BTP goes from strength to strength. Great beer, great service, great atmosphere.

Ottawa Civic Tech worked with the BTP team for its October meeting and we couldnt be more pleased with the professionalism and friendliness of the advance team and the event servers. They made sure the A/V equipment was ready to go and the tasty appetizers were plated and ready for our 40+ participants. We highly recommend BTP for your event!

We really enjoyed hosting our fundraiser at Beyond the Pale, the staff was amazing and incredibly supportive, we heard from many of our attendees how impressed they were. We will definitely be back in the future!

A great place with awesome beer and fantastic staff!

Service was terrible. The waiter would take forever to take our order and bring the bill. The food was meh. BBQ chicken was dry and cold. Asked for an extra set of cutlery but never received it. I had to stand up and grab it myself. I was so disappointed with this place

Nice beer, food is overrated. However, the service was the worst of all. I had to ask the waiter to take my order (because no one did for the first 20 mins I was there) after that, I had to get up from my table to ask for my cutlery because the server didnt give me one and no one was paying attention to me. Later on, no one followed up for the bill at the end of my meal (I waited at least 20 mins). It was my first time there and my last too.

BTP has been a long time favourite of my husband and Is for their beer, smoquehouse food, and patio. Last night, I held a party on their upper mezzanine and I highly recommend choosing BTP for events. The events team responded to my questions promptly and helpfully, the catering was delicious, the bar service and serving staff were fantastic. They even let us store the cake in their fridge in the hours before the event. Thanks so much BTP team for helping us throw a great party!

Exceptional beer, exceptional staff, exceptional food. Nice spot to have some drinks and a meal. Nashville chicken was excellent.

Ribs were horrible and chewy. Burger was okay but quite dry. Beers were good and the freedom to create your own flight was great.

I love BTP. I ve been here casually with friends and love the QR code system to order, both on the patio and inside. The beers are consistently great. It s great that they host OCRC on Tuesdays and Fridays, it really makes them part of the Ottawa community. I recently hosted an event of ~45 people in their upstairs section. Working with Jake and Natalie to coordinate the bar and menu (all via email!) was so easy. We had our own bartender for the event - Max - who was wonderful. He was attentive and friendly. The food was delicious, and gone almost immediately. I should have ordered more!! My event went perfectly and I would absolutely recommend BTP to friends and family for future events. Thanks again!!

The Nashville burger - If you re a fan of bold flavors and a little bit of heat, this burger is an absolute must try. It s more than just a meal, it s an experience. Will be back 100% just for that burger.

You have to view the menu on your phone using a QR code, order online, and pre-pay. What?! Order ONLINE? Pre-pay with tip BEFORE you ve been served? I ll go to a pub instead that does it the old fashioned way, thank you very much. You know. Where you order from a PERSON and get the bill when you re DONE.

Expensive, small portions, pilsner was flat, confusing ordering system. Staff doesnt check in with you or ask how things were, took forever to get the cheque. Wont be back.

Great beer, only complaint is there isnt enough housing nearby. Maybe the giant empty parking lot could be used for something productive like places for people to live and start businesses

UPDATE *** I was contacted by management and we will go back t o hopefully this time being able to go in and have an actual experience. Will update again. ---- Just so you know sometimes they don t even call you when you are on that wait list . We waited for 2.5 hours and still . We never got called, neither we got a cancelation message or anything. I doubled checked the phone number and it was correct !!!! So disappointing.

Not the greatest experience. Didnt have any outdoor seating, which we requested. They said theyd text us when theres a table open outside for us and never collected our phone number. We were told we had to order through the QR code and pay online but then a server came around and seemed confused that we did that. The food took about 45 minutes to arrive after drinks. Beer was good. Food was okay. The menu didnt say the burger had mayo on it and because we ordered it online there wasnt a way to modify the order. That ruined it for my partner who hates mayo. Dont even get me started on the parking situation. $40 to park just to eat here. Not coming back anytime soon .

Its a decent pub, lots of parking. The only complaint is the super uncomfortable steel bar stools....get rid of them!

