in some bread with tasteless toppings, serve it with some cold home fries , thats how. I felt bad for the server, she was nice
Very disappointed...first time there....$30 for a not good bfast :( .....called manager to talk after and didnt even offer a GC to try once more so wont go back:(.....toast wasnt toasted/ bacon looked like done a week ago/scrambled eggs were pitiful/ .....uggggghhhhh .....if manager was helpful wouldnt have even left bad review but he just totally lost a customer + more from this review....not good business at all
We went in at lunch time. The restaurant was quiet and we had great service. The food was out super quick and was delicious.
Its a diner servicing diner food. If you like that sort of thing u will probably be happy. Been to worse!
Most of my food was over cooked
Nice place, good food with respectful staff. Won t recommend on weekend morning specifically if you have infant because it s very busy but it s your taste if you like this atmosphere too.
Wide choice of breakfast favorites... lots of fresh fruit on every plate. Friendly service.
Our server was amazing and had a great late breakfast
Celiac/GF watch out. So my wife and I are in Ottawa and she is celiac disease. I contacted the restraunt by phone to ask about GF options. They gave me options and I asked to make an order. I was told to do it online. I ordered online like the restraint told me and ordered the items I asked about on the phone. When I arrived I was told that infact the dish for my wife was not GF. I was told to cancel the order online. I showed the hostess my phone asking her to show me how to cancel. She said she would get the manager. I waited approx 10 minutes. No manager. I asked the hostess again. The message was oh we can t cancel orders from our website . So I m out 60 bucks for food she can t eat. After following this restraurants exact directions and advice regarding food for a person with celiac. I m standing here at the front counter still waiting for my food. Wonder if the manager will come even talk to me. 25 minutes since I was told to place my order online. Do not recommend at all this location. Dietary restrictions: Do not go here for GF or celiac. Don t listen to the staff.
Service was slow, asked for a condiment that never arrived. Food ordinary.
Found a hair in my food. Told my server. They have an open kitchen you can hear them talk at your table. One of the staff said I took the hair from my head. The hair was black my hair is white blonde. Worst experience ever at Cora s or any restaurant I have ever been too. I will never recommend coras to anyone I know .
Really disappointing. We understand the delays to be seated and for food to come because there was a staff shortage, but the quality of the food was awful: overcooked, dry eggs; undercooked yet burned potatoes, cardboard toast, bad coffee, old fruit. Neither breakfast had any redeeming qualities. This is our last time here.
Came here with my son, food was good, it was quite busy but we still had a good experience. We asked for the bill and the waitress tipped herself (when she put the bill into the machine, she also hit tip + 18%). I always tip at restaurants, always! But I didnt appreciate the waitress doing it for me, thats not right.
Very good service! Our waitress Donya was very friendly and nice. Food came fast. 5 stars I don t understand the bad reviews Parking: It was good. No too packed
There was a hair in the food..disgusting!
I always love Coras. Food is always good. Fruits are fresh. Staff is friendly. The only downfall is that its a bit pricey so I keep for a once in a while treat.
Too slow and crowded!
The girls are sweet, they take great care of you
Took one hour to get the food. The came back to our table after 50 mins to tell us that the she forgot to put the order in. It took 25 mins to get a coffee and water.
The food was pretty good but the service was very slow. Granted, they were quite busy!!!! We had a better experience at the Ottawa, Hunt Club location.
The staff there were lovely, they just needed more of them on a Friday morning. Vegetarian options: Plenty of options Dietary restrictions: Able to accommodate - we had a vegan in our group and the meal was exceptional.
The head chief, guy named Ali, was speaking, short of yelling for about 40 minutes on and off. Customers heads kept watching what was going on. Over simple things, made for a uncomfortable eating experience. Shame, people dont have much time to relax, to have to go through this.
I personally will not be returning with my girlfriends and family. This is not the atmosphere that I want to be paying for. The service staff is superb, but on the other hand, I do not come for the form of entertainment the manager (who is very adamant thats what he is, kitchen manager) puts on. I, on some visits, I would hear him yell at staff for a very long time. Clear as day, turning heads in the restaurant. I now enjoy a peaceful environment at the Lincoln Fields location.