Sitting at the restaurant while I write the review. My entire table got their food and finished it before me and another member even received food. Even though my boyfriend and I ordered at the exact same time on the same order. The food itself was small. My club chicken was so tiny and had NO meat for $24. My boyfriend s fries were butt cold. The other members at the table poutines they ordered had nooooo gravy. The beer is the only thing keeping this place in business. I have no idea why it s so busy. Will never be coming back. As I write this one member of our table still doesn t have food and the rest of the table finished 20 minutes ago.

Why am I waiting 50 minutes after everyone else in the party of 8 had finished the food. Ordered 2 mins after the rest to get some pulled pork and fries. My order was for me and my partner and I was able to finish my entire food before she got hers. Two people got poutines with a tablespoon worth of gravy (didn t know there was a shortage?). Unfortunate considering place has a great location. Would not recommend.

Stumbled upon this place after googling dog friendly patio and very very pleasanyltly surprised! The staff is very friendly and helpful. The patio is in a parking lot but does not feel like it - they created a very homey feeling with fake grass, cozy lighting and nice sun blockers. The employees brought water bowls for our dog and offered good recommendations for food and beer, which were delicious. 10/10 would recommend and will be back again :)

Were having an absolutely wonderful experience here tonight. Were big fans of the QR code system and the team has been beyond excellent and attentive throughout our evening here. Were blown away by the standard the team has set tonight and we look forward to the next time we come here, as the service has been friendly and helpful and the team has not missed a beat. Also, bonus, the patio is dog friendly and the staff have been, once again, beyond friendly and attentive. The food and beer is delicious too but seriously the staff, nothing but good things to say.

Went here for lunch with a friend, thought it looked great. I had to order myself using a QR code. Pay up front and tip. The smallest suggestion was 18%! For what? So far, I ve done all the work. I should get the tip! Food was ok. Not sure if it was made in house or came frozen in a box. Beer was great. I will not be back. Sad, really.

Great night for great beer with my father-in-law and son. Fabulous vibe in this artsy brewery/ bar/restaurant. I love the decoration. Adorning the walls today was many, many painted skateboard decks. Apparently soon to go on auction. This wouldn t be complete without a mention of the crazily decorated washrooms. 6 individual unisex washrooms all decorated differently. Service, food and drinks were exceptional and I cannot recommend BTP enough!!! Had the best experience despite a few minor issues. The food (pulled pork, baked beans, cornbread and nashville chicken sandwich and fries) and drinks (oatmeal stout, nepa and rye guy ipa) were all delicious and the staff and manager went above and beyond to quickly resolve the couple minor issues and I could not have asked for a nicer experience. Already cant wait to go back and continue to try other items on the menu.

I had recently celebrated my birthday at the BTP, and it was an absolute delight! From the moment we walked in, the customer service was exceptional. The staff went above and beyond to make our experience memorable. The food was absolutely delicious, with a wide variety of options to choose from. Each dish was expertly prepared, and the flavors were top-notch. Now, lets talk about the beers. Wow! The brewery really knows their craft. Each brew we tried was full of flavor and expertly crafted. One thing that really stood out was the QR code ordering system. It made the whole dining experience super convenient. With just a scan of the code, we could browse the menu, place our order, and pay all from our smartphones. I wish every restaurant had this system; its a game-changer. Ill definitely be back, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a memorable dining experience.

I used the Beyond the Pale venue to host a professional networking event for approximately 140 people and it was a huge success! This is our 3rd year having the event at BTP and every year it just keeps getting better. The success of the event was greatly attributed to the whole BTP team! I contacted them months in advance about the prospect of hosting the event and they were able to provide guidance on food options, drinks the venue space, etc. The original idea was that attendees would be sitting down at tables; however, during the event this quickly changed to folks standing and moving around to socialize. The BTP staff were great as they quickly adapted to this change. Thank you for helping to make this event a success for us! We are certainly looking forward to having it at your location again! They ask you to pay and tip through a QR code before receiving any service. It was good food but Im with the boomers on this one: We want servers and menus, not QR codes and servants.

This was our first time here and we loved it. So many good things to say. We sat on the patio with our pup and had a pint and fried pickles. The beer was great, and the pickles were top notch. The many servers we saw were so kind, helpful, and accommodating. 10/10 would recommend! And we can t wait to come back!

Ive dined in here twice, and consider it mediocre at best in terms of food quality, service and overall customer experience. Oddly I cant judge the beer, which may be great; but eating here is not worth the hassle of coming to this inconvenient location. If you do, bring a phone, because thats the only way to order.

We tried their finger foods and some of the tap beer flights and really loved them. Atmosphere was great overall as well.

Great beer selection

This past weekend, we held a 40th birthday party in the upstairs space at BTP. From finding information on the website, and planning the event with Madison, to the execution on the day of, everything was flawless. BTP was so accommodating and patient with my many, many questions. Madison was always quick to respond to my enquiries and always provided fulsome responses and great guidance. She helped put together a menu of appetizers to serve my guests that was perfect! The appetizers I ordered for the crowd were a huge hit. I cant comment on the food myself as it was all gobbled up before I got a chance to check it out, but our guests were very impressed! The presentation of the appetizers was great, and the presentation of plates and cutlery was really nice. When you have an event upstairs, you have your own bar so guests dont have to go down to get a drink. HUGE shout-out to our bartender Shea (I hope I spelled your name right!) - she was such a pleasant addition to our night. She was all smiles, interacted great with all of our guests, and often checked in with me to make sure anything I needed was taken care of. There were two other staff working upstairs whos names I didnt catch, but they were also great additions to the night. I was so pleased with the variety of beers that our party was able to select from. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed their beers and cocktails, but this doesnt surprise me as BTP has always put out delicious products! All in all, I would HIGHLY recommend anyone looking for a great space to host an event to do it with BTP. The space had the right ambiance, ample seating and standing room, incredible staff, delicious food and top notch beers. The booking and planning was seamless. Thank you so much to all of the staff for helping make the night a 100% success!

The place is nice. On the other hand, paying almost $50 for a simple burger, fries and a beer is exorbitant...

Great selection of beers with interesting seasonal selection. They have a really spacious spot with plenty of parking. Food is generally quite good. The brisket sandwich is really a home run. My only real gripe with this place is the serving style. Seat yourself, scan the menu, order and pay online and tip pre-service. If you want you can go to the bar to order. The servers don t really check on you, just deliver what you order. Some other details could use refining too. Food is served on plastic plates with a couple of ketchup packets for example. Adds to the feeling of this place being a kind of upscale cafeteria with craft beer. Feels like a cost saving measure, and fair enough, but improving that part of the experience would go a long way in my books.

Excellent eats and drink options.

So disappointing. We were so excited to have our first date night since covid here at BTP as we are huge fans of their beer. Well my 30$ chicken and ribs was awful, so dry and overcooked it felt like I was eating 2 week old leftovers that were put in the microwave for way too long. My partner got the spicy chicken sandwich which she described as ordinary and ended up with food poisoning. Needless to say, if you want to enjoy their beer, find another place to try it.

Dont bother making a reservation, Ashley at BTP wont email you back to verify your reservation and ruin your plans for that special someones birthday

One of the original Ottawa breweries, the location at city Center has a sprawling patio and lots of space inside too. Consistently good beer. Love the remote ordering set up to scan, order and pay at your table without waiting for a server. Prices are a bit high if you eat there as well but definitely worth a visit.

It s a pretty wacky and unique place. This may displease. For my part, I really loved the service and the quality of the products. The atmosphere is punk and artistic. The beers are skillfully brewed and varied. It s a must-see in the region.

I came here on Saturday night and it was packed! Staffs were nice, I liked the atmosphere. Beers were great actually! I ordered a flight and enjoyed most of them. Will definitely come back.

My partner and I absolutely LOVED the food and experience. We ordered sweet potato fries, corn bread, mac and cheese, chicken and waffles, pulled pork and creamy coleslaw! The mac and cheese alone was pure deliciousness and the portions were terrific. Everything was knocked out of the park. Cant say enough great things, thank you and we will be returning (very soon)!

Nice place with a nice atmosphere. The beers are very good and the food is excellent but pricey. Im not a fan of the online ordering system, actually my friends and I hate it. My wife does not drink and there are no options for her except for tap water. They should have a few options for non-alcoholic beverages like sparkling water.

The brisket beef sandwich and sweet potato fries are absolutely amazing!

Three friends and I were exposed to salmonella last week on Thursday, April 13. We were all sick for four days. We ordered the nachos and fried pickles. One of my girlfriends decided to take matters into your own hands and tested a stool sample which confirmed the salmonella poisoning. The restaurant has not returned our calls or messages.

Vish and his team are such professionals. Had an unfortunate experience and was resolved quickly and thoroughly. Grateful for the opportunity to speak to Vish and he was so attentive and took accountability. Would happily recommend this place to friends and looking forward to going back!

Good food, good beer. Not the cheapest, not the most expensive. Nice large venue with lots of seating. Very slight inconvenience of having to use my phone and enter my CC for each order... theoretically the staff is doing less so tipping should be adjusted accordingly. Theoretically.

Stick to ordering beers... Our group ordered at the same time but my daughter and I were given our food earlier than everyone else at the table. It took 3 trys for them to get my daughters order right... a problem that could have been avoided if they didnt require you to place your own orders online. There is a section to leave a comment i.e., modify your order but they didnt read the comments. I ordered the smoked tofu with fries and a root beer. The fries were good but the tofu was underwhelming. The root beer was brought to me in a can (just a can of PC root beer) to pour myself despite someone else at my table receiving theirs pre-poured, minor but odd. This place has a cool vibe but its overpriced and lacks service. Nearly $60 for two cans of pop, tofu, fries and a black bean burger served uber eats style is just not worth it.

If you are out cycling, this is an extra special spot to pull in right off the Trillium Line bike path. Food and beer are great, though be ready to order off your phone (not a huge deal!). The environment is awesome, definitely eat out on the patio if its a nice day!

Prices are a bit much for no table service. Even with no table service, I would expect some customer service Nobody came by to ask how our food was. Hamburger, Nashville chicken,and cauliflower bites were very good however, the ribs were very disappointing. (2 members of our party had them) Extremely small portion (3 ribs) and were dry and not fall off the bone like you would expect to see in well cooked ribs. May or may not go again.

The beer is great and on its own, would earn 5 stars. The sit-down experience, however, was atrocious and someone higher up needs to really reconsider what they ve set up. While trying to be innovative with QR codes and online ordering right to your table, this left a huge gap in basic restaurant service -- no one was specifically there to guide us through the beers or the menu; when I tried to ask about potential allergies, the guy told me he d go ask but then just straight up never came back to our table; and the servers/table cleaners weren t adequately trained in service for basic things like reaching over us to grab empty glasses, checking if we are done our pints several times over 5 minutes, or when asking us is everything good here? , actually waiting to hear my answer. There s no one I can even specifically say did their job poorly, and I don t blame the staff. This is absolutely systemic based on the decision to not have any accountability for any customers, and no training on how to make this innovative idea actually result in a better experience. Also, the food wasn t super fresh, felt like they relied on the deep fryer and pre-made food too much

To start off the staff there are so friendly and kind and just want to make sure that everything goes right for you. After that the food is just beyond amazing. Takes almost no time to get to you and you can really tell the chefs put their heart into it. Its clearly a great environment by the staff and the people who go in. I really hope more people check this place out. It really is five out of 5 stars

Wouldnt go again. I dont like that you have to order on your phone and pay with VISA. Also overpriced in my opinion.

Beer is good, the food is fine, but way too expensive. Went on the weekend for brunch. Each entree was ~$20, and avocado toast was a single piece of toast, with half an avocado, spinach, a fried egg, and pickled-onion on top. It was fine, but ~$20? Come-on, BTP! Wont be going back.

Beer is great, food is good. They still seem to be running a pandemic style use of QR code links to an online menu and online ordering model that doesnt understand which restaurant you are in or which table you are at. Online payment once you complete an order is simple. But ordering further rounds of beer or food means going through the whole process again. Diminished the overall experience.

Service was snappy and staff were friendly. Not really a huge beer guy, but they managed to find an option for me. Not trying the pulled pork tacos would be a crime, and the cauliflower wings with their Father Time hot sauce goes hard.

We in to share a flight of beer with my son. Friendly staff and quick service. Beer was good. The Pink Fuzz stood out.

Beers were cold, poutine was nice. Cauliflower wings/bites or whatever you call them need a little pizzaz, they weren t anything you couldn t do in your air fryer. Prices are abit high to, especially with the service style they have (casual). After tip, the app items came to 32$ We ve been a few times, and will be back. This time was just a touch disappointing

Waiters are pre-Madonna s that want to be in a library not. Bar. Too much attitude and not enough service.

They are so accommodating, you just have to make sure to order at the bar or on the app. But they are super friendly and lovely. They are never mean and they wont hit your funny bone.

I have been here several times over the years and have always had a good time. A lovely place to grab a drink, snack, or full meal, while hanging out with family and/or friends.

Really loved the spicy cauliflower wings. The other food ordered to our table looked really good too! The ordering thing through the phone will be hit or miss for people. For me personally, I loved that you paid right away cause you dont need to wait around for the bill at the end of the night. It was however sort of strange because we didnt have anything at the table, we had to get up and request things like napkins and water. For me thats not an issue, but Im sure some more *entitled* people might find it *below them* to have to *order for themselves*. Overall, I would definitely recommend for good food, drinks and atmosphere, but maybe not recommend for people who dont use cell phones or have a lot of allergies/general menu questions, or those who prefer chatting with the wait staff for hours on end. Poor floor handling always have advocated for this place but was very disappoited with the experience I had at this stablishment today. I brought 5 friends to meet up fot a birthday apparently half of the restaurant was reseved but was empty fot 2 houres while we were hanging out there and trying their drink and waiting fot a table the staff had no explanatioon on what happened with the people who reseved the tables and never showed up while we were theree ta consume ? If you dont have the pasion to serve and accomodate why would you want to work in a palce like this? we found the behaviour of the front girl childish...

Good beers for sure but really expensive even for craft ($12 for a 33cl can of stout which is brewed on site, not even imported) and the $25 burger was smaller than a hand while it looks HUGE in the photo... and was accompanied by fries of average taste (count on $4 more for sweet potato fries and homemade sauce, otherwise its Heinz ketchup in a small individual bag...) Calm atmosphere it was pleasant, there is room. So ambiguous, shared feeling... it was good but really expensive for what it was.

Great, good and friendly service

Been here a couple of times but most recent visit was worst, staff were friendly and helpful but both beer and food very low quality and expensive. Our burgers (chicken and beef) were dry buns, tasteless, and the fries were cold and tasteless as well. We ate about half and left. I ve had most of their beers now and nothing special, taste like generic beers but much better options out there. Go next door for food.

Overpriced takeout food with no flavour, personality or recognizable service. Disappointing on all fronts. It s basically re-heated take-out food that you order through a QR code instead of speaking to an actual server. You pay for your food, and are asked to tip at the same time - before you have even gotten your food, drink, or received service of any kind. And the service is minimal. Someone brought us our food and drinks, didn t ask anyone how they were or if they had any questions, and that was the last we saw of anyone. No one asked us how our food was, and if they had, they would have heard that it was bland, cold, dry and generally tasteless. The beer is underwhelming and really not very good. Will not be returning.

Staff are so friendly and helpful! I spilt something all over my white shirt and Madison was so kind and offered me a washcloth and tide-to-go to clean my shirt.

We have our own business near by and we loved to stop there after our classes for a drink with our students. The staff is always welcoming and they have a little something for every taste! Love this place!

We hosted a party for 60 people and they were fantastic to deal with from beginning to end. The space and the food were great. Would definitely recommend it as a place to have a party.

I had a great night with my friends but Im never going back there. Im admittedly at the upper age limit that would find ordering by phone acceptable but why is a human asking how things are going without being able to take orders. Also, the beer is in the next room, price it accordingly.

BTP and SmoQue Shack were amazing hosts for our Annual Corporate party! Food and drinks were exceptional and the staff were phenomenal! We cannot thank you enough!

Ive been to nearly every local brewery, and BtP is definitely one of the top ones in Ottawa. 90 minutes of free parking for customers is appreciated, given our citys unreliable transit. Taking off a star because Im not a fan of the new QR code ordering method and resulting lack of service. While beers were delivered promptly, given the brewery wasnt busy and I saw at least 5 staff, it feels a bit impersonal and lazy. I can understand this method more when the brewery is full, however I dont like tipping ahead of recieving any service. No one followed up with us after we recieved our drinks, which put us off from wanting to order anything further. Found it a bit silly that to sit down and order a can of beer, they charge nearly double (or more) for the same product they offer for purchase to-go in the bottle shop, given the lack of service. We visited another nearby brewery earlier in the night, the only thing they used a QR code for was to view menus. My party enjoyed getting to talk with and gather helpful recommendations from our server at that establishment, which reflected in their tip.

Great selection of craft beer styles available to-go, or for enjoying inside an on the patio when the weather complies. Food is southern-style barbecue and does a good job of soaking up the beer. One of the nicest things about this place is that its right on the Trillium trail so easy to walk/bike to.

Not going back here. Upon sitting down, we were told if we wanted to order anything, we use the QR code to order online or walk up and wait at the bar. No wait staff. The online ordering automatically added an 18% tip. Um, no. Im not tipping a website to take my order. We tried flagging down a staff member to grab us a water. Nope. Direct eye contact and blatantly ignored. Couldnt even order a water from the website because it didnt cost anything, so the site glitched and couldnt process the order. Flawless system. The food was super overpriced, and although the fries were good, the chicken sandwich was soggy and cold. To top it all of, it gave me food poisoning. Thanks for this great way to end my bachelor party. Hard pass.

I can understand why the place is popular; it s super modern and the beer is good (according to my friends; I don t drink beer). But the food wasn t great; one friend and I had the chicken and waffles and the chicken was dry and the portion was rather small. I found it to be unbearably loud in there too because of the high ceilings and acoustics of the place. Otherwise the service was fast and friendly. We had to do all of our ordering on our phones so be prepared for that.

Best poutine and pulled pork sandwich I have ever had! Loved the atmosphere of the restaurant with all the gorgeous artwork!

Ordered the 12h smoked brisket. I kid you not, 3 paper thin slices and soggy fries. I was so disappointed for 24$. I actually asked the waitress if that was all there is. I usually came here for beers with my friends. First time I ordered food. Not sure Ill even return for beers anymore...

Excellent service, a really good New England-style IPA (Aromatherapy) with mosaic hops -- among others -- and great sweet potato fries. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves!

First time here, heard good things but it wasnt for me. We ordered tried 4 different types of beers, none were appealing to either of us. I guess I only like mediocre lagers. The burger was under seasonsed, the poutine was over seasoned, the pulled pork wasnt anything to write home about, potato salad was plain and the fried pickles were just okay. I dont mean to sound negative but it just didnt meet my expectations. Ill go again soon and try other things - maybe itll be different but I cant currently recommend going.

Great indoor and outdoor space to enjoy local craft brew! The interior decor is experiential with wall to wall murals and unique pieces of art. The beers pretty good too ;)! Saddle up to the bar and sip some cold brews and chat with the owner.

Awesome artwork and beer. Neat brewery/restaurant next door piggyback concept: order food through phone at table and pay, then someone brings it out from the restaurant next door. The variety of choices was good and food was tasty. Plenty of seating available. The outside was a bit cafeteria style would be neat to have planter dividers or conversation couch area just to break up the space. I ll be back if I m ever in Ottawa again!

Brilliant food, great ambience and great service! They have whole variety of beers to choose from and their food is lip smacking great! The Patio is great and the they have ample seating space as well. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable. They know their beers and take the time to explain the differences. The beers are reasonable priced but food is priced a little bit on the higher end considering the portions. However the taste makes it a completely win! Would definitely recommend this place!

I love it here. Excellent brews, good food, great sunny patio at lunchtime. What keeps me coming back though is the staff. Wicked pple! Oh, they also have a great baby changing station/bathroom set up which I really appreciate. Thank you!

Beers were decent. Of the three we really liked we could only take home 1. Service was quick though patio was nice. Patio did have lots of hornets but we were warned... Its that time of year

Huge accessibility issues at BTP, which did not exist before. Wonderful brewery and staff, but as of September 2022, to pay for parking and order food at the table, you need a smartphone with data access. Wifi is available but very slow, so downloading the required apps (Indigo Parking and getitlocal apps) can take quite some time. Parking is free for the first 90 minutes (parking code OT403). Don t forget to charge your cellphone if you head there!

Noisy. Food was terrible. Nachos had bechamel sauce instead of cheese - nasty! Beer was fine. Would never order food there again - high risk for scurvy.

A good beer selection and growlers for take-out. Great smoked meat selection as well. Cant go wrong with the brisket poutine or the Nashville hot chicken. The vibes of this place are on point. The staff is friendly and table service is fast.

Good atmosphere - lots of space and tables. They had a variety and good selection of beers available on tap. Would definitely visit again.

IPA is amazing. Great staff, food looked amazing (didnt have any) and lots of fluffy dogs around.

First time here for the charity bike ride. Definitely wont be my last time. Such a friendly atmosphere and staff. So helpful and accommodating. Venue is amazing and so spacious. I was blown away. Thank you.

Great selection of micro-brewed beer, lots of cool southen US comfort food on the menu, service that is quick and friendly, and a big patio! Only minor complaint is the acoustics inside can get a bit distorted. Overall, one of my favorite pubs in Ottawa.

Went to this restaurant last night and I was super shocked at the ordering system. Not a fan. Especially for someone with an allergy, not having a server is not ideal, and the fact that they ask for a tip. The drinks were good. There were like 5-6 servers standing there doing nothing and taking pictures, all the while I just wanted water for my overly spicy burger that caused me to get sick. I d consider going back if they changed their ordering system.

I really enjoyed my time there. It was my first time ! The service was fantastic and to staff were nice. My only issue was the ordering system. Not very interactive to say the least. They are very hands off which made me not want to overly tip.

Worst bar experience in Ottawa so far: They ask you to pay and tip before even getting served. It feels like they are just after your money and they are clearly saying with this practice. Their order app has big flaws and it shouldnt be the only way to pay. The email adress is optional and the phone number is mandatory but USELESS when you want a copy of your receipt or track your order. The app just resets on its own after a few minutes and you have to remember the order number and type your email. They do not give you any physical receipts and I believe they cant even track what we order on their system. Since Ive told the waitress that it wasnt my order and she doubted my words. Servers are only here to bring you food and thats it. Whats the point in tipping when theyre not client oriented and when you cant even know how the service will be? Some servers are unpleasant when you tell them it is not what you have ordered and cant even apologize for their mistake. After mixing up my order, they just used a sketchy ingredient to rectify my order. It was obvious my plate was not the original meal. It really felt like I had a micro-waved meal. I have ordered the exactly same thing as my colleague 20 minutes before them. They got their order before mine and it was evident I didnt have the same meat quality in my plate. The meat was sore and super greasy. I felt scammed and robbed. I rarely write bad reviews, but this one is well deserved. I dont recommend going here and buying their beers even in other bars in town. You have plenty other options in the area after crossing the bridge in Hintonburg.

Very large indoor space and outdoor space. When I visited there was no table service, you ordered at the bar and brought your drinks to your table. Im not sure if they always use this model. Great beer!

The food was good, but doesnt compare to their previous location. The chicken and waffles was delicious but the batter didnt stick to the chicken at all. I ended up having to eat it on its own. The location is kind of an after thought so its a bit lack luster.

The atmosphere is rather cold but still pleasant. The noise level is adequate, no one has the impression that they are also with the neighboring table (There is room). The beers are good but dont stand out. Highlights: The place breathes, good variety of beers, varied and good quality food Weak point: Cold atmosphere and bar stools too low compared to the counter

Super awesome place! They do a good enough job in the beer department, and there s a big enough selection that there s something for everyone. The food however is insanely good. Like not even just for a brewery, it s some of the best BBQ in the city IMO. Jerk chicken is phenomenal, the pulled pork is juicy and flavorful. It s no joke. It s a laid back place, with a friendly vibe and just an overall cool place to hang out. Definitely recommend paying the place a visit
